Weve been with Bay Alarm for years and theyve always been prompt when we needed technical help and support. They offered to put our account on hold when we found ourselves at home during the shutdown and not in need of the service. The customer service has been nothing but pleasant. While I wish we lived in a world where alarm services werent required I am happy to call myself a Bay Alarm customer.

Driver with the sticker “2013” probably couldn’t get up early enough and ended up late to work in the morning. In order for this driver to account for his/her mistakes he/she was tailgating and cutting off people in traffic.

Rudest, most unprofessional technician I have ever dealt with. Alarm stopped working properly a week ago. Scheduled a tech to come out and took a half day off work. The clown they send out, who works in security, doesn’t even know how to close a gate much less diagnose a problem. Nearly lets the dogs escape the yard by leaving the gate open, and when I ask him to please close it, he merely props it closed rather than latch it. Strike one.When he enters the home, he literally never took more than 2 steps away from the front door, of a 2-story home, to diagnose two code errors. First thing he says is that the appointment isn’t free and asks whether I’m prepared to pay. A little shocking that’s the first thing he speaks to. Next, he points to an old smoke alarm mount on the ceiling and states thats the problem. I inform him that the mount hes pointing to is not wired to anything and has been empty for as long as Ive lived here but that the problem started a week ago. He smugly says his 6-years of experience tells him otherwise and he doubles down and says thats the problem. I offer to call the home owner to verify that the mount has been empty for years. His response is to snort rudely at the home owners name, which is an unusual but beautiful name. Strike two.I can’t reach the home owner, so I ask him if he wants to check the second level. He responds snidely, the second level of what? I reply, the house, because we’ve already discussed the house has two levels. This clown starts giving me even more smug attitude at this point and says the problem isn’t down there. I look at him confused at this point. I’m wondering which quality is really at work with this guy: stupidity, laziness, too much pride that a woman might have pointed out that he made a mistake, total lack of professionalism, or all of the above? I said I didn’t like his attitude. So he grabbed his ladder and said to find another tech. Then he left and purposely left the gate open for the dogs to get out. So yes, all of the above plus spite. Strike three.My opinion, avoid this company at all costs.

I always prefer supporting local businesses and these folks local and seemed that BAY ALARM were committed to the community. Sadly, as theyve grown theyve become less available and much less responsive. BAY Alarm systems are good basic alarms, but do require service from time to time. We have a contract that we cant easily get out of and BAY ALARM is too busy to replace a battery that requires a Bay Alarm technician. I wont stop trying, but we have been trying to set an appointment for weeks and cant get a call back. Not Great.

Lia was extremely helpful with helping us understand the different security features and helped us determine the best setup for our needs. We never felt pressured into any decisions and Lia was incredibly patient with our numerous questions and concerns. Will and Edgar installed our system and were very prompt, respectful, and incredibly informative. Would highly recommend!(Note: we interacted with several companies, but most were too aggressive and not understanding. Bay Alarms team were the only folks we felt comfortable working with, knowing they are putting our interests ahead.)
