Wonderful grocery shopping experience. The last time I was at a grocery store this great I was living out-of-state in Texas and shopping at H.E.B. if that helps anyone. Excellent meat, produce, and dry-goods. I didnt get any dairy items, but that section looked well-stocked and high-quality too. I especially appreciated the wide assortment of bottled sauces, jams, honey, and other less common items. Checkout was fast and the store staff was friendly. Ill definitely be back again.

This conveniently located store has a ton of great stuff. Bonus: specialty items like preserved lemons, gourmet chocolates, and cheeses from local creameries! I went for the salad bar and left with a sack full of cheese and chocolate.

I love Piedmont Grocerys Hot Foods selections: the sliced flank steak, salmon, roast lamb, fried & roasted chicken, international and American hot and cold entrees, soups, and the salad bar. Please be careful with the shredded cheeses. I have found mold in them occasionally.The price for the hot sides should be a little less.I appreciate your full service meat counter and prime and choice graded meats. More sensibly priced than that huge, gourmet natural foods grocery store.Additionally, offer a wider selection of desserts. They have the best selections of foods, fruits, vegetables, and meats. Eventually, this beautiful store had everything that I needed. Also, I love their store so much than any other, for it was clean, and the staff was very friendly. In the end, I came to realize that I will come back. Thank you!

The store itself was fascinating. Theyve got everything I need. Especially for my sons stuff and snacks. I highly recommend doing some of your grocery shopping at this store. I stumbled upon this store when I was with my son. All the meats and vegetables were fresh, which I like the most. They had a wide range of everything selections.

This is the only grocery shop I always go to whenever I go shopping for our necessities. It is near our place, thank God! And they sell from groceries to hardware stuff. Their products were well-organized and well-presented. You can easily find dairy products in one aisle and the same with other products, too.

Piedmont definitely isnt the cheapest grocery store around, but the butchers are great and they carry specialty items that arent always widely available.

Compact neighborhood grocery but still manages to a good assortment of just what one needs. Slightly more expensive than, but ever so much more superior to Safeway. Excellent produce and meat counter. Courteous, quick service from checkers and baggers who will not smash your tomatoes or bread. For those nights one doesnt feel like cooking, there is an excellent salad bar and steam table that I usually find to be better than Whole Foods.

A bit on the pricey side, but they also carry a surprisingly large offering of groceries. Check out the lunch time cheese and dips sampling bar. The hot and cold prepared food bar by the oz is quite good, with lots of comforting and also healthy options. I recommend the salmon.

Its expensive compared to supermarkets. But its convenient for me because of their big parking lot (in the back). They have a decent hot case, although they do let some items get stale and dont frequently replace some items.

This is our grocery store. Mostly because they have a real butcher counter with real butchers. And if you care about that you will know what I mean. Its rare and its a disappearing element. And they are awesome.

Nice small community grocery store in Piedmont/Oakland area, and they actually have black people and a diverse employee staff. Thats hasnt always been the case in this area but its nice to see progress in even the wealthy parts of Piedmont/Oakland. Good store for quick items, but expensive.

Love love love this grocery. Everyone there is always friendly and willing to help you find an item. The meats and deli team will guide you through selecting the right cuts of meat. They have one of the best selections of cheese I have seen in a long while and an international grocery selection that resurrects all of my best childhood memories.

The salad and hot foods bar is a great option to grab a quick lunch or dinner. There are even tables to sit at outside. For groceries and produce they have a little bit of almost everything. Fruits and veggies are great, but the nuts and snacks are often a bit stale-- I dont buy those there anymore.The staff are committed to the store; great people who are friendly, helpful and work well together.Very glad to have a full-service grocery within walking distance of all the shops.

Youre paying the price of convenience with Piedmont grocery as its been a fixture of the community for ages. Im torn about this place because part of me appreciates the impact they have on the community of Piedmont Ave and the charm of this store. But the practical side of me says, the small selection and exorbitant prices (on par or higher than whole foods) are simply not sustainable. I still find myself making the convenience justification with Piedmont Grocery and visiting there occasionally for the hot bar or a handful of items but if I need a weeks worth of groceries or some unique ingredients, I have no choice but to look elsewhere.

Very good product, has some fancier items you cant find in places like Safeway, but understandably a little bit more expensive. Definitely worth it though!

The prices are on the high side, and the clientele can be a little pushy (in that delightfully entitled Bay Area kind of way) but this is a real deal grocery store. The kind that doesnt skimp on the samples. The hot food section is also strong (but watch yourself: those deep fried zucchini sticks and jalapeño poppers add up quickly). The icing on the cake, though? Its the only place around (that Im aware of) that sells Moxie. Game, set, and match, Piedmont Grocery.

Shopping at Oakland’s Piedmont Grocery is always fun, but very challenging in a wheelchair. The quality of food is superb and the selection is amazing for such a small store.

This grocery store is expensive,but it stocks items that few other grocery stores have. I buy beeswax candles when they go on sale. Today I bought 5 6inch packets for 2.99 each. Athough I love the store for its variety,I have to be mindful of what I buy there because of the cost. There is cheese sampling and other sampling during store hours,so I try to go there during the time samples are available. There are times I have bought cheese of the kind l have tasted. I believe the store is open until 8pm on week days. I am not certain of the weekend hours.

The inside of the store is not large. They are unable to carry a variety of products. Products they have are significantly more expensive than other stores. They have a nice hot foods sections for lunch and dinner.
