The staff that knows what’s going on are overwhelmed.My feedback for UltaThe top management should work on supporting the staff that knows what’s going on in developing new staff and understand the ultimate goal which is to serve the customers.They didn’t seem like they wanted to spend time showing/teaching the new employees it’s looked at like more of a burden than an opportunity to move on to what they really need to be focusing on.the culture feeds of to the customer. I spent $120 on three items and felt everything going on from the culture of the company and it was not a pleasant experience no one wanted to help me. The seasoned staff is overwhelmed and the new staff simply doesn’t know how to help.It comes from the top down.Hope this is helpful and you can find ways to give lower level more support and better understanding of what their purpose is. Fix your culture or you’ll slowly go down.The ladies in the store are working hard!You’ll loose them if they don’t get taken care of.

My stylist is Ally and she is one of the most talented artists in the industry. I have never walked away from her station without being amazed at what an amazing job she has done. Her color skills are incomparable and her hair cuts are on point. This last time I went in to get tape in extensions and I was not the least bit disappointed.Pics below—Ask for Ally-And a shout out to all of the amazing people working in this location. They all make me feel like a super model. They are informative, kind, funny and I often walk out thinking to myself ‘Are we best friends now?’

Done with Ulta! There is no reason to continue the mask requirement when the vaccine is available to everyone. Ridiculous. Ive been a loyal customer of Ulta for years but Im over it. Everything you offer is available elsewhere and often cheaper.

I was featured on the Morphe National campaign as one of the shades, so I decided to go in and purchase it. The moment I walk in, there is a line full of people waiting, and I get asked within three seconds if I need help for three different people.I explained to the lady that I didn’t as I know what I came in for because it’s right in front of me. Two minutes later I notice the general manager kept looking at me as if I were gonna steal, so she walks past and sends someone over. Again I tell the lady I’m not needing any assistance, I’m just looking at my campaign. As my bf stand there deciding if I want to order two, I notice the general manager is consistently staring at me. She processes to go behind the register instead of helping with the long check out line, she stands with her back towards us, but turns her head so she came make sure she has her eye on us.My bf noticed, and as she walked past us again he asked her to get a pen for us. She returns with one and so concerned when I mentioned that my shade was sold out and the pen was to sign the bottle in purchasing, She felt guilty for thinking I was stealing and felt the need to get us check out on the mobile tablet to “get going faster”.I decided to purchase the last shade since it was sold out, so she directs us to this long long. As I’m standing there and associate comes over and congratulations me. But I’m still not comfortable with that fact that because we were the ONLY colored people in that store, the GENERAL MANAGER felt the need to watch us and get all the other associates to do the same. I have never had 3 associates come to me within a five minute time spans asking me if I need help. Then for the general manager to make sure she checks us out??? I just find that appalling.Please teach your older employees that this is not the 1900’s, stop assuming we’re here to steal.

The store had a lack of chairs and other accomodations for the mobility challenged, the make up didnt even last an hour for the 16 hour smudge proof brand, but the staff was quite helpful

The worst experience Ive had in a very long time ANYWHERE! The staff blamed me for showing up on time for my hair appointment and it wasnt on their calendar. I had the confirmation text and they still made me feel like I was in the wrong. It was humiliating and embarrassing and the crowd of workers was completely unnecessary. Yes, I was upset since Id scheduled this appointment two weeks earlier, but I didnt cause a scene -- not like some would have when these kinds of incompetencies arise. Of the two stylists, Tony, said he had an opening an hour later, and after offering an generous discount, I agreed. When I came back for the appointment, the staff wouldnt even look me in the eye which leads me to believe I was talked about after I left. Then, Tony clearly did NOT want the appointment, as he was mumbling under his mask and basically refusing to even acknowledge he understood what I was saying. I had pictures, too! I ended up having nothing done and was completely ignored by the manager when I tried to speak with her as I was leaving. I definitely do not recommend this store or salon!

She was wonderful and fun, did a great job on my hair, and it came out exactly as I was hoping. I got compliments from other associates as I walked around afterward. Everyone’s super friendly and there to help!

They did so great and had really good costumer service. I got my make up done for prom and when it took longer than expected, causing me to loose my hair appointment she offered to do my hair for me. My stylist for hair and makeup was Skylynn, be sure to ask for her! she is great at her job.

The lady working here took advantage of me and told me that I was signing up for something that I would not have to pay for. I never had a credit card at a store before but she tricked me and told me that I was not going to need to pay a fee for it. I know I should have known what was going on but the woman took advantage of what I didint know

Came in today to find the Ordinarys squalane that was listed online as being available. Was told rudely they dont carry it, I explained Ive bought it here before. Finally found the product, but the thing I hate most about this store is they push and PUSH for your information at checkout. I dont want to give you my phone number, name or email for anything. Ill order directly from the Ordinary from now on.

Unfortunately, in my city, we dont have an Ulta, so I always have to drive a little over an hour to get to the closest one. This was only my third time being in an Ulta (which is sad because I LOVE ULTA), but I had an amazing experience. Every single staff member greeted us and asked if we needed help finding anything or asked us how we were doing. Thats so cool! They were so friendly and extremely helpful! The staff was amazing and honestly, because of that alone, this will be my go-to location. Great selection of makeup and reasonable prices. The store is very clean and they offer awesome services, including skin care and hair. I had a wonderful time here!

Tony, in the salon, did an amazing job with a color, highlight, cut and style. The best highlight job Ive had. Not over done. Looked so natural and sun kissed. Amazing! Highly recommend Tony!

Very nice! I went with friends. One needed to be matched for foundation and the shorter guy in the prettiest frock was able to match exactly what she needed including coverage and finish.

I felt really racially profiled while I was here. I was followed around the store as if they thought I was stealing things. The manager Maggie was also very rude to me.

They matched a foundation for me but couldnt seem to answer a whole lot of questions. Especially anything other than make up itself. Different employees said different things when it came to products. It all depends on the employee you talk to. Ill definitely be buying my makeup from there from now on though. I want to leave 2 reviews! One positive and one negative! On a positive note, I have 4 daughters that I have been taking to this location for make up on special occasions Birthdays, Prom, today for Homecoming. Cat (Cassandra) always works us in with some of the best people who really pamper me and my girls every time. Quality products. Informative instruction on application to look your very best. Today was no exception, Blane was amazing. Did a wonderful application of makeup for my daughter. Thank you so much for helping my daughter feel like a princess today. You are such a kind human. Thank you for everything. You did a great job and quickly to keep us on time with all that needed to be done so we weren’t pressed for time.So here’s where the little bit of negative rolls in....We were on a schedule to get makeup and hair done. I was feeling a bit of a crunch on how much time we would have for hair so Cat walked me back to salon to try to schedule my daughter in for a hot iron wave on her hair. “Holly” yells over at Cat and says...your not scheduling an appointment for me are you?! Proceeds to list off what she needs to get done in the back. She spoke to Cat in a rude tone which was very unprofessional unfortunately. Didn’t speak to me at all. Didn’t make any attempt at all to accommodate in any way. Cat apologized to me for not being able to get us in on the salon schedule. She walked me to where the hot irons were on sale if we wanted to try to diy, but then we got online and found an opening across the street at beauty brands salon. Unfortunately, I was not impressed with the salon service done there I paid $50 plus a reluctant tip because the girl was nice but I could’ve done a better job myself. I won’t make that mistake again.Over all! Cat is amazing, Blane is amazing making my daughter’s day special, and all the people who work at Ulta who have assisted in making my girls feel beautiful on our special occasions, I want to thank you. We will be back because you all are awesome. Most all of you!

Very nice employees and such a clean store

Our family went to Ulta Beauty to get a hair styling for the granddaughter. Elsa was very friendly and listened to what our granddaughter wanted. She was very quick and explained what she was doing. That relaxed our granddaughter and made the whole experience 5 stars.

Gals there are very helpful, they answered all the questions about my hair needs and directed me to a product that will help my hair.

I had a great experience last weekend at the salon at Ulta s Overland Park location. Angela did a really good job of finding out what I wanted with my cut. She made sure we were on the same page before she started and told me what she was doing as she went through different sections of my hair. She knew exactly what I wanted and even showed me how to style my new pixie in different ways. Ive already received so many compliments from friends and coworkers on my new do! I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a new stylist, especially if you are wanting to go short for the first time.

I love ulta but this was awful. Two little girls digging through new pallets and opening brushes then putting them back. Im all for dress up with my niece using my own makeup in my own home. One even stepped in front of me testing a pallet to play. None of the associates even attempted to control the situation.

I love how all staff are ready to assist. Excellent customer service, beautiful people. Very open minded, makes me proud to see LGTBQ community work comfortably and where they enjoy to be.

There is nothing that really works. I was looking for CC cream. Already 5 years the world uses. this comfortable and beautiful thing. but I did not find these creams in any ulta store. as if in the last century. All probes that are in the store are very old. their expiration dates had exhausted themselves about 6 years ago. maybe someone likes it .... consultants in the network of these stores are suitable for you. as soon as they understand that something they do not have. they run away from you .... not professionally ...

I love this store... Platinum member since 2015 if that tells you anything. The girls are awesome they dont bombard you like they do at the beauty counters at department stores. But if you need anything they are ON it!

Friendly staff. Store is clean & well lit. Great selection of high end, mid-range & drugstore lines. Store has a salon, Benefit Brow bar & facial studio. You can also book a variety of make up services.Time to check out is usually pretty quick. The only time you may have to wait awhile during check out is during a big sale or at the holidays which is to be expected.A drawback for me is the lack of samples to be able to try out products before committing to a purchase. But they do have a decent return policy in line with other stores like this.I feel their Rewards program is better than Sephoras especially if you dont spend hundreds of $ a year on makeup/skincare/haircare products.

I love this place. The ladies there are always super helpful and nice. I had a gift card debacle and they were really helpful. No one stopped until the problem was fixed. I have never had salon services there though......or anywhere for that matter.

Last week was my first time at an Ulta Beauty. I had a color/cut appointment with Kisha. It was easy to make conversation with her and she was able to get the color I wanted. I even found that this store had brands I didn’t know I could find here. I without a doubt will return.

I dont care for the way they run coupon campaigns. Overhead another customer trying to redeem a 2 for 1 coupon. They wouldnt honor it because another offer overrode her coupon. Seemed like bate & switch and the managers demeanor confirmed in my mind it was a raw deal for the customer.

Kat is always helpful when I go in. She ia both informative and went out her way by not only put something on hold for me, but called me when it came back in stock. She is one of the reasons i love shopping at this location. I am an Ulta over Sephora girl for sure.

I called before I came, she told me exactly where the item was I needed. Other associats still sought to help as well. Overall good experience first time being there. Not sure if Ill be returning since Marshalls had what I needed in a bigger size and cheaper.

100% PROFILED AND DISRESPECTED. Do NOT go here if you are a person of color. Pick any other beauty store besides this one. Trying to shop here was the most dehumanizing experience. Terrible customer service from the moment I walked in. I was not in the store for more than 2 minutes before I had a manager in my face handing me merchandise I did not express any interest in repeatedly. Not only that but she did not leave my side until I walked away from her only to be met by another employee who felt the need to baby sit me. I was with 2 friends, one who is biracial and another who is black, and at one point they were not even allowed to touch the TESTER brushes. All together we had been watched by and followed by about 4 different employees.They had staged conversations with each other as an attempt to get a better view of my friends. He even heard the first manager refer to us as shoplifters. Not once did they ask to check our bags or set them down (which we wouldve happily done) By the time I had got to checkout counter a police officer had been called to the store. He and another manager stood by the door waiting for us to leave. No one had the decency to explain to us the problem and we were treated with no respect. Absolutely disgusted by the employees Ulta Beauty has chosen to represent their brand.

They are by far the most friendly, professional and knowledgeable staff. They answered all my questions and guided me in the right direction. I will definitely be back.

Always helpful staff, always have products in stock, and if not theyll offer to help you find a similar product or the product you want st another Ulta location. The staff really knows their stuff and always speak honestly about products. Plus now Morphe products are sold there!

I love this ULTA (and the one on Ward Pkwy). Everyone here is soooooo nice and helpful. Even if the person Im talking to doesnt know the answer to my question, they find someone who does. They are so professional but also convey this sense of welcome and warmth that makes me feel like Im just chatting with friends Ive known forever.

First time I went to the salon here, I had to wait 45 minutes after my scheduled appointment time. This was very annoying because I was getting my engagement pictures done that day and was on a schedule. The stylist didnt charge me for an anti-frizz treatment so, I guess that nice. Second time I came to get my hair cut, same thing happened and I had to wait over an hour because of an issue with scheduling. While I was waiting, I decided to get my eyebrows done which is probably the only great thing I received in service there and why Im giving 3 stars instead of 1. Delilah (who doesnt work there anymore, from my understanding) gave great service and I loved how my brows came out!After I finally got my hair cut, the stylist kept making comments bout how I needed to get my highlights redone. I didnt want to get them redone though and when I was paying, she brought up making another appointment with her (which is normal) and I said no just because I wasnt sure if I wanted to come back because of the wait times I dealt with twice now. She said I REALLY needed to come in and get my highlights redone and when I said no, I was fine, she made a face at me like my hair looked awful. Really made me feel uncomfortable.

My wife could spend all day in this place and not be any happier. They have everything a woman could possibly want or need in cosmetics. Friendly and helpful staff always greet you upon entering.

I love shopping at Ulta, but the other day I went to get my nails done for homecoming. Im not sure if its because Im 14 years old or what but the lady that did my nails did an alright job on the painting, but everything else was horrible. First of all, she cut my cuticle pretty bad. Also, she didnt even bother to shape my nails in the slightest. Worst of all, the next DAY the nail polish on my thumb was already chipping off. By homecoming, TWO DAYS after my manicure, half of my thumb polish was peeling off and it was peeling around the edges of the rest of my nails. As of today, five days after my manicure, almost all of my nail polish is gone. I got a GEL manicure for a reason! So it would stay on longer! I havent been picking or peeling at my nails and I called them yesterday afternoon to inform them about it, so it will hopefully be resolved. I hope they will at least offer to remove the polish. Probably not going back for a mani.

I went in before Memorial Day and asked for a balayage with it to be a little lighted and a bit closer to my roots but to keep my roots as much as possible. My appointment was at 5:30pm, I didn’t leave until 9:15, after the store was closed at 9 pm and lights had been turned off! I had bleach left in my hair for almost 2 1/2 hours, I have fine and thin hair and was already a decent blonde to begin with, I was lucky I didn’t have my hair fall out but definitely looks a little brittle! I left with large pure white strips everywhere. I paid $150 and had to go another ulta to get my hair fixed!! Do not go here to get your hair done or risk actually getting your hair ruined.

I came in for a cut and color scheduled with Kayla. She has only been there for about 2 weeks she said so clearly is still learning the products. I will say the end result was fine, but getting there was rough. She was more concerned with tacos and her two jobs than talking to me or paying me even an ounce of attention. The other styalist had to ask several times if I was okay. She was also very rough to the point of actual pain and with her brushes but i am not tender headed and the blow dryer felt like she was burning me. I came in at 6:30 and we didnt finish up until right after 9, which is when they close. The cashier was very checked out. Overall the experience made me feel like a burden and not appreciated as a client. I had also asked about different tools and products to make the style look better with my hair type and Kayla came off really condescending. I have another appointment booked, but I will go somewhere else.

I love this Ulta! I havent yet experienced a problem! Super friendly staff and was greeted. I had at least 2-3 girls come up just to make sure I was doing okay. They even told me about their 75% sale rack. Like whaaaaaaat lol. One staff member even offered me help on a good foundation 👍

Rude and arrogant, are the staff in this place.For some reason the girls who work here take it very serious and think that they have the most important job in the world when nobody even care if they are there or not.I mean how difficult it is to select a lipstick? Come on! You guys need to put your feet on earth and just be more kind to costumers. Sometimes I go there because I have no choice, these girls think they are superior to rest of us who came to buy items.You have to know one thing Everybody knows how to do dishes and doing makeup is the same thing, so please come on! Stop your circus.And the manager is not a good one starting from there.I brought my own brush so I could test a product and I was walking with it in my hands she said: let me get this from you at the same time she was pulling it from my left hand.Before that I was trying to find a color from bare minerals original foundation,and I could hear her horrible voice from the distance disturbing me, saying: are you going to find the right color this time like pretty much wanting to say you always come and test everything.Everytime I come to this store they make me feel very uncomfortable they fallow me everywhere like I am going to steal something, I do not enjoy shopping here like I said before I go there because is the closest location.

Went in to see if beauty bakerie was stocking their foundation in the stores since they are now at ulta and had a subpar experience. No one greeted me and I spent 10 min trying to find BB since it was on a small end cap. Had one person check on me though it felt like they were making sure I wasnt stealing since I was crouching to look at the pallets on the bottom. And the trip ended with no one saying goodbye. Its honesty 50/50 when it comes to getting help at this particular store.

This is the nearest Ulta near me. The place is very clean well put together i can find things like just that. I didnt give it a 4 star becuase staff are really hard to find sometimes and when you find one they sometimes seem like in a rush, but they do help me find what i need at that time. But at the end i leave satisfied.

Every time I come into this store the employees are rude and have horrible customer service. I work in retail and if I had the attitude all the workers have my boss would write me up. I love the make up but this store makes me never want to go back to ulta.

The people there are very helpful and make sure you are finding what you want or need. Ulta has so many wonderful products to choose from and I get overwhelmed haha. I love shopping there because the stuff you buy at Wal-Mart is more expensive than at Ulta. I think the environment is safe and happy and fun because the people there make it so. It does get VERY busy during the most busy parts of the day and is harder to get as many questions answered during those times but never the less they still pull thru and answer questions when it is busy. I think they do well. I think lots of people should shop at Ulta.

Everyone is super knowledgeable. I picked up LA Color PRO Conceal in Peach to cover a couple of dark spots on my face.

I walked in and got a bad vibe and being a woman of color. I felt the feeling of being unwelcomed. The lady at the front who greeted me asked if I needed anything and she led the way to what I was looking for. Then told me thats the only spot they had it in and asked if I wanted to buy it. But I knew they had more areas in the store. She stood there as if I had to make a decision on that product right then. I walked out without purchasing anything because I will not support any establishment that treats me like Im not welcomed.
