Originally we booked the palm springs location but changed. The team at big wheels was very accommodating and professional. Would highly recommend booking with them. Affordable and all around nice people. The road bikes were also AWESOME!

Just a wonderful experience - I’ve been on three tours now:1) the Joshua tree tour with Kolyn - he’s so kind and knowledgeable and just makes everyone feel like their on a fun road trip with friends! We stopped for hikes an lookouts and plenty of photos!2) San Andreas fault line tour with Isabel - Wow this girl can wheel!!! We had such a blast offroad blazing trails in a 4WD Jeep. She had such an understanding of the geography and plant and wildlife!!! We even saw a bearded dragon! We hiked through a rock cleft it was pure magic!3) Box Canyon bike tour also with Isabel this one was just pure freedom! The road was at a steady decline and required minimal pedaling. The bikes had front suspension and suspension seats and were brand new! What a beautiful experience!!!! We even got to stop for date ice cream at oasis date farm yum!Thank you Big Wheel family keep up the great work!

My wife and I, along with our three adult children recently took the “Earthquake Canyon Express” tour, and can highly recommend it as an easy, fun activity for an afternoon. We were picked up in Palm Desert and driven in a van to Mecca Hills at the east end of Coachella Valley. There we got on our bikes and descended through a beautiful box canyon. Almost all of the trip was a gentle, downhill slope. The canyon is in San Andreas Fault metamorphic zone. It was easy to see how the horizontal rock strata were compressed, folded, and lifted vertically. Along the way are numerous slot canyons for exploration. Our guide was extremely safety conscious, and he helped ensure that we had a fabulous time.

Rented a couple bikes from here last weekend. Super nice guy at the shop helped us and we were out the door riding less than ten minutes after we walked in. There’s a ton of really bike friendly roads in the area. We had a blast. Road from the shop out to Indio and back which ended up being 22 miles. I would recommend making the drive from Palm Springs if you’re looking for a more pleasant ride away from the crowds.

These nice folks stayed open late for me so that I could get my bike fixed. When I arrived they offered to stay and fix it on the spot. I didn’t even ask either time - they just offered. It was a beautiful day and I am sure they would rather have gone home. They are so helpful and great to deal with. All their rental bikes look comfy and very well maintained. This is a top notch operation.

We rented e-bikes to ride around the neighborhoods close by. Evan (owner) and all employees were very friendly and informative in answering our questions about where to go. The e-bikes were great and we had a very good time.

Hired a decent racing bike (full carbon with Dura Ace) from BWT when coming over to Palm Springs from the UK. The service and support from the team especially Ali was exceptional. They delivered the bike to the house I was staying at and even gave me tips on which roads to rise and which ones to avoid. Have a bidon (water bottle) as a memento which is a nice reminder of great service. Bikes don’t come with garmin mounts so bring your own.

What a great tour we had of Joshua Tree National Park with Ben from Big Wheel! He was amazingly knowledgeable about all of the wildlife in the park, along with the history of the park itself. Cant say enough about this place. The owner went out of his way to accommodate me, super nice guy. I got my bike repaired here. I dropped it off around closing, and it was ready the next day. Pricing was really fair. The owner actually talked me out of buying another seat to give the one I had another shot, after an adjustment. Would highly recommend this place, earned a repeat customer.

A great company to get all your bike rentals from in the Greater Palm Springs area. The bikes (we rented both mountain and road bikes) were very good and well serviced with everything you would need to start cycling (repair kit, tools, and helmuts). The delivery service is outstanding. We had several pickups and drop offs and Michael did an outstanding job at getting us set up each time. I rented a road bike for 4 days while visiting friends. The bike was new and in great shape. Michael delivered the bike (on time) to my location and set it up/adjusted it for me. He also gave advice on my planned bike routes in the Coachella Valley. Michael also picked up the bike on time as well. Great bike. Great service. I will definitely use Big Wheel next time I rent a bike in the area.

Rented two carbon fit road bikes for an Ironman from Big Wheel. Evan & Michael were awesome & the bikes we’re perfect for our race. Highly recommend going through Big Wheel if you’re renting near Palm Springs.

I was looking to rent a very specific model of bike and some accompanying equipment for a bike trip. While these guys werent able to provide that, they still responded to me promptly and even steered me in the direction of a nearby competitor that might be able to help me out. To me, prioritizing the happiness of potential customer even at the expense of a sale is the sign of a business who cares about the people they deal with on a daily basis. Im grateful for the help they provided. Definitely check these guys out!

My girlfriend and I took the San Andreas Fault tour, with a brief detour to sneak in to the Joshua Tree park. Our tour guide, Ally, was very knowledgeable about the geology of the area (she actually had a degree in geology), as well as the local towns (the restraint she recommended was fantastic).The Jeep was clean and comfortable.The offroading was exciting, but never once felt dangerous.We got out and explored a bit on foot around the more interesting rock formations, and even had a pet bee named Bob for a brief time.The Salton Sea wasnt quite as luxurious as it was back in its prime, but it was still interesting, and the fish jerky smelled fine, although we didnt actually try it.I would highly recommend this tour, and especially this tour guide, to anyone that wants to explore the desert.

This was the easiest 20 miles we ever biked and in 90 degree weather to boot.Ron picked us right next to our hotel and off we went. We had no cares during the tour and Ron kept us all safe driving in the van behind us for the entire 20 miles.The ride is breathtaking as you appoach the fault zone and Ron was very articulate and informative.Toward the end of the ride we are at the Salton Sea - awesome sight.As a bonus Ron bought us date shakes at the Date Plantation in Mecca.Thank you Ron for being the consomate tour guide.
