Shopping for engineered wood floor. We went twice and browsed through their extensive samples. Found one that seemed perfect. Then we were told it had been discontinued. Picked a second choice from their samples. We were told they did not have that one either and didnt think they would be able to get it. Picked third choice and finally, after checking in the computer, we were assured that this one they had, and could order, Our contractor tried to order for a month, and was finally told that Flooring 101 didnt have it and didnt know if they could get it. We went elsewhere. On the positive side, the staff was always courteous.

Easy to find location! Staff friendly and knowledgeable. No peer pressure to buy. This shows respect and people skills.

Great prices and good staff

I was very dissatisfied with Flooring 101. We contracted them to do a large project and replace the majority of the flooring in our home. The floors were installed fine. However, we quickly learned that the new flooring blocked both our front door and bathroom door from closing completely. Also, they had to remove and reinstall the dryer and managed to break the hose components in the process. It took over three weeks of them avoiding our calls and texts to finally get someone to reluctantly come in and fix the doors. Three weeks is a long time to use the bathroom with a partially open door. And of course they arrived late. In addition, they refused to fix the dryer connection, which they broke and, because the front door was grinding against the floor for three weeks, the door was badly damaged, which they also refuse to repair. If you’re looking for a professional for a flooring project, find someone who takes pride in their workmanship and ownership for their mistakes, not Flooring 101.

I bought some gumball plank that supposed to be more superior than the other by ocean side. The interlocking device was very hard to connect during install and very easy to break at $3.50/ sq ft. As an engineer, I took a close up picture, the design was flawed. After they I completed there row, the first two row came apart again.. there is some scratches on the design that I ask the store along with the type of transition, he told me that I need to buy it, they cant lend it. The whole experience is getting very annoying.

We had a unit in a suite I currently manage done about 2 years ago by Flooring 101,at that time I thought they were the best. I needed a quote and contacted them again a few months back the sales person Manny said he would get back to me and never did. Same thing today I contacted them to get some carpet done in another of our suites, when I called I was connected to Manny. He told me he would return my call within the hour and still has not. I ended up calling Joses Carpet Sales he was able to come out measure give me a price. They start tomorrow morning. Very disappointed with the lack of customer service. Needless to say I will not recommend them nor contact them for future projects.

Great source for flooring

I bought a new home which needed lots of upgrades which included carpet up stairs and all new flooring downstairs and both restrooms upstairs. Myself,and my husband stop by the Oxnard location. First they were not very helpful at first, they provided one word answer to our questions. As we were leaving they guy seem a bit more helpful. So approximately one week later we call to have them come buy to take measurements and never showed! Never called and we provide 2 numbers. Let me not forget we are 5 min drive from them. Very unhappy with them and will be advising any and all that ask about their service.

Staff on the showroom needs more customer service training, showed up and theres no one helped us, after almost 45 mins thats when somebody helped us but feel rushed

Absolutely horrendous customer service. Once you buy from them they are through with you. We tried for several months to get someone out to check our floors for a warranty issue. The sales person was finally reached after a few weeks and several calls and messages left with no return call. He took several pictures and said he would get back to me AND NEVER DID. After not hearing back for several weeks, I again tried over the course of a month to get a hold of him. I left messages and several times was told they would call me back. Never a callback, always busy, and multiple voicemails left. I finally caught him on the phone a few weeks later only because he answered the main line. He apologized and said he would take care of it and made a few calls and said it was rolling with the company and he would keep me updated. Weeks pass... and he never called with an update. Multiple call backs and voicemails again and messages left with the front saying he would call me. He never did. Called late May and asked for a manager around 2. Surprise, surprise, they were all busy and I was again told one would call me back and they took a message. Did I get a callback? OF COURSE NOT! After leaving a version of this same complaint on Yelp at the end of May, I received a callback. We set up a time for the Manager to come out, and unfortunately, I missed the appointment and slept through my alarm/doorbell after working a night shift. I sent several emails apologizing again and wanted to reschedule. Never received an email back before going back to the phone game. It repeated. I finally got a hold of them again and we set up a new time. He never showed up. He said no one ever told him once I got a hold of him. I truly believe this was just retaliation from the business and there was no miscommunication. I finally got him to come out in September and he took pictures and said hed be in contact. Weeks passed and more dodged calls. Finally, we got a letter denying our claim as not covered 6-8 mo from start. Just want to warn potential customers to stay away from this business.

Did not have what I needed and said what I needed didnt exist. But I found it online and went and got it somewhere else.

Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Prompt and responsive. Had some wrinkles in carpet a year after installation and they corrected the problem.

This location is great but the Ventura location is the best!!!
