Great selection! Largest Ive seen in a very long time. I will say however, the customer service was not great...We were barely nodded at when walking in. There was one person on the sales floor that I could see who was on her phone chatting. I wanted to purchase drapery lining and when I approached her she turned and walked away...I was really excited but then sadly disappointed...I cant justify spending my money in a store that so unfriendly...

Went in there 4 the 1st time 2day. They didnt have everything I needed but they did have a great selection of stuff. I only paid 8 dollars 4 the 9 things I got which I think was a gd deal. The only reason I gave it a 4 star because I had 2 keep walking up 2 the lady n ask 4 help n she would just point me 2 where I had 2 go in the store. But overall a gd place 2 go 4 basic fabrics.

Fantastic prices and a giant selection of woven fabric. Not much jersey knit if thats what youre looking for. If youre looking for literally anything else, this place has it!

It’s getting harder to find independent fabric stores like this, as they are all being eaten by Joann and Michaels. This place is fantastic! They have a great selection of notions and supplies for very good prices. They sell leather hides and remnants, West African wax prints, quilting, fashion, and decor fabrics. Everyone was very helpful that I spoke to.

Great selection, just very short staffed. Only 2 girls in the store, one up front one in the back. Should hire some more people for extra help

My go-to fabric shop. The store is massive and has a huge selection of a variety of fabrics of all kinds. Not just color or pattern, but fabric types as well. They also have a decent selection of sewing and fabric accessories like threads, scissors, buttons, etc...The prices are comparable to what youd find somewhere like Joannes or Michaels, but you have the benefit of shopping locally. The other major sell for me is their stance on being an inclusive business welcoming all based on the large sign out front right by the road. Thats a major plus.

This is the best place to find any kind of fabric that you need. Depending on the type you are looking for, you can save quite a bit of time and money. You can also find plenty of sewing supplies

Housed in an old factory they have a large selection of fabrics of many textures, colors, and patterns. Helpful staff. After two other places, I found what I was looking for here. Happy I went.

I got to Lorraine Fabrics for mostly the precut fabrics. Jelly Rolls, Fat Quarters, and even matching fabric by the yard. The girls there are very nice and helpful.

I just found out about this fabric store and now Im obsessed! Its so much better than the chain fabric stores, it has more patterns, fabrics, and accessories. The staff is great and handles COVID concerns very well, keeping a limit on the number of customers inside at a time.

Lorraines has never failed me. Bring your own bag for your fabric, maybe a trash bag because youll want everything in their store! Love that they keep down waste that way, but it really helps to know ahead of time. Their selection is insane and separated by fabric type, then ordered by color for ease of search. The felt squares are super useful. The tassels, zippers, buttons, trims, etc are super varied and they WILL have what you need. Their sales are great for the types of fabrics they put out. Patterns, plain, tweed, heavy, light, fur, satin, cotton, canvas, tulle, polyester, quilting fabrics - they have it. Whatever you need, they probably have. Support local business. Check them before you run to Joannes.

Love this place! I reupholster and the prices on upholstery fabric cant be beat! Its hit or miss but I have purchased some beautiful fabric there. The sales staff has always been very helpful to me and I have been to Lorraines many times. Worth the trip!

Hadnt been there in a while but I was surprised in the changes in the store. No longer have a bargain second floor and that area is smaller. Cant beat the prices but I miss the old unusual bargain you would only find there. My rating would be higher but felt the bargain area needs addressed. Great selection of fabrics but I love a bargain!

This is an old textile mill complex, I wasnt expecting a bright airy retail space.My wife was looking for some fabric in the remnants sections. The selection is always good, all of the accessories are there. Dont expect to find other crafting supplies; all they have is sewing fabric and supplies.

What a great shop! Theyve been forced to downsize to make room for apartments on the upper floor. The store still has a great selection, cottons, home decorating, dressmaking, even italian wools! Prices are very competitive. Staff is amazing, knowledgeable and helpful. Support this small business!

Inspiration seeking design people and design students flock to Lorraine. And real time home people of local culture. A jewel of a place​ to flock to.

Ive been a fan for many years. The last time I was there found out that building has been sold and apts are going to be on the 2ND and 3rd floors so Lorraines will only be crammed into the first floor. They still do have many fabric options but I wonder if some choices will be stream lined due to space.

Sad that the size of the store had to be reduced, but it still exceeds expectations. Fun place for browsing, even if youre not purchasing anything.

Massive old-fashioned fabric store. No nonsense just fabric with massive selection and prices that seem to be from a previous century (ie cheap). The store has a charming atmosphere if a bit old and rickety. Staff members were all pleasant and helpful.

Reasonably priced inspiring place with amazing selection of fabric as well as threads and other items. Make sure to go upstairs to check the selection of fabric on sale. This place is huge.

Disappointing. I come here rarely and usually because Im in a bind and need something specific. They never have it. Why they dont expand to have staple fabrics is beyond me, the selection is extremely random and picked over. The prices are exorbitant, even for simple things like thread and buttons.

They have an upstairs bargain area with tons of fabric. The women that work there are extremely friendly and helpful. One of the women has helped me with questions repeatedly, she has taken at least 10 minutes to explain things to me in detail, a new sewer, more than once. The no return policy is tough but its close to me, convenient, they have a bargain area and the staff has always been friendly.

I have found upholstery fabric for 2 projects, a Victorian sofa and 2 Milo Baughman chairs. I had chosen fabric at the upholsterers shop, most of which runs $50-60+/yard. Luckily I was able to cancel, because I found comparable high-end fabric for each project for about $10/yard.This requires patience! For my chairs, I made 2 visits, but saved many hundreds of dollars. Also, trims ( huge asst.), notions, etc. are ridiculously inexpensive ! Worth the trip!!! Also, good service.

Nice fabrics, reasonable selection.

I needed some laces for my wedding dress!! Got there quite lost( because I dont know anything about fabrics)so I asked for help and the lady said all the laces we have are in the front. She came with me, showed me where they were and kind of left me there. I needed some advices!! Long story short. The customer service needs some improvement!!Went to Rycos and a lady came to help me and brought all these fabrics that could match with my dress and different laces!! Bought what I needed and left with a big smile!!

I like this store; alot of fabric & sewing accessories. I dont like having to use Facebook to browse their inventory.

Although they got rid of the second floor and dramatically downsized their discounted fabrics to 4 circular clothing racks, Lorraines is still convenient and has what you need for all the DIY projects! Cost will be more expensive unfortunately but the girls working there are spectacular and quality is worth it!!

It has shrunk to half its original size. Now only the first floor. Helpful staff.

Not as inexpensive as you would hope. One lady who works there is border line rude, every time I go there. Shes usually on the cash register. The rest of employees are wonderful.

Nice fabrics at good prices. Un-level floor trips me up and makes me dizzy. Notions selection is the basics. Stairs, stairs, stairs.Not too hard to reach from RIPTA. Did not ever see a bike rack. Parking lot is not huge. I havent tried parking the wheelchair lift van here nor shopping with anyone who uses a wheelchair. Not sure if Ive ever seen a wheelchair in here.

Selection is good; the HR is poor. Attitude of the clerks leaves a lot to be desired. Cold shoulders everywhere.

I was looking for a backdrop for my recording studio and my mother-in-law suggested this place. Left up to me I would have gone to Wal-Mart and bought a cheap Queen Sheet Set and used that (lol).Well when I walked in I was a little overwhelmed – there was too much to choose from, but again…I wasn’t fussy but yes a little picky. I’m good – backdrop is done and recordings have begun. I hope you enjoy your shopping experience.

If youre here for a bargain and are not locked into a certain color or style you might be fine. I was looking for coordinating cotton fabric for a quilt and left disappointed. The majority of the fabric is for appearal or upholstery. The notions and cotton batting/pillow forms cost about the same as JoAnns.

Whenever Im looking for an unusual fabric I come here and usually find what I need in the bargain attic. The first floor also has an amazing selection and is reasonably priced.

I loved this place and plan on returning Soo so much to offer it was almost over whelming. But I absolutely love this store, and recommend this place to all my fabric crafter friends!! Prices are very reasonable compared to Joann and acmore. Try it out not going to kill you to look :)
