Never felt better taken care of at an auto place. Fast service, great prices. I know nothing about cars so my partner usually takes my car to them when it needs stuff. Theyre always able to get the work done quickly, and my partner who has car knowledge is always really happy with the work and the price. We have a Nissan and a Ford and we can take both in. Highly recommend!

Went in short notice before a road trip. Shield under my car was popping off and hitting things every time I was near a bump.Vinny had me in and out in no time easy and explained what was going on. All it took was a few bolts. Nicest experience Ive had needing to go to an auto shop.

This place is cheeks!I needed to fix, and or get an alternator rebuild. My bill came to $930.... So I took my car and left and went to D&D Tire Service and they charge me a third of the price for quality work. Total rip off that Monroe.

The worker at the desk is rude. He scheduled my appoinment over the phone for an inspection and when I arrived he never had me down. I was highly upset. So I scheduled another appointment for inspection following day. I have a 2018 car everything up To par. He’s gonna fail it cause the tire thread was low not even true. Are u serious he was just upset that I was rude to him the first time I came after he didn’t schedule my appointment. Worst experience ever.

I stopped by Monroe about a month ago for a tire rotation. The mechanic said my lug nuts were stripped and needed to be replaced and that they couldnt rotate the tires. So today, I stopped by with my new lug nuts and they replaced them and rotated the tires and the kicker....they didnt charge me. What an awesome group of guys, kind and very professional. Ive gone to these folks 4 times for various services and repairs now since I moved into the area. The last one was an exhaust issue and I got to say I was very satisfied with the service these folks provided for that repair and other things Ive brought my vehicles in for. Super honest and upfront about repairs. Will be going to them in the future.

We stopped in on an emergency visit when our cars splash guard came undone on the highway and started scrapping the ground. The man who helped us clearly explained and showed us how it happened (mechanics at our last oil change at a different place put it on wrong and misplaced about half of the screws) and fixed it for us at no cost, all in about 10 minutes. Absolute legend, that guy. Saved us an hour into a 6 hour drive.

I went there to get an inspection done April 27th 2021 at monro auto. It was one of the easiest inspections I’ve ever experienced. They were very fast it took no more than 25 minutes and the waiting room was clean. Grey the store manager was very helpful and nice. I highly recommend this place to others in the Rumford area!

My parents when there for a simple oil change. They didn’t speak English and the shop tell them to replace break pads and drums and battery when it’s not required to do so. my parent trusts the shop and replaces everything the shop said. but the shops brake checkup clearly showing 4mm left on all. and no indication that battery and brake drums require replacement. This shop take advantage of people who doesn’t speak English.

They fixed my water pump in 2020..great job..I returned this year with a noisy exhaust issue..I was told to replace the entire system for 500.00..5 days later they called after I had it done with a minor fix for 136.00..go to Meineke..Munro lost my business

No help at all. I came with a flat tire That had a large piece of metal sticking out of it and after telling me they couldnt repair it and had no replacements didnt even offer to put my spare on for me so that I could make it somewhere else to get a tire just said sorry I cant help you good luck

I’ve been going to this shop for the last 5 years. At first the service was great, I believe the manager was Mike? But don’t quote me. He and his staff were pleasant. The last year or so I noticed he left and there was a new manager. Let’s just say his customer service skills were less than perfect. Always very cold and short. One time they didn’t even call me to tell me my car was ready so I didn’t get it back until the next day. They open at 9 I had work at 8. I was nervous to return but I did today and I’m glad! As of two weeks ago they have completely new management and staff. Everyone is new and different. My appointment was for 10:30 but I dropped off at 9:30 just to leave it and said no rush. I got a call at 10:45 saying my car was all set!! I’m already impressed by the speed and the service they’re putting out. Also they were nothing but nice and friendly when I was there and when I called. If the old management scared you away PLEASE give them another shot!!

Place has really gone downhill over the past couple years, quoting for unnecessary repairs, overcharging for small repairs and now they charge my SO $160 for a single 15 tire!?! I call BS. We will not return. Firestone in Seekonk is much better.

Been bringing my vehicles here for years and years, theyve always been amazing. I was shocked to hear today that they let Tom go, the most honest trustworthy guy ever. Honestly not sure if Ill be returning now, Tom was great and letting him go was a huge huge mistake.

Went in for an oil change. 3 other customers around me were there for the same. One by one a mechanic would call us in to tell us we’d need extensive work done on our cars lol including me who got a “yeah 100% need a new tie rod” ... when I actually just replaced the one you guys just tried to lie to me about to get me to get work done lol we all had a nice laugh about it in the waiting room. Nice try 🤙🏻

Getting service on your car is always a pain. It especially stinks when your car is not in tip top shape to begin with. I have been ahving trouble with one of my vehicles throughout the past year, and I have taken it to multiple places. Another shop (which will not be named), did above $500 worth of work, and could not solve the engine light issue. They we sure we needed a new engine.I took it to Monroe, because I hadnt been there in a while. It seemed the prior work on my car was done incorrectly. John and crew at Monroe fixed the small issue that another shop had originally messed up. They diagnosed the issue, explained to me the error at the other shop, and tried to keep every piece of advice as cheap as possible.John made sure I was comfortable with everything, listening to my financial expectations and needs. The crew explained to me by showing me exactly what was wrong. Now I know more than I had in the past.Idk why I didnt bring the car here in the first place. Probably one of the best service experiences I have has with my vehicle!

Getting too expensive

I went to buy a tire and dropped off my old tire the man that served me was nice at first but unfortunately I had to cancel the purchase and he became so rude and disrespectful. When I came to pick up my old tire he threw it in the back and as he entered the store again he said ‘wasting my time’. I was very disappointed at how childish a grown man could be.

I stop by to get a tire mounted on a rim just to put together. the guy on the front desk ask me to leave my truck over night??? He told me that they were busy and then he said to come back the next day at 9:00am so i went the next day he came back to the same story that they dont have time to put the tire together something that took 5 minutes to the tire place down the street. Really really bad experience there i wouldnt recommend to anyone.

I brought in my car because I was getting a noise from the front passenger side. Also I needed to fix my brake lights. The guy said I need to change the tie rod, and it will be fine(came at a good price). It was, for one week, then the noise was back again. I took the vehicle back to them. And they said now I need to change the struts. Point is why didnt they tell me to change the struts at the first place? The people also did not seem friendly at all. Not recommended. Only reason they got two stars, because they returned the vehicle on time.

Just found out the most honest person in the place was let go. I have dealt with Tom for years. What is wrong with the management. They obviously dont know what goes on in their own stores. Wont be going back TO ANY MONROES. Spreading the word on facebook. This company is terrible. HOPING I CAN FIND WHERE YOU WENT TOM.

For a replacement part I was charged 106% above auto dealer retail cost. And was lied to about why it cost that much. I chose not to challenge his power game so I played my own. I let the credit card pay them so I could write this review.And, the car was ready for half a day before I got a call to pick it up. And then with another repair issue I took home a small part to replace myself because I was tired of the delays. Yet they charged me 20$ for an install. And only one piece was ordered when later I discovered it needed two. Fraudulent and Sloppy.Embrace technology and capitalism even though its going to leave our planet a barren wasteland someday. Asked to get my front bearings done. They called me 5 hours later talking about how much I need and wanted $1600. I told them I just want them to do my bearings, they gave me excuses why they wouldnt. Ended up getting the parts myself, buying a bearing kit and doing it in my driveway. Place sucks, dont go there.

I brought in my vehicle recently to have a tail light and door handle replaced. The tail light came out perfect, however the door handle, not so much. I have a silver vehicle, and the door handle that was put on was black. So, i asked the representative after he pulled my vehicle of the garage and saw it was installed, and he said thats the only color they come. I am not sure of the validity of that, however, the principal complaint I have is that it should have been brought to my attention beforehand. No customer wants to bring their vehicle in for repairs, and have created more work to do afterwards. It would have been a better approach if this employee alerted me, and then, possibly been able to increase his sale by selling me the service to paint the handle silver. Not a huge deal here, just a novice mistake. Moving forward I will not be able to patronize this location because of this. Thank you!

They even made right awarrantee FUBAR from another shop in Newport - for free! The are also very good about referrals to other shops for work they dont do (I have a diesel). Love these folks! Car wouldnt start this morning so I had it towed here. Literally just moved from Arizona and not knowing a reptutable place to go. I saw ther website reviews and thought I would be ok. WRONG. My car was towed at 1030 am. I called at 12 to make sure everything was ok and they told me the car started as soon as it got there, but they hadnt ran diagnostics on it yet. I called back at 330, nope. He said they were busy all day and would get to it soon. 20 minutes later he calls me and says its the catalytic converter and it costs $1045 to fix after laughing and Knowing this was bs I called my mechanic back in Az, who told me to get a print out of the error code to confirm. I went to the shop, asked for the print out and they told me their machine doesnt print codes. Well if course it doesnt. Cant show proof ? I asked them for a copy of what they said it was with prices and all. Not $1045... Less than $200? The rest was labor etc, but those charges werent on the estimate?? My car started fine and when I got inside I noticed my gas tank had 40 miles missing from this morning when I was trying to start it..... When I asked them about it if course they denied driving my car. Charged me $40 bucks for a bunch of bs and tried to take me for a ride like they did my Mustang.

Had an emergency to plug my tire so I could continue my trip to NH. Came here and was turned away because they had no “available appointments”. It amazes me how you can even make an appointment for an emergency flat that takes probably no longer than 5mins.

Tried to get my tire patched and was yet again told to drop my car off until close... The other place SpeedDee down the street in Attleboro took me right in. Apparently you need to make appointments for emergencies in Massachusetts.

I call up, I make an appointment for an oil change. I bring my truck. I wait for it. Usually within 20 minutes, Im out of there😊

Needed to get car emmissions test and they said I needed a whole new pipe that it was full of holes and would be 750.00 dollars.so I failed. Brought to my normal shop and it took two techs just to find 2 pinholes and couldnt believe they failed me on that as they could barely find them and were trying to scam me. They welded 2 pinholes and I brought back to monro for re-inspection (didnt want to go back but had no choice) and I passed. One of the workers was very nice and the one that did my inspection was rude and couldnt exactly explain where the holes were in said pipe. Also said when they hooked my car up to machine it said it was a different type of car. I asked if it passed through the machine part and they said yes but it failed on the visual part

I have taken my car to Monro Muffler on Newport Avenue in Pawtucket on several occasions. Was just there this month December 2017, and there is a new Manager in training he is very nice but the workers are RUDE AS HELL! The skinny mechanic with glasses and the older mechanic with short hair and glasses you speak to them, they dont respond. I noticed they are more hospitable with caucasisn customers than african americans!! They are RACIST!! Acting as if it would kill them to relay info to me about my damn vehicle and relaying info through the manager when they were just standing in front of me!!! My money is good enough to take but not treat with respect! AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE AND WILL NEVER EVER DARKEN THE DOOR OF MONRO!!

Wish I could give zero stars!! I came in here for an oil change and right after I left my brakes gave out in the middle of an intersection. Prior to my appointment, I had no issue with the brakes. When I called them to confront someone about the situation, they denied that any of this could be their fault because I was only given an oil change and tire rotation, so my brakes couldnt have been affected at all. Super fishy that there was a break in my brake line, causing my car to leak brake fluid everywhere! Right after I left their business!
