This was my first time visiting this location because Ive just recently moved, but I am absolutely going to be coming back! I called and got an appointment for an oil change scheduled for the very next day, and they had lots of availability, especially for a weekend. Shortly after dropping off my car, I got a call telling me that my oil plug was totally stripped and unable to be removed by their own equipment. But by the time I made it to the location to pick up my car, the technician explained to me that they were actually having a tool sent over from another place nearby that could potentially get the plug off! He warned me, however, that it wasnt guaranteed to work, but promised to give it his best shot and he really wanted to help me out as much as he could. He walked me to the garage and showed me the issue himself. My oil plug had been left completely stripped down to a smooth state by my last servicer--there wasnt anything to grip on to whatsoever.A little bit later, I get a call from them again, and they were able to get it off! They were also able to replace the old plug with a new one for me, so that I didnt have to worry about this again in the future.The people here were so kind to me! The man who helped me was super nice and easy to talk to, and went above and beyond to help me out. Not only that, but the entire process only took two hours, so I was able to get my car back quickly despite all the trouble! I will absolutely be taking my car back here again. So when this place was NTB and the door manager was Ernie they provided solid work and competitive pricing for me at least. So I thought I would try them under new ownership. I had them put 4 tires on my 2012 Chevy Malibu at $118/tire and two new from hub assembly. They told me a price over the phone but their loud shop, soft voice and bad phone connection I couldn’t understand them that well. Cheap hub assembly for that car are $36 a piece so I thought that’s what they said. Well I get a receipt for $1800. The $137 wheel bearings weren’t That big of a deal. Then lying and saying they cost $190 at their cost and the mark up they so generously provide themselves ended at $360 a bearing. I went to the same advanced auto parts that they get parts from and asked what the price was for the exact part number. Not only did they lie saying it was $190 instead of $137, but they charged me $360 a piece. $1800 dollars for 4 tires and 2 low grade wheel bearings. After Micah gave his BS opinion and said I have to make money. They finally comped them $100 less a piece. So 4 tires and 2 bearings was $1500 and some change. Price gouging at its finest.

I became a customer of This location a few weeks ago! I highly recommend, Very friendly and knowledgeable Folks. Troy was amazing! He helped get me the best deal on 4 tires. We came across a couple other issues in the middle of changing my tires but he was able to arrange a few things and help me figure out the best possible route to take to solve the problem without spending a whole bunch of time or money.

Made my appointment online, and was able to get in same day. Had my oil changed, tires rotated and TMPS reset. Troy took care of me and had my car in and out in less than an hour. Second time I have came to this location to have my service done and they have done a great job and was done very quickly both times now. He had even found me a 15% coupon code they had active! Highly recommend.

What a bait and switch joint. Want high pressure sales, this is your place. We had a brake line fail on a work truck. We had it towed here because it was closest. They tried to sell us new brake rotors for ones we just replaced. Then it became wheel bearings that are just fine. They tried to sell us for stuff that was just fine. Then they quoted $427 for the work and tried to charge us over $650. Thank god we had the text to prove it. Never going back. If you dont know cars and trucks, dont go here. They are out for your money, not your continued patronage.

Went in before a long drive back to texas with as slow leak after being turned away from another tire place. They were extremely kind and got it taken care of super fast!

I was at Mercedes having a service when we notice a bulge on one tire. It was recommended that I replace two tires. I had such a great experience at Big O a year ago I decided to leave Mercedes and go to Big O on 151st St. in Overland Park. Travis was very helpful, measured the tread on my tires (the car only had 26,000 miles on it. Tread was still great so I replaced one tire, he ordered it and called the next day for installation. I was in and out in minutes. Everyone there was very helpful, friendly and efficient. Great Experience.

I am a regular customer of the Big O Store on 151st and Metcalf in OP KS! They have regularly provided great service while working on three of my vehicles. However, on Christmas Eve Day, this year, I have to say it was maybe the best repair visit ever! Troy greeted me and handled all scheduling, repair and close out like a pro. I have the benefit of meeting the mechanic, Mike, who did an excellent job on the work. They were in the Christmas spirit even though they had to work and I appreciated their professionalism and care!

Not all Big O Tires are created equally. After a terrible sequence of experiences at another location I was VERY pleased with the team at the Overland Park Big O Tires off 151st Street. They were VERY professional, knowledgeable and friendly. They were able to diagnose and correct the issue I was having and got me back on the road in no time. Asst Manager Mike M. At the 151st and 69 highway location Searched for over a week for the load rated tires I needed for my trailer. He put them on in the rain as it could not be put in the bays. I had them look at my service van at same time. Mechanic Mike H. Did a thorough inspection and Explained in extreme detail everything that needed to be done. He did a great job on my alignment, front shocks, ball joints and The heavy duty brakes that he recommended for my van are awesome!! They stop that service van fully loaded with the trailer fully loaded On A Dime! In a span of a few weeks after I’ve had my wife’s and my son’s vehicles worked on. Manager Rob J., Sales rep Lora T. I have to say that this Big O tires has really turned things around . I had a couple bad experiences in the past under different managers. Once Travis took over (I think he is the manager) they have impressed me to no end. He and the rest of the staff have been so kind and accommodating. So far as putting the car on a lift and checking an issue I had at no cost and finding me a better deal to use for my oil change which saved me money.I work just yards from them and have even sent an elderly client over when she had something stuck under her car. They were so kind and removed the item (which turned out to be a dorm fridge door!) at no cost. She is also now a regular client of theirs. I cannot say enough good things about them now. I have been very impressed with this transformation. Thank you so much Big O of Overland Park!

I made an appointment for an oil change and tire rotation. I am positive that the tire rotation was not done. I had a vibration in my front left tire and figured it was due to mud or a wheel weight falling off. Figured I would find out when it was performed, The vibration remained in the same location. I have a 2014 Ford F-150 with 52,000 miles, The tires only have 23,000 miles on them so I am pretty confident that they were not rotated. The cover underneath the truck that protects the oil pan and other components fell off as I was driving home, This is something that is removed to get to the drain plug and filter. It is a heavy cover. People make mistakes but dont try to blame it on the parts when you were the last one to touch it! It never came off before, Coincidence I dont think so! They did pit it back on but it was just the hassle of going back and waiting for it to be done. The guys at the front desk were wonderful, too bad the technicians cant do their job. I will never go back and neither will anybody that I can tell about my experience!

Had to go here after my tires blew out nearby. When I returned the next day to get my car taken care of, the worker in charge there, Travis, was very helpful and transparent. Staff was quick in assessing and completing my auto repairs. Glad for the help and that I ended up at a decent establishment.

Long time and regular customer from when this location wore the NTB badge. Bring my vehicles here for fluid and tire service. Theyre professional and prompt; I would arrive at my scheduled appointment and wait in the shop for oil changes, tire rotations and be done in 30 minutes tops. However, my latest visit left me feeling very different. They had a young, hardworking kid attend to my vehicle this time; was in training, 3rd day on the job. I expected service would take longer, but also that they would have supervision/help/coaching available. Took a looong time to get oil changed and tires rotated, over an hour and 45 minutes. I also remember in the past theyd start draining the oil while they swapped the the tires (to give more time to get most of the old stuff drained out), but not this time.Seems coupons/discounts arent offered/same frequency like before, and their list price for service topped what Id pay at the dealership.

I appreciate that they sold me the tires I wanted without a bunch of pressure or up-selling to buy something more expensive. The work was done quickly and they let me know when it was ready to be picked up. I was there twice in two weeks and both experiences were good. I now consider it my go to place for future tire needs.

I was at another local tire store for service and was told it would be hours before my car could be looked at. I drove to Big O and my car was looked at immediately. Unfortunately, the required tire size was not in stock. They were ordered for delivery later in the day. When I returned, my car was again taken immediately to the shop and serviced quickly. Great service, great technicians, and reasonable prices. Highly recommended.

My daughter and I came to you for an estimate on an oil change for her Jeep. She did a lot of comparisons while talking to three other companies. All three of the the companies took advantage knowing this was her 1st experience with a oil change. Their prices were outrageous and their recommendations for other services was ridicules! When we talked to the fella at Big O, he was upfront, honest and respectful with her. She had her oil changed at the Big O location and I can not thank you all for the wonderful experience she had with you. We did not receive any service from this place and there is a reason why. While being over an hour away from home my dad got a flat tire. This exact store was practically in the same parking lot we were in. After multiple failed attempts to release the spare we went to Big O Tire to see if they could assist us in any way. They were approachable at first but were unable to do anything unless we tried to drive it over. We asked if they had any air bubbles or a way to air up the tire so we could bring it over and they were unable to help. Understandably my dad was frustrated but no frustration was ever directed at the guy behind the counter, just the situation. This is when the lack of professionalism really showed. The guy began mocking my dad and asking him if he had the equipment to air up the tire very sarcastically. I immediately wanted to walk out but my dad overlooked it and continued cordially. We left after deciding they would be of no help and no further escalation took place, but I believe that is only because my dad chose not to react to this rude guy. So I will give a two only due to the turn around at the end without further issues but to the man who decided to take someones bad day and add to it, well done on losing your company any possible business from my family or friends.

This is the first time I’ve taken my 2002 car in because the engine light was on and Troy, who was very courteous and personal, tested the car and reviewed the need for an oil change resulting in no charge to get it checked out. I highly recommend Big O Tires at 151st and Lowell and I highly recommend Troy.

I had a tire that was losing air. Big O Tire (Travis) took me right in, they found a screw causing the problem, repaired the tire, and sent me on my way to work in a very timely fashion. I would highly recommend the Stilwell, KS Big O, especially if you are a female needing honest vehicle/tire repairs.

I was charged for a battery of $129.99. I was charged a labor fee of $67.50 which I find highly unusual. In past no one ever charged me a replacement for so absorbent. I have always taken regular oil.......I was not asked if I wanted Synthetic oil or EVEN if they were replacing my oil w Synthetic. I feel I am owed money back. This is ridiculous with all the kits, labor charges....poss top of line PARTS where the parts taken out being replaced with same would have been great. Not real happy about this visit.

Excellent experience! I unexpectedly ran over a wheel weight which caused a big hole in my tire. I had both of my children with me and Big O Tires was the closest shop to where I was. They met me out in the parking lot and helped me right away even without an appointment. The service was quick and they had tv for my kids to watch while I got a new tire. Very thankful for the quick service and help. Definitely recommend!

Big O is irresponsible and in my opinion unethical. I will not trust them with repair/service again.I have patronized Big O twice ... the first was for a routine oil change (December 2018), where they told me the cranking amps on my battery were very low and that it needed replaced. I went out and bought a battery and didnt have the time to install it right away ... well months have gone by and the original battery is still firing while the new one I bought sits in my garage. The second time my wifes car with tires less than a year old had a flat. They called to tell me it was irreparable and needed to be replaced - quoting me the price for a new tire. Thankfully they didnt have the same tires in stock so I took it to another tire store (competitor in the area). They checked the tire, fixed the tire and didnt charge me a dime for the repair.Big O is 2 for 2 in trying to sell replacement parts for something that did not need to be replaced. Not only would it be a significant cost to replace a battery and tire - but it is a huge cost to the earth in not fully utilizing the products.I will say it again ... Big O is irresponsible and in my opinion unethical. I will not trust them with repair/service again.

Staff was so helpful and great about getting me in right away once they found out I was hitting the road for a 10-hour drive and needed a tire checked/fixed for safety. They got me fixed up in no time and there was no charge!

They were awesome! I searched for a place all over the area who could mount and balance 2 tires as 2 of them that I had on there were horribly bald. No where else could help and all were rude. I showed up with a tire leaking air loudly and quickly at 7:45 am. They quickly diagnosed that the tire was irreparable and I needed 4 new tires. They had them in stock and by 9:15 am I was out the door. Quick, friendly service - highly recommend!!

I was quoted 30 minutes for a simple tire patch. I arrived for my scheduled appointment with my two small children expecting to wait that amount of time. We walked to a store close by, and waited for two hours before I got frustrated and walked back where I was told the tire was too old to patch. No one ever called me, even though I had them verify my phone number, and requested a call as soon as it was done before I left. It took an additional 20 minutes to back my car out and hand me the keys. I witnessed an employee act very rudely to another customer during that wait. That entire time I was stuck without a car with children who missed lunch and nap time due to the extended wait. I hardly got an apology. The customer service was appalling. As I struggled to make my way in and out with a large double stroller, employees simply gawked or ignored me instead of offering a hand. So disappointed.

I dont go anywhere else for my vehicles needs. Professional and friendly crew that does exemplary work. Recommend them to everyone.

I have not had good luck with Big O Tires. I made a reservation online and when I made it to my appointment, no reservation showed at the store. This is the second time this has happened. The first time, delayed my repairs 5 days. I did a review then and was not contacted so I am wandering if this will be the same song and dance.I was not given an oil change reminder sticker for my windshield. He said I can give you one if you want. I said no, because I do not need to reminded to come back. One of the service staff was watching tv while the shop manager was sweeping the floor in the shop. People were waiting out front and there was one person in the office.I could not believe what I was seeing. After all of that, my oil change cost me 80.79, and thats with a coupon. I only pay 55.00 at the dealer and 65.00 at Valvoline. I am a BIG O TIRE / NTB card holder. This will get paid off and I will be cutting up the card. I told myself after the first bad visit I would never go back. I did and the same service was given. It will not happen a third time.Please get this store straight. It was that bad.

Hello Big O- I had a nail in my tire. I was on my way to Discount Tire, but since your store was closest and on the way, I pulled in to work w Big O. I was greeted properly and explained my circumstance and the gentleman wrote up a ticket and that they could do the patch right then, for $20 plus tax. I signed off on this, I went to do errands. Phone call 20 plus minutes later where tech said that they cannot patch this one based on where the nail was located. I was told I needed a new tire. Of course, he had 2 x different tires on hand, one was $167.00 the other brand was $188.00 that would fit my car.I told him to nevermind. I got my car and proceeded to Discount Tires where they removed the nail and patched the tire without issue within the hour and at NO CHARGE. Discount Tires has my tire business for life. I hate shady people and shady businesses. Shame on Big O business ethics. Social media is going to hear my story.thanks for sending this opportunity to vent.Peggy Bodenhausen

Went in for a oil change and tire rotation. Had a coupon for $20. My car uses regular oil. They tried to up sale me on new tires, which I expected. I declined and went to pick up my car. The final bill was $40. I figured the final cost would come in around $30 with disposal, supplies, etc, but not $40.They told me the additional cost was for labor. I pointed out the coupon didn’t disclose about not including labor. His answer was, “all coupons are misleading”. I don’t care about the $10 but it’s the way they mislead you. I will never trust this company and would advise everyone to stay away!!

I took my wifes car in for a brakes inspection as she complained that she was having to apply brakes harder and brakes may be worn. I turned up a little earlier than my appointment, was promptly seen and car inspected on time. Turns out no issues with brakes, they did not try to make any unnecessary repairs. I was not charged for the inspection.

Worst service I have ever experienced. We called in the morning, set up an appointment, and come in at our scheduled appointment time for tires we need before tomorrow. Lady calls us saying they dont have time to do it now asking if we can leave it, keep in mind we live an hour away, so NO! Then, calls back minutes later saying a cap is spinning, whatever tf that is, so they cant do it. Out of all places, a tire shop cant handle it! We dont get the tires and leave. Beyond irritated! We would have went elsewhere! Whats the point of making an appointment in the morning!? Worst service. Over $1000 in tires they blew off. Smh.

What bigger compliment could I give Mr. Travis Lafever and Big O Tires than he probably saved my wifes life. I took my wifes car to Big O to have the transmission fluid flushed and the oil changed. As the crew inspected the tires on my wifes car, they saw that the two front tires were essentially bald, but only in the middle of each front tire. Obviously, this is our familys fault for not rotating the tires on a regular basis. Travis brought me out into the shop to see and inspect the bald front tires. This wasnt observed by me previously, because the outside treads had not worn at all and I thought all was OK, but this really reinforces the fact that tires need to be rotated regularly, and that, if you dont, you will lower the expected life of the tire by about one-third to one-half. In our case, it was one-third of the life of the tire, since we got 40,000 miles out of tires that were rated for 60,000 miles, all because we were negligent with tire rotation. The 2 completely bald front tires were replaced, and I credit Travis for saving my wifes life or perhaps both of our lives by such a thorough and complete inspection of our car. This was not about an intentional upsell or upcharge; rather, this was about good quality workmanship and concern for the customers safety. Thank you Travis.

Update: the manager called and I was given a full refund. The manager was very understanding and reasonable.Do not go to this shop, I went for tire balance twice and then I had to go to a different shop because this place charged me and did nothing. The other shop told me that the two front tires had extra weights and the back were not touched.I will try to contact the corporate because charging people and not providing any service is not acceptable.

Okay so, on Sunday my wife and I came in for a wheel alignment on her Jeep Liberty. Everything seemed to be fine although we were not given any kind of print out of the alignment or any information on the visit other than the $119 bill. Yesterday, my wife had to travel to Manhattan, KS for work and on here way out of town the lower ball joint snapped. This is not the first issue we have had since Big Os took over NTB. Last winter we brought our same Jeep in for an oil change and you overfilled the oil causing the crank seal to fail. Very disappointed and highly satisfied.

I took my car in for an alignment and the people were very quick and friendly, and the price was very reasonable. Will definitely be coming back in the future.

Would not honor coupon for oil change, but would do the oil change for 3 times the coupon rate. This is AFTER calling to confirm they could do the oil change and making an appointment. Thought I only needed front brake pads on my 2013 Kia Optima. They convinced me I needed front and rear brake pads and rotars. Told me you need to have a special piece of equipment to change rear brakes, therefore my friend could not do it. Charged me $900! I feel like I was ripped off. Time was of the essence.

No, No, No, No, No, No, No.I left my car to be looked at for brakes and it was due for oil. They called and said $$$$$$ I told them to leave it alone and I would be back to pick it up. When I got there they had changed the oil without my authorization and then said it would be free. I insisted to pay for the oil. When I got into my car they had left an oil rag in there and failed to replace the service sticker. When I got home I could not get out of my car because they had broke my interior door handle. Then when I got inside my house I found grease on my clothes and hands that must have been on the seat and steering wheel. Sloppy and unprofessional. DONT DO IT!
