I had to have lateral sewer system replaced as it was shot. Everyone from office staff, workers on site, and owner was very professional, efficient, neat and friendly. While that was happening the supervisor on the job noticed a constant flow of water from the house and notified me, and Harry Clark got a plumber out right away and got that fixed too! Thank you to everyone at Harry Clark!

So far this year, Harry Clark installed a new HVAC system for us as our old one was really old. They were great - on time, clean and efficient. Improved the arrangement to even the air distribution to make it work better for our house. They also came immediately when our water heater died just now to replace it. Another great job! We have used them for many years and have always been pleased with the people, the service and the reliable installations.

This review is long overdue-- for a number of years I have used Harry Clark for any plumbing or heating problem in my home or four plex. They communicate clearly, arrive when promised, work with my or tenants schedules, fix the problem and give information about cause and prevention. Their pricing is fair and reasonable. The phones are always answered during business hours. After using different plumbers from time to time, its come down to this one company I can depend on. If you are looking for one company to handle plumbing and heating issues, I recommend Harry Clark.

Harry Clark was very professional and on time. The moment the technician, Ronnie, arrived I knew my heater problem was going to get taken care of. He explained everything he was doing as he did it. He worked very efficiently too and got done quickly! Its always a concern that people might work slow on purpose to get paid more, but he came in and did everything so fast! I would highly recommend this company! Even the call center was a pleasure. They were very friendly and reassuring that they could handle the job. It put my mind at ease that I would have heat very soon, especially since I have two small children! I will definitely be calling them again if I ever need help again.

We had an excellent experience with Harry Clark installing a new forced air heating system in our 1907 house. This required much planning. The people from Harry Clark were well organized, professional and did a careful job of installing the system. In addition, they willingly communicated with us about the schedule and what work had to be done on a day to day basis.

I used Harry Clark for two jobs. One involved installing a new tankless water heater that involved running a new gas line, venting and some re-piping. The other project involved moving some exterior plumbing vents so that they wouldnt be too close to a newly installed operable skylight. In both projects, Harry Clarks crews did meticulous work and were extremely professional, competent and easy to work with. Both projects involved office staff to come out for consultation and estimates and the staff listened to what I was trying to accomplished and helped out by making appropriate suggestions for the scale of the work. When talking to other companies, I got the impression that I had to conform to their agenda rather than them trying work within the realities of what was going on with my project(s). In the future, I am planning on doing complete kitchen and bath remodels and Harry Clark will be my preferred plumbing sub on those projects. I should add that I am a former general contractor (now homeowner/remodeler) so I have a bit of experience in all of this. Based on my experience with Harry Clark I recently recommended them to a friend for a new furnace and re-ducting project, and they were chosen to do the work. If I had known about Harry Clark earlier, I would have had them do my heating system as well. So, to sum up, I highly recommend Harry Clark.

Isaac, who came to my house Twice to figure out why I was having this humming sound. The first time was late afternoon close to closing time, so I rescheduled for another visit for today, Friday.Isaac is a five star employee, he was very determine to fine out the source of the humming sound I was having when my faucets where turn on. It vibrated thought out my house. He tried everything.It was very puzzling, but he kept at it.The last resource was to check the regulator that EMUD had installed about 2 months ago. That was what was causing the humming noise. Since that belong to EMUD, I called them and they will be out to fix it on Monday. EMUD said it was a defective regulator put in.Isaac did everything he could, and I have never had a more determine, hard worker, courteous,caring person come to my house to do the work. I wish I could give them zero stars.I had very much hoped to have a positive experience with Harry Clark, as my realtor recommended them when I bought a house and needed to have the sewer lateral replaced. Unfortunately, the initial experience having the lateral replaced was negative, and then months later it all turned terrible.I do not recommend Harry Clark at all. It seems like they were good way back when, but they are not good any longer.I got a bid from HC to replace the sewer lateral using the pipe bursting method which is the easiest, fastest and least expensive method. I thought, though I will admit that I may have heard incorrectly, that they said the job would take 2 days total. The HC crew came out and started work, dug up some dirt and cut a hole in the sidewalk. They piled the dirt up against the side of the house which is less than ideal. Then they disappeared. A few days passed and there appeared to be little to no progress and there was never any report to me by anyone on the crew or by a supervisor or the office as to any progress, next steps, or delays on the project - basically it was a mystery.I emailed the office after a few days to inquire as to what was going on and was told that a supervisor would contact me which never happened. The next day the crew was out again and I believe they mostly completed the job. However, they also damaged my gate. I emailed the office with a picture and to their credit someone came out the next day and replaced and painted the damaged gate board. At this point the job was still not completed and there was a big metal plate in the street covering up the hole they dug there and some orange cones left around here and there. This was the situation for about another week. My neighbors were annoyed as was I, and we all were wondering when the heck HC would come out and patch the street, pick up their cones, and complete the job.I contacted the office again and was told that it would be completed in the next few days which it was. Overall, it took way longer than I was told, there was no communication, and my fence was damaged. My new neighbors who had similar work done by another plumber had theirs completed in 2 days. Overall, not great or particularly professional, but I thought everything was completed and good.Fast forward about 12 months and things get bad: My elderly neighbor had a suspected sewer leak between our two houses. I arranged for a different plumbing company to come out and do a FREE inspection (HC does not do this!) and they discovered that my neighbors sewer and mine were joined together! When the houses where built in 1926 this was allowed, but it is NOT allowed any longer. Harry Clark had illegally, and against building code re-connected the two sewer lines together and somehow managed to get the city and EBMUD to sign off on the work. The city says they would never sign off on this, so clearly HC hid the illegal connection. This is a big no-no. So, to keep it short, many many months of emails and calls back and forth with the city of Oakland and HC and other plumbers for professional opinions and there is still no resolution. I offered to Brad Marshall, one of the owners of HC, that they could either refund my money for the illegal, not to code, unprofessional work they performed while trespassing on my neighbors property, or they could come out and re-do the work properly. At this point they have gone silent and are not responding.Based on my experiences with HC it is my my opinion that Brad Marshall and Harry Clark are dishonest, unprofessional, unreliable and do not stand behind their work, and I would never use Harry Clark again and recommend that you do not either.
