I bought mixed nuts pack and puffed rice packet which were reeking of old oil smell. After two months, I tried buying mixed nuts again which I opened in the store itself and still they were bad and unhealthy.Don’t buy them until they restock and be careful of what you buy, especially packaged items.

I always go here for fresh produce and vegetables and loved it. However, Last week when I shop there The blueberries were on sale (2 pines for $3) and the reason is obvious. Each box visibly had a LOT of mold, Attracted many fruit flies. It was disgusting. And the market did not even bother to remove them! This week when I went there again those mold boxes were gone, and this batch appeared ok. With the same sale sign. So I bought two boxes, They tasted rancid, not fresh at all. As I am starting to make a connection, The market must just washed all those molded blueberries and then repackage them to sell, that’s probably why they tasted very bad.

The best South Asian grocery store in Central Connecticut. Been shopping here for a year now and always find fresh fruits and vegetables. They also sell halal meat and other cooking items.My only request is that they should improve the aisle labels since its often difficult to find items and I dont like bothering store employees to find things for me.Cashiers are super efficient and other employees are helpful too.

Indian Farmers market is great to grocery store. I will loved 🥰 to go there not only for grocery but there employees are friendly and helpful. Anything I’m looking for I ask any employees they always help or bring it for me. Guys and girls great worker especially Zainab she always help me to fine my stuff I needed it. Great Job Zainab.

Zainab has the most ridiculous attitude I have ever witnessed in my life. I dont care if her family owns the store but interacting with everyday valued customers isnt a positive way to bring more business. Saying unnecessary comments like does it look like I know where it is lady, if you dont like my attitude then you can shop across the street to customers is very inappropriate.

I have witnessed the worst customer service anyone could possibly receive with cashier Zainab. Zainab has the nastiest attitude ever ! Her unprofessionalism was unmatched. Cashier cursing at me, threatening to spit in my face, then called the police on me ? She created such a hostile environment. No one should ever experience such disrespect just to buy meat. I don’t know how she is still employed, however this is a cash (under the table job). Very disgusted and disappointed in this Indian Market. I have never seen such.

The costumer service is horrible. The environment was so hostile and the employee’s were absolutely rude and unprofessional. One of the employees, Zainab, created such a VIOLENT environment and was VERY disrespectful to the costumers. I have never seen such horrible behavior because of meat. No one should ever have to experience this disrespect. I hope the owners take their time choosing their employees WISELY next time.

Great place for many specialized items as well as general fruit/vegetable grocery. The fruits and veggies are quite fresh, and where else can you find good mangoes, rambutan, dates and lychee around this part of CT regularly? They also have a selection of fresh vegetables that are clearly from the Indian subcontinent (but I have no idea what they are despite being intrigued). Then there are the many ailes of dried goods which feather Indian, Arabic, Turkish, Persian, etc. spices and sweets and speciality items (e.g., pomegranat syrup, rose water, dried gulpar seeds [Persian speciality], halva, etc.). We go here often.

Great place in the New Haven area to get Indian/Pakistani/Bangladeshi groceries and halal meat. Very big shop, lots of selections. Products do seem a bit more expensive than what you can get in NYC desi grocery stores.

I love coming here because it has things you didnt know you needed. I cook a lot of different types of meals and know I will find the ingredients here that I cannot find in a traditional grocery.

Best Indian grocery Ive been to. They have everything youd find at Patel Brothers, but at lower prices. This place is a wonderland of affordable and exotic treats.I also do a lot of my produce shopping here, even when not cooking Indian style meals. Very reasonable prices, lower cost and same quality produce as stop and shop.

A friend told me that I had to go here. So, after my visit to GOODIES, we stopped into the Market. It has ALL the spices. Its almost overwhelming. Theres fresh Halal meat by order. Frozen fresh fish, amazing assortment of fruit. Bought the ginger garlic paste & have used it almost everything!!!

It was great, I purchased plantains 2 for $1.00, cilantrillo 2 for $1.50 they were very big bundles to make sofrito, peppers in a package of 5, 80 cents a pound. They have great deals. Lots of veggies and fruits. I saw a variety of GOYA products, lots of India products. Nice and clean.

I am here every week for few things but end up buying a lot more. India Farmers Market has all you need. Fresh meat, vegetables, fruits, middle eastern food (pretty much everything), frozen. Prices are very reasonable compare to other shops.

Its my go-to place for a lot of international food, mostly because I couldnt find any other store that carries the most items as they do. Having said that, most of their stuff are catered to Indian and Mediterranean cuisine, and I couldnt find much on the Oriental side. Not surprising, but it would be great if they add more variety in their items.Beware of buying perishable items, as sometimes I get the luck of buying stuff thats expired. Customer service, however, is not so great, making the return process very cumbersome. They need to go through their inventory more often.Perishable items, like fruits and veggies, are a hit-or-miss. Sometimes I will come to a store full of fresh items, other times, not so much.Overall, not too bad of a store, just be sure to inspect your items when shopping at this store

Good bargain in fresh produce and wide south Asian variety groceries.

You get all indian items here which includes vegetables, spices, chicken meat, fish, coffee and tea powders, lip balms and many more.

Seemed like it has seen better days, guess the huge store across the street had something to do with it. Still good variety and a bit of everything. As with most of this kind of stores, no organic produce.

Many authentic groceries, doubt you would not find what you’re looking for if you’re looking for Indian/Pakistani/Middle Eastern ingredients, only downside for me is the greens are left there in refrigerated which makes it go bad quickly, which means it’s you and your luck if you visit the store right after they get the greens or a day after. Prices are decent compared to other close by stores

This place has good collection of south Asian and middle eastern grocery. Nice and big isles to go around with lots of delicacies from different countries. They also have a halal meat section inside the grocery store.

Very wide variety of vegetable products. Outside the open air farmers market this is the only place I found the the molokhia leaves. I didnt find it today but as a treat they had moringa leaves. Unfortunately the run of the mill asian vegetables arent the freshest.

Quite a variety of things to be found. Wide array of spices, fruit, and most of a wall dedicated to rice. Everything from Jerk Sauce to Mamoul.

Hand slaughtered halal meat. Halal marshmallows. Decent date selection, zamzam water, and black seed oil and seeds. Good selection of South Asian, middle eastern, mexican, and turkish imported groceries. Wide variety of breads and ready made dosa mixes, sweets, pickles, cheeses, and spices. Lots of frozen and smoked fish. Huge selection of frozen veggies, breads, and ready made meals. Good variety of herbs, fruits, and vegetables. Employees speak a wide variety of languages making it easier to navigate. Plenty of naturally gluten free items (like flours, mixes, etc) available also. Solid store.

Good store but many of the staff were not covering their noses with their masks and one man didn’t even have his mask covering his face but wore it underneath his chin. Not the safest place to shop unfortunately

I never seen such a worst shop in the past 15 yrs in US. Just across the road Bharat Bazar selling same Amul Ghee for 11.99 and Indian Market sells for 13.99. I have bought 5 coconuts yesterday, today when I cut it all 5 turns to be a bad ones. This is not a first time. If you need 1 coconut you may have to buy 6 of them. 5 of the coconut cost is free money for them. They are not deserve to be even 1 star. I believe this is not a business place and it sounds like a cheating place!! I wont visit this shop in my lifetime.

I absolutely adore this store. Their produce is always fresh, they carry fresh herbs, whole and ground spices, every lipid under the sun, and so much more! Their halal butcher is superb. Its a very big grocery store. You will find lot of things in here. But I felt the store need to be more organized like walmart and others does ...I would not said this unless its a small one like patel or other mini stores.Price wise some stuffs you will find cheaper than others and some even higher than others. Many things are not mentioned with price, so you would not know anyway until its billed. When I visited, I got lot of stuffs i.e. more than $300, I didnt had a chance to see what is being billed in detail. But when I checked after coming home, there is one item that was billed for $6 which I didnt even buy but I dont know if I complaint about it as I will be able to prove it after coming home.Quality wise, some groceries like lentils and all didnt find to have a great quality.Meat items sold there found to be good enough though cant be best like we get in India.
