Ive rented from this location before, and Ive worked with U-Haul at other locations countless times.I can honestly say that I wasnt really looking forward to dealing with who would be helping us get a trailer picked up for a last minute job today, but I can say that was a completely incorrect feeling.From the very first question I asked him, to having his help and attention when returning the trailer in the rain - Tamir was the pinnacle of an individual with a great attitude, knowledgeable, and helpful.Ive hitched up a ton of trailers, and his job was impeccable. Chains with great twist and the right drop, had the wiring ready, and he checked all the lights and safety systems - its not just knowing what to do, its taking the time to do it right, and he did.He made the whole process so easy - that moving a new dining room table in the rain was actually pretty enjoyable. I drive around town looking for quotes for hitch installation and out of all the uhaul locations this one had the best service... Dennis explained how the process works and all the different hitches best fitted for my vehicle... Taylor went above and beyond to located the hitch needed for my vehicle at another location and bringing it to her store for installation.... Everyone was super nice and very friendly and helpful...

I can’t speak to the negative reviews, but I’ll tell you, after a 1200 mile trek from Austin to Orlando, these guys were great. Had to push my reservation date back a day: no problem. Needed a 11am check in instead of 9am: no problem. After looking at the space we originally reserved, realized the space was too small: they took us back, found a larger unit, no additional charge. Honored the one month free for long distance, one way.They were busy and they have a TON of trucks in the parking lot, but the staff was helpful and pleasant and the indoor climate facility was well kept and easy to maneuver. The only issue was that the cargo door at the end needs repair
This experience was easy going. From the front to the truck and even to the movers. Majestic movers are the best. Loaded the truck in less than an hour with a pass over stopping them for a few. It was Jacob, Jared and Ju their dad (if I can recall that assist us with loading and I returned the truck a little after the time to make sure I don’t be charge extra for the day and they were able to honor it.Great staff! Keep em all thank you, once again
Everything was great: clean van, van was easy to find, price was good. Contactless check-in was fairly smooth. I had to go inside to get the blankets, dolly and keys. Was hoping the blankets and dolly would have been in the van ahead of my pick up time. Irregardless, shop employees were professional and friendly. Shop was clean and orderly. After hours turn-in process via the app was easy. Thanks for exceeding my expectations.
Horrible Customer Service from Ms Omega Wilkins, at 11815 East Colonial Dr. Orlando.You are better off taking your hard earn money and business to another U-haul location at 508 N. Goldnerod (5 miles further west).Worse experience ever, after driving 1,000 miles from PA, Ms. Omega denied me my 1 month free 10x10 unit, which came free with my truck rental, and I had already reserved. She tried to say that her location did not participate on the free month program.I got on the phone with traffic, and they asked to speak with her on speaker phone. Ms. Omega wouldnt even consider it, and argued with the person on the phone that her location does not grant the 1st month free rent.After a half an hour later of me being in her show room speaking with corporate, then she said shell give it to me.I told her to keep it, I no longer wanted her business. I could had spent that time off loading my goods, buy no, not here. She was never cordial and very unprofessional. First impression getting to Orlando.
I have tried this place 3 time and everytime the failed me. Twice I made confirm reservation and when I arrive the had no truck available. One time I got to the see them give away my reservation to somebody else and when I asked them why they did that they said to leave. This location lack on customer service and decent decency for human beings. To fellow university student do not trust this buisness you are better finding a home depot truck or going to the other local uhauls.
I have some general questions about my reservation. I have been trying to contact the Alafaya & Colonial in Orlando FL and I have had no answer. I have been calling since 1pm today and yet no response. I also looked up the customer service number (which is completely different) and still no answer. No matter which number I call or which prompts I dial I get no where. This is the WORST customer service I have ever received from the company overall. Communication plays a big part in business and overall UHaul as a whole lacks communication. God forbid there is any discrepancy on my end I would bet my dollar someone would reach out to me to disclose any extra charges. Absolutely not acceptable.
Awful. I called to reserve a truck under my name, I picked it up myself, paid for it with my card, gave them my license, and the guy behind the register placed it under what he assumed was my boyfriends name. My boyfriend never spoke to him, and his name wasnt even spelled right, and customer service was very rude to me and yelled at me when I tried to get the rental changed to my name. It feels really unprofessional to put my card info under a random name. Also, they add an extra dollar as an administrative fee to every toll you take, since I wasnt told that before using it, now you know. But if you pay in cash for each toll, apparently they wont charge you. Im trying to dispute that charge, and was told I would get a call back. But Uhaul is so nice that they resolved the complaint without ever contacting me, not that I got any money back. Ive been dealing with customer support for 2 months now, save yourself some time and go with a better, more legitimate company.
It doesn’t let me give 0starts but this place is the worst U-Haul I’ve ever been to. I tried to call about my reservation and no one could help me, the guy literally answered the phone and said “there are no U-Haul people here today” mind you I called the store. Charged me more than what they said and had to call corporate, this place is a joke
I wish I could put no stars this place is so bad. Called in to ask the price for keeping the truck two hours longer, got told 3 times that they would not charge extra but when I came in they charged me 40$ more and would not believe me about the call. Whatever I pay, only to get double charged and be in the negative with my bank. This place is not worth the hassle and the company sucks.
I made a reservation online and when I went to pick up they told me that the reservation was not there that I had to wait for them to call me 🤬
I cannot speak highly enough about the manager here, Joshua Reny, or his staff. I made reservations on line for what I was told were two large indoor storage units. In short, the on-line person I spoke with lied to me and told me there were two units available when there was only one. That for me would have been a catastrophe had I not decided to check in early and also rent another unit just to be sure I had enough space. Upon checking in by phone I found out only one unit of the size I needed was available and that was all that had been reserved. To make matters worse, it was a busy season and units were in very short supply. I then drove to the facility, stressed out and not sure what I might be able to accomplish. As soon as Joshua was made aware of the situation he recognized and acknowledged the stress I was feeling. He apologized for the problems created by the on line call taker (a problem not of his making and over which he had no control), dropped what he was doing and gave me his undivided, attention. He sat down with me and a list of available smaller units that, combined, might provide the space I needed. After we worked it out he gave me the first month free and then gave me a tour of each unit, even putting the locks on for me. Joshuas understanding, coupled with his professional, calm approach and strong desire to accommodate a customer in any way he could, served to defuse both my stress and my anger. THIS is the sort of manager every employer in the service industry should look to hire. I hope U-Haul area supervisors are paying attention. Joshua is an employee I would be promoting at first opportunity! I would also like to note that, although on this occasion I did not have much interaction with other employees, I have in the past rented a trailer and bought packing supplies from this store. On each occasion I received prompt, courteous attention from everyone with whom I had contact. The same holds true for the limited contact I had with another employee on this occasion as well as the interaction I observed on this day between the employees and other customers. Good job, Alafaya, all around!
I went into the store yesterday because after searching online for options, I could not decide what trailer size was best for me. The customer service I received was awesome! The person helping me was glad to walk me to the parking lot to show me the different sizes in person. I asked him to take a quick look at my hitch to make sure it could pull a trailer and he let me know what maintenance was needed and offered to take care of it while I was there. I feel a lot better about using the trailer for my first time and am so appreciative of the help!
Hitch Installation went great. Uhaul has this down to a science. I schedule it online and paid for it. Dropped the vehicle off and picked it up tow hitch install. The gentleman I worked with was easy to work with and friendly. The process couldnt have been easier. Paid a third what a dealer would have charged.Thanks
Went in to rent a trailer, 1000am Sunday 16 Aug. Forgot my mask, was asked if I had one, said yes, I then asked I have to wear one but you dont? He told me if I am going to argue, get out. Not sure how this place remains in business. Customer service representatives are also rude and difficult to work with. Wont be using this location in the future.
I just went to rent a truck and the manager (a lady) told me they cannot accept debit cards anymore, only credit cards to rent a cargo van. But not only they denied me to rent with debit card they also tried to steal from me. They game me a truck with a number tha didnt match the truck on my receipt. The truck was with half gas tank. I didnt realize until I left the store. When I realized what happened i only was 3min away from the store but it took me a long time to get back because I had to pass on 4 lights and the waiting was long. She argued with me that I left the store so they have to charge me the full amount $82. I responded to her that i just left and there is no way i will pay full amount. The thing here is: make sure the truck number match your receipt, the miles that is in the truck match your receipt, mark any little scratch on the truck in the paper, dont be distracted. Something its not right with this management. I have been renting from this store for more than 10 years and nothing like this happened before. I will definitely not coming back.
Approximately a month ago I had a hitch installed in my vehicle at the U-Haul located on South Goldenrod. Ever since I had issues with the wiring shorting out. I took my vehicle in to the Alafaya Tr and Colonial Dr location and spoke with the manager, Josh. He looked at the wiring and noticed it was installed incorrectly and apologized on their behalf. He could have just sent me to the other place to have the problem corrected, but instead he offered to fix it himself. I was very pleased with the professionalism and willingness to make it right. This is a great example of great customer service.
The staff is nice enough, and some are actually pretty great at what they do. However, the seemingly dozens of trucks in such a small space make for a difficult time picking up and dropping off, especially on the weekend. Dont expect to leave your car here. Parking is incredibly limited.
My favorite Uhaul location. Joshua the manager and Chris have been prompt and courteous for the multiple times Ive been there. They once helped me think of options when the Uhaul call center messed up, and everything worked out. Every time Ive worked with them its been a smooth process!
For the price, it was fair. The staff seem cool. The only thing was the guy forget to mention the surplus charge when I was renting out the vehicle, and I was charged twice as much when I returned it.
I was all stressed out by thinking about my move, to the point of tears, by the time the boxes I was buying were carried to my car. Even though he had to deal with a crying lady, Mike (Michael?) was very helpful, kind, understanding, supportive, and patient. The last time I moved was a very good experience at this location as well. Thanks guys! You do great!
I wasnt renting, my friend was. Though he seemed to get a proper price, the place was setup horrible. It was very difficult to get in and out of the parking lot. And they use some tricky procedures for the daily pricing. If you rent for 6 hours the price is the same as renting for 24 hours but if you commit to the 6 hour time frame, youll get changed more if you go over. Also, if you rent the blankets in the store its $5 but if you use the ones on the truck, it is $10. Just tricksters... as most people are I guess.I will give them credit for one thing. My buddy rented an appliance dolly and the strap was cut. They drove out a new dolly to the house. BUT even though Im giving them credit for bringing the new dolly out... they should have never put the broken dolly in there in the first place. It was an add on thus they put the dolly in the truck real-time.
Great little uhaul. Great service. I was in and out quickly. Especially one time when I rented a big truck and another time I was just returning moving blankets and they let me skip the line. Just the other day I rented a trailer for a local move and it was a large one and only cost $30 for 6 hours! They let me pick it up early too. Staff were courteous and professional. The location is hard to get to from my home since its on a very busy intersection.
Showed up to pick up my truck as scheduled and was told the system was down and getting a truck was impossible. Had family that traveled all the way from Miami to help move for the day, but tough luck for me! Guy at the counter was also visibly annoyed with the situation. Could have at least contacted customers with reservations to let them know the situation instead of wasting their time.
This place is an f-ing joke, you cant even leave your car there to rent their vehicles, you would have to park your car at somewhere else, not a good way to do business. Not to mention arrogant workers. Never coming back
At first all seemed good I rented the unit on January 8. But I moved out of my unit on January 23 and even took the time to tell the manager Randy that I had emptied my unit. I asked him to look at it. He said someone would get to it. Well now it is now 14 of February and i keep getting emails saying I need to pay my storage. Its sad. As they have to only get up off their ass walk across the parking lot and go see the empty unit. But instead I am getting emails to pay like I am some kind of a dead beat? I say NO NO NO. Please top emailing me for money I do not owe you. Please get off your dead ass and go look at my freaking unit. And stop trying to play computer genius and go see for your own damn self!!!!!
Do NOT go to this location, or go at your own risk!! Tried to get a van from here, only accept major credit cards. Then go for the 10 ft truck because we could use debit. 4 times we had to go back because the lady was giving us the run around. Friend used his card, manager said it didn’t go through but he got the notification that it did. So she swiped his card TWO MORE TIMES!! Don’t worry she says it will fall off when the hold is taken off. IT DIDN’T! All 3 transactions posted, he went negative and she says it’s the bank he needs to talk to. NO. That was U-Hauls error, never should have posted. Especially since she said none of them went through. We never did get a truck, all we got was a huge headache and wasted time.
I watches assistant manager driving recklessly a pickup truck then jump in a van and run it right into the pole at check out stand then when I told him I was reporting I was told he could do that because he and the manger are best friends for years I hope he doesnt damage truck I rented because I was already check out by a girl b4 this happened so dont try to go blame me for anything because Im reporting you... you definitely shouldnt be driving anything you said you was gonna quit you need to driving in damaging vehicles like that hopefully customers arent getting blame for your damages
Would give zero stars if I could. Rude customer service. They screwed up but did not care. When manager was finally called he was on speaker phone and his response was that he was too busy to deal with it and hung up. Jorge, the counter guy didnt even care that UHaul customer service was telling him that he was wrong and he still refused to fix the problem.
Never have them install a trailer hitch on your vehicle. You will have to go to a mechanic afterwards and spend hundreds getting the electrical fixed. They installed a trailer hitch and then rear lights were not working. I brought it back and they insisted that it was faulty electrical on the car even though everything worked great before they touched it. They are not certified mechanics. Best advice: buy the trailer hitch and take to a mechanic to install.
So they didnt explain the refueling policy to us. The girl looked like she was new and still learning the job. Thankfully Ive rented uhaul before and know that if you dont fill the tank to where it was when you picked up the truck, they charge a $30 fee on top of everything. So just be aware of that.
If you have any other means of moving your stuff, do that instead. These guys have no idea what theyre doing. My girlfriend scheduled a uhaul pickup at 8. We got there at 8. Found out they dont open until 9. Called customer service about it, at which point the customer service rep blamed my girlfriend for not cross-referencing the businesss open times with the available times for uhaul pickup? Because its apparently her fault that their web developers couldnt design a website that properly synchronized available pickup times with their businesss open times. I imagine thats also the same thing they said to the other three people who also did the same thing and got there even earlier than us.Then, when we did eventually get into the store, we were told that there would be a utility dolly and blankets inside the truck. Got home to find out that wasnt true and had to drive back to get one. Also couldnt leave immediately because they gave us a truck behind another truck and we had to go back inside to find someone who could move the other truck out from in front of us.With how bad everything else was, Im half surprised the truck didnt spontaneously burst into flames, but at this point Im betting that was more dumb luck than it was by any effort of the stores managment.
These people seriously told me that I had to park at the restaurant next door because my 15 min parking spot wasnt a parking spot and to top it off they didnt give equipment that I reserved for. There online app says no lines and hassle free and yet you still have to wait in line to see a representative to finalize. Ridiculous.
Poor experience. Charged additional for gas when I returned with more than what the contract stated and had proof with photos which they said didnt apply with timestamp. Also charged for additional mileage which I was allotted additional 40 due to the inconvenience of the original pick up location. All they kept saying was I got a good deal-- so because of the good deal apparently its okay to charge extra and to make up for the good deal?! Wow talk about thieves!!!!
Female manager was super rude and pushy. Also very condescending only two good employees are the ones actually moving trucks the rest need to be fired. Also watch out they hit the trucks together when parking them so dont leave your car in the parking lot and put down and damage before to avoid getting charged.

Had a trailer hitch installed at this location. Recently I found out that the trailer hitch was supposed to be installed with two bolts on each side. Instead, they installed it with one on each side, which is unsafe, especially for heavier tows.
We skipped on renting from this place. Right off the bat we had issues because they have almost no place where you can park but theres no signs to let you know. You also cant park your car while renting so you have to go to a different lot and then get your rental. I cant say its all their employees, but the ones we talked to were terrible. 1 star review is too high for this place.
The place is clean and everything seems to be in an orderly fashion. That said, it is overwhelmed with rental trucks and trailers. Almost impossible to drive up to your unit. Dangerous to navigate around all those trucks and other rental equipment that is all over their yard. I reserved an outside unit with drive up access, and luckily was able to drive up to it 2 out of 3 days that I was there. Yes, you read it right; three days and I was heading the heck out a there, yes. The icing in the cake was the dictatorial attitude of the manager and how I percieved in the short time I was there how he intended to run things ( that is, with an iron fist, so to speak). Needles to say Im a much happier camper down and just around the corner in the Public Storage place that is withing walking distance of U-haul East Berling... Go and see Sheena there. Shes a sweetheart and a very knowledgeable professional at her trade. You will not regret it, honest.I wouldnt go back to that Third Reich U-haul place for any money in this world and I strongly suggest that you steer clear off it too.I was not going to rate this place at all or review it for that matter, but I owe it to you my fellow readers and consumers so that you can make better choices ( especially when it comes to where we spend our money).Sorry Mr. Adolf U-haul, but you left me no other alternative.This Mr. Is the US of A, the greatest country in the whole wide world and people like you give the American citizens a bad reputation and that my dear sir is totally and completely unacceptable by our standards...I heard say that they are opening U-hauls dealerships in Venezuela, Somalia and even Syria. We made a reservation online a few days ago for a 10‘ truck, but when we came earlier today they said there was no 10’ truck available, and no larger ones either. No one called earlier to notify us! The staff just relocated us to another uhaul store 20 miles away! That means we need to pay extra 40 dollars. However, according to the website, the reservation we made must be fulfilled at this exact location, otherwise uhaul will need to pay us 50 bucks back. The staff was extremely rude and did not give us any chance to explain the situation. So we called the customer service and they said they could rent us a larger truck at this store at the same price. We went back, but the same staff from earlier told us we need to pay $10 more for the larger truck!! It was not that we did not have the 10 bucks! It was her attitude that made us extremely uncomfortable!! I would give 0 star if I could.
Fast and efficient checkout and check-in process. There is no parking so you will need a ride. The truck I rented was clean and in good working order.
This was our third time renting from this particular branch. Theyre always great! The agent, Clark Cepeade (I hope I spelled it right) was great... He truly understands customer satisfaction! I I have and would surely recommend this Branch to others.
This Uhaul location served me right. I had to return a Uhaul moving truck after moving down from Jacksonville and even though I had the Goldenrod location set as my equipment return location they accepted the truck with no issues. The return process was very speedy and all clear and there were plenty of workers available to help out.
If I could give zero stars I would. They hitched our trailer incorrectly and it came loose while we were towing our car on the interstate. We didnt pay $400 + to have the equipment installed wrong. When I called to complain about what happened they didnt offer any kind of compensation. I wont ever use u-haul again and their lack of concern for their customers safety is honestly scary.
Horrible place. They rig their odometers. From my driveway to the corner of my block, it registered that I had driven 2 miles!!! For half a block!! Also the other truck had the gas gauge wrong!! They said it was full but there is no way that I could have wasted so much gas for the quick trips I made!! They need to be reported to U-Haul corporate!!
Called several times to talk to someone about having our hitch repaired, and they didn’t care to call back. Then read a review that a customer’s hitch wasn’t installed correctly and they had it dislodge their load while on the highway. Now trying to find any alternative to U-Haul. Perhaps they’re understaffed. If so, your cheap owners need to pay for more workers. You’re losing business!
Front loader LG washer and dryer were stolen from my storage here a few years back. Im only doing the review now because I need storage again, and i recalled this incident. The insurance didnt cover it because there were no signs of forced entry, leading me to believe it was an inside job.
I went to 11815 East Colonial to pick up some moving supplies at the time of check out I was told that whatever boxes I didnt use I could return. They never mentioned anything about a receipt or anything like that. I went back today to return some boxes and they told me they needed a receipt for the return. I am beyond aggravated with their return policy. I will never purchase or rent anything from a uhaul again. Completely disappointed. Thanks for nothing.

One of the worst customer service experiences I have encountered. First off, the truck barely started everytime. Thats fine. I can deal with that. I rented a 15 trailer and a transport trailer. The trailer was supposed to be ready at 7am yet it was not. I was assured that the trailer was there and waiting for me around 12:00. It was not... they then proceeded to send me to another store to get a trailer and was told I would not be charged for the mileage. I was...Randy is the manager here and he is incredibly unprofessional for his title. I watched him degrade his employees in front of many customers for not writing my contract correctly. It was ridiculous. I will never rent with U-Haul again nor will I reccomend them. Worst experience ever. Hopefully I have steered a potential customer into (bare minimum) another location.

This place is one of the most insanely unorganized spots where you cant even figure out parking or anything! Getting the truck was a mess too! We go outside and cant even find the employee who set it all up. Finally i see him and walk over to the truck. My truck was completely scratched and bumper all ripped. I took pictures of the car prior to leaving the lot! THANK GOD!!! I got home to load it up and notice the right back tire was completely flat with a giant hole! I look back to my pictures and it was like that when i left the lot! So now Im stuck with this flat! Ive waited 2 hours for the uhaul service person to come fix this tire. Its been HELL! Never get a UHAUL!
Horrible! Use a different rental company uhaul does not care about the clients. We returned a rental, relized within 15 minutes that we left something valuable in glove box. I contacted the assistant manager was honest, we were 5 minutes away, they stole the valuables out of the bag, and gave us the bag with the other items. She came from a parking lot where her car was parked to retrieve the bag. A not so smart, thief. Corporate has done nothing, police are investigating....UPDATE uhaul CORPORATE could care less still no phone call,.. This took place at Uhaul moving and storage of Alafaya. Orlando 32828
Good service, but was given a truck they knew was having battery problems. Took it out n went to get something to eat at Taco bell almost next door n truck turned of in parking lot n would not start. So I wasted alot of time walking back to Uhual.
Horrible parking lot, so mismanaged, received a bad truck and they knew it, and didnt take it out of commission and didnt inform the poor guy that rented the truck, to us .we had it fully loaded they had to call movers to exchange trucks, which will take 3 hrs to exchange it!!! Delayed the move by 5 hrs, this place takes on more then I can chew, its 7pm and the movers that they got off the internet, didnt know them, they just threw our belongings in without a care, the general manager, Josh is a liar all he wanted to do is go home and the assistant manager, she needs an attitude adjustment, and she also needs to stay off her PERSONAL phone while there is customers in the store, uhaul corporate office has been kind but say their hands are tied, whats that supposed to mean, theres a reason why they have a huge turnover with employees, it so mismanaged!!! Horrible experience, we were done packing at noon, but had to sit around at uhaul till 8pm

They reserved for me a 10x10x8 storage unit that, on the day of my reservation, ended up not actually being an available unit (hadnt been for a while). I had to go to a Uhaul 30 minutes away. Waiting for them to fix their mess cost me three vital hours on the only day I had to move. At the end of the day, when locking up, also discovered the truck wasnt provided with a lock. No safety, dependability, or accountability. Waste of time and money with this Uhaul location.
I would never go back here. It took 2 hours to get a UHaul trailer attached to my truck. When I went into the office to pick up my reserved trailer, somehow they didnt pull up my existing contract and started a new contract, which made me lose a $50 incentive for dropping off the UHaul trailer at a location requested by UHaul when I made the reservation online. I called the UHaul corporate number about it and they never called me back. Then they hooked up a trailer that did not have functioning lights. So they unhooked the trailer and then had to figure out which of the only 2 remaining 6x12 trailers left they would hook up. They almost hooked me up to the most conveniently placed trailer, but then realized it had a blown tire. So the last available trailer was behind another trailer. After moving the trailers around, they checked that the lights worked, and then the hooked up the trailer to my truck. By the time I got home, the movers had already been at my house for 30 minutes just waiting for me to get back from UHaul. I had no idea it would take a full 2 hours to get a trailer. This location was super unorganized, took 2 hours to attach the equipment, and ended up costing me $50 and said they couldnt do anything about it. I would never go back here.
Rough and exhausting experience. My boyfriend booked a Uhaul for 1:30, and they originally sent him to one of the neighboring partners of Uhaul. (Basically their trucks at other locations). He gets there at 1:30-no truck. Okay, not the ladys fault. She called they guy, he was sketchy and didnt get it back on time. She kindly arranged for him to get a bigger truck at no additional cost at a different neighboring location-and sends him off. He gets there and it is literally abandoned. Its a sketchy gas station. Lights are off, doors are locked, there is nobody around. He calls the lady at the Uhaul he just left and gets no answer, so he drives back yet again. He tells her what happened and the poor lady has zero idea whats going on. She calls some sort of higher up and then after 30 minutes sends him to this main Uhaul location. Hes now been to three different locations to get a truck. He gets it and we do what we have to do. We go to drop off and it is COMPLETE CHAOS. The location absolutely cannot handle the amount of activity going on. Its pouring, the parking lot is completely full of trucks, there is nowhere to put them, nowhere to move them, and a line of 6-7 trucks trying to get in backed onto the MAIN ROAD. Colonial is a busy road. To make matters worse it is absolutely pouring and there is only TWO PEOPLE working. These poor guys. Working tirelessly. Working so hard in the pouring rain, drenched, with a smile on their faces to every customer. Truly felt bad for them and how understaffed this place was. The only reason I gave this rating two stars were for those two men. They were literally playing Tetris with the trucks, trying to check all the people waiting out and find a place to put the vehicle. Our car was completely boxed in by trucks and thank the lord one of them helped us get out after we waited so long dumbfounded in line as to how the hell we were going to drop this truck off. Just a very poorly run location. Posting pics.
Avoid at all costs, lie about per mile prices, forceful sales over the phone, long wait lines. Consider this place a last resort
This place is terrible, the workers dont know what hell theyre doing, worker standing in front of costumers arguing. the manager Andy has a nasty ass attitude, and Rod Baldwin the marketing manager is a racist. And needs help with his anger . Rod told me to shut up. After I congratulated him for working at uhaul for 34 year ( I wasnt even being passive ). This place is a POS. Lol. Lawsuit in the works. Smh this place needs to a whole new staff Micheal and one other guy are the most helpful. If I could give this rating a -2 I would.
Place is very poorly designed, getting in and out of the place is miserable when busy. Also the truck rented, i am surprised made it the few miles round trip without breaking down.

Have gone here twice now to get our propane tank refilled and both times none of the three employees could figure out how to refill our tank. Awful service with the three of them laughing and spending 15 minutes trying to figure it out before we finally said forget it. Wish Lovelace was open more hours on the weekends - thats the only reason we tried here a second time. Never again.
Used this place twice now. Everytime it has been a quick and painless process.
The service is excellent and they have everything you need for moving
VERIFY THE FUEL LEVEL. EITHER THEY RUN A CROOKED BUSINESS OR THEY HAVE TERRIBLE EQUIPMENT. They told my attractive young daughter who rented the van that the tank was full but didnt ask her to verify (no initials by the gauge/meter paperwork) and then I came up to drive it for her. We traveled 23 miles, verified by the starting and ending mileage. The truck was on 7/8 of a tank and I put in 7.5 gallons of gas and the fuel gauge didnt move. When I asked the assistant manager how many mpg it gets in the city he said 7. If the tank WAS full when I picked it up then the avg mpg is 3.06 so I insisted the fuel gauge was broken and the same manager insisted it wasnt and was unwilling to credit anything back to the card used for the rental of the truck. If the fuel gauge isnt broken then their trucks get horrible gas mileage; way worse than they advertise. If you have other options for renting, dont go to these guys. :(
Went to rent a trailer and an employee with a really bad attitude whom was already arguing with another customer was asking us to park at another business because they had no parking and because we parked in front of one of their trucks like we always do he threatened to have our vehicle towed. Was very rude and not very customer friendly.
Dont store items here. But if youre only using the trucks, then the service is pretty good.
Keep coming back great customer service and always inventory stocked..why go any other place. :)

Staff is very rude on the phone when they dont understand your needs, one way trips are more than 3x the in town rates added to the $1/mile and full tank of fuel charges. Throughly disgusted with this business.
Extremely disappointed in the managment at U-Haul Moving & Storage 11815 E, Colonial Dr. Randy Gerorge (Randy who is black)who is the current manager to date is an unqualified, ignorant, RACIST who has absolutely NO Business managing a store and its employees and should be fired on the spot.

We rent their biggest truck for 2 days, and before returning time mike called me and said i need to return the truck in very rude and unprofessional way .at the return checkpoint, the staff were rude too .. something wrong with this place..
They had no trucks except for the smallest ones. The staff are also really pushy on getting insurance for the trucks.

This location is ok and the staff is friendly. The only reason I dont give it a 5 is because it is so inaccessible. It only has one entrance through Colonial and since the parking lot is usually crowded with trucks its very uncomfortable to drive in and out.
Aside from the parking this location is great
Lairs. tell you one thing then say another when other staff are around . . The staff have no idea what the hell they are doing, commonsense isnt so common with this location . talking to market manger is no help hes a racist prick .
