This was a nice stand alone shop. The owner was personable, friendly, and above all helpful. I think he said he opened his shop in 1970.He had the cable that I was looking for my CB radio and was helpful on answering my technical guestions.

I have been here twice. Good customer service.The reason for 3 stars is the limited selection. For engineers and makers who are used to Radio Shack, this store does not have the variety of components. I went in for really common parts and they didnt have them.They do have plenty of parts for home office or typical cables. Also lots of kids project kits.The prices are pretty high. I was willing to pay more instead of waiting for Amazon shipping. But without many electronic components in stock, I have to use Amazon anyway for much cheaper.If they stocked up their components significantly, Id go back for weekend projects.

SOMEONE ONE NAMED JOHN AT THE NORTH ORANGE AVENUE STORE IS VERY RUDE & PREJUDICE...I ASKED TO SPEAK TO SOMEONE ELSE IN THE STORE AND, HE TOLD ME, I COULDNT SPEAK TO ANYONE ELSE...HE SAID, WAS THE OWNER OF THE STORE & I WILL SPEAK TO HIM!!! I HUNG UP BECAUSE, HE WOULDNT ALLOW ME TO SPEAK TO SOMEONE ELSE AND, HE DENIED GIVING ME A CORPORATE OFFICE PHONE NUMBER...I REALLY HOPE THE CALLS ARE RECORDED...THIS MAN WAS SO NASTY & RUDE TO ME.....ALSO, I GREETED HIM WITH A GOOD MORNING & HE WOULDNT EVEN SAY GOOD MORNING OR, HELLO....VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Since I can’t give zero Star I’ll give one star ⭐️ against my will… this is the only store open in Orlando area and probably not for long… employee has no idea what customer service means… impatient to answer one question and clearly upset when you repeated your question because you don’t get a clear answer… so sad… and more upset when I ask for the price, he said: “the price is on the tag at the shelf”… I was trying to get faster but even if is much cheaper is better buy at Amazon because the rudeness attitude… I’m okay to wait for delivery…😷

Aside from the sheer nostalgia factor of being in a Radio Shack again, I bought some components I needed so I didn’t have to buy them online. They had components in stock that Fry’s didn’t and they are supposed to be a big box version of Radio Shack.I’m proud to support a brick and mortar electronics business, particularly one as storied as Radio Shack! I’m so incredibly glad to see that Radio Shack is still around. Will go again if I have the chance.

We went there today and there was a sign on the door that says you must wear a mask when you enter. The gentlemen working there was not. If you are putting up a sign then follow your own rules

Horrible service just came in to buy stuff and left because the old man had an attitude when we asked for a product. he also didnt wear a mask just held it in his hand while getting pretty close to us. i over heard him going to the back and cursing because we came in and hour before closing time. no wonder its going out of business.

While many electronics stores have disappeared, its nice this one is still around. I was looking for some smaller DC motors and they had exactly what I needed. Many stores have closed down or the ones that have remained seem to cater to low-cost cell phones and not electronic hobbyists.

This is no ordinary Radio Shack! This store is a fully stocked electronics store, and independently owned. I spoke with the owner and one of the sales associates at length, and they are extremely knowledgeable about electronics and all of their products. I havent seen a fully stocked Radio Shack in years, let alone one where the staff actually knew what they were talking about, and I was very impressed to find items such as Raspberry Pis and Arduino boards. If youre in need of electronic supplies definitely stop by here, you wont be disappointed.

The employees dont know anything about the products they sell. When the owner came to talk to me, he also didnt know about the products they sold. Anyone thinking of going here should go to Skycraft instead, the employees eat sleep and breath electronics.I felt not very welcome here. The owner was sarcastic telling me he wouldnt design me a circuit, which I didnt ask him to do. I simply asked, whats the difference between item 1 and item 2, both items carried by the store.You may know how to run a business. But you dont know how to run an electronics store. Lets see if youre still in business in 5 years with that attitude. I dont care that the owner dropped out of college, thats no excuse to not learn about your products. Im a business owner too. I also dropped out of college. I learn about the ins and outs of my own business. I learn new things every day. This is just laziness

Radio Shack store, having in stock those bits and pieces I wanted for home in the UK . Maplins, the UK equivalent dealers, went out of business last year so there was no more popping down to the nearest branch anymore, as there is here. Use it or lose it.

I went almost everywhere to find a battery for my phone, Wal-Mart, Batteries Plus, Best Buy, this other off the wall place I forgot the name of and Radio Shack was the only place that had it the the price wasnt expensive and guy that helped me was really nice!

Best service and parts of all locations Ive used. I have frequented this family owned franchise starting around 1977 at their original location in the South Side Shopping Center. The owner and staff are helpful and honest and often offer a wider selection of merchandise than other Radio Shacks.

The person who helped me return the items said there was a extra part of the return policy that was not listed on the recipient. He is an old gray haired man who had a general mean deminer.

Had to stop in for parts we needed ASAP for work and they had just what we needed and the service was fantastic. Stop by, very nice area with plenty of snacks to grab nearby before you head back to work.

Had a couple of great customer service experiences in this location. Needed a coax cable and a special adapter. Employee helped me find exactly what I needed and was real pleasant about it.This store is neat and tidy and has a lot of things on its shelves and its kind of big.. The Radio Shacks in the mall these days dont even compare to this place.Great location in SODO with their own parking out back.Plus... this is a locally owned franchise. I am in no way associated or affiliated with Radio Shack, but I have had such good experiences at this location that I wanted people to know.

This location does have a wide range of electrical components that are difficult to source elsewhere (other than the internet), but the prices for most products are quite high.On the plus side, the staff have been extremely helpful each time Ive been in, and they have an excellent discount program for local residents.

This is one of the few remaining places where people that is into STEM, DIY and the impromptus developers can find their stuffs and actually interact with a nice customer services.

The head expert is severely lacking customer service skills & his personal communication felt offensive to us... the other representative at least tried to help us but was ignored by the head ego trip boss who just seemed to ignore our needs. My wife, Tere Pizarro and me went today to this Radio Shack Store to get a battery operated fan and batteries for my daughter who is living in Puerto Rico which was devastated by Hurricane Maria and there is no power in the Island! We met Mr. Bruce who has excellent Customer service and got US what he needed and also showed us a Solar Charger for Smartphones and I pads which we bought! I also asked him for a Shortwave RADIO and he showed me one which I bought for $30 and is a solid performer! I could hear a station from Saudi Arabia loud and clear! There is another store in Clermont which we went on several occasions to try to find a connector for a HD TV antenna coaxial cable and a SW radio jack and in that store they told us that does not exist! We told MR. Bruce about what we needed and he got the connections we needed to connect the TV antenna and thr SE radio jack! Mr. Bruce has EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE and he is the best at his job! We will recommend this store without hesitation! In our opinion this is the best store in Florida and around the world! We give Thanks to God for giving us the pleasure to meet this professional!

I’m sorry I drove all this way to first find the front door locked during business hours. Then they “customer service”Rep did not want to test plugging by saying, “you should know what you need or have before coming here.” That why I went to the store in the first place, for help! And just to add his attitude was pretty bad.
