I was looking to get glasses but the male staff member helping me was trying to get me interested in LASIK surgery. I told him I wasn’t currently interested because it was too expensive. He then told me I should ask my “daddy or boyfriend” to pay for it. I’m in my late twenties and married. This was incredibly off putting and I got my glasses somewhere else.

BE AWARE IF YOU DON’T HAVE VISION INSURANCE! Although the doctor I saw was wonderful and the receptionists were great too this practice is very greedy! They try desperately to talk you into purchasing glasses from them when I’m telling you you can go to so many places outside this practice to purchase glasses. Contacts, forget it. $200 for an exam!!! They even charged me a copay (the amount my medical insurance card has on it for appointments) simply to walk in and pick my glasses up when they were ready. I had no appointment, no need to see the doctor but yet I was charged my copay to come in and pick up my glasses that were ready from when they were ordered a few weeks earlier. As if it wasn’t enough that for the exam and glasses themselves I was charged $400. No I had to pay a copay to go pick up my glasses, in and out in 5 minutes. For the eye doctors my children use I paid not even $600 total for all of my 4 children to have exams done and one of them to get glasses and they have no vision insurance either. I’ve called around to a few highly rated and recommended eye doctor offices and they charge much less, even for people with extremely poor vision. I’m sorry to the staff because they are wonderful but the practice itself is awful!

I had a good experience up until I was picking out the glasses that I wanted. The staff member who helped me was trying to get me to upgrade to transitions - which I told him I wasn’t interested in doing. He then proceeded to tell me, a 24 year old female patient, that I should get transitions because it’ll help prevent the formation of more eye wrinkles than I already have. Who says that to a young woman in order to get a sale? I had to switch to a different practice after that experience unfortunately. Everyone else that I encountered at the practice was pleasant.

Was at Sachem Eye care Patchogue this afternoon 👓👁️👁️👓 the office is very clean covid precautions are in place and you are to follow the rules.. I felt safe comfortable and look forward to going back cortney is professional treats the patients with kindness the man who showed me the glasses and placed my order was very nice the kind of doctors office you recommend to others 😊 keep up the great work no wonder why Sachem has offices all over five ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐..

I have to say I went to this eye care about one year ago the doctor was great. But when you dont have eye care insurance dont ENTER because for contacts fitting and one year worth of contacts it will be $200.00. I would recommend Walmart vision center in Middle Island. Sorry, Sachem Eye care but your price is outrageous for people who dont have eye care insurance.

I had an exam and bought glasses here about a year ago and they have been the worst most expensive glasses Ive ever had. Ive had cheap not great glasses but the are expensive terrible glasses. Exam was not pleasant either. And customer service was brutally awful. Even parking is in a sometimes packed public lot. Other than that very good...

Mr Steve is pleased I have been going here since it opened the doctor and staff are courteous informative I go once a year but if I have any issues I can always make an appointment very nice place.

So far Ive had 3 very positive experiences at Sachem Eye Care in Patchogue. The office is bright and open and theres no long wait. Everyone on the staff is friendly and courteous and makes me very comfortable. Courtney, the lovely young lady at the front desk, takes such good care of me and the doctors who have assisted me, Dr. Michele Espinosa in particular, took the time to listen to me and answer all my questions, and even anticipated certain concerns I had. I was advised on the latest options as far as lens materials and designs. Ive been wearing progressive lenses for 10+ years now and they can be costly but they are also worth the extra money. I feel very confident I got a really good value on my exams, frames and lenses.I would recommend Sachem Eye Care in Patchogue to everyone. They know what they are doing and they care about the customer/patient. I received very high quality service every time, both on the phone and in person.
