I ordered my 2021 Bronco from this dealer, and in the end did not take delivery. This dealer jacked the price up 10k right before my car was going to ship. The sales consultant, Anthony was not communicative and had I not physically gone in to check, I am quite sure that he would not have notified me until the shipment arrived and I was in the lot. Anthony tried to sell me on a commodity chip shortage excuse for the price hike and put it back on Ford, which wasnt true due to this being my own build through Ford. This car would have never come to their lot if I hadnt ordered it from Ford.On my way out the door the manager, Pat made sure to get the last word in telling me that this is the customers fault because people are flipping these cars after they take delivery. Both men were not only terrible salespeople, they are rude and counting on people not being educated in the buying process. It was a terrible and deceptive experience from start to finish. There are much better places to order cars from and certainly more honest people out there. Stay away from this place and certainly if you have ordered a Bronco through Ford, I would highly recommend switching to another dealership that will not perform this bait and switch. They can make their 10-15k on my order, I was happy to walk......hoping this saves some time and aggravation for someone else.

I purchased my first vehicle from Saybrook Ford yesterday, and my experience was amazing. Especially being that ignorant female (let’s be honest here), it is rare for me to leave a dealership without feeling taken advantage of. In my past experience with other dealerships, I typically can’t even put my car into park without being harassed by a pushy salesman. I did not experience that here. I was able to browse on my own and received assistance when I was ready. I worked with Marc who was absolutely fantastic. He was very helpful and respectful. Guy in finance was also great to work with. I felt everyone I dealt with had my best interest in mind. I was even able to drive home my new Ford Edge that same day which I certainly did not expect! I was very pleased with the way I was treated there. I would definitely do business there again in the future. I 100% recommend!!

My wife and I purchased a Ford Escape from Anthony back in 2017, and he was very patient and helpful in explaining the features and functions which were most important to us. I recently worked with Anthony on trading my 2013 Ford Escape for a 2017 Ford Escape. We negotiated a fair price, and we were able to mange the transaction electronically due to the pandemic. The vehicle was fully cleaned and prepared for pickup with 48 hours. Anthony and Saybrook Ford have earned our business.

Dishonest and not trustworthy. We bought a used Audi Q5, which an hour after purchase began leaking raw gasoline fumes into the passenger compartment. The toxic fumes could have killed us, we had headaches and became nauseous. In all reality this situation was really dangerous and life threatening.When I called the dealer they said “don’t worry we will take care of it” and showed genuine concern. We went back the next day (we live 70 miles away) and they confirmed the gas odor but could not at that time assess where it came from, and said that we should come back and “they will take care it, don’t worry”.Saybrook Ford booked a service appointment at my local Audi dealer in an attempt to foist the problem onto someone else. When Audi said they would not fix it on recall (it would be a $1,550 repair) we were told to pick up the car. Saybrook Ford, who booked the appointment, would not pay for the diagnostic fee and we had to pay their bill for the Audi dealer to release the car to us. From that point on Saybrook Ford denied any responsibility and would no longer return my calls, despite many attempts. The manager, Andrew, in our last conversation even said “go ahead and place your bad reviews, I really don’t care it all gets lost with time anyway”(I hadn’t even threatened to do so). I have realistic expectations when buying a used car, but by law it needs to be “road safe”, a fuel leak into the passenger cabin is certainly not road safe. There were other promises they failed to keep as well. Take your business elsewhere, as this dealers lack of integrity is ingrained throughout the company, from the owner, manager, sales staff, service manager, and all the way down.

Saybrook Ford caused damage to one of my wheels while getting a basic oil change on my mustang . They did not return my calls and emails. I made several attempts to report the damage . I have been a valued customer for years. Received no return calls or messages. Worst service Ive ever experienced. Would not recommend this dealer for service to anyone.

I went to Saybrook Ford to drop-off my truck and none of the mechanics were wearing masks. Unlike some people, that doesnt bother me. A couple of the mechanics walked past me while I was standing in line waiting to drop-off my truck, no big deal. Here is where it gets interesting, they told me I had to put a mask on. I, the customer have to put a mask on but the employees dont. I did not drop my truck off, had everyone been wearing a mask I would have put one on and given them my business.Ive had issues with them in the past and wasnt going to go there again, I wont make that mistake again.

I am a repeat buyer. This was a very easy decision to come back to FORD but even easier to come back to Saybrook Ford. I have worked in the car business before and seeing how they do things was like a dream. Very fast and organized which some dealerships just are not. I know not showing ups unprofessional but for you to call me and then threten my employment at my current job seems way more unprofessional to me. I purchased a 2019 Shelby GT350 from Saybrook Ford less than a month ago. Not only did they sell me the car with undisclosed paint damage under the passenger side rear wheel well but they also sold me the car with basically bald tires. Unfortunately, I didnt see the condition of the tires when picking it up because they were covered in sand and the car was not cleaned before I picked it up. I settled with them replacing 2 of the 4 tires and upon bringing the car in for the service, they damaged my car. They either drove it into something or dropped something on it as the damage went through the $2,000 clear bra I just had installed and through the paint of the front bumper. I put $30k down on this car and have had the worst experience after the first time driving it off the lot. Their communication and response time is absolutely terrible. Not only did they tell me there was no way they damaged my car (mind you, it was not damaged before bringing it in for service) but they also told me to have my attorney contact them as they will no longer deal directly with me about the incident. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone and have submitted complaints with the CT DMV, Ford Motor Company and CT Better Business Bureau.

I worked here for just over 6 months as a technician. The building is old and small but the effort these people crank out is anything but that. Making due with the old building they have they still have some of the most up-to-date tech and some of the smartest technicians. Your satisfaction is their #1 goal and they are prepared to show it. And while personally I had not dealt with any recalls or witnessed any coming in they make sure whatever is wrong is made right. Hard working people with a sense of humor and big hearts with honesty. If coming here is a new experience for you then dont be afraid to step up and walk in. One last thing I will say personally is Ive had only a couple of bosses in my career life and the boss I had here was the most honest and smartest man Ive met. And thats their service Manager which whom works in the background and no one really knows about. That guy is old school in his work ethic and his quality is insane! And thats the manager himself! I have to say just based on a phone call inquiring about a vehicle online, the customer service was remarkable! The female answered all my questions, I explained I was just shopping around and not committed to buying anything right this second. She was not only understandable but offered several options when I do decide to buy like: vehicle options, financing, warranty and she even went as far to discuss trade in process. I have to say the amount of time she spent on the phone with me (someone who isnt ready to buy) you just have to appreciate. As others have said in their reviews, be aware that the advertised prices are given with the assumption that you are providing a certain amount down or with a certain trade in amount. For example a used car listed as $36,000 is actually $39,000 because you are giving them $3000 down. Imagine buying a five dollar foot long from Subway but you have to give them two dollars before they will sell it to you for five. It makes no sense really. This makes some of their inventory WELL above a fair market value. Its a bait and switch that you would expect from a small no name dealer, not a Ford dealership.

Bought my 2016 Ford Escape from them. First time buying a car from a dealership and they helped me out and never once pushed it down my throat. Very helpful staff. Showed me all the features for the car. Brought it there for its first oil change and had no problems. The service provider told me exactly what he was going to be doing and how long it would take. At the time of purchasing a used truck, I was promised a limited warranty but at the time of final sale, he denied ever saying it. As others have mentioned, their Internet Price is wrong and misleading. It includes a Trade in or 5,000 so in reality add 5,000 or whatever your vehicle trade in is valued at to their internet price. I wanted to purchase the vehicle for cash at the internet price that day but couldnt. After agreeing to a sales price with the salesman who was in communication with the finance manager, $2,700 were magically added to the purchase contract after I thoroughly reviewed it before signing. I was originally told this was part of the deal and added into the trade in value of my truck this is how we are able to make it work, which was a lie. I walked away the day before delivery. The sale I would give 0 stars for this waste of my time.The 2 stars is for the dealership doing a great job with masks and social distancing and the salesman providing the pictures I asked him to.Be smart and do your homework on prices and the terms and conditions you agree to. Their used sales price in reality are higher than average and these dealerships are going to have a lot of inventory on their hands with unemployment at the highest its been since the great depression.

Thank you Anthony, for selling me a 73000 dollar truck in three hours, and then never returning a phone call to me after the deal was done, apparently I was no longer a priority to you. They sold me a new boss plow with my new ford f350. I took delivery of the truck, got it home and was very unhappy with the plow. It was 100% unused. I called the dealership the next day to see if I could swap my brand new unused plow for the other model that I originally wanted, telling them I would gladly pay the difference and was told I would get a call back. No calls back. I called them again, and was told they needed to speak the the owner and manager, then I would receive a call back. Another day goes by, no call. So once again I called, got the typical run around. Again, not as if I was asking for something for nothing, I was more than willing to pay my way on the difference. Still to this day, 2 weeks later I havent heard back. Thank you Anthony, the truck specialist, for taking such great care of me.....made the deal, then wants nothing to do with me. Buyer beware, you get treated like a one night stand as soon as the deal is done.

This dealership is using false advertising. On CarGurus they advertise one price, usually low, so CarGurus says its a good price, and they hide, somewhere in the product description, that the price Reflects x amount of cash or trade. I went there to look at the car advertised on CarGurus for 25k, to find out that it is really 30k. What a bull..... Using this tactics to bring people to the showroom is bad business. I researched other cars they advertise. Same BS. I ended up buying a different car at the same day,in different dealership. Price advertised on CarGurus was the Real price, not a catch,to bring you in. Do Not Go to Saybrook Ford.

I once had Great experience on service side that I gave 5 stars for but my second visit with a different service team was a disaster. I go in for a simple oil change and I walk away with broken sunroof and lies. I asked the same question why are you touching my finicky sunroof for an oil change? Leaving greasy fingerprints all over it and not coming forward with the issue and having it jammed in a different position was enough for me to ask about it and have it cleaned up. When they completely deny any of it i had had enough. Not only am I 1000% positive about noticing differences in my car that Im driving EVERYDAY but I also over hear them yelling across the shop to wear gloves so you dont leave grease prints in peoples cars. With that said they still decide to lie and will never take any responsibility for their amateur action. I will not only never go here again but also buying a ford will never be on the list after dealing with shady service departments from two different locations. I am very glad me and my family made the decision to buy a 2020 GMC ACADIA last week instead of a ford explorer. My name is right there i drive a lincoln mkz im in ur system. This incident happened a month ago and if you would like to try and gain a customers respect back Id be willing to answer that call. The truth is finding a good service department these days is a very rare thing and to me that is a deciding factor on where I buy a car.

They seem to rush the sale and not complete a thorough safety check on the used vehicles that are not Fords. Bought a Hyandai Tucson with bald tires that were promised to be changed at a later date which turned out to be a week later. And Theyre service department takes an hour to put on 2 tired which I feel is a bit excessive.

Very disappointed with Saybrook Ford. From the owner on down to the sales staff, there is nothing good to be said. My brand new car had almost 700 miles on it, a dent in the hood, and golf tees in the trunk.🙄 Sadly, they didn’t have the decency to resolve the problems. Oh well! Their loss! My wife and I have been long time customers of Saybrook Ford. We purchased a new Ford Fusion back in 2009 and have always got the service done at Saybrook Ford. The staff has always been accommodating and helpful. Paul Visconti the service manager has always gone above and beyond to help. We recently purchased a used Ford Edge. Their have been some problems with the vehicle but Saybrook Ford have been stand up guys and have covered the issues that needed to be addressed. We will continue doing business with them for the foreseeable future.

Was looking to get pricing on a 2016 Ford F-150 XLT they have for sale. Was very rudely told that the internet price is less than that of the price of the car. When speaking with the sales manager he was very condescending and was basically implying that I couldnt afford the truck anyway. I dont want to do business with a dealership that values their vehicles more than their customers. Go to ford of Branford instead. They sold me the same truck with less miles for the price they have advertised.

If I could give a zero or a negative, I would. Years ago I took my other card there a number of times and it wasnt bad. However, I will never will go there again. A few months ago I brought my newer car there and they orginally charged me over $400 to tell me they were not sure why I had lights on my dash board. They also charged me $35 to tell me I need a new exhaust. $35 is nothing but turns out I did NOT need it! I took my car to Ford in Milford for a second opinion, and they fixed the problem with the dash no problem and found out nothing was wrong with my exhaust. Saybrook Ford Service department is joke and they scam people. Do not bring your car there. Definitely worth the drive to Milford.

Prices for vehicles listed online are very misleading. They list vehicle for sale for a specific price; then on the body of the announced,ent vehicle details they state that price listed is based on the assumption of $x,xxx down payment/trade in. This allows them to list vehicles for sale at any price they want. Terrible business practice! Do not recommend.

Bought a lot of vehicles in my days, but never had a great an experience as with Saybrook Ford. Bought a Mustang GT500 from Bill Buswell which was an absolute pleasure, No high pressure, just a extremely knowledgeable and friendly sales person. We were treated by Ben Quinones like he was making the sale.It was a warm day and we had our dog with us. We were offered to bring the dog into the building, which we did. It was then that Lannie delivered a bowl if water and a substantial dog cookie to the dog, We must have been offered a coffee from every one in the building. The negotiations went very well and extremely fair. After the agreement was made Guy French handled all our paperwork with expedience. The vehicle was prepped and delivered. Bill explained all the features and safety items of the vehicle. It felt like we were buying a vehicle from friends that we had known forever. Again, this was as pleasurable a vehicle purchase we have ever made. Kudos to Ted and his staff. Saybrook Ford will be my first contact for any future vehicle needs.Bob & Donna and Millie the dog

Have not had very good luck at all here. I brought my old trucks here 3 times and the service work was always well over the estimate and when my 2018 f150 had started to make a transmission noise they decided not to look at because I didnt buy it there even though it is under ford warranty.

Their slogan says where a handshake still counts I found out today that their word doesnt.I live in Saratoga Springs, NY I found a truck on their website that I was interested in. I made several phone calls and emails back and forth. We worked out a deal, I emailed all paperwork to them and the financing was taken care of also. We agreed a time and day for me to come over and do the trade. I left my house at 5:30 am and made the 4hr. drive. After I got there and spent about an hour and a half the owner explained to me they made a mistake, they thought (after running my VIN number to see all the specs and options on my trade in) that my truck was diesel not gas, and for me to make the trade it would cost me an additional $4500.00. So after cleaning all my belongings out of my truck taking a day off work spending the gas money and driving 4 hours each way theres nothing they would do for me. They didnt even offer to pay for the gas after admitting it was their mistake. Also the liquidation sale price thats listed on the used vehicles on their website has a $3000.00 down payment in the description thats not noticeable until you read everything. I will never go there again and Ill advise anybody I know NOT to do business there.
