Went to print my resume and cover letter. Self service copier wasn’t working. I went to the print center and asked a rep if they could print the resume for me. She said she would have to create an order, it would cost more and that I should wait for the machine to be back up. She said she didn’t have time to print something for me. Seemed like the rep just didn’t want to be bothered to help me or any of the other two customers who were waiting for the copiers to “reset.” I went to Office Depot instead and was able to print without an attitude from the rep and without any problems.
Power surge took out their system and it took 20+ minutes for registers to come back online. No announcement was made of what was happening as we all stood around waiting. (Some customers did walk out.) Finally, when a register came online, staff took person who just walked up instead of the customers waiting for the extended period of time. This is when I just shook my head and walked out. Customer service could definitely improve.
I needed to print some documents off of my phone- PDF. The tech at the Print center was so helpful and patient. Its not always easy dealing with non-technical people, and older as well so thanks. I appreciate the help.
Too interested in selling the warranty more than just the product. I understand customers must be offer the warranty to make more money, but it doesn’t make since to spend more money on the warranty than the product itself. Especially if the product is not that expensive anyway. When the warranty is declined the helpfulness suddenly disappears. Very annoying, and it’s ok if a customer doesn’t want a warranty, stop pushing, leave it alone and sell me what I come for.
From the experience lived in this store, I want to inform that they offer post-sale benefits that later do not comply with them. In August I bought, with an offer to receive a 50% discount, a printer, ink and other items, each month I claimed that I had not received the REWARD offered and the management told me not to worry, that I already had a coupon number . After two months I did not receive anything, I made a claim and they only offered me a 5 dollar discount. By person, I claimed again and they offered me compensation with a gift card and to this date, November 10, I have not received anything. The after sales service is terrible, I ask to speak with the manager and they are upset for doing it.
Was poorly attended at office depot and crossed the road to you guys. Let me tell you something I should of came here first. The staff was super friendly and an older employee approached me and asked if I needed assistance. I showed him what I was looking for and he took me directly to the multiple aisles were the products were. Customer service; thats the diffrence between gaining a customer or losing a customer. Deff gained me as a customer. Which FYI it was the first time I ever stepped into a Staples store.Side note : theres arrows on the floor indicating what direction to walk in the aisle so you can avoid bumping into a customer. Employees are all wearing a mask and if you dont have a mask they can provide you with a new mask. Which is a plus for everyone.

BAIT AND SWITCHCame in looking for a laptop. Sales rep spent 20 minutes selling a warrantee bundle. Then told me the item I wanted was out of stock, was discontinued and pointed me to a less capable machine for 150% of what I had planned to spend.I left. With all my money.
I stopped by to buy a printer the other day because mine died and with homeschooling I needed a printer ASAP. I was not planning on replacing my printer so I didn’t have a ton of money in the budget for it. I explained this to the worker who helped me and he didn’t give much info when I was trying to compare two printer in the same price range. I picked one and he walked me to the ink isle after I had already explained I don’t have money for ink that day(which costs the same amount as the printer itself) I told him I saw the printer includes ink and he said “it’s only enough ink to print 5, maybe 10 pages tops”. I said well that will have to do until payday. He goes on to push me to buy ink again. Saying it would save me a trip into town blah blah blah. I explained I really cannot afford it today. He grumbles and walks to the register with my printer. I go to pay and he mentions me buying ink AGAIN. I again said no thanks. Paid for my printer. I set it up today and have printed 40+ pages today for my kids schooling. All in color and black and white. I checked the ink levels and they are still great. This irritates me as he LIED TO ME and insisted I would only have enough ink for 5-10 pages to try and get me to buy more ink before I even needed it. I’m giving 3 stars because they had the printer I needed(no other stores in Ocala did) and the first employee that stopped to help was very polite. 1- don’t push things on people if they can’t afford it. It’s embarrassing and rude. 2- don’t LIE about products to try and sell something else.

This just happend. We went in to purchase gift cards for employees(holiday bonus).First issue: 6 people standing in line while the manager just watched instead of opening/using another register.Second issue: As we were checking out the cashier an older gentleman scanned them all and then placed them under the register counter??? I can understand placing them to side while check out occurs and double check for fraud blah blah. But Visa gift cards are effectively cash and should never be removed from the customers sight after scanned.This single act made me question if we got the original visas scanned back or not, chances are low but now the thought was there.We had to double check the codes on the cards matched the ones on the receipt but were practically shood out of the store first.We are going to CVS next time.
Shortly after I arrived someone came over to me to see if I needed assistance. She was very helpful and did get busy to help me find what I was looking for.
We recently bought a new computer from this Staples store.The tech staff...Mike, Joseph and Wes were informative, helpful, knowledgeable and helped me understand the new computer and Windows 10 (new to me)Extra thanx to Joseph who took the time to put short-cuts to pertinent sites for me on my desk-top. I can easily go right to the sites I use the most.Great staff...kudos to you three...your work and efforts are appreciated
My husband and I first went to Best Buy to see if our 2009 Magellan GPS could be fixed by the Geek squad.. We were told that it would be cheaper just to buy a new one and get all the updates free...Knowing that we use ours very little and that it was only six years old, we continued to look,, and ended up at Staples on Silver Springs, Blvd in Ocala...We were greeted by a young man,, Anthony, who was so very helpful,, explained to us how to do an update, and gave us Magellan phone number to call if we had a problem,, we also bought a Micro card with an adapter that was on sale, in case we had a problem updating off the computer..(luckily our daughter came home and helped with that),, I took it to Orlando,,(I hate Orlando to drive in),and it worked beautifully...I am writing to just let you know how great Anthony was...An Angel...I know who to come to when I have a problem from now on...Staples and Anthony...

Just coming out of staple I asked for help and no one came to help and there were more people waiting in the same area with me, I when to look if I can find anyone guess yes there were people standing doing nothing, I walked out I was ready o buy too bad 🙁

Went to this place for a laptop and the employee was trying to force me to buy it. I asked if the laptop was in stock n after a couple of minutes the guy called at the register to ring me up. His supervisor and him were mad that I didnt buy it. I told them theyre doing a bad business and I would never go there anymore.
Brittany has waited on me twice now, she always has a great smile and attitude.
The staff at this location is super helpful and friendly. I was also able to do a few test prints to get the right size for a big project I needed printed.
I get a lot of different things from Staples and I would highly recommend.

Fax machine never works .. spend over an hour here for it say, failed. Staff say they dont know why .staff needed up faxing from their machine behind the counter n it went thru after one try in less than 60seconds.. so I spent an hour why ? Why wasnt this offered sooner .SMH... Go to office depot not to mention since had my daughter with me this last time and after an hour shes clearly over it, she picked up candy near the fax checkout..n the guy said he cant ring it up there .. so I ended up paying at this register for the fax, and having to wait in another line near the door to pay for the candy. ..never again . Office depot.
