I had 3 different companies come out, Baxter windows and doors being one of them. Out of the top three they are the ones who stood out the most not just their prices but with their hospitality. Nathan came out and didn’t pressure me into buying anything extra that I did not need. He actually did the opposite and helped me decide what to get, gave some advice on certain styles but all in the end he was never pushing to get that extra $. It was like talking with a family member. Super helpful, available almost all the time and never hesitant to answer questions. The installation the windows was quick. They had said it would take 2 days to install all 13 windows. They finished it all in one day. I was shocked how fast they did the work and just because it was fast doesn’t mean their quality suffered. Each window looked perfect, they made sure the area around the windows were protected and cleaned after. Very professional and courteous. If I can give more than 5 stars I would. All the employees I spoke with were amazing. Thank you for the amazing windows.

I took almost two years to make a decision on getting new windows. After 3 estimates and grueling sales tactics and sitting through heat lamp presentations I was ready to give up. I decided to give it one more try and met John from Baxter to get my estimate. No games or gimmicks. Knew his business well, very professional and easy to discuss the job with.The price was great by comparison to the other estimates. Just got done last week. Alex Gui and Eduardo did the installation over two days. They were awesome craftsman. Care was taken with every window and trim work as well as a difficult balcony sliding door. After looking at reviews and considering several window companies, I chose Baxter Windows and Doors. I was very happy with the staff who were patient with me. I am sure they considered me high maintenance but they were always polite and helpful, and extremely responsive to my questions and design changes. The installation crew was efficient and cleaned up after themselves. Nathan, the owner, called to ask if I was happy with the windows after they were installed. We were pleased with the process and will be ordering from them again when we replace windows in the future.

I was very impressed with this company! My elderly dad has been struggling to remodel his house for a while now and I found out about this company from a friend of a friend. From the first initial phone call, we felt listened to and taken care of. They were so helpful every step of the way, going out of their way to accommodate my dad (he can be super picky). We had 8 simonton windows put in, and the finished result looked fantastic! Everyone we spoke to was so kind, and any time we called with an kind of concern, they sent a rep out right away to take care of us. Will definitely hire again when we’re ready to do the doors. 10/10 would recommend!

We had received quotes for our front door and just the windows for the front for now trying to do a summer time makeover. We chose Baxter because of their reviews. They weren’t the cheapest but not far off of the others...about in the middle of other quotes we had.The rep told us that the windows had an “extended lead time of 8-10 weeks. We got the windows in 6 which was a nice surprise. They started yesterday and finished up today. I can’t say enough. Words can’t describe the transformation. They crew was super nice, clean cut and respectable. They cleaned so well we didn’t have to do anything. We called the rep up late today and told him to come back. Now we have decided to not wait and finish everything. We can’t wait. They even completed out Duke energy rebate form. Wow.

They did a 1st class job of replacing our front door. During installation some of the concrete facing next to the door on the outside was damaged. Nathan, the owner of Baxter Windows & Doors LLC, personally came out for the estimate and ran through our options from cheap Home Depot doors to hand carved mahogany. We decided on some mid tier doors. Nathan gave us a timeline of the second week of September. They ended up installing the doors during third week of September(today) citing that the door to my garage wasnt normal and so a custom door needed to be ordered.Lucy/Lily? at the office called the day before to confirm the installation as well as the morning of installation to let us know the installers were on their way.Jake and Sean got in around 9:30am, worked straight through until 2:30pm when they finished up. About halfway through the install, Nathan the owner, stopped by to see how everything was going. The 2 guys were very professional and efficient. They answered my questions and even had some helpful tips for future projects. There is only one small crack on the inside of the trim of the door. I plan on just putting some wood putty in it, sanding it down then painting it anyway.Overall, I am satisfied with all the work done and will update if anything changes. After first impressions, I would not hesitate to call them again.

Read all the reviews and decided to go with them on July 8. Took a week for the sales person to send me the contract. Told me it will take about 6-8 weeks of receiving windows. Haven’t heard of any update ever since and when I reached out today (Aug. 25) they said the ETA is *November*. No one bothered to let customers know and just have them sit and wait? Maybe they don’t care because 50% of the contract price is already collected. This company doesn’t care about their customers and can’t keep their promises. So disappointed.

Most trades are backed up and behind with COVID issues but we were promised faster turnaround with a more expensive window (appox 3-4wks) and it’s been 5 months. Numerous calls to their office asking for a simple status with no callback or updates.

We needed two doors repaired (with one possibly needing to be replaced). Additionally a sidelight window next to one of the doors and a center window within the other door both needed to be replaced from single to double pane glass. I first called a large national name brand door and window maker. They sent a sales rep over and he quoted over $4,300 to replace both saying they dont do repair work unless its on theyre own name brand doors. I next called Baxter Windows and Doors. Nathan came over and said that both doors just needed some rehanging and replacement of worn out parts. He said replacing both of the windows was easy to do as well. Total for both doors and windows was $1,500. I could live a lot easier with that. Plus he said that with a little luck, hed have the windows in within a couple of weeks to do the work. And he did.On the appointed day, Nathan and the other installer Juliana showed up right on time. They worked diligently and professionally and did a great job! Why on earth did I somehow think that I was going to do this work myself someday. Theres no way I could have done anywhere near as good of a job with the doors as they did and I certainly could not have changed the windows out at all. This was money well spent for work from an excellent company.

Nathan and associate came out to measure to replace a rotted window on my historic home. They were professional and knowledgeable, suggesting a good option that ultimately didn’t work out because couldn’t get an exact match. We opted to have the window taken out and repaired in order to keep the historical integrity of our home. I was in need of 3 new french doors and did a lot of reading and research on-line of local businesses. The reviews for Baxter obviously caught my attention and after I got quotes they were also highly competitive. The owner Nathan came out personally to double check dimensions as I tend to worry about those things quite a bit as the doors have to be custom made. Long story short Nathan was extremely knowledgeable and responsive and the installer Riley was also punctual, knowledgeable, and got the job done in exactly the time frame they gave me. Baxter Windows & Doors performed a whole house window replacement last week. My experience was positive throughout the entire process (quoting/installation/inspection/follow-up). The windows brought new life into my 1950s home. My Florida Room, in particular, feels noticeably cooler in the brutal summer heat and the windows have already proven to be solid and leak-free, standing up to a typical summer downpour earlier this week.

Sent my 1st email to Baxter Windows and Doors on Saturday 1/18/20 and didnt really expect a reply until Monday. They replied to me later that night and we had an appointment set up to come out and measure for Tuesday. I really appreciated how well they stayed in touch and how well they worked to get to my house as quickly as possible. I am now happily waiting on my 2 doors.

It took 3 calls to get a response. When we finally set up an appointment, their rep showed up 90 minutes late. He didnt listen to anything we said, and kept showing us doors that didnt match our requests.

Received a quote in May for 17 windows, 2 patio doors and our front entry door. Their price was about in the middle of 3 other quotes. Why I chose Baxter was the salesman used no sales pressure and the entire appointment was only about 45 minutes. I order with them 1 week later. They just finished the installation today. The rep, Nathan, told us to expect 3-4 days without rain. We had rain lol however they started Monday and finished on Thursday so, exactly as he said. The crew cleaned really well and...WOW. Speechless. We still can’t get over it. It is a new house now.

Just had 5 windows and an entry door installed. Everything was wonderful, from the sales experience to the installation. We got three estimates and decided on Baxter because of their superior ratings. Really glad we did. The installers were on time, very professional and thorough. Cleaned everything before they left, and even pointed out a tiny flaw in one of the screens and said they would replace it. I might never have noticed it. I would definitely recommend them.

Before you sign a contract ask them how they plan to cover up the screw holes in the window frame, and make sure you get an answer in writing. They did a great job installing the windows but as they were packing up to leave I asked about the uncovered screw holes and was told, we dont use the factory provided screws so the caps that would cover the holes dont fit. I have been trying to work with them, I think we found a workaround, but in the end they shuffled me off. Also make sure you know what their version of a Completion of Work form looks like. I signed an untitled page that I thought was a Workers Survey (were we courteous, did we clean up...) that they used to bill my credit card for the balance before I considered the job complete.Response:More double talk.1st I have talked to the window manufacturer (located in Florida) and they told me 1. that their windows do meet Florida Code 2. they do not provide screws, they are at the discretion of the installer and 3. they do provide caps that cover the screw holes that do not interfere with the sliding windows. Please feel free to dispute the manufacturer.I was never informed of the issue of no screw hole covers. In fact the sample window that I saw during your sales pitch didn’t have any exposed screws.The covers that you are saying I installed incorrectly were handed to me by your workers and I was told after the inspection if I wanted to put them in I could. Two exact same size rectangular fixed windows, I was given 8 precut strips. 7 went in perfectly the 8th was cut 1/2in short and left a gap. Try again…I finally came up with a compromise for the screw holes after finding some left over Trim Tape that you use for finishing windows. You agreed that it would work and told me I could come by and you would give me some. The next day while in my car heading to your shop I called to confirm that you would be there and that I could get the strips and was told “nope” now you didn’t have any. You graciously gave me a link to the Trim Tape providers telling me to go buy it on my own. However they only sell it in 200ft rolls ($153.00), I only need 20ft to fix the 11 windows you installed.“Consistently went our of our way to accommodate you??? I have every email, text and picture I sent to you and I know you do too. I also have the Completion of Work Form that says the trim work is not complete. I just needed 20ft of this tape that would have cost you $15.30, that I was willing to come get and install myself, and we would be done, but you chose to have a dissatisfied customer instead.

We have a 1950 home with original windows. They are tricky to get out to say the least. The installment team was on time, efficient, and detail oriented. I first made contact with Baxter Windows & Doors about 2 months ago. They came out and provided a in home quote and were extremely informative and answered all the questions my husband and I had. We had two other companies come out so we were able to compare the products and services with cost of all three. My windows were installed within 3 weeks and closed off with a passed inspection with the county! On April 27th Baxter salesman John Dileo came to our house to give an estimate for replacing 4 French doors and our front door. All seemed well, the company has great reviews, we liked the products and John seemed knowledgeable about them. He gave us a verbal estimate for the French doors that was in the range we expected. He said he would email us the catalog of front doors later that day so we could pick out exactly what we wanted, then we would get a written estimate for the entire job. We never received the email. An email to him on 5/1 making sure he had our email address correct and requesting the catalog was unanswered, as was a call. The next week a call to the office requesting he contact us yielded no results. We still have not heard anything. We had been considering replacing these doors for some time and decided that during the economic hardships caused by Covid19 it would be a good time to support local a business, but apparently this company (or at least this salesman) isn’t interested.UPDATE: He did speak to the owner two days ago. The email from the sales rep was in the spam folder, it had not been sent until 5/5, which was a day after he stopped looking in junk after checking daily from the day the rep came over on 4/27. It only had the complete estimate for the French doors. We still hadnt received the catalog for the front doors, but my husband received an email and spoke with sales rep John after the owner called two days ago and asked for it again, and John did send it. My husband had surgery yesterday, so we will look through the catalog and decide how to proceed once he recovers.

Baxter did an amazing job on my old house. We had lots of rotten wood and no company wanted to deal with. I will change my front door and I will hire them again

We received several estimates to replace 11 windows in our home, and Nathan was the most professional and knowledgeable. Baxters installer, Eric, did an excellent job, and cleaned up after himself each day. He even cleaned the windows when he was finished! There was only minor touch up painting needed, and no stucco work was necessary when the job was completed. We highly recommend Baxter Windows!

This is not a review from a customer’s standpoint but from a former door and window installer.I retired last year, I found myself a wee bit too old for this type of physical work.I have a neighbor who knew I used to do this type of work and he had asked me whom he should call.We sat in front of my computer and we went to the Baxter Windows and Doors web site. We clickedaround their web site and looked at brochures etc. While we were doing this, I was telling him aboutthem. When I started, stuff I did there, product types and more. I can honestly say that they really docare. Baxter Windows is very pro-active.I had started working with Baxter about 7 years ago. They were relatively new and I really had a lot ofinput with their growth. I’ve seen the “behind-the-scenes” more so there than any of the other localwindow/door companies that I had installed for. There are some really cut-throat companies aroundtown; they don’t pay on time, buy cheap products, no service etc.Showing and talking with my neighbor brought back some interesting memories. When we finishedchatting and going through their web site, I told him I would call the owner Monday morning and givehis info. This was about 3 weeks ago. His windows (12), and rear sliding glass door aregetting installed this next Wednesday, Thursday and probably half a day Friday. He asked me to hangout and supervise while they do the installation but, I found out, the guys Baxter is sending this week, Itrained lol. So, maybe I’ll walk over there anyway, if he has the grill fired up.

We have a vacation home we didnt have too much time to have the job done, since we dont live in US . They installed the doors in 3 weeks . Nathan was great. He came over and showed me all my options for replacing my French door. He actually talked me out of replacing my entire French door unit, side lights included, to just updating the hinges and adding new blinds insert. This was a shock as prior installers told me there was no other way to update/fix the doors other than replacing the unit. Nathan took a look and noticed my hinges were off and suggested replacing all of them, balancing the doors, and adding the new inserts. Not only are my doors now functional, they look absolutely amazing with the new inserts. The best part is he helped me save over 2k. 😁

I called Nathan, owner of Baxter Windows, on a referral from another contractor of mine. I was desperate to find someone who was able to be punctual and actually follow through on commitments after a horrible experience with Window World. Nathan was more than punctual, he was friendly knowledgeable and extremely professional. He always contacted me back within 24 hours and never once missed a scheduled appointment.I had originally requested that a glass block window be removed and replaced as well as the two half round windows, but Nathan took his years of experience and expertise to explain that it was not cost effective for me to have the glass block removed. He advised, based on my goals, that I should just stick with the two half round windows instead. This was a major thing to me because it said to me he wasnt just there to take my money. He understood that I have a goal with this house, and that the glass block window is functional - it wasnt a necessary expense and he didnt try to sell me on it just for the extra money in his pocket.His quote for the windows was as expected for the size and complexity of the job as well as the grade of the windows I elected to have. The windows were ready to install even a little sooner than he had indicated to me, which was extremely impressive since he knew I was in a hurry.He and his assistant arrived promptly at my home on installation day, and worked quickly and efficiently to get both windows installed. Great company to deal with. No sales pressure and good customer service. One of my windows came with a glass defect and they did not charge me for the remaining balance till I had the problem solved. I will defectively use them for my other rental houses.
