Its Oak Park, so mask up. This is a nice collection of products made by different crafts cooperatives throughout the world. The inventory has taken a hit during the pandemic, but there is still plenty to look at. It is a mini-feast for the senses: bright colors, scented soaps and many textures for art objects, table linens and apparel. Take a browse here and the other fine shops in Downtown Oak Park.
Staff is very helpful. It has a beautiful collection of unique items. When you buy there, you are helping poor all over the world by buying their products.
Many unique finds
Very friendly and welcoming. I was looking for another store that was similar to World Market and Im glad I visited. I recommend anyone to see all the items from around the world. I will come back.
I love shopping here! If you are looking for a unique gift to someone or for yourself you have to stop here. And the fact that our purchases help someone on another side of the world that we dont see makes me feel amazing, and considering that I was once a child of poverty I know that Im reaching back to help someone else along the way. Unique items and the volunteers are so helpful and sweet.
I love the llama socks I bought there.
Great store with a mission. Lovely gifts and welcoming staff.
Things in this store is very expensive
I love all the beautiful merchandise and staff are helpful and friendly
So friendly - so helpful - great giftsThis store does not at all deserve the one star rating below. The 4 or 5 times I have come here to pick out some jewelry as a stocking stuffer or secondary gift for my girlfriend the volunteer staff has been awesome to me. One nice lady helped me for 15 minutes, picking out necklaces and earrings and showing them to me until we found the right one for my girl. This is a really cool store, especially for getting fairly priced, interesting jewelry.
Nice selection of jewelry, apparel, and interesting items for sale. The concept of fair trade empowering the producers of all items sold at least makes purchases seem productive. Additionally the sales people are always friendly and tolerant of children.
Purveyor of fair trade items from around the world. Store is run, Im told, completely by volunteers. Knick-knackish, hand made items. Prices are fair if you like culturally artistic items.
These people are passionate volunteers. Nice selection of stuff.
I love the jewelry section, and always find unique items for gifting or for my apartment. Not to mention it is a non-profit so you know your money is going to a good cause!
Unique handicrafts from the third world
Really cool store that supports so many artisans across the world. My only suggestion is that the volunteer-store-workers dont all attempt to engage customers, its a little overwhelming.
Great spot for holiday shopping! 🎄🎁
Nice gifts.
