A few weeks ago I had to go to this location since I needed a last minute tank and my usual branch was out. I walk into the branch, say hello and I am completely ignored. The man sitting behind the counter would not even acknowledge me. Once he finally did he asked that I put my mask on(which I NEVER have an issue doing, so I did) but then he proceeds to wear his on his chin and tells me that I needed to go back outside to swap tanks. Okay fine, I know how swapping out a tank works but I went inside to ask for assistance since I had my toddler with me and he refused to acknowledge the fact that I needed help. Once I was outside, clearly frustrated, another employee from the warehouse was able to assist me. I wish I remembered his name but that employee was definitely more helpful. Still not enough to improve my review though. First impressions are important. The older man behind the counter was enough to make me not go back again. Ill stick to my main branch from now on since Ive never had an issue at the Paterson branch. Im always greeted with a smile there and they make sure I leave satisfied with everything I need.

I have been a customer of Wayne Vogel at Airgas for many years. During this time I cant count how many times he has helped me in finding what I needed to do the jobs I needed to do. I have never even thought about going anywhere else for my welding needs. It has been a pleasure working with Wayne all these years and I look forward to working with him for many years to come. I would highly recommend both Wayne and Airgas.

I was looking to purchase bottles. I decided to try Airgas after checking out AGL. I called on a Friday and explained what I was looking for (to purchase bottles argon and such...) I drove to location I called (Paterson) and found the parking lot was filled. (Only 2 vehicles) but not parked properly. slid to the side to park somewhat. And the garage door opened. someone purchasing a few propane tanks and a handcart comes out. I was told I cant enter and it was locked and to wait until he was done with these customers. Then was rudely asked what I wanted. I said I wanted to purchase some tanks (argon and such) explained i had called friday before and asked about bottles and he said I could get a better deal on 80lb bottles rather than 60. A nasty reply of who is he ? I said whats with the attitude? Shook my head and I walked away. Then I Drove another 25 mins to Oakland and found a nice man who helped me kindly within 10 mins of my arrival. Step it up in Paterson! If you want business then at least treat people right!

Helpful staff. They didnt have enough inventory if the specific item I needed, so they shipped it to my facility.

Never wrote a review before but i felt i had to after being there 2 times and both of then were terrible. The first time i went to get a bottle of argon. Waited 20 mins for any help and the old crouch was sitting right there. Made the purchase, left and found out this no it all gave me a blend gas, not the gas i paid for. I decided to keep it for my mig welder so im ok with it. Went back on 7 24 19 to try to get the right bottle of argon . Same fool, waited 15 mins and then this piece of garbage told me they were closed and walked away. Nasty service nasty employee. I live 3 mins from this place but will go to awisco instead where your treated like a human being not like a piece of trash . You guys suckShame on you.

I would give less than 1 star if i could. Guy behind the counter is the most miserable individual I have ever dealt with in retail. He is not the least bit interested in helping anyone. On top of it the place is 2-3 times the cost of anywhere else.Unless you need a truckload delivered dont even go near this place.
