Terrible experience. They never showed up for our appt. Glad they didnt show up. We found someone more reliable.
We’ve had an awful experience with Country Club Awning. The day that our two awnings were to be installed, their inept installation team drilled cockeyed holes into the soffit of our freshly painted house (which was in the midst of a renovation) as well as anchored a support pole to the facade in an attempt to hang the first awning, which, of course, was crooked. To rectify the problem, the two installers then tried bending the awning frame and pole to make it appear straight and level. We told them to stop and take the awning down. Upon removing the frame and setting it on the ground, we noticed a hole in the fabric on the awning’s facing. We then called CCA’s owner, Brain Lanning, who came out a few days later to assess the damage.Initially Brian was apologetic and amenable to rectifying the situation, telling us that this happened because his installation team had never hung an awning in this way and promising to pick up the awning frame and pole early the following week so that they could be repaired and repainted, and that the frame would be recovered. He also promised to handle our awning situation himself from there on out, including installing the awning. Brian also gave us his cell number so that we could communicate with him directly, instead of going through his office. In the meantime, we had our contractor repair and repaint the wood on the soffit and the plaster on the facade of our house in preparation for round two.The following Wednesday morning the awning and pole had still not been picked up, so we contacted Brian who proceeded to give us a hard time for calling him on his cell and told us to call his office. When we phoned Stephanie in the office, she told us that the awning frame and pole would be picked up the following afternoon. At 3:30pm on Thursday we called Stephanie to find out what was going on. She said that she’d check with the person doing the pickup and call us right back. She did not call back and when we tried reaching her, the office was closed for the day. When we phoned the next day, Stephanie said that they would arrange the pick up for the following Friday. At that point we told her that we had no interest in continuing to work with Country Club Awning and cancelled the order. To our great surprise, Brian’s son Nick arrived at our door the following Friday to pick up the awning and pole. We told him that we had cancelled the order and had no interest in working with their company. Nick was very apologetic and wanted to know what had happened. We ended up speaking with Nick for almost an hour. During that conversation he explained that his father had experienced a health issue the previous week and that he would make sure that we received a full refund on our deposit. Nick then provided us with his cell number so that we could set a time to pick up the refund check from their office. When we called the next week, Nick suddenly couldn’t remember who we were and told us that he would have to speak with his father about issuing the refund and would call back in an hour. Naturally we got no return call. When we followed up the next day, Nick said that they still wanted to pick up the awning and pole and complete the job. We said that we were not interested in moving forward and expected him to honor his promise. Since that conversation Nick has dodged our calls and the few times that he has answered his cell, he has hung up as soon as he realizes who is calling. This situation has left us frustrated and feeling that we have no alternatives besides leaving a negative review and exploring our options in small claims court.
Great experience. A team of five showed up on time and did a very professional installation. So far the awning is working perfectly. Highly recommend Country Club Awnings.
Had need to replace our awning that was damaged by someone else. We had used Country Club Awnings about 4 years ago, and they had done an excellent job. They were scheduled to show up to day between 9 and 10 am, and were at our door at 5 minutes before 9. It would have been more convenient for them to walk to our back patio through our house, but before even offering that as an alternative, they inquired if there was somewhere close by they could use to access our back patio. Worked quickly, quietly, and neatly. Did an excellent job. When contacting Country Club Awnings, dealt with Elizabeth. Explained we had a short window to have our awning replaced. She was able to get the work done within that window of time, and could not have been more pleasant. Very pleased with their service. Would highly recommend them and if the need arises again for awning work, would not hesitate to contact this company first!
Thought I was calling American Awnings as they were the company that previously installed our existing awnings of which we are incredibly happy with. During my call to Country Club Awnings, they never let me know that American Awnings had gone out of business and that they had kept the same number and were recruting business. They led me to believe that I was still talking with American Awnings, even after I told her the whole story of how happy I was with our existing awnings and that we were hoping to add a new awning to our home. We set an appointment, the estimator came out and bingo three weeks went by, I emailed, called and nothing. I cant believe what horrible communication and how let down I feel. This is not a company I wish anyone to work with because of this reason.I wish American Awnings were still around so I could share this with them!
One of their drivers is a total menace, drives like a maniac way beyond the speed limit and tailgates then taunts other drivers with obscene gestures. Poor example of representing to the public
They showed up 2 hours late. They did not call to say they were delayed and no one answered the office phone. Disappointing.
Brian and their installers were just fantastic, everything done on time and the whole experience was very professional. From beginning to end just great
One of their drivers wasnt paying attention to the road and nearly took out a car waiting for the red light. 02/14/2020 half the trucks license plate was spray painted
