Sue and her team at Swedish motors are my go to’s when I need work done on my Saabs. Sue is upfront, professional and her pricing is fair. They can get booked up pretty quickly, so don’t hesitate to book an appointment.
Swedish Motors is a small auto repair facility, not restricted to SAABs and Volvos (I recently saw a Citroen I for repairs). Techs and management are low-key but professional, doing whatever is necessary to keep the vehicle running well. No pressure or upselling- they have told me I didnt need something replaced immediately, but kept a note in my file to watch for changes (I like watchful waiting).
This place is the best. Honest with fair prices. Got brakes done here twice.
Eric is amazing and they will work around your schedule. Its nice seeing all the other saabs hanging out in their parking lot. They are very fair on price, dont hesitate to call. Theyre very friendly too.EDIT: 1 year later still going here and am always happy with their work. I love you swedish motors 💘
They are technically exceptional and very honest.Eric is very knowledgeable and good at his craft.
Brought in my Volvo XC90 because of a coolant leak.. to make a long story short they tried charging me for 2 hoses when they only replaced one... if I had not of talked to the mechanic myself I would of been charged for 2... also the coolant leak wasn’t fixed they misdiagnosed the problem and now I’m out 200 dollars and back at square one... also after the work was done I asked if they had done a pressure test they told me yes... that was obviously a lie because the car leaked litterally the same day I drove it home. After being blatantly lied to, over charged and the problem still not being fixed I won’t return, can’t trust these people
Great place to bring your Saab. Reasonable prices and quick turn-around, just call ahead to schedule your service.
Mom and pop operation that does good work at very fair prices.
Brought the car in for diagnosis after an overheat on the highway (loss of coolant due to a hose blowing out). They said the engine was seized (total BS... I later took the engine apart and while I had melted the pistons slightly, the rotating assembly did move and the engine could still turn over). Said I needed a new engine. Two months later they told me they found one to buy, then three months later told me they hadnt actually bought it (without calling me to tell me this). Returned maybe 3 calls in all of 6 months - I was calling them every week for a while there.SO, being a Volvo fanatic, I asked a couple of friends, found a rebuilt 94 B230FT, bought it and brought it to them for the swap. A month later they hadnt even started on the swap. A month after that, I went in and took my car, my engine, and a bunch of parts that I had bought back from them. These guys cant pick up the phone without being hounded, their technician told me I was wrong repeatedly, and nobody was really willing to help. Not to mention the staff has a variety of rather racist stickers around the shop (Welcome to America, Now speak english!)Fortunately after more than six months they only made me pay for the diagnoses they did in the beginning.Credentials: I took the car and engine and parts home and did the swap myself in my driveway in two weekends, having never done one before on my own. Saved an estimated $1800 and didnt have to deal with them again. STAY AWAY, this shop isnt owned by the lovely Tomasso family any more and leaving the Tomasso sign up is a disgrace to what used to be a wonderful Swedish mechanic.
Ok .
Friendly place
