Prices, curation, staff, selection and layout are all perfect. Plenty of stuff for $10 - $20 and great high end items priced very fair. Definitely one of my favourite stores
**updated review** Staff is ALWAYS rude. Doesn’t matter if you’re buying or selling. Great selection of things, though... but good luck selling!^*since writing this review, I went back to attempt to make a sale and I overheard a clerk say “I thought we decided she’s banned?” BANNED FOR WRITING A REVIEW ON HOW YOUR STAFF IS CONSTANTLY RUDE? I can’t imagine what else I’d be banned for since I’ve spent thousands of dollars here in the past year and I always keep to myself... Laughable... and once again, rude! Just changed my rating from 3 stars to 1 star. Banning me for writing a review? Yeah, right.
It is probably a better idea to shop at, rather than sell clothing at 2nd STREET Pasadena. The guy employee on the phone didnt tell me info regarding selling my clothes and wasnt friendly wanting to get me off the phone it seemed. When I arrived there to sell my t shirts, another guy employee explained to me that they only pay 10 cents,. and up for my shirts. After waiting for the grand total from the 39 t-shirts, he basically paid a little bit over $1 each for 33 shirts I calculated. He told me, without asking me first that theyd donate the remaining t-shirts that he wasnt interested in buying from me. I said Id donate them myself to whom I chose and took them with me. I advise others go online, make sure what there clothing is worth before just selling it to this store. You might actually have something you own, not necessary vintage worth more than they claim it is. Meanwhile they turn around and sell the clothing for way more than you got when you sold it to them. Sorry to say, a lot of clothes there dont sell since its mainly used and over priced
The store had a lot of trendy clothes and great options to choose from, but the staff was not friendly at all. I asked if the particular section I was in was the only section with pants, the employee told me, “That’s the only section with affordable pants...” I continued to explain the type of pants I was looking for, and he simply stated, “Whatever you find in the store that’s what we have.” He made no effort to point me in the right direction and seemed bothered that I was asking him for help. I walked out with no desire to buy from the store. Customer service here definitely needs improvement.
No social distancing inside the store whatsoever the young lady helping me was awesome so was the gentleman
I never in my life shopped so many luxury second hand shops. Who ever owns 2nd you need to get better staff in the following categories1 knowing there products and authentication knowledge. Having young men who do not know nothing about age of handbags. There answer is it’s authentic we use a machine to authenticate .2. Customer services towards clients purchasing allot. All they say is this is where the brand is look for your self. They don’t seem very excited about there jobs they worry about there phones then speaking to customers especially when there only allowed 3 people.3. Pride on your self on showing clients your product and what they want. I don’t know how this location is still in business you see items there for more than a year. But when they buy from you they low ball quote you. To who ever the Owner of 2nd street stop hiring young y2k era employees to run your luxury business
The most unfriendliest employees! Been to other ones Torrance for example. They are extremely nice and friendly. This guys work like they hate their job make no effort to make you feel comfortable in this store and the guy in the cashier was on the phone telling someone to don’t even bother coming with their clothes because they are paying .10 cents per piece. I’m not someone to give ratings but sometimes you just need to.
I noticed this place does have bad reviews and mixed reviews mostly, from my experience for the most part it has gone well with customer service, it’s a hit or miss depending on the day, but I have had an experience where the employees are rude, don’t be afraid to call them out on it, they only act like that because it’s a high end street. But no one is entitled to treat anyone with disrespect. Everyone needs to just chill out and be nice, this a second hand store not a luxury boutique lol. If they work on customer service I will change my review to a higher rating but it is true. Work on your customer service
I’m not one to leave reviews but what a Rude manager (male with tattoos), not friendly whatsoever and seemed bothered to help. Learn how to treat your customers. This location always has bad vibes.
I agree with a lot of the comments. The guy that took my clothes took a very old dress call it vintage and gave me 2 bucks and everything else really nice clothes for 10 cdnts.. but the you look at the stuff they have there and the sell 500 times more ?? they tell you its worth 10 because it wont sell and that they are full ??? so if the are full why do they keep accepting the clothes then turn around and high up the price tremendouslyits not a consignment its a Ill take your clothes and Ill make money out of it !! shame in them
Cool place. Nice stuf . Prices can be fare. Depends over all 50/50.
Ive been changed!!! Am totally obsessed with this place. Will never shop for new clothes again
Worst experience EverThe manager (a woman) is ruining the company reputation. She didnt make any effort of searching the serial number in the Gucci bag that we tried to sell. It looks like she made her mind right before checking the bag.Her assistant was really calm and cool during the incident
They threw my Alexander McQueen shoes all over the place price points were awful compared to the retail resale value staff are not knowledgeable on any current past or future trends I’ve interviewed with this company before and if I knew this is the criteria or these guys were the standard for the company I would’ve never everassociated with them honestly it was a racist harassing the cool customer who brought in cool stuff and honestly would rather have my items than the chump change they gave me for it should’ve listened to the previous comments before me really turned me off to the whole 2nd street brand
Shop is neatly kept and staff was friendly. I wouldnt recommend selling here unless you are planning to get rid of your stuff all at once. Brought in two big bags of clothes (mostly brand names but not designer brands, e.g. Agnes b., CK, Guess, Zara, club Monaco) and got $12.50. The good thing is that they took everything. If you are looking to sell at higher prices you will have better chances at Buffalo Exchange or Crossroads, though of course they will be selective.
They have good clothes for the price. I almost want to leave a negative comment so less people would shop here. The staff is friendly, too. Theyre very hip.
STOP LEAVING SENSORS ON YOUR STUFF THIS IS THE 10TH TIME. Outside of that fantastic.
Came in yesterday to drop a lot of money on some clothes and some shoes i’d seen; however, their customer service is TERRIBLE. I’m not sure if it was a race issue but I wouldn’t let that get in the way of my sales (not a smart move). No one spoke to me when i walked in, nor when i browsed around the store but I noticed they spoke to and interacted with everyone else in the store (which at the time were white customers). I came back again to see if it was just me and to also see if this time I could make my purchases. l was not acknowledged the second time either. I would not come back. I’m glad I found one in Melrose that I can support.
I love this store for amazing “pre loved” designer clothes! I love the amount of high end brands they carry and they balance it really well with some less pricey ones too. The staff is also super nice. If you have a Gucci heart but a TJMaxx budget you will love this store!
This place is amazing great deals and very friendly service i bought a pair of Jordans for 30$ here im very happy👍
Worst experience ever.....i went here to sell my bag of clothes that was about 35 items and all were brand new with tags made in japan and they wanted to buy from me for 10cents a piece wich turned out to $3 in total i said hell no im taking everything with me... most of my pieces were for sure more than $3 per piece..
Grate place, grate clothes, anda a good price
I always find something sick priced at like 1/2 of the retail price
Cool
The prices are fine and sometimes I find my favorite clothes here
