This place is unlike anything else. It would be a good candidate for #AtlasObscura. All I can say is that once you visit Cedar Chest, you will never forget it. Everyone should visit at least once. And if you are traveling through, give it a peek.

Was unsure of their hours.. saw the open sign and walked in to get ice cream. We were immediately confronted by barking dogs and clutter. We were rudely approached by a woman who told us they were closing in five minutes and she was not willing to serve us. We understand coming in at closing, (we didn’t know and awkwardly turned around to the door.. but was not a good first impression towards us with her attitude, barking dogs and the mess. We love to support local businesses, but will not be back to this establishment.

Wow!!! The dust!! The unsanitary handling of the ice cream cones! The vast collection of junk! My recommendation to the owner: Stick with your 2 best sellers and get rid of all the other junk. Youre not Wahooz.

Family owned business. Beautiful people, beautiful souls. Fantastic ice cream with a time warp back into the 50s. A business ethic that is now nearly extinct.

Worst Customer service Ive ever witnesssed ecspecially for a family attraction place like that... Good quality ice cream. I feel like I stepped into a 50s ice cream parlor.

Dirty place, nasty bathrooms bad service and had hardly any ice creams... wont come back!

Its a cute store however there wasnt much of a selection for old school candies. Also we ordered waffle bowls and they where very stale and the ice cream very hard.

This is great for all ages i definatley reccommend it
