MY vacuum motor had burnt out, and I couldnt find the part I needed anywhere #2021right?I wound up finding the part I needed online at The Mending shed, for a great price.Part was perfect, vacuum has been running like a champ since, and now I know how to replace the motor in my vacuum and take it apart all the different ways to clean it better so it doesnt blow a motor again!But, very happy I was able to find one place that actually had the motor in stock, so thank you!

Worse customer service I’ve ever had. I bought a heating element from this place. Didn’t install it took it back the same day, they voided the charge however it still showed up on my bank statement. I called them and said it processed as a payment. They said they voided it and to call the bank. I call my bank they told me the charge was never voided they could see on the back end that it didn’t go through as voided so I called mending shed back and asked them to refund the payment. They said it was voided and couldn’t do anything about it. Maybe because on your till on my invoice it says slowest computer ever. Maybe they need to update some computers so other customers don’t have this issue. I filed fraud on the charge. The lady I spoke with in billing was a joke.

Went in to buy canning lids. They were priced astronomically high, so I got some better quality Superb brand lids from an online store with ties to the Mennonites in Ohio and a 50-pack of Harvest Guard wide mouth reusable lids directly from the manufacturer in Colorado, both for less than the Ball brand lids from this store. I wrote, and then deleted, a previous review for this store. In their reply, the store owner went on a triple ballistic rant because reusable lids arent safe, only Ball/Kerr brands are recommended by the USDA, and because I called the store a rip-off.Now to reply to the store owner before they reply to this review: (1) the USDA doesnt recommend ANY brand of lid, it only recommends the two-piece style metal lids as the best for most home canners because they are the easiest to achieve a safe seal; (2) Superb brand lids, that just started full production for sale to the public last year, are of the recommended type by the USDA, are made in Ohio, and have thicker metal and a thicker seal than Ball/Kerr--accordingly they are less prone to buckling and sealing failures; (3) UMN and NIHCP did a comprehensive study on the reusable style lids that are made by Tattler and Harvest Guard and concluded that they are just as safe as the metal two-piece lids as long as manufacturer recommendations are followed during processing and storage; (4) if I have to pay more for a single use metal lid than I do for a reusable Harvest Guard lid, then that is a rip-off, your margins and your suppliers price-gouging not withstanding; (5) the standard canning lid and jar in Europe uses a glass lid with a disposable rubber seal and metal spring clips to hold the lid in place during processing and cooling, they have determined this system is safer than the American system--Tattler and Harvest Guard lids are just a hybrid of the two systems; and, finally (6) you may want to consider finding a professional to talk to. You seem to be burned out and stressed.

This place is amazing for many reasons. They have a large variety of replacement parts for a plethora of household appliances small and large. Perfect store for any DIY repair parts. Staff is knowledgeable and very helpful. They offer repair services on pretty much anything, including antique clocks. They are also a retailer for razor and power wheels parts and accessories, kitchen aid cooking products and accessories, and Dyson vacuums.

Always a good place to get tools repaired or find appliance parts. I had to replace the heating element in my dryer and every place I looked it was way more money than at the mending shed. Life savers for sure!

I have used them in the past. I had a problem with my dryer. I called to ask them what the problem may be, and they were accurately able to diagnose the problem over the phone, by just describing the issues I was having, and had the part waiting for me when I got there. They are very helpful and kind! Before spending a ton of money on a repair service, ask them first.

We’ve taken numerous items to Mending Shed over the many years they’ve been in business. This review is specifically for Ron Lewis the Clock Repairman. He has worked on every antique clock we’ve ever had. Numerous clocks. His work is excellent. His timeframe is very reasonable, as is the cost. I love The Mending Shed.

I was super surprised that they had the dryer element on hand. Plus they have a tool repair shop on site for the ever popular cordless tools that everybody seems to have now days. And neat little odds and ends for the kitchen gurus out there.

( Dont recommend anyone going here) So 1st I get there a guy in a green truck opens his door so hard it Literally dented my vehicle But its an older vehicle OK crab happens but not realizing it I locked my keys in the truck So I went in looking for a part they were 4 times more expensive Then the actual Company that was online but Hey they were here And I hate shopping online and a thing called a spanner Wrench That I also Needed unfortunately I didnt carry that much money on me So I walk out to my truck and And thats when I realize I locked my keys inside so I walk in start textingTo my customer that was gonna run a little late And then I text my wife to bring me my extra keys and please pick up the parts because one she had the money and to I was gonna be late and so had hurry the lady behind the counter as soon as I asked what the part was chewed me out said If youre gonna just keep asking about the part so you can order online that is a really Rude And that wasnt the whole thing she said either In the way she said it its like she was attacking your character or almost making you feel like she was about to snap and just getting a whole yelling argument Like from my view its like she went from being happy to be angry in 1 second So ImThinking like what the hell Im sorry I was just making sure my wife knew what to get since I wouldnt be there because I had to leave immediately as she got there because I was gonna be late for my appointment Im sorry you just assumed my character and Im sorry that my job requires me to be on my phone half the Time. So after that I told her what happened I was locked out I was just telling my wife what she need to get not even an apology from her So FYI Maybe if you cared about customer service as much as I did you wouldnt have been such a jerk and Im Putting it Nicely. The mending shed has everything! If you need to repair a tool or appliance look no further. They also have great kitchen accessories and bake ware. Their collection of seasonal bake ware is awesome if youre looking for top quality.

Excellent service! All of their employees are so knowledgeable and kind. They always help me find the right part with a smile on their face. Cute kitchen gear and parts for appliances. They also do onsite repairs.

While they had the PC Control Part for our older KitchenAide Pro Mixer in stock and that solved the problem (based on my own analysis), their service level on urgent response doesnt match the need. My request and additional payment for shipment did nothing but add expense and time to the process. Do NOT pay for expedited shipment as their courier is USPS and neither they nor Mending Shed staff will meet the need for delivery & if anything goes wrong on shipping they dont respond or bother to assist the process (or remediation if called for). They may have the needed part if others do not, but their lackluster service would lead me to look at others first next time to find the component before ordering here.

Fixed every blender Ive ever brought here! They fix a lot more than that but thats all I can personally say is excellent. Though Ive seen other products being fixed when I was there and know of others who love their service

I worked here during college and had a life changing experience working with this family. The service they provide is still relevant today and necessary to keep my appliances, tools, ride on toys and other items running. Their prices are competitive and willingness to help troubleshoot is priceless. I prefer to shop local always over supporting Amazon or even another online retailer that wont give you the level of service you can get at the Mending Shed.

My clothes dryer wasnt heating. I took the heating element here. They tested the part and diagnosed the problem. They made it so easy for me to fix it. Their extremely knowledgeable staff saved me so much money and trouble. They are amazing!!

This place is a freak of nature. They have everything and do everything you cant get anywhere else! It is organized and well stocked and I cant even categorize it. It is my go-to place for food preservation and camning equipment + replacement parts but you can also get parts for stoves and lots of other household items. You just have to go there. They fix stuff too.

This place is a great local place for many needs. They are very knowledgeable about appliances and tools and have a ton of great kitchen stuff. I had to fix 2 appliances after I purchased my home and they had the parts in stock. It was much more convenient than dealing with online purchasing and they were able to walk me through the install process. Would definitely recommend to anyone!

I have a Ryobi pressure washer that is not working. I called and was informed they would work on the pressure washer. I drove 40 minutes, one way, to drop off the item. Upon arrival I was then informed they do not work on Ryobi gas engines. I was furious and said I just drove 40 minutes and they guy looked at me as said oh well. What a joke. I will never go back there. They could have cared less they just wasted 80 minutes of my time.

The service was incredible here. I needed a part to fix my A/C on Friday and the helpful employee found the part and ordered it with the promise that it would arrive first thing Monday morning. I then got a text later that day that she had found the part locally, and it had been delivered and was ready for pickup. Above and beyond what was expected, and DEFINITELY appreciated.

We have used their repair services for many years now on our clippers and dryers for our grooming salon. They have always given us good service and very reasonable prices.

They had the supper difficult to find part that I needed, but they really made me pay for it.

Its been about two years, but after reading mostly positive and some of the negative reviews, I wanted to share our experience. The door button on our Kitchen Aid built in microwave broke, so we were unable to open the door or use it. We contacted the appliance repair guy who had worked on our dishwasher and were told that model couldnt be repaired. What?? Contacted the Mending Shed and they said to bring it in. A week later or so we had our microwave back with a functional door which has worked perfectly since. Great to have this resource in our community.

We love this place! We bought a snow-cone machine at the Mending Shed along with all the syrups, cups, and straws. Our kids did several snow-cone stands this summer and absolutely loved it. We love supporting family-run local businesses like the Mending Shed.

Above and beyond customer service! I went in not knowing what was wrong with my dryer, gave them a picture of the inside wiring and a model number and the women helping me was able to instantly see that my issue was related to one of 3 parts. She printed out a diagram of my model with each part identified and told me that in her opinion it was just a cheap wire that needed replacing but if that was wrong, I should bring in the other potentially broken parts and shed test them for me. She was absolutely right about the wire and for just $6 I was able to get my machine working again. I will definitely be going back and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly service.

I wish Id known sooner that they have such a large inventory of major appliance parts! On my most recent visit, I needed help in trying to diagnose the problem with my oven. Holly was very willing to take the extra time to help and guide me to a successful repair of my appliance. This was not my first experience there and each time I have been treated with the utmost courtesy, professionalism and willingness to use their extensive knowledge to help.

Friendly and fast service. They fixed a power wheels for me under warranty in about 20 minutes total. They have lots of cool stuff in the store as well. I will definitely use them again.

The service was wonderful. I have spent two days trying to find how to get the coupler replaced. Local sites were all for refrigerators, etc. Whirlpool could not help. the Kitchenaid site was not helpful and finally I got someone who told me to contact you.Within minutes the whole situation was resolved. I needed single small part to repair our KitchenAid mixer that had done a half-gainer off our kitchen counter. I found the part online at The Mending Shed. The cost of the part and shipping were very reasonable and it arrived promptly. The mixer was back in working order in short order. The service exceeded my expectations and how can you resist an endearing name like The Mending Shed?

We went to the mending shed for a part to fix our washing machine, while we were sitting there I looked the part up on Amazon it was $22 cheaper. I simply stated that to the lady helping us and asked her about the price difference. She got defensive which is totally understandable and told me the part is from China and it will ruin our washer so I explained to her it was shipped and sold by LG and asked if it was still possible that it would be a bad part because I would rather spend the extra money and not deal with any other issues, that literally set her off she totally flipped out on me!! I was basically yelled at and told I can support a small business or I can support the “richest company on earth” (Amazon) And then the mending shed won’t be there in the future and it would be our fault! I am all for supporting small businesses and she had me convinced it would be easier to just buy it then and there and then she flipped out so I walked out and saved $22 by buying straight from LG themselves.

Besides being very friendly, they always know what to do, figure it out if they don’t at first, or give you an honest opinion if it can’t be be repaired. This time they took care of my Dyson vacuum; no paperwork, no frustration, no fighting with Dyson. The Mending Shed handled it all. (They even gave me a loaner vac while they fixed mine.)

I have been going here for years and it is one of my favorite stores in the valley. They check my pressure canner for free every year. They have parts for all my household appliances and are good about answering questions. Over 3 months to fix a pull cord on a leaf blower. True part of the parts were on backorder but it took them 6 weeks to even look at my machine and then 6 more to get the part. Seems like they could be a lot more efficient. They were nice about it though for the most part

Well, I was told they were backed up when I took my warrantied blower in for repair. I appreciate that. I had some issues and brought them up to the owner of the company and she did a fantastic job getting me taken care of. Sometimes things take a long time when you are working with warranties. The Mending Shed is a great place to get model specific parts for many appliances and power tools including Whirlpool, Fridgidaire, Dewault, Milwaukee, Dyson, etc. They are also authorized service centers for lots of small appliances and tools.Make sure to bring a model number so that they can match the correct part with what you need.They cant go to your house to fix your washer, dryer or fridge, but anything that the Mending Shed cant do, they will try their best to help you find someone who can.

Fixed my dyson and were very quick at fixing it also! Only problem I had was getting a hold of them .. their phone line is always busy! But they have great customer care and service ! Ill definitely go back and send family and friends there.

Colleen was great...I ordered parts for my Kitchen Aid Pro 600 got the parts no problem, and fixed my mixer myself! Mending Shed was about $20 less than everywhere else and they were great! So I have a kitchen aid mixer that came a little bit offset. Basically, the whisk just didnt reach as far down as it shouldve. Just a minor issue. It was still completely usable. We took it into the mending shed to see if they could fix it, and they were able to get it done in about a week. A couple days later, I used it for the first time, and it was broken. The whisk did reach down to the bottom of the bowl, but they had completely broken the motor. Now, if you turn it on, it doesnt spin like it should. The motor just sits and grinds. This is in no way a factory issue. It has worked flawlessly for 5 years, and the same week we get it back from the mending shed its completely useless. We took it back to them and told them what happened, but they insisted that it was our fault, and that they couldnt have possibly made a mistake and broken it. They also wanted another $150 to fix it after they had broken it. They didnt even try to help in any way. Im going to order the parts from another business that is actually trustworthy and try to fix it myself. No matter what I do to it, the results will be better than what they gave me. So basically, they broke a $600 mixer and insisted that it was somehow our fault. DO NOT support this business. They dont care about helping you. They just want your money and have AWFUL customer service. Look at every other 1 star review. I have literally no trouble believing any of them. PLEASE go somewhere else if you want results that are even halfway decent. Why is there no 0 star option? They dont even deserve 1. Also, look at how badly the owner is treating other customers just because theyre trying to help other people not have the same bad experience. Nobody who actually cares about helping their customers would do that. Anybody who really cares would try to actually do something about it instead of giving a reply along the lines of Well, its not my fault that I screwed up. Youre just a horrible customer. Please do come give me more money so I can screw you over again. Who does that? Id be willing to bet money that Im going to get some rude reply telling me all about how its really my fault that they broke my mixer. 0 stars

Took my air compressor in to have a drain valve replaced. I had the part, but thought it would be a bigger issue then it was. They fixed it right then and there and sent me on my way. The staff was very friendly and professional. I had a great experience and would recommend anyone to the mending shed for their repair needs!

I wish I could give the 0 star! I ordered a bunch of parts for my Kitchen Aid Mixer. I received all but 1 part. After 7 emails, 6 from me to them with no responses from Colleen, I gave up trying to get the part and had to re-purchase it from another source. Very disappointed, even after 3 full years later I havent heard a word and will never order anything from them.

I just went there for a furnace part - who knew they carried these? I was happily surprised. I know several family members who go to the Mending Shed for repairs. The only thing I wasnt elated about was the cashier.

Dyson had me take my vacuum to The Mending Shed last summer. They repaired it, then the day I got it back it malfunctioned again. I should make clear that the 2nd malfunction had NOTHING to do with the Mending Shed. It was a one in a million type situation where some of the electronics burned out. Took it back to the Mending Shed, they diagnosed the issue, ordered parts, didnt make me jump through the Dyson hoops, just fixed the problem. They were fantastic. I will be a customer of theirs from now on and would happily recommend them to anyone. Vacuum has worked like a charm ever since.

Terrible customer service. When purchasing items they told me that they were returnable. After the repairman trouble shot my dryer and fixed it without using the parts I purchased I tried to return them. Though unopened, they told me that they were not returnable. I now have a bunch of brand new, unopened appliance parts that I dont need.I guess they got their sales and thats all that matters to them. Ill be using another supplier from now on.

They had parts in stock for my 20 year old washer. I needed an additional part the following day and they didnt have it in stock but ordered it for me. It was cheaper than anywhere I had found online. It was suppose to take 2 days to arrive but came in the very next day. I cant praise The Mending Shed enough!!

The people at the Mending Shed can fix the things you thought no one could fix. We have used them for fixing a big clock, repairing a battery and charger on a Razor Scooter and finding parts for an electrical food service hot bix. They can do it all!

We brought our kitchenaid in to be repaired and heard nothing for a week. We called and were told the repair was going to be $190. We authorized it and a part was ordered--supposedly. A week later I called again and was told the exact same thing. Again, I asked them to please get the part and make the repair. Heard nothing from them all week. Called the following week and was once again given the same story. At that point we said forget it and picked up the mixer, having had absolutely no repairs. My husband found a video online, took the mixer apart, ordered the broken piece, and had it fixed in a few days (about a half an hour of actual labor) for less than $20. Wed used the Mending Shed before but are extremely disappointed with both service and prices this time around.

Have always used this store for my DeWalt tool repairs with excellent results, however I let the secret slip out and well now my wife loves the store for all of her cooking needs. If you need an appliance part or a part for your vacuum this is the first place to visit.

I dont write reviews that often but this one deserves a review. After being referred to the Mending Shed by my mother AND grandma for a service that they both had gotten done there before, I called to make sure they were still doing it. After I explained that my mother and grandmother had done it there before, very nicely to the lady on the phone, she became very rude and cut me off for literally no reason. Later to find out she was the OWNER. Not a great way to run a business and terrible customer services. I am still blown away that someone could act like that after talking to someone for literally less than 30 seconds for no reason. Will not be using their services any longer.

I will never go back to them and would not recommend this place to anyone. I special ordered a part for my washer they told me it had to come from China and would take 4-6 weeks and I had to pay upfront. Six weeks later I called them asking about it, I was told it was on as cargoship with no tracking and they would call me when it arrived... Every few weeks I would call and get the same response 3 1/2 months later Im outraged, I go in and ask to speak to a manager explain the situation she calls her distributor and is told the part was discontinued..... I went 3 1/2 months without a washer spent hundreds at a laundrymat just too find out the part wasnt coming. Why did it not reseve a phone call? Was the part discontinued when I ordered it? They do not care about there coustumers once they have your money. The gave me a refund but they didnt make it right. My biggest concern with the company is why did I have to contact the owner, why are they not following up on outstanding orders?

The Mending shed did a great job fixing my dyson. Dyson paid for the warrenty through them. But after reading the reviews and the responses from the mending shed mocking and insulting the bad review dosent seem to profesonal. Ill brobably get critisized from them too for speaking out, weather the customer was right or wrong i think it could of been handeled better. Like they said if you cant say anything nice dont day anything at all. Epecally for the world to see. Sometimes the truth hurts but I will be the one to stand up to a company bullying customers!
