I have 2 AC units. This is the third time Ive had to call on service in the past 8 years and once again this company exceeded expectations. I was very impressed from the start with A-1. The scheduler on the phone was very good, and when the time for my appointment arrived, the owner of the company was the one who came to do it. It was just a routine annual check and tune-up of the central air conditioning unit of the house we had just bought, but as he said, he likes to get acquainted with his new customers. I am not suggesting that the owner will be coming to your house, but I am suggesting that this is a company where the owner continues to be involved in every aspect. He took a LOT of time to go over everything about the unit with me, describing its condition in great detail, sharing the readings of his tests, and recommending possible future work on the registers (vents) in the house to improve air flow and efficiency, and thus cut the cost of running the unit. I was extremely impressed with the owner (Keith), and will certainly recommend this company to anyone looking for air conditioning, heating, or duct work.

Cant say enough about the service from A-1...! Our A/C system was knocked out during a lightening storm. We needed an entire new system ASAP. We called several places recommended by friends. Recently bought my home and the unit was replaced in 2014 and this is the first time I needed assistance. Wasn’t sure what to expect when they showed up but when they did they were on time, knowledgeable, and professional. I have dealt with other ac companies in the past and always got the feeling they were trying to Upsell and take advantage of me. That wasn’t the case with these guys. I didn’t get the technicians name but they are now my go to ac company here.

We cant say enough about the service we received from A-1 Heat & Air Conditioning. They came out promptly and diagnosed the issue with our 11-year-old Heat Pump. Keith, the Service Manager, was very knowledgeable and helped us with the decision to upgrade to a new York Affinity Heat Pump which was more efficient than our old system. Two days later his team installed our new system as Keith discussed without any issues. Outstanding service and price! Mason, the tech, got a 40 yr old geothermal unit working which they originally installed back in 1980! He was very courteous throughout the 100 questions we had. GREAT COMPANY! You dont find this kind of customer service these days, especially in the Orlando area. I had A-1 diagnose and repair an issue (cracked tube) with our air conditioner last February, they were quick to respond and the technician explained everything so I could understand.Then, yesterday our AC started blowing hot air...again. I thought this sucks and its gonna cost me another $900. I called and spoke to Keith and he let me know that if the repair failed, they would stand behind it. I had no idea what was wrong, I figured it was something else. And I actually didnt think this type of repair would be covered.They sent Mason out within hours and he inspected and diagnosed, and fortunately for me, it was the same spot...not sure if the tubing cracked again or if it wasnt 100% the first time, but that didnt seem to matter - he repaired it, had a second tech come out to clean it out and recharged the entire system (and the refridgerant isnt cheap). When finished, Mason told me to have a great day....Im about year or two out, but guess where Ill be buying the replacement AC!? AND, this is why I used A-1 instead of some guy working out of the back of his truck...a real business is there when you need them. Thanks guys!!!Steve

Angelo Delacruz was my serviceman today and I was actually impressed. He was very thorough with checking my unit and successfully changed the fan motor with zero problems. This guy was very friendly and I ended up learning a bit about my unit and the way it works because of him. Lila was very accommodating on the phone and had Asher and Steve on site within a couple of hours. Steve and Asher found the issue with our old unit and repaired it for $600. Another company had been out the day before and quoted a compressor replacement of over $3000, for a working compressor, as it turns out, and tried the hard sale on a new unit. Florida is tough on AC units, I get it, but Steve and Asher really focused on the problem and not the easy way out. Our old unit is still old and we are going to buy a new unit through A-1, after Summer, simply because they treated us right and honestly. Bravo Zulu A-1!!

I loved the Maytag that I had one installed for downstairs and did fine. We had some problems with the upstairs unit; A-1 stood behind their work as did Maytag and got the problem solved. Horrible Service the main lady at the call center has a bad attitude horrible costumer service skills When they Arrived, it was a technician in training, that was more nervous than anything. They told me they had to order the fan n wait for it to arrive. Everything was working fine before they switch the fan. Once they had the fan in their storage they send a different Tech . once he finish everything the Ac worked for 10 minutes so he left. long story short! they made me spend money on a fan and burn my motor .. We just had a brand new 16 Seer system installed by A1 Heat and Air. We got 8 different estimates from different companies, big and small (yes, EIGHT), after spending many days reading reviews, complaints, specs on all the systems and manufacturers out there. A brand new AC is an expensive investment, and we wanted to make sure we got someone who would do a good job. I checked online reviews, and they were not all positive, but sometimes when a company has a ton of work, they will get more complaints, and A-1 have been in business for a lot of years. Also, happy people often dont remember to write reviews (guilty), because they are busy.THESE GUYS ARE AMAZING! From the salesperson, whom patiently answered our questions (for hours and hours, where we learned how we managed to blow up the system we needed to replace), to the installers, who went over and above to make sure they were thorough with every part, and that we were happy with the system, to the very reasonable pricing, I could not recommend a company more. A VERY deserved 5 stars!!!

We have been customers of A-1 Heat and AC for about 30 years. That should indicate the quality of their service and products. Last year, when we needed a new air conditioner, they were prompt and efficient in installing it as well as in providing necessary information. We plan to continue using the company for years to come.

This company is the worst. We paid them alot of money to install two ac units and they damaged our ac closet frames. It has been since June 9 and they refused to take care of it. Please do not buy their Daikin ac unit they promote. In my opinion its garbage, doesnt cool properly and very noisy. They were so nice at the beginning on the installation once they finished two weeks later of installing both units. They refused to return our calls about the damaged and in an email. They said its wear and tear but it wasnt there in the beginning. They left scrapes, tears, and black spots on our walls, doors and inside the closets. Also, they removed the vent cover and damaged it. We are so disappointed in this company. Do not use them.

My mother paid A-1 to install an A/C unit in her home, but also informed Mike that she was going to expand the home in the future. We showed Mike the contractors plans and explained to him that our current square footage was 744 sq. ft. and that wed be expanding the home another 700 sq. ft. for a total of about 1,500 sq. ft. My mother specifically asked for a 3.0 ton system, however, the vendor explained that a 3.0 ton system would cause too much condensation in the home which would lead to bigger issues.Having learned this information, the vendor recommended a 2.5 ton system. They also said they would build a bigger enclosure for the new system to be installed. A-1 also mentioned something about a $500 rebate (since my mother chose a larger system for $5,040, rather than a smaller system for $4794). We never received instructions on how to process the rebate.The home expansion took some time to begin, but we contacted A-1 on August 19, 2018 to verify that we had the correct system installed in our home (because the contractors needed to know in order to proceed with construction). After two days of messaging and calling A-1, one of the vendors, Keith, came to our property. We showed him the contractors plans that were posted outside, and he saw that the expansion had been partially built (block, partial roof, etc.). He looked at the contractors plans and ensured us that we had the correct system installed for our needs (a 2.5-ton system). He stated several times in those 15-20 minutes he was at our home that we did not have anything to worry about and that he would draw up a summary stating that we have a 2.5 ton system so that the contractors could proceed with construction. He also ensured us that if the county didnt believe that the plans were correct, they wouldnt have stamped them for approval. At the end of his visit we thanked him because we felt relieved that he came and verified we had the correct system installed, a 2.5 ton system for 1,500 sq. ft.On September 4, 2018, he finally sent us an email, but it was not for a summary of what he stated he verified the day of his visit. It was for a quote to install a 2.5 ton system (file attached), which also includes duct work (which our construction contractors are responsible for--and the construction plans already indicate the duct work to be executed--Keith saw all of this and even mentioned, oh, see, your contractors already have the duct work planned too, like theyre supposed to. The quote is for roughly another $5,000.We were surprised to have received a quote, and for the past few days, weve been trying to get more answers from Keith and Mike, another vendor, and even the owner. Ive asked to speak with the owner to no avail. They lowered the price of the quote from September 4th, but they are not recognizing that this was a huge mistake on their part. We feel neglected and not heard, but most of all we feel misled and lied to.We have told them that we do not expect to not pay for their labor, but that we need an adequate system installed as soon as possible so construction may continue. It was their responsibility to install the correct unit from the beginning (July 2017).We are extremely disappointed by how this situation has been handled. Weve never wanted to argue with the company, but they misled us, even after knowing about the added square footage since last year, etc.Unfortunately, to move forward with construction, my mother had to pay the contractors roughly $3,100 for a 3.0 ton system, since now that construction will be done, the system wont cause any unnecessary condensation, etc. We never received instructions on how to receive the $500 rebate from A-1 Heat Air Conditioning.
