I must say this location is not the same ever since Aries left this store. I’ve gone several times here this is like a second Home Depot employees don’t approach you they have to be hunt down just so you could get some help. Not happy won’t be coming here no more

Great hardware store especially if you want to avoid the big stores. They had everything I wanted and they were helpful unlike what you likely experience at HD or Lowes.

We worked with Ace Hardware through a business account for almost a year, our original sales rep would help us with our supplies needed at a discounted rate that was pitched to us for having a business, wow that’s great! Well!!! come recently we are issued a new business person Beth and says she can no longer honor this price, and proceeds to tell me that the prior business sales person was let go due to stealing from the company .....how is this our business or our problem? The director BILL calls me today that he is the one who said no to the rate we were getting and oh well sorry, we are the customer who has been providing business and loyalty to Ace Hardware and as a local small business and just basic customer service, you honor the price especially when its been for literally almost a year. Bill was talking over us and very rude and just condescending from the beginning. Save yourself time and avoid ace hardware avalon! There’s plenty of hardware stores and we do not recommend this location

Young lady was of great assistance and very knowledgeable in helping us fulfill our DIY list to include grass feed, stucco repair, wood floor repair and stucco washer fluid.

I went to your store to pick up a few things. 45 bags of mulch,gallon of paint,fuel mixer ect. I ask for the mulch to be loaded while I did the rest of my shopping. 30 min later nothing. I asked to speak to manager. Only manager assistant. No people skills. Basically blew me off. Said someone would be out when they can. At 40 min now. I was just going to put comments on our Avalon web sight about this incident. The store at first was the best. Now there terrible. Ps the paint I wanted. White porch paint. The guy didnt know how to make the color. I got a refund on the mulch and left to home depot .

So convenient to shop here. Love it.

The staff are vey helpful and knowledgeable unlike the big box stores, and they usually have exactly what I need (also unlike the big ones). The garden section is not great though and only a few of the staff seem to care about keeping their customers safe by wearing masks. Otherwise, Id give 5 stars.

I thought that I have posted a review but it appears it did not go through.Last week I ran to Ace with 3 parts from a bed rail assembly package that I received for my Mom who is 98 and two screws/washers that were too small.Ron helped me find the right screws with an incredible helpful attitude. He was not judging my ignorance and explained everything to me. It was only a $5. purchase but his service was a 5 stars worthy.After thanking he said if I had any questions to come back and if there was anything else he could do. I asked if he could put the 3 parts together and he Did!!!Ron you are a reflection of Avalon Ace Team. Who needs big box hardware stores? I will stay with my neighborhood @ ACE that makes me fill part of the community.Thanks again Ron you made my day!Nelly

Try to fill propane tank not only the price is a lot higher now you have to park your car go in the store pay for something you havent received yet go back to your car drive around the building wait for someone to come out to tell you they cant fill your tankt to get a refund. Drive back around to get on a line again to get your money back. Never again

Not worth the time. more or less a convenience store for hardware, go to Lowes if you need any thing. and the best part is if you find yourself where you bought some extra to be on the safe side. You can return it and not have to hear excuses.

I have never been to a store where they don’t match their online sales especially when no where on the website does it says it’s an online price only The Christmas lights I purchased were 20% on the website. The manager gave me only 10% discount and said that he couldn’t give me the online discount because when I order online, keep in mind I can pick them up the next day at the store, I pay them and not the store. Don’t know what he means by them but this is very frustrating. If I would have needed them tomorrow instead of today I would have gotten them for 20% off. Ridiculous!

They had exactly what I was looking for and were very helpful in providing guidance on how and when to apply the lawn care item.

My wife and I always have a great experience at this Ace. Everyone is quick to help, and if you need expert advice, it seems that there is no lack of people on the floor who have the skillset answers that you would be looking for.An older, very pleasant gentleman named Willie helped us today with our plumbing questions and proceeded to show us how to complete the task in store.

I frequent this ace and have no complaints outside of this Covid reality we are all in. 5 stars otherwise. But at this location there is zero social distancing by both employees and patrons, and this new reality requires warnings to other patrons. No staff is wearing masks or gloves, they are very helpful but do not maintain social distancing while walking the isles, the isles at this ace and most of them are very narrow. I have visited 3 times in the past two weeks for supplies on my land project but I can no longer go there because of other patrons not social distancing or the total lack of the use of masks. I use a mask and gloves and respect social distancing because I am mindful and concerned for us all. A patron literally stood next to me and proceeded to look for fasteners in the same isle I was in less than 6 feet from me, rather than waiting until I finished, all the while an employee kept offering help to that same patron. Another patron was talking about a discount on a return for over 5 minutes, not understanding vigorous conversation indoors releases a massive amount of saliva in the indoor air. I understand some folks don’t think this virus is out there and want to play Russian roulette with their shopping experiences but I will head over to the big box store until it is safer to use smaller stores like this. I have nothing against the staff or service, but no masks?

The girl at the counter was very nice and helpful. Got 10 bags of solar salt for my water softener and made use of the fall savings of $1 off per bag.

I often forget the Ace Hardware is closest to my house and venture to one of the bigger box hardware stores. That said, I have been to this Ace three times in the past week for various items and have had a fantastic experience each time. Much better than I would generally get at a big box. I will make Ace my first stop in the future.

I am reviewing the service department, onlyI brought garden shears into the tool shop for sharpening. A little thing. I was told it would be 3-4 days. 9 days later They were done.Big gouges out of the blade, and it still has a blade that is dull and unusable. It’s not the price, which would have been fine if the tool was sharp But as it is, the tool is worse than when I took it in.

They always have plenty of associates to assist and they always have what we need.

I was actually surprised. They had everything I needed, at the same or better price than L***s. BONUS : Staff gave me great advice, and showed me what I needed. From parking to shopping to checking out, I spent far less time there than I would have going to L s.UPDATE - Leaving this retail area takes quite a while, as the light does not stay green for very long, as there is far more traffic going in the other directions. I was only 8 cars back, and it took 3 sets of lights to get out; about 15 minutes. This is not Ace Hardwares fault.

It was worth the trip to shop at this Ace hardware location. Great selection, clean store, super friendly staff and the manager was very knowledgeable about the product I was shopping for. They offered free delivery to Oviedo for the heavy items!

I have been going to this ace for the past few years since I moved to this area, every time of which I was able to get a military discount using my Army issued CAC card. However, this last time around I was informed they no longer accept the primary identification card of the uniformed services that clearly denote which branch of service you are affiliated with, nor a Veterans designation on your drivers license, even though a DD214 is required at the DMV to verify your release of active duty. They only accept a VA medical card as well as a DD form 2 ID. This apparently was the decision of the owner, of which the employees have been apparently arguing against. I will be taking my business to Home Depot from now on, which actually accepts the US Military’s primary identification card.

Great place for staff who know their stuff. That actually surprise me every time with random things you wouldn’t expect them to carry. They are Stihl dealers. I went to get a primer bulb for a Husqvarna saw. Turns out they had a cab in the back area - were able to sell me the exact part. You pay a tiny bit more on a few items over box store, but you end up with good advice. Totally recommend them.

Small store but had what I needed

Owner/manager apparently doesnt take active military CAC IDs. Their posted sign shows only one veteran ID and one active duty ID, which is no longer in service. Yet the sign says veteran and active duty.

Horrible experience!! I purchased item August 28 For $2.99 came back 2 days later with original receipt and now they only want to give me 0.70 cents the item still unopened. Unbelievable scamming customers. Do your self a favor and just drive to Home-depot or Lowe’s.

A great store to get help and lost of great stuff I need

I want to say how immediate the response was from FRANK at the Avalon store location. Last evening I rented a pressure washer and when I got home to use it the 50 ft hose had a leak - needless to say I could not continue with my project. The first thing in the morning I received a call and an email from Frank that he would be bringing me a replacement hose and extend the rental time. This is what small business is about and Im glad to see a business like this in the community (this kind of service is much appreciated and that I hope other business will follow).Thank you Frank for your immediate response

Shopping here feels like going to a business owned by a close friend.

Employees are always super friendly and helpful...much prefer them to the big stores...they are truly helpful. I often have a random coupon most of the time they honor them.

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Frank goes above and beyond as store manager to assist his customers. The employees are just as helpful and very cheery for a retail establishment. Outstanding customer service!

Two reviews in one post! Five weeks ago it was Willie who stood out with his service. Based upon a phone call he pre-identified the Small socket head metric screws that I needed. When I arrived we went right to them. Fast and easy.Today it was Kaylee who located the narrow rope I need to replace. That too was quick and easy, however when I got home I did not have the old piece I was replacing, that I had taken with me. Called back to Ace Avalon and explained this to Kaylee who offered to look in the aisle I was last in. In ten minutes she called back to say she found the old piece, and told me she would hold it at the register for me to pick up.In these two incidents I spent a total of $4, but they treated me like I was spending hundreds. When ever I do need something that costs hundreds,I will purchase it at Ace Avalon because their service has earned them my business.

Had a broken key I needed cut. after wasting my time trying the regulars- lowes & home depot-, being told by their salesmen I need to try a locksmith or try ACE hardware. locksmiths are far and few between and usually expensive, so off to find an ACE! as fate would have it, I was in this vicinity and had been at this ACE hardware store before. I go in, its a friendly atmosphere and everyone is busy, but not too busy to point me to the key maker. after a moment, the sprite but senior fellow identify himself as the key cutter. I present my broken key and ask if he could duplicate my key, if he could cut it. he smiled and assured me he could. skeptical but hopeful I give him the broken key. the senior fellow tells me the key broke because its aluminum and brass keys are better! the key man fumbles with the half that tumbles the lock and affix it to his cutting machine and lickety spit! gives me a duplicate and assures me ill have no trouble. to the cashier, and the price is less than 2 dollars! back to me casa, to try the duplicate...PRESTO! works better than ever! thanks! to the local ACE, the helpful place!

Struck out multiple times recently at Home Depot and Lowe’s and Ace saved the day for parts that I needed. Not every time has been this location, just the most recent, but Ace deserves a 5 star.
