I rented a unit for a few months in between moves. The manager Brian Cash was always super helpful and responsive the whole time I was renting the unit. I would definitely recommend and plan to use them for my next storage in the future!

I’m brand new to Maryland and was introduced to Odenton Self Storage by my uncle. We had looked around for a few places, and landed with Odenton. Brain was the manager that worked with us, he was extremely kind and friendly, and he seemed to love what he does. They weren’t have any specials going on to my knowledge, but Brian unexpectedly gave me my first month free! I only had to pay the insurance and initial fee which was about $36 total. I walked in expecting to pay about $210 and walked out only paying $36! I highly recommend Odenton Self Storage. I have not met the other staff and I’m sure sure they are all amazing, but if Brian is available and on shift, he’s great to work with!

Great storage facility to go with. Prices are not expensive and the facility is clean and well kept. They have moving pallets to unload and load your things, free of charge. Brian is very helpful and was always willing to go the extra mile to help with anything we needed.

Nikki is fun, great personality. Facility is nice could use a paint job but it is neat and clean. Im not sure if the air conditioner was working because it was very hot everywhere except the office. Elevators are slow.

I have had some camping gear stored with Odenton for many years now. Sometimes I rent a cabin at Fort Meade, and I use the items I have in storage when I am setting the cabin up. Rented a unit for almost 3 years with only a couple rate increases. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Move out process was a breeze. They only require a 10 day notice.

The prices and customer service are the best in town. I checked with competing companies (U-Haul, storage zone, etc) and no one else compares. The prices are consistent and you don’t have to worry about being lured in by awesome deals and then trapped into paying ridiculous rates the months following.The general manager, Brian, is so friendly and really makes you feel like you’re part of a family. My boyfriend and I were moving our stuff into storage on a rather hot day and Brian came out with free ice cold waters and made sure we were doing okay. Such an awesome guy! I highly recommend this storage facility especially to fellow military personnel.

I’ve rented a storage space here for 5+ years and didn’t have any issues with the old owners. They provided excellent customer service and their communication was great.I’m not sure exactly what happened 2 years ago when the company came under new ownership, but an employee told me the old owners were “run off the property” under some shady circumstances.The new owners weren’t terrible at first; they just weren’t very good with communication. About a year ago, I was headed out for a deployment and assigned a power of attorney to be in charge of my storage and household goods, vehicle, etc. I turned in the PoA paperwork to the office at Odenton Self Storage. l ensured they had the correct contact information for me as well.Then a few months ago, I received multiple emails in one day about non-payment for my storage. I emailed the office and didn’t receive a response. So I called and called until I reached someone. I verified my card number was correct; they processed the payment successfully and that was that.The next month, they sent another non-payment email. I replied with an email stating that my card number had not changed since last month, and neither had my contact information. I asked them to run it again and contact me after. No response. Called, then sent another email. They then sent another email stating the card declined. I called my bank, who told me Odenton Self Storage had not even attempted a transaction. I emailed Odenton to inform them of this, and asked them what was going on. Several unanswered emails and 1 phone call later, they finally processed my card.The next month, the same thing happened, except this time, again after multiple unanswered emails and a phone calls, they blamed it on a vendor issue. They instructed me to hold tight for a few days while they fixed the issue. Then, after a few days, they sent me another email stating they had not received my payment. Aggravated, I emailed and then called them. They read off my card number on file, and lo and behold, it wasn’t mine. For the third time, I gave them my card number. They said everything was up to date, and the card processed. I asked for a confirmation email. They sent one, with a charge that was more than I had authorized. They also stated they were waiving the late fee “as a one-time courtesy.” I replied that it was not my fault that it was late (I’m set up for automatic payments); that their company had repeatedly failed to update my information, and their vendor had not run the card properly. No response.Several days ago, I received an email stating they had no proof of insurance for my storage unit and they would be charging me extra for their insurance, monthly. I had sent them proof of insurance when I set up my storage account, and had re-sent it several years ago when they switched owners, meaning the current owners/management have lost yet another piece of paperwork. I re-sent my proof of insurance, and have yet to receive a confirmation email or response.The 1st of the month is coming up in a couple days and I’m 100% positive the same aggravation will happen again. Due to the fact that I am highly concerned about my household goods being auctioned off due to this company’s incompetent record keeping, I am moving my household goods in a couple months and closing my account/unit. Save yourself the headache and don’t do business here.**Update/reply to owner: I have tried to contact you to discuss this numerous times. I’ve sent you several emails in the past two weeks, none of which you have bothered to respond to. I’m willing to bet that there will be a yet another issue with my payment and the payment of other tenants on January 1st.
