I always thought this place was a Pasadena institution and had heard great things about it. I took a non-Apple product in that had a small, external mechanical issue, not knowing they exclusively work on Apple products. The man who greeted me when I entered was so rude to me that I will never go here for any of my Apple products, and I will go out of my way to recommend just about any other repair place to family and friends - even few exorbitantly expensive Geek Squad.
Wonderful service! I’ve been here a few times now, and it has always been professional, timely, cost-efficient, honest, and personal. You get treated much more like a person at Di-No than if you go to the local apple store.
Its too rare a business cares more about informing customers and being honest than upselling, but it seems to be a foundation of their operation. Really great service and now my six year old iMac is operating faster than my smartphone, thanks to Di-No installing a solid state hard drive. Gave me a really detailed assessment of my machine and gave me what I needed to make an informed decision, and I couldnt be happier with the end result. Thanks to everyone at Di-No, highly recommend their services.
Reception staff is handsome and humorous,He helped me solve the issue quickly. This is the maintenance point authorized by apple. Its very professional and highly recommended
My fairly new iphone 12 stopped working this morning so after chatting with an Apple representative on Apples website, they scheduled me to take my phone into Di-No Computers. Everyone was so friendly! Parking was super easy and plentiful behind the building and I was helped within a minute of arriving. The nice young man helping me took my phone, reinstalled some software, and had my phone working again within 20 minutes. It was a wonderful experience!
The customer service was so bad I left the business shaken. The man who greeted me kept interrupting me when I was asking questions about getting service.
Di-No is dynamite! Honest, professional, knowledgeable, and patient. I highly recommend them and so happy to have found this business. I will be coming back to them for all my Mac needs in the future.
Had to go in for help, my iPhone was stuck on a reboot loop. Demetri was very professional and helpful. Issue was resolved on a timely manner and they didnt even charge me, I have to go back with some treats!Thank you to Dimitry and to the lady that answer the phones, she was great too!
Excellent. They know thier Macs. Had my laptop in stock and price was same as Apple Store.
I have used Di-No computers on a number of occasions and they are always excellent in their customer service and the work that they perform. I wouldnt go anywhere else in the area! Friendly, professional, great prices, knowledgeable and very helpful. My last visit was amazing! I did not even finish my errands before I got a call to inform me that my new Mac hd was installed and ready to go with the latest OS installed. Go there! You will not be disappointed- with the service, the quality of work, or the prices.
Only place to go when you need your Mac repaired.
Awesome Apple-authorized repair center! People are super nice, so easy to talk to them, drop off my Apple devices, especially compared to going to the Apple store in Pasadena. Dont get me wrong, the Apple store is very slick, but parking is difficult and its always mobbed. I just want to bring my Apple equipment to a place I trust without it being a huge hassle. Di-No does excellent work and during Covid they are being very careful to limit the number of people entering their location (i.e., set up table at back door where you first speak with a representative so they can figure out what you need and limit access). I really appreciate they are taking the health of their customers and their own employees so seriously. Ive had them work on many of my Apple machines over the years. They dropped a new battery into my 2012 MacBook 15, they replaced a broken key on my MacBook 13 (for free!), and today they replaced the battery in my wifes iPhone SE. Getting the iPhone battery replaced was very reasonably priced (just over $50 with tax) and I dropped it off and picked it up within a few hours. They also didnt force me to unlock my phone until I came back and I was able to see them run final tests. I appreciated that. Very considerate people and great work! Ive been using them for years and highly recommend Di-No!
Friendly staff, professional work, social distance, everything’s are on point. Just make a appointment, I guess they can fix every issue of your computer.5/5
They fixed the audio in my laptop MacBook Pro at a lower price than what Apple was charging me. Di-No called me when it was fixed and I could pick it up. Well, I could not go and pick up because I got admitted to the hospital for weeks. I asked them if they could ship it to my house because I could not leave the hospital. They said no problem you are not that far so we will personally drop it off at your home. They did deliver it to the house. I love you Di-No! I appreciate your service dearly.
Best repair shop. Efficient, communicative, Covid safe.
Demetri was very professional and helpful. Quick diagnosis from Monty of the trouble with my MacBook/PRO. Now waiting for whats the verdict on my iMac.
I was driving around looking for someone to help me during this COVID-19 situation. I went to Best Buy, the Apple Store, all these different places and they would always play the same card on me sorry but because of the virus we basically cant do anything and we have become a crippled mass of flesh. The virus is basically an easy and simple out for everyone to be like sorry, but were useless during this time and you just need to deal with it.But not Di-No Computers...I called over there and they ACTUALLY PICKED UP THE PHONE WITH NO RECORDED MESSAGE. Right away I was shocked. Who does that? Then they helped me over the phone and invited me to drive over. WHAT?!Then I got there and the guy was like I looked for the phone and I couldnt find it, Im so sorry. - then he went back and looked again and came out and said oh hey, look I found a phone.I had a pin on and he was curious about what it was and asked me about it. They are genuinely super nice and interested in you as a person.Honestly, Im not so sure I have ever been to a place with such lively staff. One of the guys started talking to me about a computer he was fixing that was a fossil and I asked why someone would fix something like that. He mentioned it was because people run super expensive computer programs and its tens of thousands of dollars to upgrade the software. It was incredible. The staff were friendly and laughing and joking and you could tell they get A LOT of repeat business. WELL I KNOW WHY.The place was hot and their product supply was in disarray but this place was ONE-HUNDRED PERCENT CUSTOMER SERVICE ORIENTED.COVID is not an excuse to be worthless and you can still help people and do your job during this time. A situation like COVID is where the children are separated from the adults, the amateurs separate from the professionals. But you can tell it was just another day in the office. They werent doing something special.Honestly, if an office is looking to find a local place to take their staff to show them a live demonstration of how customer-service should be, this might be a great place to take them.We got our new phone with one signature and a smile.Im still shocked. Cant recommend this place enough.
Great honest people! Theres a reason why these guys have been around for so long. Thank you!
Id say this is the best place to get your Mac repaired in the area. Dont bother with the Apple store - youre going to face parking, long lines and lots of other hassles. These guys can do any kind of warranty work that the Apple store could do but theyre independent so support this local business.Their turnaround time isnt super fast but I dont think Apple is any better.
I bought my 2009 Mac book in to replace my hard drive and updated my IOS version was quick and fast. So I will definitely go back to have a battery replaced.
Di-no is the best. For repairs and follow ups. And having your hard drive replaced. Ask for Jordan. Who has lots of patience. If he is off ask for Will who is very good as wellCynthia T. Pasadena
Avery is the man. He took me in on short notice and replaced my iPhone screen within 1 hour. Highly recommend this place.
Friendly, knowledgeable and reasonable. Trust them with your mac. They know what theyre doing!
Thank you Steve for your amazing help help me recover my data and get a new macbook working!!! thank you so much!!!
I had a horrible experience with Di-No in the early 2000s. I had a G4 Tower with a faulty power button. I did my research and saw that a few others had had this problem, and that it was a circuit board that was part of the button mechanism. I even found the part #. I took it in to Domino Computing in Pasadena, CA, explained the problem, gave them the part #, and they said theyd have a look at it. A few days later, they reported it was the motherboard, which theyd be happy to replace for me for $800 parts and labor. I asked if they had tried to troubleshoot the power button or its circuit board. No, they hadnt, but they were sure because they were Apple Certified Technicians and I wasnt. Now the kicker. Since I turned down their repair, I had to pay a $50 diagnostic charge to get my computer back. After an hour of getting nowhere, i.e., waiting for different people to deign to come down to the floor and tell me no, I finally paid up. Driving home, I happened to notice a computer repair place with a small Apple sticker in the window. I stopped there, and they were able to order the part, which was around $100. Installing it for me would be $20, or I could save the money if I wanted to do it myself. The process was described as trivial, and it was.Im glad I stuck to my guns, but I was still ripped off for $50, and I doubt they even opened the case. Its because of retailers like Di-No that Apple opened their own retail stores. If there was a lower rating then one star, Di-No would get it.Frankly, I am surprised Di-No is still in business. Maybe having an Apple Store down the street has forced them to up their game, but Ill never come back.
Took my old IMac here. For $35 they basically told me what I mostly knew. The unit was too old and needed replaced.
Always very knowledgeable and helpful. Will take time out to explain things. Only Mac place I will go to after the Apple store on Colorado killed off my sim card. So happy this place is in Pasadena!
They were very helpful and patient with my questions. They even helped me find a place to sell my old phone and iPad. I was impressed!
Great service. I recommend them for applecare service as well as for repairs that you have to pay for. Competent and nice. Ive been using them for years for my businesss computers and I always recommend them to people who want to know how our computers run so well!
Dont be put off by their goofy name and terrible internet presence (amateur website design with out of date postings) -- I mean to talk to them about this because it gives the impression that they are a fly-by-night bunch of high school age computer geeks, who, because they dont know how to market themselves, are by extension unreliable and provide poor service. The reality when you arrive at their brick and mortar location couldnt be more different! They are top notch professionals: excellent service, fair prices, well organized, and a knowledgeable and capable service department. They have delivered on all of their commitments. If you are located anywhere nearby, you cant do better for Apple service.
My experience at DI-NO was great. I took my daughters MacBook for service. The hard drive had crashed. Not only did they change the hard drive and install a new drive, but they also changed the plastic cover over the keyboard and palm rest area. That is great customer service. I hadnt even asked for them to change the cover, but they did. I appreciate that. I would go here again.
After I spilled water on my laptop and brought it in, they told me right away that they could retrieve everything. They then transferred all my data and all my software to my new laptop in less than an hour. They were super nice, efficient, and helpful.
They get it fixed.
Great shop for authorized Apple sales and repair shop. They have been a long time seller for several years. Wide selection to choose from. Sells only Apple.
The prices at Di-No are just the same as Pasadenas Apple Store, but the service department is vastly more skilled and more importantly…caring. The folks there are friendly, knowledgable and accessible. For any computer problem, skip the Genius Bar, and go where the real skills are.
Poor, bad, awful. My iMac started having issues after losing power. They replaced the hard-drive without incident but didnt mention anything else. The fan control started going crazy, running at 100% and when calling them they told me its because they didnt have sensors to put in with the drive the Apple uses. They didnt tell me this the first time in. I had to bring it back they charged me again for a full visit and put it in. They also explained how having an Apple drive is an option but didnt give me that choice or tell me how much it would be. Since getting it back the unit is very unresponsive timing out and goes from very slow to unusable at times. So, they never even checked to see if it was working properly the second time after I told them it was running slow along with the fan problem. They dont seem to have any regard for doing quality work or caring about their customers. Totally frustrating and I would never go back or recommend to anyone else. While standing at the counter the second time a girl came in with a laptop and the sales person who clearly knows nothing about computers couldnt figure out why she thought the drive was bad because it booted up. The tech was called and he was snotty and arrogant that of course it was bad and she could lose all her data and why were they bothering him with this. This is like dealing with some audio repair shop from the 80s where the sales people are totally clueless and you never want the geek techs to talk to a customer - not what you would call a good place to go to be taken care of. Pass on this place - lots of others to go get your Mac fixed in Pasadena.
This place is now my go to Apple specialist. Forget the Apple Store! The team is super competent and totally revitalized my 17 inch ibook. Very fair prices, you never have the feeling youre paying for service youre not getting. Any other place would have extorted so much money from me, but they fixed it twice for really cheap. Excellent. I recommend Di-No Comluters 100%.
Very closed friend needed his Mac serviced. I took it to them. They fixed it and their charges were reasonable.I recommend them over Apple Store.
I brought into Dino Computer a 2009 Mac Mini to double the RAM and replace a small hard drive with a 500 GB hard drive. They had it done in less than 24 hours and it runs great. It sure beat buying a new Mac Mini. Five stars for me.
Theyve been my go to Mac repair shop for a decade. I first pick these guys over the Apple folks every time. They honor your Apple Care warranty as well.
Ive been a client for over 10 yrs, and will continue to be a loyal client, after all, they have the BEST service!
Ive been going to Di-No for 23-24 years. Its been a long time. Ive purchased new computers, had upgrades and repairs done here. Its all been good!
Thank you so much for fixing my MacBook display. Had a black screen, they opened it up and re-seated the cable and it was fixed free of charge. Thank you!!
Love them! Knowledgeable, customer-centered, great service and fair prices. Im never going to the Apple Store again!
Theyre great. Very reasonable pricing. Monty fixed my old Imac. Hes a great Apple expert.
Great place for Apple repair!!
Its not the money saved to repair your apple computer when something goes wrong but the level of service, expertise and quality of work done that keeps me coming back.
Awesome smart service by really nice trustworthy people. All for less money than the apple guys.Nuf said.
Our go to place to get our apple products and for service.
Very knowledgeable technicians, great friendly service and parking on the street.
You meed a apple fixed its the place. New or refurb..
They very bad service. They don’t know how to fix your phone. Don’t come here just waste your time.
I got a quote for a ram upgrade over the phone, but when i went in, they said it was going to be $40 more than the quoted price. i left not really happy. i shopped around a bit, and others quoted me for the lower price, so i called di-no back. i talked to monty, and he said he didnt know the reason for the price increase, and if i brought it in he would take care of me. when i got there, he opened up my computer and saw that the ram cards were in fact a different type, which were more expensive. but since i had driven there twice, and twice been quoted a lower price on the phone, he gave me the lower price after all. he was really nice, friendly, helpful, fast. ill be back for any of my mac needs.
The only place Ill get my gear. Super excellent service.
Apple store wanted $280 to repair my lap top, they did it for $70. Fast!
Best Apple dealer and repair shop in town.
Knowledgeable and excellent service.
Cool
Thanks Martin for fixing my drive and saving all the data.
My experience is that their philosophy is that they are way or the highway.
Knowledgeable staff.
Parking is no good.
