Unfortunately a whole glass of water spilled on my Macbook. It shut off and I thought for sure it was dead. So it sat for a week to dry, but still wouldnt power on. Took it in expecting bad news, especially when they called and said there was still water inside when they opened it up. But they got it dried out, and cleaned up (dust over the years) and even replaced missing screws from another stores mistake...but they got it working! Wow i didnt expect that response. They had it repaired within 24 hours, talk about great turnaround. So glad I took it to them, Ill definitely be going back when theres a need!

My daughter’s 4 year old MacBook Air was continuously rebooting itself and wouldnt stay on. After taking it to the Apple store we were told we could buy a new battery for $129 but that most likely wouldn’t correct the issue. The Apple tech suggested we send it for repair for $459 and for that they would offer us a 90 warranty. We opted for a second opinion and are so glad that we found Richard and his team of courteous and knowledgeable techs. Richard, the owner, was so friendly and informative and most of all he seemed trustworthy. Brian, the technician, was also friendly and he explained his diagnosis clearly. Best of all he found nothing wrong with the computer aside from a software update! We were never expecting that and were quite pleasantly surprised when we received a bill of ZERO dollars. That’s right, no charge! They could have easily charged us for work that hadn’t been done and we would have been none the wiser. The computer was returned fully updated and with tips for keeping it current! Thank you Richard! It is so refreshing to do business with a company that has old fashioned values and puts the customer first!

This place is a great concept. Charged me a fraction of what Apple Store would charge for a new battery and they have rehabbed Apple products with full warranty and 0% financing. Wish this was known to me when my kids were in college. The staff was friendly and efficient. Strongly recommend.

Both times, it was a great experience and the work was done the same day. I ended up purchasing additional devices while shopping in their store, which is set up similar to an Apple Store, except with better prices. I highly recommend. I took my old computer in to Experimax to have them take a look at it and determine what the problem was. The employees were so helpful. My computer was 10 years old and not worth fixing. I purchased a new Dell. They sat it up for me and took care of me. I recommend this new company.

I would proudly recommend Experimax, East Lake in the highest possible terms. Ryan, in particular, was invaluable to me in a time of absolute crisis. My hard drive on my only laptop crashed and I was unable to access any of my files or programs. Fortunately, I had Carbonite as an off-site data backup, but had never been called upon to use them in any way so I was very much outside my comfort zone.Ryan and Experimax immediately made me comfortable with the entire process after it was determined, following the diagnostic, that the hard drive was completely gone and no data could be saved from it directly. Ryan shared with me the relative benefits of moving up to an SSD drive, vs the old style and that I would be well advised to keep my existing laptop, as it was a great performer.Within an hour the new SSD drive was installed and I was invited back to work with Ryan in getting the updated Microsoft Office package installed.We then moved on together to the recovery phase (the very same day) with Carbonite and Ryan was able to walk me through this process, as well, and even gave me input as to the safest manner in which to transport the laptop and to pause the process by putting the unit to sleep.After the recovery process was complete some 48 hours later, the team at Experimax invited me back to assist in helping me get access to my email accounts, as well as to provide me with some great input on the function of Windows 10 (I had resisted moving up from 7 for many moons).Again, I would very much recommend Ryan and Experimax to anyone. I was limping along on my IT equipment. No backup, a crashing laptop, and several old devices with important files still on them that I could not get to open.Experimax was Awesome. Ryan got both old devices open and downloaded the necessary files to my laptop. Cleaned and upgraded my laptop (RAM I believe.) Set me up with a backup drive and even fixed a port problem on my Galaxy phone.My data is finally SAFE... and my laptop is MUCH faster. Richard at Experimax was a Godsend for me today, My laptop screen was damaged while traveling and totally unusable when I opened it this morning. I brought my laptop to Experimax and he diagnosed the problem in minutes. He was very honest and told me it would probably cost more to repair the laptop than what I paid for it new several years ago. I decided I needed to purchase a new laptop rather than fix this one but needed more time to research my options. Richard did not pressure me at all to purchase a new one from him but educated me on my options so I could think about what to purchase. Then he suggested attaching an external monitor to my existing laptop to see if I could access my hard drive allowing me to use the laptop while making my decision. He hooked up a used external monitor for me and I was back in business! He sent me on my way with the used monitor and electrical cords and said Just keep Experimax in mind when you decide on what new equipment you you want to buy I wish could give Richard and Experimax 10 stars instead of 5! I will definitely will be back for any computer needs.

I bought a reconditioned mini mac to use primarily as a music server. I got it for a great price and it works perfectly. And they were able to access and download my entire itunes library from a very old and busted Mac and loaded it for me. Super great people there and great prices. Best Buy? I had a fantastic experience at Experimac East Lake. I walked in one minute before they closed looking for a replacement MacBook Air for an important business trip I was taking the following day. The staff was exceptionally pleasant and accommodating with any questions I had. The machine itself works great and was great value with the price. I tried to wrap up my business and get out of there to avoid delaying the employees from going home for the evening, but I will certainly be back to browse the wide variety of inventory they had available at attractive prices.

Worst customer service experience of all time. Geek squad makes these guys look like Geek Squad rejects.Dropped off laptop late March hear nothing for a week and have to call them on April 6th told its DC converter and shipping was delayed till April 17th.Call on April 17th to check in and owner says he has no idea whats going on with this and will call back. Never calls back once. Reach out again today, April 20th only to be told....They, somehow, order a charger instead ... Even though my charger works fine and I tried multiple myself.Completely incompetent. No ones on the same page. Owner doesnt understand tech and leaves it up to technicians who dont know what they are doing or not on same page. Would give 0 stars if I could.

It was by luck that I found Experimac East Lake, but I will be a long term customer from now on. My 27 inch i mac desktop was reaching the end of life after 9 years, and I asked Richard, the owner to keep an eye out for a lightly used i mac. He not only found me a great machine, but it was still able to qualify for Apple Care warranty! Only 6 months since purchase. My external hard drive could no longer connect via firewire to the new iMac, so I took my external drive and cable into the store. Bill immediately knew the issue and just happened to have a spare cable that would connect my hard drive to the new i mac ethernet port. Wow! Excellent customer service! Its like having a family member in the computer business. Everyone in the store is kind, courteous and goes the extra mile to keep a happy customer. So happy to have found honest, reliable people to trust my Apple computer needs to.
