Poor customer service!! Boy cashiering needs to be trained!!!! 6 people in line and hes telling his life story!!!

This store, the one on 231 by the newish Taco Bell always seems to be out of many, many things when it comes to their food selections. Dollar General already doesnt carry a great selection ( no fresh fruits, veggies, meats, the list is long.) And then not to have the meager choices youre supposed to carry. My stops at these places, dollar stores, is becoming less and less. Not just DG but the family one too. We dont have to go to two or three places because the first ones dont have what you need in stock. Well just skip these in the future if they cant step up their game. Im sorry this seems to have turned into a rant, its just getting old that alot of them are the same, and it never gets any better

I added money to my bank account w my debit card which is super convenient.At another Dollar General in southport yesterday they had signs up stating yellow dots meant buy one get one 1/2 off but at the Dollar General on Hwy 231 the girl just looked in sale ad and said no she would not ring the items like I had mentioned. I thought she should have at least asked her manager but I was running late so I didnt purchase the two items I wanted.Still Id recommend this store.

I always go to Dollar General to buy holiday & all occasion cards as they have a great variety and the prices are fantastic & definitely the best anywhere.

This store was so messy that is a problem with Dollar General it is always so messy as a customer I have to straighten up things maybe I can look and see if theres anything I want I was offered a job

The parking lot is quiet. And nice to be able to meet some1 4 Ride Share/CarPools.

They are open until 10pm.. What else do you need. Awesome 👍.

The employees are friendly and helpful at this Dollar General store. Every time I go into the store I am greeted with a smile and leave feeling like a valued customer. Kudos to the management and employees for exceptional service and morale at this location.

The newly remodeled store is very nice. Its great that they added more coolers for cold and frozen foods. After hurricane Michael we have had a lack of grocery options on the 231 corridor between Panama City and Dothan so this is a very welcome change

Always have what Im looking for!

They have a little of everything to choose from that you might need to keep this n.v gs running smoothly in you house or your business. The staff is very friendly and very helpful. The prices are reasonable.

Always easy convenient except for the 45 min. Lines except at the 390 location southport u trip over everything waiting to supposedly be stocked while manager smokes atleast 5 packs a might or is chillen with the local crackheads outside

It was already past Halloween barely things for Thanksgiving they are pushing through to Christmas to be done with 2020..lol

Fastest dollar general u will go to!! These guys when they see u, just don’t stand there stocking shelves til enough people get to the counter but ALWAYS stop what they are doing and run to assist at register or help u find what u need!! Thank u guys! That’s why I pass the other local dollar general stores to come to u!!

How is like to shop at Dollar General cuz its easy to go in and pick up something really quickly! I hate that the hours are reduced now because of the hurricane but I understand and maybe because of security issues! For being is understaffed as they are according to the clerks! I think they do during a great job keeping the store neat and the shelves full!

I will give this store five stars because it was built then knocked over by hurricane Michael then re built once again. This place takes a lickin and keeps on ticken. Plus best floors ever. Ive never seen lvp in a D,G. And the manager walked me through showing me everything I asked for. I dont remember her name but I should out of respect. This lady knew her store. Big props and hard work goes to the owner on a speedy rebuild and a very clean store. Best in Panama City.

They recently redid this location. They have a lot more food options at decent prices now. They made the aisles a bit smaller so they could fit more stuff in. It is nice to have more options so close by and saves us from having to go in to town for just a couple of things.

Great cashiers they dont get paid enough for what they have to do because they are under staffed so i guess its a management problem it takes forever to get the shelves stocked when shipments arrive .

Not alot to offer in way of insect repelant or sticky fly traps in fact not alot in the way of arts and krafts either

This Dollar General is among the few retail stores that survived after Hurricane Michael. It was a godsend for those of us who live in this rural part of town. They were one of two stores in my area that were open to the public that offered groceries as well as other needed items. Their dedicated employees were comforting and helpful while dealing with power outages, downed systems, diminishing inventory, as well as their own losses. We desperately needed this store when gas was rationed or ran out because many of us had to walk. Ill never forget my dismay when the Express Lane at Highway 231 and Star Avenue barricaded their doors and turned people away stating only employees, friends, and family were allowed. They even had cars blocking the gas pumps for at least two weeks. In my opinion, as well as many others who were struggling to survive, this Dollar General and their employees are considered heroes and remain so today.

Yes sir or maam I have 2 stores where I live one to the north and one to the South the one on Jolie and Highway 231 in Panama City I was in there the other day only one check out open as usual long lines when I went to the freezer Department hand to God there were so many empty boxes and no groceries in the freezer when I asked the checkout girl after waiting 20 minutes in line which is ridiculous I said maam you have many many boxes in your freezer that are empty why is that I dont know and I said has anybody called Headquarters to let them know yall have no food and why havent these boxes been removed they are empty I dont know and yes maam I dont know what it is but when we order were only getting half hour or order I said maam that doesnt sound right and if youre the manager or not you should be reporting this to your head by and even headquarters because someone is still in that food or by you not receiving that youre being charged for it you need to find out what the problem is because as a customer I come in here expecting you to have my products so then I had to go to the other Dollar Store which is always dirty people are lazy theyre walking around doing nothing theres only one check out open there 95% of the time while people are standing in line I will see an employee walk by and I will say yall need to open another line up people have health problems people dont feel good and customers should not have to wait in a line like this you should provide better customer service along with keeping your store in stock
