It was a good selection of pastries, but I wouldnt go so far as to say great. The staff were friendly. They got us through the line quickly.
It’s a nice hidden hole in the wall spot (literally), but it’s your average pastries and coffee. Generally at Disney I say to not buy non Disney foods/snacks, since you can get them any other time... but coffee is the one exception. Disney does NOT make good coffee. Go to Joffrey’s or Starbucks- that’s why they have them. They know their strengths and coffee is not one of them.
Cinnamon roll was greasy, flavorless, disgusting, and almost tasted like they were using rotten, sour dough - I couldnt finish it. Family members quiche was good, however, when I returned to get one myself to make up for the nasty cinnamon roll, the man working the kitchen cut off the line for breakfast, even though the person before me had JUST ordered breakfast food and I had been waiting behind them BEFORE he walked up. What a hungry start to my day at Animal Kingdom. The only positive was that the service was fast and that the girl that took our order was friendly and helpful. Otherwise, I will not be returning. I should have just gone to Starbucks.
Great tasting bakery items. Honestly a little hidden gem in the middle of Africa. If you happen to be in the area, stop here for your bakery needs. The serves two cinnamon role was super inviting!
The cinnimon rolls are good but not very big. The quiche is very small. Do not expect much when you order food here, as all of the menus items are smaller than n they appear on the menu.
Setup is very basic, order your food at a podium, get directed to the counter to pick up your food, and there are several tables to stand at, off to the side. The area is designed like a Moroccan or other East-African market so its picturesque. Staff were pleasant and service was quite expeditious. So coffee was okay here, better than at the resort. Then again, we got flavored ice coffee. I got iced mocha, it was actually fairly good. My wife got a flavored one as well, but Im not sure what she got. After seeing a previous complaint about coffee, Im assuming hot from said review. I recommend getting iced. For food, they have simple pastries, and quite a variety. My wife got the cheese Danish, and she said it was quite good. I got a breakfast burrito. For the price it was hilarious small. But it had a mildly sweet/sour cheese that was moist and soft, either feta or ricotta (Im not sure). The scrambled eggs were fluffy, and had spinach and tomato. It was actually pretty good, and was filling enough to have a quick bite and be on your way to travel the park. I have the meal plan so price wasnt an issue for me, but for people paying for each meal it is a factor. This is a chronic gripe I voice, whomever reads my reviews, of the cost of food and drink in parks. It is par for course, doesnt mean I have to like it.
Good quick place there to get a coffee and breakfast. Not your typical food kiosk at the Disney park. Go to the dining area behind Tamu Tamu Refreshments for a good quiet eating area.
Coffee is always a godsend for a long disney day. Too bad hot drinks dont always mix well with hot summer days
