Many a candy shops have come and gone at Garden State Plaza (RIP Sweet Factory) but this one, I think is here to stay for a while. The Sweet Factory sold candy I could get at a corner store for ridiculous prices by the pound so I didnt buy much there. Lolli and Pops on the other hand, though pricey, definitely has a different feel when you enter the store and offer way more variety. The treats here are of great quality and the customer service is awesome. I went in to purchase macarons as a gift for a friend. I asked to sample a couple; Hazelnut Caramel & the Pear and Goat cheese. They were divine! Delicately flavored but perfectly indulgent. I also got to sample their champagne gummy bear. It was so good. It really had a taste of champagne. I also saw that, in addition to their signature sweets, they also had foreign Kit-Kat flavors that you only see in Europe or Asia or read about online (like green tea). Thats how you do candy.
Ah geez, about a bazillion calories in this shop. Its stuffed with all sorts of delectable looking chocolates and other sugary treats.(see photos) Nicely laid out shop. Friendly staff. Generous with free samples. A bit pricey, as you might expect. Load up if youre not diabetic or a tubby like me on a diet. Located on level 1 near Starbucks kiosk.
Don’t let the name and the Lolly pops 🍭 outside the door fool you.. this is more than a lolly pop store. It houses a huge variety of sweets not only locally but from around the world. Of course the prices are marked up.. $3 for a £0.69 bottle of smarties. Worth it if it’s a one time delight... I mean I’d rather a $3 pack of smarties than a $20 pack from Amazon if it’s a one time thing, otherwise amazon it is.They do let you try the scoopable chocolates and gummies as long as you ask for a sampling. They’re sold by the pound and are far superior to the ones in the kiosks in the middle of most malls.. so not your ordinary sweets. It was $15/lbs for anything under a pound and $11/lbs for bags over a pound. So more expensive than dinner by the pound at Whole Foods.I admit I skipped over the gummies and went for the milk chocolate. Every one I’ve tried tasted delicious.. from the green spotted minty milk chocolate balls to the caramel chocolate covered pecans!I had asked one of the shop keepers what they recommend I try.. she asked if I like peanut butter, I said yes.. tried the sample and was in love. It was this dusty looking round milk chocolate that was a peanut butter caramel chocolate (can’t recall the exact name, but it’s across from the Asian candy shelf). They also have Liquor Filled Chocolates, fizzy beverages, small cake & macaroons, a large selection of sour candies from sour heads and that toxic can shaped one, pop rocks, Harry Potter candy.. like I said. More than your average lollipop shop. Definitely worth a look! It’s on my list of places to go for rare treats to gift my family and friends. If you found this review helpful or you enjoy clicking on things.. I’d be delighted if you gave it a 👍🏼 like. Cheers 🍻.
The candy store is nice, but the tall, chubby African American Man working their definitely should not be working their anymore. Me & my kids where buying some Candy & my 2 year old daughter touched some Candy with her hand then he screamed in A aggressive way DON’T DO THAT. Their is A certain way to talk to people let alone Children. And on top of that is demeanor is not for Candy store for children. Also A young female that walked in the Store he started to flirt with her. I will not be doing business at this store again, me & my Family definitely did not like that aggressive behavior.
The store had a great selection and priced fairly. However my only complaint is that Lolli & Pops sells every kind of candy except Lollipops isnt that ironic 🤔. Otherwise a quaint little shop.
So many choices...so much fun. Lots of yummy candies. Do not take your kids here if you dont know how to deal with uber hyper candy high kids
So I went to get a $35 truffle box of 9 pieces on 12/20/17. I am in line and I read the label, it says sell by 12/02.... my first thought is are they expired? How old are these? I ask the rep if they are truly expired. He tries to tell me chocolate never expires. I tell him it is for a gift and i am not going to gift this box with a label that says sell by 12/02 for xmas, 12/25.The rep takes the whole lot of the expired boxes to the back and I still need to get this specific box. I ask the other rep for advise and she said the best they can do is sell me the individual truffles.Ugh I dont even know if it is worth noting what follows next but basically just check the labels on the store and make sure these people arent trying to sell you old, expired candy.Really disappointed with this locations customer service and I am concerned enough to maybe send a document to corporate bc selling old candy to customers is not right and a health risk.
A favorite place to take my nieces and nephews. There is every sugar treat I could imagine. I go for the chocolate but everyone finds something they like.
It seems like being sweet is a part of the job requirement because thats how I would describe the stuff at this establishment.
I love the variety of candy and i love the fact that the associates are friendly. The store is also kept well clean
The selection of treats are amazing. I have yet to try the soda selection, but I will.
Huge selection of gummies!!! Rosè was the best. And that Giant Rice Krispies !!!!!
They do have some retro candies from back in the day
Favorite place to stop in for a quick tasty treat! 🍭
I found the candies in a wide variety, but of those I tried the flavors were not anything special. I would still go to Godiva’s for quality.
Received great customer service from Jayline!
I always stop in to get a treat for my kids.
Amazing selection of delicious desserts and candy.
