Gaming Generations is a gamers paradise. They are an establishment truly dedicated to the gaming community. I used to go to GameStop (almost threw up saying that) and would constantly be scammed and over priced for the simplest of things. But then I went to gaming Generations and I was blown away by how friendly and reasonably priced everything was.

We had a unique device that had a few broken wire which made the device inoperable. I was referred here by a former employee. They took a look and said they could fix the wires. They were the ONLY company in La Crosse area willing to do that. They fixed it in a day and for a reasonable price. Great service and job well done.

My brother-in-law and I went in with four different gaming systems and a bunch of cords. I had no idea which cord went where or if we even had all the cords. Alex was super super nice and said no problem and put everything together. My brother-in-law has a severe brain injury and doesn’t always get treated the best custom service, Alex knocked out customer service out of the park!!! Super nice guy with GREAT customer service!!! Totally recommend Gaming Generations!!! We will be back for our gaming needs!!!

They fix the plug in end on my apple tablet. Promise in 2 to 3 days. Drop off at 11am call me 7:50 down but close at 8pm. Thank you

Wide selection of gaming stuff and old to new gaming. More consoles than gamestop so worth the stop if looking for a new console from past generations.

My grandchild did something to my phone that it froze,I went back to Verizon for help and they said there was nothing that could be done. With in 8 minutes of entering Gaming Generations the female worker had it fixed! THANK YOU SO MUCH!

I would suggest only coming here if you really cant find what you are looking for anywhere else. Everything is extremely over priced for games that cost less brand new at gamestop or walmart. Now I understand selling games alittle higher to make a profit but it seems like they are being alittle greedy when its used games they most likely bought from some for a couple of dollars.

They are a nice little store. Good overall selection in used games. Not likely to grab any super deals and youre not overpaying for anything. And youre helping support small business by shopping there. Always get greeted when i go in. Recommend stopping to at least check them out

More often than not, when people think of gaming generations, they think of a video game store. I went to gaming generations for an iPhone repair. Prior to GG I drove around la crosse from repair service center to Best Buy to EVERYWHERE trying to get this phone fixed. Every single location I went to told me it can’t be fixed and that I need a new phone. GG had super helpful staff that took my phone and fixed it within a day, no issues. GG didn’t tell me I needed a new phone, they just fixed it. I wish GG wasn’t my last choice for a phone repair. Next time I need a phone repair, GG is definitely my first choice!!! GG does what other repair services don’t (trying to be clever with the old sega slogan lol)

Great little store. Great selection of games for a lot of modern and retro consoles. Really loved the clearance rack that had cheap games, and cheap game bundles. That was a nice touch, the bundles are a great idea.Got a very fair price on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Hyperstone Heist for Sega Genesis and its in great condition to boot.Highly recommend this store for collectors and casual gamers alike.

We always have conversations about our favourite pokemons as well since this is my go to stop for Poke-Plushies and used PS4 games. Had some issues with the battery on my wifes iPhone, which was no longer under warranty, so Apple/Mac Guys were no longer of any help. These guys were very helpful, very timely, and very affordable. They fixed the phone, and its been working great since. Highly recommend.

I have one of these stores in my home town. When I found out there were more in the state. I told myself I would stop in those if I had the chance. I was out visiting family on the west side of the state. I took them with me to this great little store. None of us were disappointed. Great selection of games from Retro to New gen. They also fixed my uncles phone that day on the spot. Love all these stores there needs to be more places like this instead of Gamestops everywhere.

Hubby always finds something to buy

A bunch of scammers. I tried to return defective items that cost a total of about $25 and was only given $5 instead of the full amount. The guy working said because the item I had purchased was brand new when I bought it, and because I had opened the package, that he couldnt give me my money back! How the heck am I supposed to even find out if the supposedly brand new item works or not without opening the box?! Also, for the items that I was able to return, I was told there isnt enough money in the register to give you cash. So they wrote me a check. Are you kidding me?? If you are running a business, a retail/resale business in particular, you should probably have $200-$300 in your register at all times and a lot more in a safe or close by to your store. The check they gave me had scribbled out things on it because the guy writing it kept messing it up, and honestly Im concerned about taking it to the bank with scribbles on it. They low balled the heck out of me, and I really wish I didnt lose $20 because of them. This was one of the worst experiences Ive had at any store. I would like to say though, this wasnt the employees fault, apparently this is their store policy. I DO NOT like it though, and have never heard of anything even close to similar to this. Never going back. Sorry gaming gen, but you guys lost a customer forever unless I get my $20 back.

I came to your store from MN with my Dad when my Sister was in a competition for her high school show choir, while there I bought two games. When we got home I went to my Wii u to play the games I got, Super Smash bros worked, but then I entered the Wii menu for my cross platform system and put Wii Sports Resort in to the disk player and it loaded, but when I got to play it didnt work. After that we called the store up and they said they were sorry for the inconvenience and fixed the problem by sending a new game! Today I got that game and I am really excited to play tonight. Thank you for making this right for me by standing behind your product! I will definately shop there again when we are back in town! Jack (12yrs old)

These guys (and gals) are great! Customer service was excellent both on the phone and in the store. I brought in my iPhone 5s with a cracked screen and my Samsung Galaxy 3 tablet that would not turn ON. The screen was an obvious fix and they were able to fix the tablet for $15 after running a diagnostic test. I appreciate their honesty, frankly they couldve told me anything and I wouldnt have known the difference. The guys in the back are so nice and helpful. You wont regret going there for repairs to your phone, tablet or gaming system OR to purchase a game etc.

Ive broken my screen on my galaxy s9 twice already in 3 months and I have taken it in to gaming generations. Unfortunately, this is a very new phone so parts are inexpensive but they got it back to me the same day each time. I do still have some issues but they have great customer service, so I will go back once I stop procrastinating. But, they do the very best and if you have an issue, the give a 90 day warranty.

Fantastic customer service. Had an issue with design differences between wii u parts. Nintendo changed a few things along the way. These guys knew exactly what the issue was and resolved it quickly be sending me the necessary wires to fix it. I cannot say enough how important communication is and these guys get it. Kudos!

I visited the Onalaska store on February 25th. I am usually quite satisfied with the service, however the girl working counter saw who I was, started glaring, and didnt even greet me! When I asked for the games binder, she answered the phone and handed me the binder without a word. She didnt even greet the person on the phone. I dont like to write reviews either, as I am also customer service. Very disappointed.

Took my iPhone in to get my screen fixed. When I got it back everything (except the volume buttons) worked great. I noticed the volume button issue later,but still within the warranty period. Took it in on Monday 3-6 at 10:45ish am for same day repairs. Today Thursday 3-9. It still wasnt done. I wish I could give less than one star

Last night I came in with a craigslist buy. They helped me order cords I need and made sure it all worked. They spent about an hour explain and helping me find games. They made me feel welcome it was so nice.

I’ve lived here in the LaCrosse area since 2011 and have been going to Gaming Generations most of that time. Never had an issue or complaint, until now. I took my system into get looked at to see what the problem was and the gentleman behind the counter was nice and checked in my PS4. This was on June 26th. He stated it would take a few days to run a diagnosis. Two weeks to the day I finally get a call from the tech that’s working on it and he tells me what he thinks the issue is, we come up with a game plan on what he ‘s gonna do to attempt to fix the problem. I should also state for the record that in the two weeks I stopped in twice and called once for a total of three times I contacted them. Anyway, on July 11th I get a call that it’s ready so I came in on Saturday the 13 I picked it up, went home and set it back up to play. It didn’t even turn on, straight to safe mode again. So I called back and told them, he left a note for the tech to call me. I called back Sunday, at this point I only wanted a manager, was told someone would call me. It’s now July 16th, no phone call, no working system and I’m out $25.00, I’m not happy at all.

This is a pretty well known store in town. Started out in a storage unit and now they have several stores locally and beyond and do a lot of business online. They have better trade in value and prices than most other businesses and also do repair work. They do things other stores would never consider. I bought a PS4 from them and didnt care for the game it came bundled with so they just let me straight up trade it for any other game I wanted. They also carry plushies, hats, toys, window decals and more game related stuff. Best local price for HDMI cables Ive found.

I took my IPhone there to have power button replaced with same day service. I had been told they were fabulous by a coworker, so I had no doubt about leaving it in there care. However, my power button was fixed, but my microphone was destroyed so nobody could hear me clearly when talking on phone. I took it back two times for repair and never was corrected. I took to Apple to have checked found out they broke my screen in two places and had some parts missing internally. So my advice... be skeptical of repairs and take the time to bring your phone to Apple for repair! They made me feel like I was dreaming this up and even told me it was the other people phone not mine! Until I called them later and they then heard for them selves how aweful it was. They did refund me what I paid them, but I still had to get a new phone $400 later!!

This is a store that has gone above and beyond when it comes to customer service.A few weeks ago, I took my iPhone 6 for a screen repair. Because of the way the screen got damaged, they had to replace the Touch ID which they informed me would stop Touch ID functionality because of the way the iPhone is built.A few days later, a new iPhone update got released and it actually bricked my phone because Apple doesnt allow for you to replace the Touch ID at all. When I took it back to GG, they were really nice and tried to unblock the iPhone with me, even though it was no longer their responsibility. They even went as far as to open the phone back again and change several of the inner cables to see if the phone came back to life. Eventually, we gave up and I took my nonfunctioning phone back home.This past Wednesday, I took it to them to see if I could sell it for parts when one of the technicians recognized me and told me that Apple had actually reversed what had blocked my iPhone originally and then offered to unblock it there at the store. I was extremely surprised and happy to have my iPhone 6 back and will always be grateful to them for all the help they offered with the issue.I couldnt recommend them more. They offer great services and have exceptional customer service!

Took my HP computer in after having issues with windows 10. The help I received was outstanding. My computer was restored and for a reasonable cost. I definatly will refer gaming generations and if I have any other issues gaming gererations will be my first stop.
