I called to ask if they had French silk pie. I was literally on hold over 5 min. Decided to drive up there (from my hotel behind Big Boy). I waited another 7 for someone to acknowledge me. And yes the 4 workers saw me standing at the counter. Finally it was a yes and ordered slice to go. This is how I got the pie...what a mess! I could have dealt with that but not the black straight, short hair that was in it see right side of picture. (mine is Grey and curly...) really? Your server put it in the container like that????! I am 2 hours from home and sadly wont be going back there
Just had an incredible lunch here. Tge food was cooked to perfection and was worth every bit of the price and then some. My server Desiree was absolutely amazing to have. I described what I wanted and she helped me find exactly the right meal to hit the spot. Someone give this girl a raise, shes definitely an asset to the restaurant.
Server was very cheerful, food was good,(what there was of it). Menu has removed all of my favorites!! No cabbage soup, no grilled cheese with tomato, no chicken fried steak. Dont go near the bathroom!!!
The food was really not that great,it seemed old and cold not well made. the place was a mess and the staff were really not around, and the place wasnt even busy maybe 5 tables full, our server was very nice is only reason for 2 star rating
Service was way to slow for the amount of people. The food had no flavor. Hash browns should be salty and buttery. Sausage and bacon barely tasted like what they are (cheap is my guess). Get organized and serve better food.

In truth I have rarely had a more pleasant dining experience I have definitely not been treated better in this area of MichiganThe staff was so very nice and bubblyUsually when I visit this area I am met with rudeness especially having my son with his bleached dreads around such a “trumpey” area. So my guard was up and on 12 but I love that I was pleasantly surprised
Overall a fine visit. Clean restaurant. Well trained staff with great table service. Worth the stop by. On the negative the buffet is closed. Probably a COVID precaution but the staff werent masked so that doesnt make sense. They were out of the fish I wanted (again maybe a COVID supply issue) and one of water glasses was stained so the water looked dingy. Waitress explained it was stained and offered to replace it. My question is, if anything like plates or glasses are damaged or stained why not pitch them? But let me say again, a nice, pleasant breakfast at this Big Boy.
Great lunch. Big boy and fries with a chocolate malt. Waitress was excellent. Really enjoyed our stop.
Okay I just had an experience at Frischs Big boy it was terrible I ordered the big boy because I felt nostalgic since we used to have some in Indiana big mistake first I ordered a glass of water which look like it was served in a yellow glass but it look like it come from the sewer second of all the freshest big boy patties look like they were road apples that been run over in the street and left for a few days the bun was burned the french fries tasted stale if thats the best they can do they need to close it down if I could give it a zero I would
Our server Maddy was Absolutely one of the kindest most amazing servers I have ever had she was patient and understanding with our two year old son and she even sat with him and listen as he pointed out the big boy best Experience ever
They warned us that the kitchen was backed up and food would take a little longer to get out. Which was nice of them. But when we did get our food, we didnt get silverware yet. It then took another 10 mins to get clean silverware while our food sat. A no, you cant really eat over easy eggs and pancakes with your fingers. The food was good though.

Big Boy is a favorite when were on the road. We stopped at the MT. Pleasant restaurant and had a great breakfast and absolutely excellent service.
Yeah I dont think well be coming here again. After being told they are out of applesauce cottage cheese and then yogurt to. My kids were pretty disappointed at that point. So then they asked if they could have french fries and they said that would be an upcharge because they were getting a breakfast. At that point I would have just gave it to the child because they had to go through so they couldnt have anything.Then I asked for a chicken sandwich with honey mustard on the side. Instead they put it on the burger she tried to ask me if I wanted a new one . Obviously not since I want to eat and get out of here since theyre closing their doors . Then asked if I wanted a new top bun because it should only be there but actually it was all over the bottom . Plus there was no blood as on the burger it was all the way around it . Not very impressed. Waitress was not the greatest I had to get up and ask for a refill.
By far one of the grossest restaurants i have been in. The floors had crumbs and dirt all over the the bathrooms had trash all over the ground. The tables and menus where also all wet which was gross. The hostess was nice but she was the only staff we talked to because no one showed up to take our order. Wouldnt recommend coming here
Stopped for a couple of burgers, and they were dripping in mayo and mustard, and the fries were dripping in grease and over cooked. We had them to go so there was no taking them back. Also took at least 25 minutes to get our order. Wait staff was good.

Went here on a Saturday, about 6:00PM, place not real busy. Plenty of seating available. Male hostess seats us first booth next to register & kitchen. We objected, asked if could sit elsewhere...he resisted our request; replied with something to do with, “If its ok with waitress to seat us elsewhere!” WHAT THE HELL!!! We only want a quieter location to eat our meal & and this guy is giving us sass about it. More concerned about waitress than us. Wife final points to open seats in atrium (only 2couple out there); said,”You can seat us out there or else we’re leaving!” He did so. Then returned to kitchen area and very loudly announced to entire staff,,”Yeh, I moved them out there!”Cute waitress took our order; brought wrong soup to me; offered to change it up; I was hungry, but I agreed to keep it; mistake; it was luke warm!Meals arrived; wifes open face turkey plate was OK; my burger was very good but the onion rings looked horrible! I pointed it out to waitress; she told me they were her favorite. I ate a couple, didn’t get ill...but never order them again.Will not return here nor refer this eatery. Lesson: there’s a reason why there weren’t many vehicles in the parking lot at dinner time on a Saturday evening!
My husband and I took our grandsons to Big Boys. 7/6/21. We’ll waited to be seated not busy at all. Maybe 8 people. Our waitress was in another world. We waited 37 minutes for our food. Our grandsons are young so sitting there was to long. So very disappointed! She never offers us anything. The food was disappointing.
Place was clean, staff was friendly but waited at door for a bit for someone to recognize us there. Waitress was pleasant but did not know the menu then forgot to bring our waters and coffee for some time after taking our order. She then brought our food forgetting to bring my toast and no silverware. They tried but were not successful, in my eyes.Upgrade from 3 to 4 stars as Big Boy stepped up and responded to the situation.
We were only in this establishment long enough to get seated and water brought out to us. We walked in and instantly the place smelled like mouse urine. A gentleman infront of us said to the cashier that they never got a bill. The hostess took us to our table in the back, and the floor was absolutely disgusting. It was supposed to be carpeted I believe but it literally stuck to our shoes. At the table next to us there was a lot of food left out that wasnt taken care of. We were both appalled. We got our waters and I tasted the water and it tasted off. My boyfriend didnt want to drink it at all. 10/10 would not recommend.
Super Big Boy classic has gotten slim. Fry portions are great for diets.

FILTHY. Completely infested with flies! Every surface is sticky & covered in scum, floor to ceiling. We could literally hear our shoes sticking to the floors with every step. Food smashed into the carpet all over in the back room. Fecal matter on the toilet seat of the women’s bathroom and zero soap available in the dispensers. I don’t even want to imagine the sanitization of the kitchen...
I really wish I could have gave this less than one to start. I was from out of town coming here and I remember when we had Frischs Big boy back home they were fantastic. This place should be closed down it was not very clean it was flies everywhere. The waitress was friendly but the menu was horrible the fish I had was so hard I had to take it back to the hotel and try to microwave it to soften it up even then I ended up throwing it out. The meal was overcharged for a lousy meal. Theres a ponderosa next door my suggestion is go there.

I have never had an issue with big boy but I had a fly cooked into my garlic bread. When I confronted a waiter about it she continuously apologized to me and then took care of it right away.

Lots of staff working out front and kitchen seemed staffed. About 20 diners in the building when we arrived.. Food took 40 minutes for 2 side salads, 2 burgers, and 2 Slim Jims. Not impressed. Food was okay when it arrived. One slim Jim had a single pickle chip the other had none. The triple burger had 3 small big boy patties the other came with a large patty. Pretty sure thats a consequence of labor and skill level available.
The waitress is always so nice. Portion sizes are perfect. This is one of the few places where I eat different things from the menu each time I go.
If I could rate this place 0 starts I would food was HORRIBLE waitress was slow and didnt check in with us. Our food was so cold and hard not fresh at all like it literally sat in the back for awhile. My father got his salad but no silverware asked the waitress and she went to go get some never came back had to ask a different one and she came right away. Bathrooms are DISGUSTING aswell not kept up on at all. I will NEVER come to this place again and I will warn ppl about it also. Worse restaurant experience ever 😡😡😡
Friends from Bay City met us there. We came from Reed City area. Space prevents me from giving details. Overall outside appearance of the building was disappointing. Waist high weeds & brush. Inside took awhile to get our food even longer to get it right. Well come back but would like to see improvements outside, & service
Waitress doesnt write things down. We had to repeatedly remind her to get items on our order. When we finally got the food it was partially burned. Had to send it back. They just need to get it together

Poor very..Slow service took to long for our food. We had to box it up when waitress brought our food cause my daughter had an interview. The onion rings were half cooked and I did not get my to go order which was placed with the original order. We ordered 2 kids chicken tender meals and was charged for adults. My daughter ordered a chicken tender meal with 2 sides and it was the same size as the kids meals... very bad poor service I do not recommend this place unless you have 2 hours to blow!!my slim jim with onions was awful. I paid 48.00 for our lunch. This was Ridiculous!!

This is absolutely ridiculous! Our server asked if we needed anything else, I asked for a box and a refill... 10 minutes later I see her barely wiping a table down, and I got up to use the restroom, she asked if I wanted my drink to go because she forgot I asked.. bathroom was also a disaster!

We go here quite often but last night wasnt the best experience, our food was made incorrectly and was not fixed, when we asked about it the waitress was kind and stated she forgot, after she spoke with her manager they took $2.50 off of a $10 sandwich my kid didnt eat due to it being wrong.

A table came in behind us. 12 minutes later. Asked a server if they could get water and service and said his long they had been there. She said yes. Then went away and came back to wipe a table that no one was at.A server came over and when asked why it took so long. He rudely replied. It’s not like we have a electronic system to tell me your here. (They were seated by a employee) they got up and left. To bad there’s not another sit down restaurant that’s not fast food in that area.They would probably make a killing... JS

This restaurant is attractive and well maintained except for the restrooms, which seem a bit small and run down. Our experience was not great, however. We arrived at about 11:00 AM for lunch and took at least 45 minutes to get served. The kitchen was experiencing some problems and food preparation was going very slowly. The wait staff was excellent and were doing their best to keep people happy, and were exhibiting a lot of hustle once the food came out of the kitchen. If they can get their kitchen under control this place would be OK, I think.

After halfway through my omelet I found the bottom part was runny and not cooked all the way through. Waitress did ask to make another but was already halfway through and didnt want to wait. No manager came over and nothing else was said. Can honestly say never was served an undercooked omelet.

I ordered the loaded mac-n-cheese, it came with a side salad and garlic bread. The salad was nice with lettuce, cheese, cucumber, 2 tomato wedges and shredded cheese. The entree was for sure adult with sun dried tomatoes, scallions and crumbled bacon; penne pasta with a 4 cheese sauce that is reminiscent of a velveeta sauce but better and less salty.
Jalapeno poppers will burn your mouth
Food is definitely microwave in bag, pour on a plate and serve. Not impressed with service and hardly anyone here.
