Ive been there twice. The first time was to pick up a tool. Quick transaction. The second time I went was for a specific yarn. There were 4 women excitedly unpacking a shipment which contained the yarn I was hoping to find. I was told I couldnt purchase it because it hadnt been put in the system yet. I asked about another yarn and, without even looking up from her work, a store employee waved her arm and said, Its probably back there. Not the warm and friendly atmosphere I was hoping to find in a local yarn shop.

Every time Ive been to Sugarfoot, Ive had excellent customer service. I love the selection of yarns at Sugarfoot, everything from luxury fibers or locally hand-dyed artisan yarn, to economical yarns for the crafter on a budget. Even on the occasions when they didnt have exactly what I needed, they gave me suggestions of where to buy, or offered to put in a special order if I wanted. The only downside is I moved, and its a long drive to visit! If you guys ever consider opening up a branch on the west side of town, let me know.

I have never had an issue because of my age with the staff here. I am 34, look like I am 24. People react to the energy around them. Walk in happy and smiling, it is hard not to smile back. Only the most negative sort can resist. But even shop staff can have the worst sort of day. Everyone is human. These are lovely people. Please give them another chance if you had a bad experience

My experience at Sugarfoot Yarns started 12 days ago when i went into order more yarn for my grandmother who is in the middle of making something. The lady searched the computer and found none to be in the store so i placed an order for 3 spools. she took all my info: name, number, amount needed. I asked how long it would take and she said whenever they decide to order it. My mother called back today 5/14 only to find that an order to that yarn company was placed on 5/10 but there not sure if it was our order or someone elses. They had no recollection of me going there nor did they have any of the order information. she was rude on the phone and did not even offer an apology for the mix up. she did not care that my grandmother has been waiting close to 2 weeks. Wont be going back there. do not recommend. bad service.

Actually accused me of having them lose a sale because another lady and I were talking. I spent over $1500 in this store and they were rude to me over what they thought was a $10 lost sale from someone else. they didnt even carry what the lady wanted (fiber to spin) Its been a year and a half and I refuse to buy anything from them now. I hope they like the loss in my sales from their rudeness. Im 32 and have years in years of knitting and buying power left in me. Have fun with the blue hairs that you cater to instead of people who spend more money.TL/DR. They are rude unless you are over 50 and dont truly care about their customers.

I do not live in GA but I have family who does. One of my three Peachtree City grand-daughters is a knitter like I am and we have had wonderful times riding over in the golf cart to Sugar Foot Yarns. Their shop is crammed full of beautiful samples of projects that will whet the appetite of all fiberholics like myself. It is so much fun to take several hours and thoroughly walk through the shop looking and touching, talking with the capable and enthusiastic staff. They answer questions and offer advice generously. They have encouraged my grand-daughter and added new knitting skills to her repertoire. She was so lucky to be in a class recently where there was just one other person learning a new pattern for a lovely shawl. Grandma, it was SO MUCH FUN! she told me. I was so happy that I had been able to give her the gift of the yarn for the project and the class so that she might have someone closeby to learn from since I live 700+ miles away.I might suggest to the Grandma who ran out of yarn for her project to make certain the next time to purchase the recommended amount and not try to skimp with fewer balls. Even purchasing one extra ball might bring much peace of mind and save the frustration of reordering, worrying whether the material is still available, the dye lot the same, etc.I cant think of a more fun yarn store to visit than Sugar Foot. Take your favorite yarnaholic buddy (in my case, it is my grand-daughter) and spend several delightful hours there. And then stop by the nearby ice-cream store and have a chocolate sundae. You will be glad you did! WHAT FUN!

After three and a half hours without a return call, I called again. The woman was terse - not the way to get new customers.
