Great customer service helpful friendly staff a def must go if your in the area!!

My advice would be to only get loans on tools or rodeo related items and definitely stick to things that are especially durable and avoid anything with a nice finish. They do not store valuable items in a sufficient manner which caused damage to several of my items, items that they know are valuable otherwise they wouldnt have given such a large loan on them and then when I bring it up they look at me like you just asked them to recite their times tables(thats difficult for a hillbilly) Youd be alot better off going to Heartland Pawn around the corner. Youll get better value for your loan items and the guys there grew up with indoor plumbing and understand book words

This place is our very own midwest version of Pawn Stars. Sure their prices might be a little bit higher than others but honestly folks you get what you pay for. If you want junk dont go here. Good quality goods of a wide variety. Ive purchased everything from tools to sound bars and never once had a bad experience with the service or products. Checkm out folks you wont regret it.

Just purchased 2 firearms from them. Ya know, we thought they were great guys...but DO YOUR RESEARCH before buying. I picked up a great Glock X19. I was told it was super hard to find. Went to a small shop in Paola and found it for $325 cheaper. Then the G2C I bought was $160 cheaper. Needless to say I wont be shopping w them anymore. I dont appreciate anyone who takes a financial advantage in the current situation when all we are trying to do is protect ourselves in uncertain times. So yeah they got me for almost $500.00. Never again......

I stop in probably twice a month looking for that item that just needs to go home with me - LOL! Every time I enter the Store, Im greeted with such a friendly Hello! from the wonderful Ms Woody or another Team Member! As I tour, I cant go far before Im approached with a question if I need help? I can always count on having someone nearby should I need assistance.Ive gone home with small items like a Harry Potter Blu-Ray in new condition to almost a thousand dollars of audio equipment that we negotiated a great deal on. Every time I always believe we both came away with value in the transaction.There is such a variety of items to choose from...I have to control myself whenever I go in to browse! I also enjoy the Special Events with Live Music, free grub, and of course, SALE PRICES!Im looking forward to doin some tradin in the future for some goodies...well see how that turns out?Its definitely worth a stop if youre out pawn shoppin!No matter where you go - I believe if you treat em right, theyll treat you right!Happy Shopping and Happy Saving!

Discovered this place just a few years ago, and have to say these folks have made it one of the best pawn shops around, if not THE best. Friendly and knowledgeable staff, good prices, frequent and excellent sale events, and a wide variety of stuff. Ive done a good amount of business with them now, and they dont treat me like a valued customer. They treat me like family!I dont just give them my business, I send them friends, coworkers, and anyone else I know that is looking for a good deal on whatever they are looking for. Theres been several occasions when the folks working the gun and knife area have asked me about stuff they arent too familiar with, as Im a long time collector of such, and they tend to listen to what I say. Ive had to point out a few times they got something worth less than they thought, but usually I wind up telling them the opposite - they got something priced WAY under what its worth.Overall, they treat customers right and never have that If you arent buying something, dont come here vibe. I average one visit every two weeks, usually one a week, and freely admit I only buy something maybe one time out of ten, but they STILL seem happy to see me and chat away.

Its been stated before, but Kevin and Woody are awesome. These people are very keen on helping anyone who has any questions, and they make purchasing, trading, pawning items extremely quick and nice. If youre selling something, they do not lowball you, and they work with you to ensure you get a fair price to where both parties benefit. If you arent necessarily keen on a certain price, they will try their best to work with you to whatever may work with your budget. They also have layaway which is very awesome, considering not all shops have this. Ive been to almost every shop in the Johnson County metro, and this is by far the best.

They have a huge selection of very nice, and very affordable jewelry. Shop here before going to a jewelry store. You just might find that awesome piece at a fantastic price! They also have a nice selection of electronics, tools, musical instruments, and just about anything else under the sun. The staff is very friendly and will always greet you with a smile. The Old West decor gives the place a cozy feel. If you can make it to their special sale days, you may be able to score some really deep discounts.

I stopped in expecting the classic pawn shop vibe, but this business was open and cheery. Everyone I encountered smiled and treated me like they wanted nothing more than for me to enjoy doing business with them. Refreshing! And the customer service was speedy and well-oiled. I will be back several times, knowing there is always something interesting to discover and that the experience will be honest and pleasant.

I have been going to the Olathe Trading Post with my daughter for a couple years now. It has the largest and best maintained show floor around. We have always been treated like family from the first time we walked through the doors, as well as today. We have come to expect a level of friendliness and professionalism that you just cant find with other pawn brokers. I have and continue to recommend the Olathe Trading Post to everyone. Every employee is very knowledgeable about a wide variety of merchandise. If one doesnt know then 99% chance there is someone there that does! Very reasonable prices on all products and they will strive to help you out monetarily when getting a loan against your items to pawn. AAA rated as far as Im concerned!

Great items to buy, and they take exceptional care of items pawned. Although you can pawn and buy used merchandise, this isnt your run of the mill pawn store. The staff is and extremely professional and the establishment is kid friendly.

This place has a very unique and efficient setup. They also have someone manning a desk at the entrance which makes it easy to bring items in. I like how all the staff have the same western look, and have built their brand around it. Ive pawned a few items and the process is fairly streamlined. My only constructive feedback is that some of the staff could work on their demeanor. They dont go out of their way to be nice, but overall the experience here was pleasant.

Hi. My name is Zach. Today I went in and bought a Vizio TV on layaway. Woody and Mark were very very helpful at the checkout as well as the two gentlemen at the pawn counter that took many of my items to try and get the amount needed to get the TV.I ended up a dollar and 57 cents short of the layaway and they were willing to work with me to be able to get the TV in my car and home today where it’s setting up perfectly in my room.This pawn shop is the best in the Kansas City area. I have been coming to the trading post for over a decade now. I have watched them go from a little tiny store to the best in KC. I dont live in Olathe anymore Im in KC Mo .....but I still make the drive over to them as I have never found a pawn shop that made me feel like I mattered as they have the best customer service ! They are very old school in the way they treat their customers like friends or family and not just a dollar!!! If anything the only one to ever be short or 100% nice its been myself 🙄 not them!! Must day they give the fairest price on loans ..... they dont scam they give you what its really worth in the pawn market. They also sell their merchandise for a price that makes you want to come back . With the large store, selection, and awesome prices every visit is a treasure hunt to meNeedless to say they are A #1 in my Book !!Thanks guys!

Easily the best pawn shop in the area. Ive been too close to a dozen and this one is by far my favorite. The staff is very knowledgeable, helpful and plain nice people. The deals cant be beat and theres a ton of great stuff in there. If I could give them an extra star I would. 6 stars all the way and 2 thumbs up. 👍👍

Great place. Every time I go in there it always smells like popcorn. Which I love. I mean who don’t like popcorn. The employees are always nice and very helpful. I’m short sometimes on cash so I pawn my PS4, and I love my PS4. I go in Olathe trading post and I know my property will be handled with care. Sometimes I feel like they clean in for me while it’s there. It’s like a spa day for my things. There fees are very fair. 10 fee for 100 that’s for 30 days. Awesome. THANK YOU OLATHE TRADING POST. You always come threw in the clutch.

I go to the Trading Post mostly for Silver. I bought some Cymbals from them at a good price and an electric guitar with amp for my son as well. I never felt like I got ripped off.Note:I shop for guns around Olathe all the time and their prices are comparable to other Pawn Shops and Gun Shops.I like this shop because the staff has always been courteous to me. I also like the new larger location better than the old one.

Hey these guys are great. I go in there all the time to buy and sell things. They give you fair prices and as long as youre reasonable theyll work with you on the prices. Ive never had any problems out of them or anything theyve sold me. One of the guy says We believe the entire pawn industry needs to do a better job of treating people with respect and helping people get good deals. and they really do believe that and strive to achieve that goal. If you have anything you need to buy or sell go to these guys... THEY ARE EXCELLENT!!!

My husband is a guitar player always in search of more guitars, better amps, etc., and is very particular about them. When he came home with a new child the other day, I was happy, but also wondered where the heck he was going to put it!! :)When he decided to take it back, it was so easy!! Stopped by yesterday to see about getting a Kindle so I wasnt running down the battery on my phone so much anymore. Store had a great variety of them and they were all in working condition. Found the one I wanted and the staff was so helpful figure out which model it was. Got a nice generation 4 for only 14 bucks. Took it home and after snycing it to the computer and a software upgrade, it register to my amazon account and I have my books.They also have alot more awesome products and a wide variety of stuff. Staff is also so nice, helpful, and they actually help you instead of trying to rush you out the door. I will definitely be back.

I love this store. The staff here remembers you, they do not judge or treat you poorly for selling goods. They respect that without the public selling to them they wouldnt be in business. I have actually called them from another pawn shop to describe my experience at that unnamed other location, we had a laugh over the phone and they told me to come in. I wont go to another shop... Ive been a literal lifetime customer. Always were my go to place for 20 years. Ever since they moved to this new location their customer service has suffered. Now, whenever I enter the building I started noticing that their staff will turn their backs to me. Theyll pretend they dont see you or act like theyre too busy to help you. It was something I always forgave. Then, I recently went in to pay interest on some items. I got in line. Then, one of their employees got hostile & snapped at me saying, youre supposed to be going to the counter at the entrance to make your payments. Thats the 1st anyone has ever told me. & how is it my responsibility to know this? Anyways, Im outta here. Done with this place.

Everyone at the trading post is great they will all take there time with ya on what your looking at. I bought an item recently and had an issue with it and the owner of the pawn shop along with another gentleman fixed the issue for me and I havent had a problem since with it. And they have a really nice gun selection and the prices are fair on most.

Olathe TradingPost and Pawn is the best Pawn Shop out there . All the staff are friendly and care about there customers. They really work with you on finding great prices on items you may want to buy or sell and really work with you on making sure you dont loose your pawns if you need little more time on making payments where Ive seen other Pawn Shops want to swoop down on you while your already struggling and keep your belongings . This was the first time my husband & I went into the trading post and I have to say Ive never had as good of an experience as this one to a pawn shop! The aroma of popcorn lured my husband straight thru the front entry way,. We were looking for a unique yet simple bday gift for our soon to be 25 y/o daughter, and Jack was the man who helped us. We found a BEAUTIFUL pendant. I would highly recommend this wonderful shop if you are in search of something beautiful & unique.

Ive been going to Olathe Trading Post for over 15 years, and they are the first and only pawn shop I go to, I have always been able to get a fair price for the car stereo equipment I usually get loans on, so there has never been a need to go anywhere else, and they also have a good selection of used items at a good price. The people that work there are very pleasant to deal with, and the customer service is unmatched. Highly recommended for your pawn shop needs! Go in and see for yourself!!

This pain shop is one of the worst in the area for price consistency, both on items for sale and offers they give you for pawn and sale. Most everything they offer is sub par for quality and overpriced so much you can buy the item new for almost the same price. Dont waste your time going in to pawn or sale, its a guarantee the staff will do that for you once you get there. Have a blessed day!

Went in there not even a week ago and they had there 20% off the whole store sale but anyways I purchased my product (still had the sticker on it) I get home and look at the tag and there’s Two stickers, one is stuck on top of the other and the top one is $50 more than the original sticker well with there “20% off sale” it came back to the original sticker price.so just know you don’t actually get any deals from there just another way for them to trick you
