I just called to ask for prices and was hung up on. Ive heard great things about the quality of their hair - this place was recommended by multiple friends of mine. But if thats how Im treated on the phone for simply asking a question, Ill gladly go spend more money elsewhere. After reading the reviews, it looks like A LOT of other people have had bad experiences with terrible customer service.

Tons of items, well organized but the service is, to put it lightly, inexistent. I went in, went around trying to find the few items I was looking for and there wasnt a single person in there. It felt like a post apocalyptic store youll see in a movie. After five minutes of looking around I just decided to go. Still no one around.

I purchased a wig there and when I got home I noticed the tracks were coming out. I asked for a different wig, a refund, or store credit and I was denied all of it! This store isn’t what it used to be, staff and management is horrible.

Don’t go to this hair store. The customer service I received was horrible!!! The light skinned girl with the thick accent and extra long fake eye lashes has an attitude problem and made it seem like it was a problem that I was asking so many questions. I’ll spend my money elsewhere.

The young ladies who work there were very helpful and friendly. Im so used to workers being rude and ignoring their customers in the hair stores that I wasnt the kind of customer service I received at this establishment.Also, they have a huge variety of products/merchandise at such good prices.

The customer service is nonexistent!! I just wish I would’ve read the reviews before i spent money here!! I would rate a 0 if it was possible! Do not shop here if you don’t know exactly what you need. They will NOT give you a refund. Like they would kill someone before giving you a refund. It’s a big store but they don’t have a lot of variety or actually product. Don’t ask them to look in the back because they won’t. Basically you probably better off going anywhere else.

I went in to purchase a wig on Sunday December 23, 2018. I were in the store for about a good 45 minutes looking and deciding on a style. An Associate came over to assist me and my husband. At anytime did she mention the wigs were buy one get the other half off. The cashier did not mention it at time of check out either. I were always taught as both Associate and Cashier that you let the Customers know the Deals and Discounts that are available. I had know idea although the signs were on the end caps and sometimes hidden behind the wig itself.I was informed by my Stylist this morning that the wigs were Buy One Get Second Half Off! I told her I did not know that and the Store Employees did not mention that. I went back to Beauty Max this morning, December 24th to take advantage of the Second Wig Deal with my purchased packaging and Receipts..The Answer was NO It was to have taken place during time of purchase. I explained the situation, They did not want to hear it!!It is a shame how they take advantage of less informed people and keep information they should and are required to share with their customers to themselves to make sales.Now I missed out on a nice second wig at Half Price!! Yes I agree I should have payed more attention to the signs, but the Employees should have Pointed Out or Suggested to me the Promos as well.SAD😔Glenda

Im a licensed stylist of 28 years. Beauty Max is the ONLY supply store in which I continuously encounter extreme lack of professionalism! These Ghetto mannerisms are spiraling out of control! Beauty Max are you implementing any form of training for these individuals??? Faces are torn up with Attitudes as they administer your transactions and complete your whole transaction without a greeting. LOUD! Carrying on personal conversations with coworkers over customers!🙄THIS EVENING I WAS APPALLED! Im in the store shopping, at approximately 5:43 a security guy approached me and asked if I needed him to send someone to assist me. I replied no and continued shopping. The next thing was the loudest voice ever... Yelled throughout the store, that all registers are now closed! I then looked at my phone and it read 5:48 and the closing hour was at 6:00. I politely walked away from all of my items, as I was walking past the registers one of the staff replied, I told you that works(Yelling)!!! Wow unbelievable Mindsets! Then as Im getting in my truck, I witness other customers at the door. Going back and forth with the staff inside stating it was NOT 6:00 yet.You guys need to be very careful of how you treat your customers! If you guys close at 5:30 or 5:45. Please state that 👀

I went to the grand opening and this store started out great. Had a lot of potential. THEN the very unprofessional store Manager came along and I will NEVER SHOP HERE AGAIN! This store is new, has lots of great products and lots of hair options. The girls that work here are nice. But when you spend a LOT of money on hair, weaves, wigs, etc...like I do. I refuse to be treated like a criminal. This manager watched me, my daughter, and mom. I was planning on buying at least 5-6 wigs one friday night. However, because of his mistrust of black people and his treating us like criminals, I had to walk out!I would advise this business to close if they do not want to cater to the black community. They want our money but not us! They want us to spend our money, but not expect customer service or respect. I will not be one to support this business. I now go to Beauty Exchange or Elegance Beauty!

First time shopping here & im realizing they gave me the wrong wig after I drove two hrs away for the holiday to get my hair done. the tag n box it’s not what inside the box & I spent too much $ thinking I’m getting a human hair lace deepwave wig but received a non lace straight hair wig. Like fr n y’all got the audacity to say no exchange or refund on wigs this just crazy I will be there Thursday & hopefully the girl who gave me this wig there bc this not what I ask for. The staff is very unprofessional, including the managers they have on shift. I asked to speak to the owner about a concern about their policies that was not stated on the receipt and she continues to inform me that there was no way to get in touch with the owner. As a manager, how do you not have any form of communication, whether email or phone number, to get in contact with your store owner? I’ve been shopping at this store for over 5 years and the customer service gets worse every time.

I came there 15 minutes before closing time 8pm and the business had the doors already locked. When I advise them that it’s not 8pm yet they replied what do you want. Two minutes later other potential customers showed up and wanted to come in the store too. When they found the doors were locked early they was upset too. The employees inside the store just rolled there eyes at all of us. Wow, this is customer service, I don’t think so! How can you say as a company you close at 8pm but you closing early. you need to change your time. you can not be misleading to your customer. However i will not be coming here anymore.

This store use to be my top go-to store but the hair is over priced, they always have a low supply of makeup/lashes, they’re slow with restocking and the customer service just isn’t the same anymore! A very dry atmosphere! I was a loyal customer until today. I was told I had $10 to redeem by May 5th on my rewards card and they refused to give me my items that came out to $9.56. Honestly their competitors have them blown out of the water. Will not be coming back! Thanks for stealing from me beauty max!

I would give this place a 0 if I was able to rate it that low. My first issue is that the individuals working at the establishment lack knowledge of the beauty care items within the store. The second problem I have is that the owners are ripping off the customers within the community. I travel to the area, considering there isnt a beauty supply store conveniently located in my neighborhood. I recently purchased a human hair wig for 79.99, before taxes, only to find it being sold for 29.99 online with free shipping. Unfortunately, this place of businesses return policy states that there are NO RETURNS and NO EXCHANGES on the following items: wigs, ponytails, halfpacks buns, makeup, cutting tools, jewelry, color sprays, caps, sunglasses, undergarments, sale or closeout items. Pretty much everything thing in the store, despite the item not being used and unopened. I will never purchase another item from the store. After sharing my experience with numerous colleagues, associates, friends, and young ladies I mentor, they also plan on shopping elsewhere. I hope this review is rather helpful to others.

If you spend more than 5 mins in a aisle here the police aka the workers will start to harass you on if you need help. I just come here for crochet hair they have good prices on that.

Customer service is horrible! I asked to speak with a manager about a price that wasnt honored when I went to the register. I was told the manager was eating her lunch. I found the store owner who barely wanted to acknowledge he was the owner of the store. I showed him the price that was posted and told him that the cashier tried to charge me twice that amount. He said the price listing was wrong and proceeded to take down the price that was posted! I told him that I still expected to pay the price that was posted and he told me no that he took the price down. Like I said horrible customer service and dishonest business practices.

Their security guard was watching me from the second I walked in to the very moment I walked out. It makes absolutely no sense how they want black people to spend their money but wont let them shop in peace. The people that I actually needed help from werent even around to help me or offer assistance. The hair that they sell isnt even good quality. Not worth the money or the drive. Ill stick to Elegant Beauty Supplies from now on.

This place is listed on their website as well as Google and as well as on their door as closing at 6 p.m. I drove 30 minutes to get to this place and got here at 5:45 and one of the people was standing at the door and it was locked and she said we close 15 minutes early on Sunday. Very unprofessional. do not waste your time if they would be unprofessional about closing times while standing at the door who knows what other things.

They have lots of hair products for good price. If you have a gift card thats not under your name you will not be able to use it. Do not use your spouse credit cards without him or her being present.

As a licensed Cosmetologist that sends clients and assistants to this store on the regular... Disgusting. The store requires a receipt for exchange however their cashiers do not give receipts, instead they ask a customer if THEY WANT their change and receipt. A customer is due their change and receipt, there is no need to ask. If it wasnt right next door, they would not get a dime from me or my clients. The cashiers are young inexperienced and at times disrepectful. The bad customer service is do to poor training. As a Professional, your employees represent the company. The store needs to be staffed with respectful and customer service oriented individuals. IJS

With that being said, I think this store is very rude, disrespectful, uncoordinated, and non responsive.... today i asked an employee if they could help me find an item, and it took me at least 4 tries to get their attention before they finally replied. This place isnt concerned about customer satisfaction or abiding by the prices advertised on their price tags.The gel was priced as $3.99 (regular price not as a sale), but was ringing up at $6.99. When I brought this up to the cashier she proceeded to ask me did I want the product at $6.99, not caring at the advertised price. I explained I did want it, but at the advertised price and would get the price tag off the shelf. I walked back and had another employee witness the price tag and bring it to the counter for me. Despite that, they still did not honor the advertised price and while I was walking out told the employee not to place that price tag back on the shelf.

If the quality of hair was worth what the sale it for it would be perfect but they over charge for grade F hair but the employees are sweet they just want a job i understand
