Belcampos supreme ethics around meat production really make eating here a meaningful dining experience. They say, Belcampo was founded with a purpose: to create meat that’s good for people, planet and animals. It shows, and the burgers are absolutely flavorful and delicious. The beautiful outdoor patio at Jack London Square overlooks sailboats. This time, I tried their Satay Chicken Salad. I also got a side of hot french fries with house made ketchup which was delicious. I highly recommend their ordering cocktails from their full bar tended by experienced staff. Once youre finished, save some time to walk around the waterfront at Jack London Square- its truly a hidden gem in Oakland.

I feel lucky to have visited Belcampo in person on a Saturday in Oakland. I read about them in a magazine years ago! I was so excited to see their restaurant in Jack London Square. The host was very nice and directed us to our outdoor table and explained about ordering on the qr code app or we could come in and order at the counter as well. The outdoor seating was great! Awesome view and saw some sailboats head out to the bay. The service was so fast! Our beers were brought out a few minutes after I placed the order and then our burgers came out shortly after. They are quick to clear your plates as well. Really enjoyed our burgers-one note-Id order medium well next time instead of medium as they were both a bit on the medium rare side-but all in all-everything was delicious! The small fries were more than enough for the 2 of us to share-I really like their house made ketchup. Cant wait to go back!

BEST BURGER IVE HAD IN MY LIFE(LAMB BURGER)So Ive been traveling around and am no stranger to this foodie life style but I just have to say that this burger was amazing. The brioche buns was soft and perfectly toasted; the lamb patty which I ordered medium rare was fatty, tender, juicy, and seared to perfection; the patty also had a black garlic aioli sauce which I assume had a lot of the lamb fat but also had a slight acidity that balances all that fat to perfection; the onion sprouts added a pleasant freshness to the flavor.I left the restaurant with complete satisfaction!Aside from the food,The service was quick and eager to please. The vibe was very relaxing with the view of the ocean. The ordering process in regards with the pandemic was quick and easy.I can honestly say the overall experience was 5 over 5.Do yourself a favor and visit this place!

Delicious quality food, stylish ambiance and wonderful friendly staff. Kitchen was busy due to the amazing weather bringing out the crowds, but the manager was exceedingly gracious and took great care of us. Thank you, we’ll be back!

It took 28min, for my sister and aunt to get a pork chop.... My fries 1/4 if them were extra crispy.... My burger was good... They shouldnt assume everybody knows how to order from the menu with their phone.....

Excellent food, great service, just be warned of splurge prices. A quirk of the restaurant is that you have a food runner but no waiter per se - you order and pay online. Im a fan of this, but not everyone is. Also one of the quirks of the location is the trains blasting their horns going by - not the fault of the restaurant, but something to consider.

Delicious food, very attentive waiting, beautiful outdoor seating views. One downside is the restrooms need more attention. Two were unusable due to significant hygiene challenges. Will leave that to your imagination.

Burger Patty was excellent, brioche bun was on point. - 4 starsPrice - $18 is too much for what this is. Doesnt even include much fries. - 2 stars for value.Location is very cool. Nice space inside. Jack London is fun to hang out.Service - 3-stars. Nothing to comment on. They didnt call my name for my to-do order. Food was cold, though they did offer a token apology.

This restaurant has delicious food! Their staff give excellent service. The atmosphere was relaxed. I ordered an Asian soup that i cant remember how to say or spell but it was delicious! I also had a burger with sweet potato fries. The beef was cooked medium well as I requested and the bun held together which made for clean eating. Everything was perfect including the ketchup and garlic butter for the fries. The farm fresh meats made all the difference. Ill be going back again.

This restaurant was a real treat with great service and exceptional food. I had the Satay Chicken Salad. It was a symphony of flavors dancing in my mouth. I will definitely return to Belcampo the next time I am in Oakland.

A combo meat market grill offering delicious small plates and outstanding entree. Service excellent. Cool evening so they lit a heater and gave us blankets - why eat inside? Wine list a little too heavy with many $100+ bottles and not a wide selection lower. Upshot Red Blend at $65 was excellent.

This place is delicious! Yes, it can be pricey, but its worth every penny! The meat quality is supremely amazing! The premium ice tea was stellar! Those fries were perfect. Must go.

Called three times, the first time they answered and left me on hold for 15 minutes and then hung up. The last two times they never answered. At least say you cant take phone orders at the moment. Food is good, but I hope they can improve their customer service.

Great new place for some quality meat. All our dishes were great and their meat is fresh and naturally aged. If you are a meat lover, Belcampo is probably the go to place. Confusing and annoying ordering system. They need a frickin tech support hotline for this bizarre online ordering system here, and rather than just have a waiter take your order, you need to fill it out online and then confirm it. Due to the confusing nature of their set-up, we ordered food and sat waiting for it for an hour before a waiter came over and informed us that no order appeared online for our table. A very frustrating and over-complicated system. Ill never come here again. Just send a waiter next time sheesh.

Well I was very excited to go to their restaurant and also because it seemed they had great options in the butchershop. They serve all 100% grassed meats and we got the BELCAMPO BURGER with fat fries (thats when they fry the fries in duck, bacon and tallow fat) and also the STEAK FRITES with animal styles fries (when they pour some of the fat fries oil on the fries). You can total taste the tallow, duck and bacon fat in the fries (delicious by the way) the steak was made to perfection with the butter and sauce that came with it, bomb.com.For us the best dish was the BELCAMPO BURGER with fat fries. It was excellent juicy thick burger with the right condiments.I gave it a three start because as I said in the beginning I was looking forward to getting some things from the butchershop and I was disappointed, because they said they had chicken wings on the app, but they didnt, bacon was peppered and Im not a fan, they should have option to have it just plain, no pepper. I was disappointed because the options were not as wide as I felt in the chicken department. Bbq Manhattan was exceptional. She had a citrus sprites that was quite nice but not my thing. We had burgers, which were excellent. She got the greens on the side and I had the animal fries. I had forgotten how good fries could be! Her greens were very nice but a little over dressed. She asked for more greens to mix in (which they gladly provided) and that did the trick. Service was attentive and friendly without being cloying.Looking forward to our next visit.

So disappointing. We just had dinner here tonight, $142 for pork chop, ribeye, and some sides. Wasn’t shocked about the price, was just expecting some good food with bigger portions- which we didn’t get. The mashed potatoes had to be returned because they were freezing, and the waiter didn’t even blink an eye when we complained about it. The waiter (smaller gentleman) was also blatantly rude to a customer right in front of everyone and it made us uncomfortable to even eat there. The friendly Hispanic male host sat a young lady at a 5 top, and our waiter confronted him about it IN FRONT OF HER- and right in front of our table. Really nice way to treat paying customers. Save your money, the view/ambiance isn’t worth it. They have better customer service at McDonald’s.

Lovely restaurant and between the order-on-your-phone and plenty of outside seating, its a Covid safe(r) space too. Glad they are still going strong.

I really wanted this to be a wonderful experience because their restaurant is so beautiful. We sat on the patio and the environment was perfect, until our waiter took order wrong, and then we didn’t get the food for 50 minutes. No joke. And they were not busy. The manager came out and offered to pay, my husband said no let’s split it, but as soon as we walked out and he told me his steak was warm- not hot when it came out, I immediately wished we had let them pay for the meal completely. The short rib Mac and cheese was a let down. The kids Mac and cheese- which we never ordered but received anyway- is a choking hazard for kids. The bread is fluffy. Beautiful place, decent food but I think you’ve got to get some kinks worked out.

We got table immediately and they gave good recommendation to their steaks, which were perfect! If you’re in the mood for a great steak, this is the best place for you.

Excellent service and food. Enjoyed the grass-fed beef ribeye steak with extra crispy fries. Outstanding paired with a side of Brussels sprouts. The duck-fat fries are over-the-top! Also, some of the finest beef tartar we’ve had in the US. Others in our party had the aged burger and said it was fantastic. Nice open environment. They also sell meat, seasonings, and other goodies. A great alternative to the higher priced establishments in the area.

Grilled chicken sandwich had way too much maynaise. It was delivered very quickly before I had a chance to ask for mustard. Cocktail drinks were weak.Environment was great with outdoor seating, heat lamps, and well spaced tables.

A most excellent restaurant. Belcampo defines farm-to-table. Everything they serve is raised on their own farm in a sustainable, humane and planet-friendly way. The food is mouth wateringly delicious and the staff beyond polite and friendly. Highly recommended!

I had a great time here at Belcampo. They do temperature checks at the door which makes dining more reassuring. I ordered the kale cesar salad with added steak. I loved the bacon and the soft boiled egg however the steak was a little on the chewier side. Also, had one of the best arnold palmers. I’m giving this place 4 stars because our drinks were very late.

This restaurant has a wonderful array of menu items and all the meat is delicious. I have yet to taste the fish but the burger is fabulous. An easy, and I mean really easy, way to greatly improve your homebound experience. Grab a Double Fast Burger with some duck fat fries. Super fast, professional, and delicious!

We had to wait 45 minutes for our table - which we had reserved - because the previous occupants would not leave. There is a clearly posted notice indicating that everyone had their table for 90 minutes and then they should go. Not only did our table not leave, but they didnt respond to the staff asking them to go, either. It shouldnt matter, but we had 3 hungry children to feed, which was why we made a reservation in the first place. When we were seated, our server was clearly high or very, very drunk, and smelled strongly of booze. He was literally slurring his words. We would have complained/walked out, except for the afore-mentioned fact that we had three hungry children to feed. Dont go here, unless you want to wait hours for your food to be served to you by a drunk person. We will obvious never, ever be back. Unless there is a flood, and no food is available any where else. If I could give this less than one star, I would .

Went for my bday 🥳Temp was taken, masks required, outdoor seating only, heat lamps under the tent and tables 6ft apart. The staff was amazing, the front end manager was SUPER and the manager was a sweetheart 💘. Ill be back for damn sure and not just for my birthday 💯🧚🏾‍♀️

Unfortunately my visit here wasnt very good, Service needs some work, they were very scattered, wandering around with orders not sure where they go. Food was an issue, we ordered two starters, Lamb shwarma, the meat scewers, both showed up under cooked the chicken was still raw on the inside. I ordered the burger it was also under cooked but good. Manager awas very nice about the situation and removed them from the bill.I will give it a month or two before I try it again.

Went to Belcampo, had a unique request. The gentleman who helped me didn’t know the answer so he asked helped from the manager. The manager came in, handled my request, and there was no hassle. I love their bone broth and customer service!Will be back to get more meats as well!

Solid food and restaurant but another waiter (not ours) was petting multiple dogs and serving food and drinks right afterwards. I love dogs like the next guy but that was unsanitary.

This place has a really great butcher shop but get ready to pay top dollar for everything. Its a bit ridiculous to pay 30.00 for a double cocktail.

Let me start by saying that Belcampo used to be my favorite burger spot. I have noticed that the quality of my food is not the same as prior orders. The belcampo app is not user friendly either. Redeeming rewards are nearly impossible. I ordered food for an evening delivery and received the order (4) times consecutively the next day. I was then told by staff that the app was “crap”and not to use... Then I was told by management that the App “bug” had been fixed. On a separate occasion I ordered online my order was not processed correctly and I physically came in and encountered rude staff. Tonight 6/14/20. was the final blow I attempted to order and yet again could not redeem points. To add insult to injury when I placed the order I realized that I was charged a delivery and service fee!!!! The app was recommended by staff because the delivery fee was supposed to be $0. Overall I’m a creature of habit and I noticed a lack of consistency. Don’t feel like a valued customer and won’t be returning. I articulated my concerns to “William” and he told me he was “sorry” to hear about my concerns. No attempt was made to rectify the situation. Not the way to treat your customers.

You choose your own meat to have cook to your specification. I had rib eye steak and roasted corn delicious. Nice bar and great service. A little slow when it comes to picking your meat.

Only been once but I think it is way overpriced (and I live in SF). Had the heirloom tomatoes salad and it was something like $14 and like half the size I was expecting. Tasty but just whatever. I’ll have to go back to see if I can score them better.

Service was good which always makes for a pleasant experience. The bacon Caesar was great although I don’t recommend it as a main dish. It has actual anchovies and the whole dish is quite salty. Great as a side to share.My companion had the porterhouse which is a pork chop cut like a porterhouse steak. It was super tender with a nice toasty crust. The sun-dried tomato reduction added a great element.No drinks but I suspect the cocktails are great and would love to go back another day. Oh, and you can pick up fresh meats, eggs, bone broth, and spices at the market while you are there.

This is a review on the ambiance of the restaurant. Firstly, I did not expect for this to be a sit down restaurant. I felt very uncomfortable as I felt judged for being unaccompanied. The waiters had the audacity to ask me to move because apparently if you come on your own takeout is the suggestion. Just let me enjoy a meal by what could have been a cordial spot by the shoreline. The food was good but won’t be back unless this restaurant welcomes everyone.

The restaurant itself is clean and open. The food was absolutely amazing. We had noticed there were no salt and pepper shakers on the tables but due to the flavor of the food, they were not necessary. There were three of us and we each got something different which allowed us to taste each other’s. All of it was equally delicious. I just wish we did not have to drive an hour to get there.

Placed an order to pick up, got home and it was missing the side order. This also happened the week before but since we ate outside we were able to go back in and get the order. Also my chicken sandwich was shoved into a small box which caused condensation and my bun was soggy. Maybe use a regular size box and include the fries. Check your bag before you leave people! Happened twice in one week and their prices are high.

Awesome bone marrow michelada

An amazing Burger! Deep and robust beef taste. The french fries are excellent, and the vegetables when prepared with marrow are outstanding. Right now theyre giving timers a discount coupon after their meal and you can use your discount to purchase some really amazing eggs at a bargain price. The service is excellent and the decor is most pleasing.

Absolute perfection. Had lunch today Saturday, August 31, 2019. I had the Steak and Eggs and my wife had the Belcampo Burger with Duck Fries and Broccolini. The meat on both was perfectly prepared and the taste was out of this world. Everyone should come here. Bar staff and wait staff were super nice.

Have had a few delicious meals here with my family. We always love visiting Jack London. Our favorite items are coming off the menu, but were looking forward to finding new favorites. And the Gone in 60 Seconds cocktail is probably one of my favorite cocktails of all time, anywhere! Even if you think you dont like mezcal, try it!!!

Went to Bel Campo for a birthday brunch! they were very accommodating and able to fit a big group in last minute. Our waiter, Roger, was nice and fast. The deviled eggs appetizer was my favorite! And the Benedict entree was one of the best Benedict’s I’ve ever had. The bacon was perfectly cooked, it as served on biscuits and the hollandaise was made with tomatoes. So good.

Great food! Amazing beef tartare and the 100 day aged burger. Also, happy to see them pouring beer by local breweries. Prices are very reasonable for the quality of the product. Staff was attentive and courteous. Atmosphere of restaurant is fantastic.

5-16-20:Tried the Belcampo burger + fries during the shelter in place period where to-go was the only option. The burger was so delicious. It had melted cheese, carmelized onions, lettuce and a special sauce 👍. Patty was very thick. The fries came with a ketchup aioli sauce that hit the spot!I ordered a medium cooked burger but it came out much closer to rare. Since I was just eating outside, I went back in and they made me a new burger. I felt bad to waste the food but happy that they gladly made a replacement.Thank you for being open during this shelter in place. Would definitely come back again.

You can order your exact cut of meat from the case and they cook it to order! Veggies and sides also great. This place is perfection. Lovely, knowledgeable, friendly, and dedicated staff - from the bar (excellent cocktails) to the back counter. Do yourself a favor and check this place out!

Best rib sandwich in the bay

Healthy and organic meats, with special attention given to their youngest patrons! We had the fish market special during the week, a halibut with a heaped over strawberry vinaigrette, and the Fresh-cut French fries, which are always a hit. My family and I will definitely be back!

The bad service here was completely unexpected. I fully expected to sit out on the patio, have some great food, and leave happy. Instead what happened was we were seated, and then ignored for far too long. When our server finally made an appearance she was much more concerned with rattling off her script than with listening to what I was saying. She stopped me mid sentence (as I was ordering) to tell me her name and give me some random information. I’ve been waiting and I’m hungry— at this point I don’t care what your name is! Sorry, just take my order. Food was meh. Nothing memorable so for that alone we won’t be back.

Food was outstanding. Service was friendly, but needs a little work. Were given a 20 minute wait time. At 30 minutes, checked in - there were plenty of tables, but they were having trouble getting them bussed. Waiter was friendly and attentive when there, but got very little help from busboys, who left us without silverware or share plates that we asked for. One busboy asked us to give a positive review on Yelp and to mention him specifically - dude, love the self promotion, but cmom, these are fine dining prices and Im not your cousin.

I won’t ever be coming back to this restaurant. For a $16 burger, you’d think they’d be able to cook it properly, season it, and have decent toppings. 3 people at my table ordered burgers and all three had to be sent back. Two came back still raw! I think they’re afraid of seasoning because the burger has no flavor and a few onions on it. The service is so slow as well. It took almost 30 minutes to just get our mimosas and over an hour for our entrees. For a place that just opened, I expected the best. They better figure it out soon before they dig a hole for themselves that they can’t get out of.

Took family of six to dinner, was expecting something great. Two ordered a glass of wine, I ordered a beer, it took about twenty minutes to receive my beer. Water said it’s the bar tenders fault as he made it sound like it happens all of the time. I felt the food was over priced for what you got. Two of my family members ordered the chicken sandwich. They said there was more breading than chicken, not worth it. One other ordered a burger well and it came medium rare to medium. I ordered steak frites, pricey for a few chunks of meat pre sliced and a pile of fries. Not coming back and if I could give this zero stars I would. The so called chef CEO needs to pay attention to what’s going on in these reviews.

Visited here recently and had a steak and eggs. It was perfectly seasoned and cooked. Their staffs were kind and did provided an excellent customer service.

Sat outside on a pleasant Monday for lunch. The staff was very helpful and attentive. The food was plentiful and tasty. The lamb in the shwarma was tender, the sauces good . The fries were disappointing: not crisp, just a big limp heap. Because its pricey, I would have expected better.

The Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich was life changing - not too spicy, but perfectly spiced. I think they must have had smoked paprika or powdered chipotle pepper on there. Whatever it was... Simply delightful. They should actually make a commercial of customers tasting the sandwich for the first time... It would be a hit for sure. Oh! And dont forget to upgrade to the tallow fries. Theyre fried in tallow (beef fat) and theyre worth it. So good! This place is a gem. Excellent food, cheerful atmosphere, great products in the shop, and an excellent butcher make Belcampo an excellent stop for cheat day, brunch with friends, or even date night. Just get yourself there!

The Jack London Square location is great for fresh meat and other grocery supplies during Covid-19. They have such quality organic and grass fed steak (the first time I loved American steak was because of Belcampo). It is pricey but worth the occasional splurge.They started offering produce boxes as well, and I like stocking up on their bone broth, frozen tom kha gai soup, and frozen sausages.If you need pantry items like eggs, butter, flour, milk, even masks and toilet paper, they sell them too. And they have wine, On the Rocks brand cocktails, and Fort Point beer to go.The service here is really wonderful. I sent my friend a care package and part of the order was mixed up. They were so great about fixing it for her and added some extra items to make up for her time.They have a good amount of the restaurant menu to go as well. The sides are great if you are cooking a main but want to supplement your meal with something prepared (celery root bone broth puree, cauliflower rice, brussel sprouts, broccolini, and lamb meatballs are all solid).Currently for Covid-19, they are offering free delivery within a certain radius of all their open locations. Since I’m in SF I drive over, but it’s worth it. The SF Soma location of Belcampo is a ghost kitchen with a limited menu and no fresh meat.

I would probably give three starts for the food if it werent so pricey. Being farm to table isnt enough, especially at these prices. Needs to taste awesome and be well prepared. Not one dish really impressed me, and both of us dining just felt kind of gross after our meal. I was expecting some amazing meat at least, but everything was eh.
