I love the selection and availability of this store, its my go-to grocery store. One thing I wish would improve is the line management. The line management during covid really helped me to navigate in and out of the store quickly. Now that its reverted back, it takes forever to check out! Bring it back.

I ordered one of their pizza’s for delivery. It was terrible, hard as stone. It looked like it had been sitting under the lamps all day, burned, and then they threw cheese on it to cover the burned cheese—burning that new cheese too and throwing Parmesan on it! Ew! I will not be ordering another pizza from this place.The kids were extremely disappointed. Ruined a party… shame on WholeFoods for pushing such junk.

Whole Foods is not my usual shopping place, however, I was out and about, and I needed to return an item to Amazon. That is why I initially chose to go to this particular Whole Foods--it is a return and pickup center for Amazon. First you need to do the online return stuff with Amazon (which was easy). When I went to Whole Foods to return my merchandise--that was easy, too.So, while I was there I wandered around and bought a few items. Most of their prices seemed high to me, but so it is. That is why I dont frequently shop there.I liked that they have a parking lot, and that they are still cleaning shopping carts. Also, their meat market seemed pretty spectacular to me.When I checked out, my checkout person was very tolerant of my ignorance of how to quickly buy things at Whole Foods.Nice place but $$$

This place is lame and fake. Lies about CA requiring masks to shop. The rest of the state isnt sweating masks. Wokeland just sucks.

I come here for shampoo and soap because it feels of a higher quality and doesnt irritate my skin like dove soap for example. Personally I have never tried the food here other than a donut but they do have a good variety of food like they even have sushi and ramen here as well as other soups and ready to eat foods. So Id say its a pretty dope store overall

Came here before they were closing one night to buy some rice for my dinner and got followed around the store until I left my basket and walked out. I recommend shopping anywhere but here

Huge selection of world foods, prices 🤣 are horrible but yet the quality is greatish.Meat market, super expensive and the quality is a 6 out of 10 at most.

I like WF. This was my third visit since quarantine started. Now its back to being fun to shop there. Checkers were fast, efficient and friendly. Its too expensive to shop only here, but they do have the best produce and beef around. (Except, maybe, Piedmont Grocery.) Good place to get something special.

The heart of the neighborhood. Well maintained and an awesome staff. One negative to note is that cell reception inside is poor, so don’t forget to join their Wi-Fi!

Natural Vegitables are my favorite food items on my daily menus and I found them all here at the Whole Foods...the Vegitables look fresh and clean. I hope it is grown as per the standards.The market space is quite big enough to keep the distance.Eat healthy and stay safe.

Amazonas. Foods still a wonder. Bakery: divine. Snazzy parking. Fun History on the Staire. Buy Flowers, the Euros will be proud.

Pure chaos. Nowhere near enough parking to accommodate patrons, zero flow inside the store, leading to the equivalent of drunk pigeons all chasing after bread crumbs scattering in the wind. I hate this place.

Good layout inside the store. Ample parking on the roof (along Vernon St) and staff is friendly and masked!

Above my price level for regular grocery shopping. Clean, fresh items. Counter overs/pre-made item had 5 to 10 minute wait. Staff friendly and helpful.

This place is a really frustrating mixed bag: service is either really great or absolutely dreadful. There is little to no middle ground. On the one hand, there are great employees who work the floor and are very informative, but on the other hand, there are routinely cashiers who view their job as a social call where they can catch up on what seems like a years worth of gossip with other employees and customers. Meanwhile, the lines get ridiculously long as they obliviously chatter on and your schedule is held hostage.

Employees are great, so is the food. For the corporate overlords I gotta deduct one star though.

Came to return some items from Amazon and do some grocery shopping. Came in at 2:20 pm on Sunday. They had a post it note on the Amazon booth saying they’d be open at 4:30 pm. Whole Foods employee said someone probably called out sick. I don’t understand how you wouldn’t have someone else cover the Amazon section, just like you would do for any other department within the store. So inconvenient. Went and did my return, and my grocery shopping, elsewhere.

This is an impeccable shopping 🛒 destination, they have a huge parking space for you with security all around the clock and they have elevators as well so even if you’re handicapped you can still have a very good access into the store.Enjoy your shopping 🛒 🛍!!!

Easy fix for your checkout line please! You got it right in early pandemic: one line for express, the other for more items, then fair distribution at the end of line. Don’t return to this Wild West, with one express line cover by 1 cashier and the other express line by 4. When you realized, you were too deep in the line. Let’s keep one good lesson learned in the pandemic.

This whole food is so clean. Lots of parking available. We went here twice. So far it was a pleasant experience!

This whole foods has the freshest mural! I was able to get a decent Ionian mean here with veggie curry, dal, rice and samosas. Yay! Pricy for sure.

This place is huge, and has many fancy offerings. I dont shop here often, and really only come for the Amazon hub counter to pick up an occasional package.

I love shopping hear but only ocassionaly. They have the finest cheese and ingredients.Its a nice store to treat yourself they have quality products you can trust. Pricey though!

Busy, parking is limited, and challenging to get in and out of. A lot of the produce hadnt been stocked. Smaller location, not as much variety or options for selection. Checkout was very busy and lines were long and a bit chaotic.

Awesome place to grocery shop or if your right now theres a ton of already cooked meals depending on what you want.

I stop at this Whole Foods every time I visit my friend in Oakland. I get breakfast here, coffee and my supplies for traveling such as protein shakes and protein bars. The dinner selection is off the hook! This Whole Foods has the best buffet Ive seen. The soups were fabulous. I had the seafood soup. It was great! The dessert area....looks tasty.

Great for a lunch meal for my break but too expensive for regular groceries.

The checkout line is always ridiculously long. I come here to buy all my fruits and veggies - always fresh and neatly stocked. I have a slight addiction to aged gouda cheese. The reps that work in the cheese section are always super friendly and helpful.

It’s like the Safeway at Church and Market if you’ve ever shopped in the city. It’s hostile, they’re doing too much, and even though the customers might be in a better place financially they’re just as bad in the parking lot.

Always a clean environment and parking upstairs is very convenient

Parking can be treacherous during rush hour, but overall good Whole Foods, with the expected high price tags. Ramen bowls are terrible- really lacking in flavor 👎

I understand that we are all taken precautions because of Covid but the day I visited this location the line was wrapped all the way to the pastries. Two lines!!! One for so called express but that wasnt the case and regular check out.Dont get me wrong I will still come here time to time but Ill make sure to have on my good standing shoes

Happy to see so much fresh produce at a corner store, so for that I tip my hat, but it would be great if you could cater to everyone in the community and offer some cheaper options, not just “rich person goes non-gmo” selection. ♡ Would also be nice if you stayed open until at least 9pm.

Always, always check your receipt before leaving. When I buy produce, the majority of the time I am overcharged! Big and small ticket priced items. Doesnt matter. If I buy a medium avocado, Im charged for a large, I buy a regular red onion, Im charged the organic price.Also, I find their pricing to be misleading often. Picked up a rotisserie chicken, big sale label said one price, register said 50% higher, so of course the small print says only the lemon herb seasoned chicken is on sale. Why!? Not one to be found among the 15 chickens there. Is plain, unseasoned chicken more expensive? They got me like that on a pie not long ago. Misleading!I wonder how many people buy then get home and realize they paid 30-50% more than planned for some items. This isnt a once in a while occurrence. I just cant help but wonder if this is by design. Add the chaotic lines and questionable customer service and Im nearly at my limit.

Love the new check out line! Half the reason I shopped at Trader Joes was due to the fair and magnanimous check out line. The beautiful woman in charge of the line was so cool and kind and I felt comfortable shopping for the first time in three months.Jeff Bezos! Pay attention! The place is amazing! Everyone is so polite. And they have every thing you can think of. From freshly made New York pizza sold by slice for a couple bucks, and specialities! Like Pesto and tomatoes with mozzarella and crumble cheese. To to sea food! They carry salmon. The place is like combining Safeway with trader Joes with a touch of farmers market.

Employees here especially customer service desk workers are real liars. Called about a item today at 5:30 pm, that says it sold at whole foods and in stock at this location. They told me after checking with meat department that they carry it. Cool so once i got there asked them again in person and the man who works customer service area same guy i spoke to on the phone who said yes, had the audacity to be like “yea the meat department just lied just to say yes”. then he goes on to say whatever is on the whole foods website doesn’t matter. How does it not matter if its ur own website ?!???! Wont be back here again drove all the way just for them to lie in my face

Best Whole foods in the Bay!! In comparison to other Whole Foods branches, Oakland has a great beer and wine department as well as an excellent salad bar. The parking area is sizable and it doesnt tend to get as crowded as Whole Foods Markets in San Francisco.

It was a nice experience shopping at that store. The store is very clean and well organized.

The produce buyer here should be ashamed... its late spring/early summer and theres no local fruit (only 1 thing besides the big berry companies was even from the US), and the veggies didnt look great either. Also, there are always huge gaps in the produce section. I shouldnt have to wait for the farmers market to be able to make a decent smoothie. They also bought the crappiest avocados, I was a produce buyer for a distributor (whole foods now buys many of the same things I had to buy for the distributor that dont taste good but hold up a long time, Ive also worked for local farms at farmers markets, so I know produce), and everyone who buys pallets of avocados should know to stay away from them, they also had a huge pile of way overripe avocados for sale.They used to have some local stuff (even after their management switched to not being able to order directly from farms, everything comes from a wf distribution warehouse in Richmond, there is local produce there that other wf stores order), now theyre just cheaping out while charging prices meant for quality. Just order the good stuff and youll have more sales. If I wanted safeway produce Id go there...My yogurt cost more here than at other wf too.

Excellent market but try to shop during non peak hours. Packing lots can get full.

Good store little busy during midday but that is to be expected, employees are really kind only thing that kind of irked me was the ability to reach a family member working as an Amazon shopper. Costumer service cant ( or maybe isnt allowed) to find an employee even by calling on the loud speaker to have them visit costumer service desk. Granted what I was calling about wasnt an emergency, but if it was that type of situation how am I able to contact my family who is working under their roof? ...it just doesnt make sense.... please fix this

In the morning, Im among the first ones in. Quick and easy and no crowds -in and out in 20 mins. Good parking, good service and excellent products, though a bit pricey. Convenient place for picnicking supplies to be enjoyed at close by Lake Merritt.

Huge store where you can find almost everything you need. Sometimes the wait can be a little long in checking out but the staff is kind and knowledgeable.

Great community grocery store!

Nicole the manager was very unhelpful she casually walked around and had more time to chat then to find the order I had reserved no more than thirty minutes earlier. She acted like she worked there not there to serve customers. Don’t come here unless you want lackluster service very disappointed never met a more unhelpful “‘manager” total waste of time happily heading to sprouts.

A great selection of healthy natural products, and the prices keep getting better. Plus a kind and down to earth staff. Oaktown has the best Whole Foods!
