Good prices but inconvenient arrangement of items.

Ok this Shop Rite is old. Its not a supercenter and the parking lot was built for a different time when this was a premier store in town. It can be confusing finding items until your used to the layout of the store. But, it does have everything on sale you need and the service is fine. Will be replaced in the near future with a brand new Shop Rite on the south bound rt 9.

Convenient and competitively priced grocery. I appreciate that theyve added to their vegetarian and vegan food selection.

This is probably my least favorite food store in the area but the most convenient living on 516. It looks as old on the inside as it does on the outside. If you dont know the store layout it is pretty hard to find some things. THERE IS NO SELF CHECK OUT! The parking lot structure is a mess.

Really old and run down, when you walk in, it feels like you are stepping into 1980. in desperate need of renovations. found everything I was looking for, but they definitet dont offer as much variety like the newer shoprites. also there is no self checkout.

Ive shopped at this store for over 20 years. It needs updating badly. I come to this store for convenience only if Im in a rush otherwise Ill go to the Aberdeen super shoprite.

Definitely fits the name of the town. Old !!! This place is a throwback to the 70s. And Im a 80s baby. Staff and groceries even look old. 2nd star is for nostalgia.

I would give this place five stars, but its so disorganized, but more importantly it was my pharmacy for some years. Ive been on the same medication and they switched pharmaceutical companies, the pharmaceutical company they switched to, it seems as if theyre meds are placebo. They refuse to order from another manufacturer so I had to find another pharmacy. But other than that the staff is very helpful and if you cant find anything all you have to do is ask and it seems like every staff member knows where every item is.

This used to be my regular go to store for Morningstar products but lately their prices have skyrocketed on all of their items to almost twice the price. Now I have to settle for the second-best which are Boca products. Unfortunately their selection of Boca products is very limited and does not include the full flavor and varieties bread off their meatless patties. Not the fanciest branch though.

Not happy with Shop Rites return policy or should I say no return policy. I accidentally purchased 10 cans of Bumble Bee solid white tuna that was 5.1 oz instead of the 5 oz .which was on sale for 10 @ $8.40.I wound up paying $24.90 for 10 cans of the wrong size. Because of the pandemic NO RETURNS. What do they think Im going to do to sealed cans...cough on them or lick them??? Ive been shopping at this store for over 20 years and am very dissatisfied with this current no return situation.

Stopped in looking for a phone charger for the car on our travels to Asbury Park and back. The layout is very confusing but manageable. What is up with the MILK OF THE WEEK??

I normally love ShopRite but this was one of the oldest stores Ive ever been in with very poor selection... And some of the foods didnt look that appetizing...

More expensive than other Shop Rites and some inventory sparse at times. Meats are good. I like to order deli on kiosk-they show you the time to pick up but is usually shorter.

Been shopping here since the early 90s. The store itself may look a bit outdated, but they have everything most people need. Pharmacy dept. is excellent.

His customer service skills are A++ He explained in detail why a chicken item wasn’t available, and offered a better option.I wanna give a BIG thanks to front end manager Rajbir and the young cashier (I believe his name was Joe) for going above and beyond today when I accidentally lost my credit card under the register.They literally acted like they lost their personal card and were determined to find it for me. People like that are keepers and management should give hem special attention.My family visits the store often, and things like that make us constant, loyal customers.

Nice small cozy supermarket with cool friendly employees!

If youre nearby, its convenient as long as you arent looking for fresh baked goods or seafood. Produce can be hit or miss and i have no idea why they have a seafood department. I dont see the need to buy my own food poisoning. As long as youre selective about what youre getting, its ok. Plus its kind of cool shopping in 1983.

Nice little shoprite easy to navigate, signs are big an clear to read for the isles, they normally have a good meat stocked but do to covid19 some meat are out of stock quickly, there seafood is very good an they have a nice bunch to choose from an they have live lobster an they can steam it for you if you want so its ready to eat but all in all staff is polite an helpful store is maintained very well thats just my perspective on the store. Happy shopping

Great deli sandwich at a very affordable price. Just a bit older than some of the other stores, but very well stocked and good prices as to be expected at shop rite.

I can always count on the Shoprite in OB to have great sales of a multitude of products my family & I love. Theyre always well stocked too so I make sure to buy in bulk for extra savings. This location is definitely my favorite so its a joy to shop there. If you live in the area, be sure to stop by & check them out!

They more or less have everything I need. probably one of the most important things which may not seem important to others is that their cashiers are very polite and cheerful, needless to say the prices are fantastic.

I like the fact that it is a small store and yet has everything at you need just like the superstore or super ShopRite that is I know its going to be closing soon the building the other one on the southbound side of Route 9 it will be a shame to see it go they have better carry all the employees over to that store they were all great there and very helpful

This particular ShopRite caters to a very diverse clientele... From young to old and everyone in between. All ethnicitys too. Its is always busy and is most likely the smallest ShopRite in our area. In 2018, they are supposed to move across Rt.9 to the new ShopRite Superstore when completed. I cant wait!

Basic bare bones grocery store. Week on cleanliness selection fresh produce healthy items...The whole place is like a time capsule to when we didn’t know any better...

This definitely a store that ShopRite forgot about. Even a semi refresh would do wonders for this store. Deli is terrible couple of choices here and there. If it wasnt so close to my house I wouldnt go out of my way to shop there

I call this MY Shop Rite! I have been shopping here since 97. Everyone is so kind & knowledgeable. No matter what item I ask for, they know what aisle its on. My favorite cashier is Sherry Curry. All the ladies & gents are nice. Even when I have returns, theyre ready, willing, & able w/a ☺.

This is an older style theater no stadium seating. However the staff are friendly and awesome. Theyve also got an extensive selection of food

No bakery person to right on cakes at 1130 in the morning will never stop at that shop rite again .it shouldnt even have the shoprite name !!!

Very good Super store, specifically for groceries. Very fresh items. Good service. Easily visible items. Properly marked aisles.Big parking lot & good trolleys. Checkout system is also very nice. Prices even better than Walmart on most of the items.

Ive been going here for many years... They do a very good job here. Produce is fresh, meats are good and the prices and sales are great. The staff is friendly and helpful... And they hire the local kids all the time to work here.

ShopRite in Old Bridge is good and very convenient store. I go very often there, because is close to my home.

This store needs more than a fresh coat of paint. The outdated style and organization of this place makes me dread when its my only option. Ive had to return things twice after getting home and finding the item is questionable when the wrap is removed. Its not that every person shouldnt pay extra attention to their food, but I really, really hate that being my first thought when I get to the store.

The place isnt that clean. Ive been there a few times. Seen plenty of moldy food, old produce and even was shopping for pork roll, went in the end of Jan 2018/start of Feb 2018 and they were all dated 11/2017 expiration. Why are these things not checked? Its run down, they need a remodel badly. Staff is great but the corporate needs to give the awesome staff better bones to work with.

First thing you notice is the parking lot is a disaster. So be careful! No idea who thought itd be smart to lay out spaces this way but if you dont mind the walk its easier to park on the side.Second thing is the Shop Rite looks OLD. Inside and outside it desperately needs new updates. It actually just looks dirty from floor to ceiling. Even the shopping carts are rusty and old.The layout of the store is very bizarre, it doesnt follow the flow of most other stores and it even has an extra added area that youd probably not know to look for if thats not where the milk was.Honestly I tend to avoid this Shop Rite even though its right next door to where I live.Ive not really spoken to any of the workers there but they all seem to get along as I see them joking around and talking with each other which is nice in my opinion. Also Ive never had a rude cashier, theyre all very friendly. So in a pinch Id use this store but otherwise I just prefer my places cleaner, more organized, and updated.

Great store. The customer service here is really great. The store is really well stocked after they expanded it.

Fair prices, fresh food, friendly staff. The only downside is that it was built during a time when the population of Old Bridge was smaller. So the aisles may feel very tight during your visit.

The produce section isnt great, but the location is convenient so its a good store in a pinch. Worth stopping by once in a while because there will often be awesome discounts on meat and nonperishable items.

The store is very outdated.

Let start with they don’t accept returns from another Shoprite. I have never heard of anything so ridiculous. I have purchased things from out of state and returned it to other Shoprites. I just feel if you are going to carry the Shoprite name, you should be flexible. A lot of the produce does not last last. I will not be going to that store any more.

My favorite Shoprite! It has the best prices and its easy to find everything. Its not too big, but still carries everything Im looking for. I moved closer to another one and I still do 90% of my shopping there.

Always big lines at checkout, every register should be open. Decent cheese department for a supermarket. Not like Wegmans, but decent. Deli department, eh, mediocre.

I like this ShopRite for one good reason and that is its never crowded. I will say its not the biggest food store or a food store with a diverse selection like the bigger ShopRites but I can get in and get out with the items I am looking for. That to me is the best thing I hate waiting in lines.

I was waited on today 10/21/18 by a very nice and friendly deli woman for my lunch meats, as I waited my turn I wondered if the store knew what a great employee she was and the impact an employee like that has on their reputation, which was not always great in my past experience. Wish I would have stopped by management and mentioned her

ShopRite still has the best prices compared to other supermarkets, although I have noticed a few significant increases over the past two years. This particular store is small. Im looking forward to seeing the stores new location which hopefully will have a more robust selection of organic fresh produce, and other items which I now buy at Wholefoods or Wegmans.

This is an older store that has not been updated with self service registers. That being said it is an okay shopping experience.

Stopped here on the way home from work for a few quick things store was very clean everything I was looking for was easy to find and of course just like other shoprites the pricing was very good

For a suburban grocery store its a bit cramped and dank. But the select of food is good and the prices reasonable. Its a decent place to good shop.
