This was a great find for us on a cold fall day! My wife and I have been craving a good bagel and we’re very thankful to find this place! We both had the obvious on a salt bagel which was as good as when we had it at a deli in NYC. Smoked salmon, cream cheese, cucumber, pickled onion and capers. Absolutely perfect! Will definitely be back.

Picked up a Rise and Shine & The TLT for about $14 on Sunday morning. My husband enjoyed the Rise and Shine (I enjoyed the bite I tried) & I loved the TLT (shown in photo) a complete mouthful!We showed up before the crowd & it took about ten minutes to prep. As soon as I got my food there was a bit of a line forming. There is outside patio sitting (its just some wire tables on patchy grass) that gets the job done.

Bagels were delicious! I also got the rise and shine breakfast sandwich with Taylor Ham. Yum! Double Cortado espresso drink was also well made. Will be back for the specialty bagels soon!

Walkable, friendly, always a line... Just what Im looking for at a neighborhood bakery. The Daly Bagel has new york style, doughy, chewy firm bagels. I tend to stay with Everythind, Asiago Cheese or Poppy with a shmear. The sandwiches take a bit take long to prepare, fresh does that... so do yourself a favor and call ahead. due to COVid, there are only 3 parties allowed inside at this writing, but Im not sure youd want to eat in the vestibule with the amount of traffic coming through the door. $3 Coffee is well roasted, not bitter, nor needing cream or sugar to cover up the flavor. One thing missing is Lox in the dairy case but they do have special holiday baked goods.

Tried the TLT on regular bagel, was not blown away. But I also had the breakfast sandwich (unsure of the name) on the Everything bagel, and I loved it! My wife did not, I think because of the onion flavor and all the seeds, so be mindful of that if you don’t like those things. The dark matter coffee is good, has a medium, acidic flavor. Iced coffee and drip were good. Bought a souvenir mug for $11 after tax.Staff were friendly and asked if I had a mask when I came in. I did not, so they gave me a black disposable mask.

Bagels/coffee are great, waiting 25 mins at NON-RUSH (10am Friday, 2 customers in front of me as I walked in) just doesn’t work. Ordered 1 bagel with cream cheese & tomatoes…… clerk painfully slow inputting orders in register, watched discombobulated shift change and employees casually checking cell phones. This is my neighborhood joint and I want to ‘LOVE’……. But cha gotta love me back with reasonable focus on delivery of your great product!!!

The Daly Bagel is a wonderful store. While the pandemic has prevented me from enjoying their interior dining, I will say that their bagels keep me coming back. I enjoy their Asiago bagels however If you are allergic to dairy or have dietary restrictions they have options that you will enjoy.

The food is wonderful at Daly bagel, if they get the order right. Unfortunately from my experiences, they have gotten my order incorrect almost every time I have placed an order for a bagel sandwich of some kind. The most common error is not putting cheese or bacon on the breakfast sandwich when ordered, but I have also had the sweet and tart made for me with none of the ingredients but cream cheese.I figured I would give them more chances since they are one of the only bagel places nearby, but this is the 8th error in a year and I will not be returning.I recommend this place if you are getting JUST bagels, but do not recommend it if you are wanting a bagel sandwich of some kind.

First time here, the place is nice clean and the staff super friendly and helpful i believe i might have found my new bagel home😏

Very nice place, is small so wait can sometimes be a bit long but worth it. Very delicious and decently priced. Quite enjoyed their bagel sandwiches and love their coffee. Overall delicious

Bagels are fine but not worth wait or the price. I ordered an everything bagel with lox spread (just a bagel is $2, while their sandwiches are ~$10) and they charged me for an Ultimate Sandwich (but gave me none of the trimmings they charged me for). If I had wanted to spend $11+ on a sandwich, that’s what I would have ordered.

It was cool. Staff was nice. Bagels good. Nothing really lacking, just have only been once so Ill upgrade to 5 stars next time.

Bagels and cream cheese are awesome but they need to improve on their customer service skills and learn how to make coffee. Dont ask them to put the sugar in your coffee, youll receive a rude response that you could do it yourself.

Great little local bagel shop with a dazzling array of bagel and cream cheese flavors and other sweet/savory treats. This place is POPULAR - expect to wait about 45 minutes per 10 customers in line (or call ahead and pick up at the back door!). For new York bagel fans, the Midwestern twist is that the bagels are a bit sweet - I recommend getting a savory flavor if the extra sweetness in the plain flavor isnt your favorite.

OMG such chewy carbs, so good, and funny: the obvious (choice) on the menu lox and capers and cream cheese, in perfect ratio, construction. I could eat two.

If i lived any closer to the Daly Bagel I would probably gain a million lbs from eating their bagels everyday. Every bagel i have had so far has been amazing! The salt and Asiago are by far my favorite as well as the garlic and chive cream cheese. Honestly some of the best bagels I’ve had, you have to try this place.

I LOVE their bagels and cream cheese, but just not a fan of their customer service. They misheard my order and accused me as if I had placed the wrong order in the first place. Even after the correction, they still got me the wrong food after a long wait. A simple acknowledgment and apologies on the mistake would have solved everything instead of giving a blaming attitude toward the customer.

Excellent bagels if you can get them. This has to be the slowest bagel shop Ive ever experienced in my life. Nobody has time to waste half their morning standing in line. They need a complete rehaul of retail operations.

Love this place! They have the best bagels around and they’re always fresh! Their housemade cream cheese is yummy, light & fluffy and comes in a variety of flavors. Some of my favorites are: plain, lemon lavender & cinnamon sugar bagels (especially warm), black & white cookie (so, so good), pretzels, & oat milk hot chocolate. I hear their chocolate chip cookies are very good but they never have them when I come. Amanda, the owner is super nice.

The Bagels are great. For the price of the food and wait time, the service could at least be polite - the cashier was rude when my fiance mistakenly ordered something they dont have on their menu anymore. It was an honest mistake, but was met with abrasive tone. Total mood killer to our pretty good Saturday morning on this snowy day. Still new to the area, but Ill hesitate returning here for bagels in the future

PLEASE : check your food when you leave everytime I come to this place its something new, today I ordered 3 bagels, 2 lox and 1 pizza, simple right?1 bagel had all cream cheese no salmon, my pizza bagel was made sloppy and my other lox bagel had an entire bagel on the bottom with a tiny bit of cream cheese, salmon all topped with another smaller bagel on top. Idk if the worker was tired, high or just new but a mistake like that shouldnt happen and to top it off my new order has the wrong cream cheese & no onion, yea I dont think ill be back until this place gets new management because its way too many consistency issues with their food. The people working there seemed overwhelmed despite outnumbering customers 2 to 1. Bagel sandwich was literally dripping wet. The person taking our order didnt know what sugar free sweeteners were or if they had them. The lady making our food order made it, then just left it behind the counter and walked off to do something else, had to flag down someone else to find our food. The coffee was fine.

Absolutely love the bagels and have been buying them since they were doing pop-ups on Madison Ave. Exceptional food every time! However, the service at the shop on Chicago Ave is truly lacking. I have been to the store 7-8 times in total and each time have had issues with the front of house service. I would absolutely love to see this place succeed, a true local business in my favorite local town. However, fixes need to be made to the efficiency at which orders are fulfilled and how (if?) customers are greeted when they enter/wait at the cash register.

Whoever says these employees are working fast havent been here in a while. With only 3 smalI parties allowed in at a time, if there are more than 2 people outside waiting, expect to stand there at least 20-30 minutes. The bagels and coffee are good but service is sloooooooow......

I went here today. I got there early, ive heard lines can form long before opening. It was 7:40 when I got in line, not bad I thought, only 8 people in front of me. Well, 8am rolls around and they open, the 2 ladies in the front bought enough bagels and sandwiches to feed half of Oak Park. Needless to say, the Daily Bagel associates working are FAST. It only took 15 minutes to get through their order. Soon after that was my turn. My reason for my visit today...taylor ham pork roll. The legends of this bagel sandwich in New Jersey are all true. It was time to see if the Daily Bagel could rival these legends.I must say, I want to know who made my sandwich because THEY ARE CRUSHING IT HERE AT THE DAILY BAGEL. Their taylor ham everything bagel sandwich stacks up with the best ive had in New Jersey. This place has just become my go-to for all things bagel sandwiches. I also highly recommend even if you end up waiting 30+ minutes.TLDR - The bagel sandwiches here are amazing. Get the Rise and Shine with pork roll.

Bagels/coffee are good, but the line is deceptively short outside as it crawls to the door. Waited +45 mins due to them being swamped in pickup orders and a general inefficient setup. Order ahead or don’t bother during the weekend rush.

Grew up on the East Coast and have eaten bagels in each place I’ve lived along the way. There are regional differences, but the Daly Bagel advertises itself as the right combination between midwestern and east coast goodness, and that pretty well nails it. Apparently the owner grew up in New Jersey and she understands that a bagel needs to be chewy to be great. Have gotten bagels from here several times and all of the flavors have been terrific. I would recommend this place to any East Coaster who is a little homesick for the taste of a genuine bagel, but judging from the lines each day, Midwesterners are finding out how good these bagels are very quickly. There is a rumor that once they expand into sandwiches after the quarantine there just might be a Taylor ham sandwich on the menu and then I will know I have reached nirvana.Update: 1-28-2021They delivered on their promise to add Taylor Ham!!! (Im a little late in posting this update; it happened several months ago) Have had it several times and each time is like a little journey back to my hometown in NJ. Delicious and a great alternative to the sausage and bacon versions of all the other breakfast sandwiches. Go in and give it a try! You wont be disappointed.Update 4-27-21If you havent tried Daly Bagels Bavarian pretzels, you are officially deprived. If you have ever been to Bavaria, or to Philadelphia for that matter, you will be thrilled to taste this addition to the menu (I am a little late finding out about this new development).

Great local place. Bagels are tasty with good crust and chew. They run $2/each, without cream cheese. On the smaller side, but I think many are used to grocery store size bagels. They are great re-warmed or toasted! Variety of flavored cream cheeses and homemade pastries/specialty items (i.e.: bagel dogs, brownies). I believe they serve Chicagos favorite: Dark Matter coffee.Popular spot on the weekends with a short wait due to capacity restrictions with Covid-19. No cash is accepted, at this time, only electronic pay and credit cards.Crew seems friendly and helpful to customers. Visited: Saturday A.M., February 27th.

Noting like it anywhere in the region . Really hard working, friendly people offering up the best bagels and more .They have their own blend of coffee thanks to Dark Matter Coffee . Fantastic bagels! They also have a great assortment of cream cheeses and spreads as well as pastries (I will be back for a chocolate chip cookie!!). They have great covid restrictions in place, which causes you to have to wait a bit of a long line out the front door if you dont phone ahead (phone ahead and its contactless back door pickup!)

This was my first visit. The wait in line wasnt bad, and social distancing was followed. Bagels were pretty good too

Coffee was excellent. Had a vampire killer and a cinnamon sugar with berry basil cream cheese. Both were very good. Would not get the vampire killer toasted next time.

Yet another place that hasnt mastered the art of combining a decent product with a great customer experience. Twenty-four people in line on a Thursday AM and slowwwww service. While we were waiting one of their workers came out and posted signs all along the side street saying no parking - customer pick up. They cant restrict parking on a village street. I dont own a bagel shop but if I did, Id put a kiosk outside my establishment that just sold bagels - bags of bagels for pick up so that people that want them dont want for 40 minutes behind people getting breakfast sandwiches, iced coffee, etc.

Understaffed slow and overall too challenging to buy product easily and bagels are decent but small and expensive. Wish they’d do a little better ymmv.

The look and tone of the place is cute from outside and inside. The product and customer service was a pretty big disappointment. Was excited to try this new place that everyone has been raving about. Instantly counter girl was pretty bossy and not friendly. Staff didn’t seem like they wanted to have a friendly conversation. And then even sadder the bagels were not good and the coffee and chai tea latte tasted like water........$14 for this.....really wanted to like this place but big disappointment

First impressions are the most important. A new business has a responsibility to provide the product they market or be open about what the plan will be to provide the product. Today is my third attempt trying to place an order- No Answer for the past 90 minutes, no answering machine/voicemail- for all I know, I could be calling the wrong number. Not very Impressed.
