Came here because of the good reviews and Im glad I did. Was looking for a basic distortion pedal for my nephew and Jerry, the owner, first asked me some questions about my nephews setup and then told me that maybe I shouldnt get one yet since a lot of amps have distortion already and should get comfortable first on that. HE DIDNT TRY TO SELL ME BUT THE COMPLETE OPPOSITE! I had to insist on getting a pedal and then he guided me through some, found the one I wanted, gave me a great price, and I left a very satisfied customer. I highly recommend this place when it comes to anything to do with guitars. Great selection with lots of great guitars and gear plus the owner is very knowledgeable and wont try to rip you off or sell you something you dont even want or need. Extremely rare to find such a business these days, so I will def. be back in the future!

The first guy who wrote a review cannot spell or even use proper English, so what the hell he is doing trying to trash these guys is laughable. I bought an instrument there and stand behind both guys knowledge and professionalism. They are exponentially better than Guitar Center etc. Man, If you do not like the store, move on, but dont make up some story questioning their motives. They sure as hell did not rip me off.

I highly recommend them if youre in the market for a new guitar.

Took a stole through on our way home from work. Talked to Dustin a bit and checked out the rad collection of axes. Great shop and a ton of good stuff! Way better than anything else in Orange. Eff guitar center check this spot out.

I want to thank Jerry for his fairness in the way he conducted business with me. I had to sell a prized Strat. It was a guitar that has a lot of history and meant a lot to me. He didnt try to low-ball me and offered me a fair price. I will definitely do more business with Jerry and send business his way. His knowledge is deep, and has one more beautiful, old Strat to add to the stores already amazing collection.

This place is overpriced and nothing close to top tier boutique or collector vintage grade like you should expect. These guys are new here from Arizona with expectations to pull fast ones on people with money here in Orange County please do your own research. There experience and expertise is minimal they are all talk and give nothing for your instrument in cash or trade. Low attention to detail and low grade educational background in this industry with pathetic information on there instruments and nonsense storys backing them. The gear they have is not clean or setup and dialed in and the owner is a rude no it all ego maniac that thinks his store and what he has is the best period. Wont last.

Great place! So much fun too see all the guitars and amps and pedals that I remember either owning at one time or wanting. I really enjoyed the conversations with Jerry and his knowledge of his inventory. I ended up buying a clean 1966 Fender Blackface Super Reverb. Jerry made me a great deal on the amp and gave me the name of a retired Fender Tech that restores amps. Could not be happier. And the amp sounds like El Macambo!!!!!!

A friend of mine told me a nearby music store had opened, and that it had a lot of high quality instruments for sale. My friend was right - from the moment I walked in, I was immediately impressed by the cleanliness and size of the place, and how many beautiful and unique instruments there were for sale.The collection is awesome. There were so many rare and unique pieces, anywhere from double neck Dan Electros to Gibson Recording guitars to beautiful Godins. And that is just the guitars! They had a great collection of synthesizers and electric pianos as well.I met and talked with Dusty, one of the managers of the store, he was very knowledgeable and was very generous about showing and talking about the collection.Overall great experience here. Orange has been overdue for a cool up to date guitar shop for a long time now, and I think Guitar Collector is just that place.

No fun to be lied to, several times. Dude apparently thought I was stupid. Im not one to prove myself, but considering that I have over 20 years experience dealing in vintage guitars, am a professional musician, a published writer (about vintage guitars) AND have toured the world as a guitar tech was more than enough to spot the incredibly lame attempts at downright fraud in this store. Good luck with that kind of business model. The vintage guitar world is dying, and to alienate a customer that actually spends $ and is under the age of 50 is just fu*%king laughable. My first time ever writing an online review of a store. This experience was so bad that it had to be shared.
