I was suppose to pick up my order at 8 am. They didnt bring it to me till 845...But to there credit they gave me a 25$ gift card for the wait....And for that great customer service I will be back

My review is about the new self check out system and it wouldve been 0 stars if I couldve given that. Unless you have one or two items it has become difficult and time consuming! It asks that you put your scanned items in the bagging area but if you have a cart full of groceries it wont fit but if you remove the item it tells you to put it back then calls for someone to help EVERYTIME! I just left and it stopped me from scanning 6 times and called for someone to help no matter what I did it told me I was doing something wrong. So now I have to stress coming here everytime because I now have to wait in line for a cashier to ring me out at the one, maybe two registers that are open because I dread self checkout now!

Customer service is great. 6 times they had to come clear the scanner while I was checking out. The reason for the 1 star is recently theyve switched the self checkouts with the conveyer belts, which I always assumed were for people with bigger shops that want that convenience. Now if youve got a full cart and reusable bags you almost cant use these. It took close to 30 minutes to check out because of a multitude of issues.1. Reusable bags dont fit in the area. Didnt know the scanning procedure had been changed. Scanning was frozen because it took too long. Had to wait for customer service.2. What is the point of the roller area if you cant scan continuously? That use to be a great place for reusable bags and scanned items. Literally cant use it. Its wasted space.3. You place something in your bag and the scanner doesnt recognize it. I put an entire rotisserie chicken into the bagging area and it didnt register. This happened with 4 other items. Had to wait for customer service each time.4. Needed another bag because mine were full. Put another bag in the bagging area. Couldnt continue scanning because it was an unregistered item that hadnt been scanned. Obviously cant scan my own bag! Had to wait for customer service.5. Weight limit acquired because I had dog food. Remove items. But not all of them! Thats too many! Put items back in the bagging area. Cant scan. Had to wait for customer service.6. Was told once the weight was registered items could be moved up by customer service. Moved up items onto the rollers.... was told to put items back in the bagging area. Had to wait for customer service.Dog food ended up on the floor. Items got crushed because I had to stack my 2 cases of soda and Gatorade on top of my bags because the freakin bagging area needed to register it and its weight. For a once convenient and seamless experience its an absolute sh*tshow now. Youre basically making anyone with a large shop go to a cashier or use plastic bags. Which I refuse to do. Its supposed to be my choice. With the pandemic this last year Ive limited my time in stores and exposure to people. Hence the self checkout. Today I got up close and personal with staff 6 times. Because of a scanning change. Even the guy behind me said it had been a nightmare for the last 2 weeks because of the change. Not sure what the point of it was. But it SUCKS. I love the grocery store. But this made me want to never go back.

Its got everything you need, decent prices, and wide aisles. Clean and friendly. Not as good as Market Basket but better than Shaws.

I watched the customer service desk employees being extremely rude to a customer. Manager sat there and allowed it to happen. He even refused to take a complaint about the employee by multiple customers.

Deceiving, a docent croissant $66.00 after the strike the store is overcharging, or selling moldy food, but is Not the fist time it happened.

Been going to this location for years and now go out of my way when the east prov location is closer. Seems like it’s been under better management always clean always have what I need and very helpful employees. Actually been a few times I left in a better mood because the kids at the deli were so nice, quick and helpful. Can’t say enough good things about this location.

Its close to my house and very convieient. Good selection of everything. Bakery is very good. Sales are also great, so get the flier every week for the best deals. They still use their own discount cards where other companies have gotten rid of them. Im very happy going to this store.

I just left this store. Im upset because I parked near the left side door, yet when I left I was not allowed out the door I parked near.I explained to the cashier but she just said sorry....???????Im a 60 yr old woman, who has been robbed at gunpoint and knifepoint while at work. So walking alone ACROSS your empty parking lot at nearly 11pm had my Anxiety totally out of control...Staff needs to be trained on Customer safety in and Out of the store...

Im writing this review because the cashiers have over charged me (by scanning items twice) on a few separate occasions. When I realized their error on my receipt the store has refunded my money but the clerk at the customer service desk wasnt very friendly. This happened again tonight, before closing. I caught the error immediately this time but was told that I have to return tomorrow because the service desk is closed. In addition, the local sales paper (with their store addressed) had an item on sale but the store did not charge me the sale price, maybe theyll honor it tomorrow. On a positive note, the manger/supervisor handled the situation well tonight. I wasnt happy with her response but she wasnt rude, she said come back tomorrow and shed take care. Update to come pending tomorrows experience. Until then ** rating Update * rating dealt with the same lady she did not honor the price in the sales paper. Silly her, I was refunded instead and the store lost money. Ill bring my business elsewhere.

The Cottage St Pawtucket S &S Service desk staff was friendly and helpful in cashing an employee pay check, more so than No Smithfield. I also needed help with an item that there wasnt enough stock on the shelve, I asked a front store employee staff who immediately got someone from the back how came within minutes of the call. He got the bottles of water I needed on the bottom of a stack on an end cap with no problem. This made my experience at this store extremely pleasant.

Highly disappointed!!! I called to find out if the sea food department was going to open till 8 and I got a verbal confirmation from James in costumer Service that it would be.I drove from the other side of town just to walk in a see a sign saying “temporary closed”. What a waste of my time and gas.

The Pawtucket location doesn’t get as much funding as the surrounding S&S’s do. This has caused problems like not being able to find certain regular vegetables all season or DURING season. It has caused employees to not care if there is rice on the floor (which is like a banana peel in a cartoon), it doesn’t have a good cheese selection, meat slicers aren’t cleaned in between brands or different meats- (this girl is allergic to certain meats and to a ingredient in the s&s brand and needs that cleaning ), On certain days they run out of a lot of stuff and don’t restock until mid week. I have found really cool and good ingredients and products at both the providence location and South Attleboro location but they don’t exist here. I feel like I have to go out of my way for a better store that is given the time and energy instead of just walking across the street. When you walk inside you can even tell that it isn’t funded as much. The lights are different, the display is different, the aisles are narrower, the self scanners are lower tech. I’m no longer going to support this particular location.Updating post strike: don’t buy their meat right now. It’s giving everyone I know digestive problems. If it is on sale, stay the heck away from it.

Just went to make a Turkey sandwich and the meat is bad! I bought this less than 72 hrs ago! When I called there was so apologies or anything. Just bring it back and we will replace it. I dont want you disgusting meat anymore. I wanted what I paid for when I paid for it. Now I have to find another ride just to bring back YOUR rotten meat! Thanks for nothing

Good location and has a Citizens Branch inside. Watch out for the robot that patrols the aisles. ;)

It can get really crowded in here during peak hours. Try to avoid it between 5-7 pm. Other than that I have no complaints. Decent grocery store, lots of weekly sales.

I feel like since the strike your prices have been extremely jacked up shortly after you reopened the food was not fresh I have found Market Basket to be much more reasonable for the same exact food at a much lower price

One of the best grocery stores around. Well managed, new checkouts are opened quickly when theres a line, and produce is fresh. Plenty of parking.

This is my favorite store. I have the loyalty card and use coupons. I save quite a bit doing that, and get gas points as well.

I shop here all the time. They have a great pharmacy who are all really nice. The store is always stocked and if they dont have something you can get a rain check.

Besides being considerably durty, management allows their customers to let their pets ride in the shopping carts, where people put their food, or in the child seat where a child who might be allergic to animals might sit. There is a loss prevention robot that seems to have no sencor to avoid a living person. Management and other employees allow teenagers to ride the handicapped carts around the store endangering other customers. Employees either take smoke brakes at the propane gas tanks, or allow customers to do so. and there is ALWAYS a automobile parked in the fire lane. It seems WHENEVER I go into this store, I see customers being literally endangered. Ill never spend my money in there again.

Stop & Shop is great place to go grocery shopping, you can find the best magazines.If you dont want to wait in line than go the front entrance and there is a own check out and you can do it quickly.

This is a huge store! Very happy that they have 20 pound bags of ice for my cooler.

Prices are very here. I shop late at night, you never know what ŷou are going to get when you purchase from the meat dept. Everything that is left over from the day is wrapped together and sold at a higher prove. I bought family pack of hamburger and it was mixed with older meat, with the goog meat showing on the outside. On the inside, the meat was brown and I couldnt trust it.The sales that are going on dont apply to late night shoppers.The gas points you get for savings are swallowed up by the actual price of the gas at the pump. Vegetable 0rice are very high, but they make the arrange look good. The store is ful) of trickery.

Only occasionally, for sale items & items not sold by other stores. I might move my prescriptions & annual flu, + shots somewhere else. Way Overpriced on everything compared to some other stores. I can not afford to shop here regularly or for every grocery item. I would starve! However I could spend my $ $ on food at another few markets & make out like a Queen! Im talkin Everything !

Everyone else who leaves a poor feedback is just because they had a bad experience on that day. Its not the workers fault for doing their job. They have to follow the rules and regulations of the store. You all have to take into consideration that in the retail business anywhere, its gonna be the same thing with rules and regulations. Just cause you couldnt get your way doesnt mean to post all mean things about the overall performance of the store.I, personally, have been going to Stop & Shop since they first opened after Almacs closed down. My family goes there, too. I cant say that their service is excellent, but I can say that if you need help and theyre on the floor, you can always go to someone and they do try and help you the best way they can. The store is clean and the only time it isnt when people let their kids run around unattended for and they destroy things. They COULD do better with their PRICES to attract more customers. BETTER QUALITY + LOWER PRICES = MORE CUSTOMERS. LESS QUALITY - POOR SERVICE = ANGRIER & LESSER CUSTOMERS..........Just saying. I shop around to cheaper stores with same quality. On a fixed Income we all basically have in this economy today, we have to shop where it is cheaper, even if it means poor service. If its not on the shelves and you cant find someone to help and check in the back, well then that just means we go to the next store. The only thing I love about Stop & Shop is their BAKERY DEPARTMENT & PRODUCE DEPARTMENT. Other than that I can go somewhere else for the rest, just cheaper. HAPPY SHOPPING & SAVING MONEY!!!!!!!

I got there at 8:50pm on a sunday and had 10 minutes before they closed; i had to buy my baby formula and they declined me to go inside real quick to grab the formula. Wont be coming to this one ever again!
