Buyer beware....I am very disappointed and feel deceived by the store manager, John Gomez, in Peachtree City. I came in this week on 9/29/21 to look at drum sets for my sons 13th birthday the following day. We looked at three different sets they had. He recommended either the Tama set or the Pearl roadshow set. I liked both but what sold me on the Pearl set is that he said it came with the three Zildjian cymbals, the high-hat, ride and crash. So I came back after talking to my son about it to make sure thats what he wanted for his 13th birthday. He confirmed so I went back on 10/1/21 to purchase the set. John also recommended the silencing set when I asked him about quieting the drums down. He stated that the drum mute box set would fit the three toms, the snare, and the three cymbals. The problem is....when we got home and we put the drums together, we soon noticed the pads did not fit. The main reason is we had different cymbals than what we were told. We also had no high-hat or stand for a high-hat. The cymbals were not Zildjian either. I went into the store this morning to ask John what happened. Right away he stated that he made a mistake and that set didnt come with Zildjian cymbals. When I reminded him that he said they did and that he also stated that the set included a high-hat, he recalled the conversation. Its like he knew all along that he was selling me the wrong set or deceiving me. I asked what he was going to do about this but he said there was nothing he could do. Just make sure what you are buying as their advertising and manager (John Gomez) was very deceptive....and had no desire to make it right.
Courteous and knowledgeable, a great resource for any level and any breed of musician
Not professional at all!!! They tell you anything to get off the phone. Sad
I have been there years ago.The staff and employee was good but the guiter instructor was so bad old white men. For my experience, one day i wanted tell him I want to quick. And I said that. And then he walks around us and said to me I am a good teacher... I have right to quit my lesson and he do not have right to treared me. It was so bad happen and I very frastrate that he still there.
They were extremely nice, took some time to talk us through the products and with the info we gained we were able to make an informed decision. We bought a fantastic built in keyboard and it has been everything we wanted and the some.
Kool stuff for great prices! The lessons sound good too!
I sent my flute in to be repaired. I got am estimate of $150 to repair a few pads, fit a tenon, and realign/clean the rod and keys. When I picked up my flute, they had not only done all that, but had also fixed my flute case, place a brand new handle, cleaned the case, removed a number of dents, plus everything they said they were going to do, and still charged the same amount. I was very impressed and would absolutely go back
Called and talked to Patrick about my sons saxophone. He was very professional and knowledgeable; had answers to all my questions. Traveling from Carrollton, he held an instrument for us until we got there! Thanks for your excellent customer service.
I’ve come in a number of times since we got our rental here. Knowledgeable staff and very helpful. I’m not well versed in the string category and they are always willing to share their knowledge as well as give recommendations.
Wonderful its always a good experience dealing with the staff!!!
The negative reviews Ive read for this place are nonsense. The staff are very friendly and will help you out. They may not have an enormous selection, but most stores dont. You have to understand that they cater to more than just the solo musician. Theyll order whatever you need if youre serious about buying it. Great store.
I needed music I’m a teacher I go there quite often. They are very cordial I would say then they could be more helpful. I do Think the music set up could be in order. Over all I find the store in a much better service than it was a year ago . These people acknowledge you are there when you walk in and are nice .Not just speaking to you and ignoring your visit, as in the past.
Had a Bach Stradivarius trumpet overhauled, cleaned, refurbished before I sold it. The service was not cheap, but the quality of the work was superb! The 24-year old horn looked almost brand new after chemical flush and re-work of valves, slides, as well as dent removal, and polish. It sold very quickly and a potential buyer, who happened to be a former professional musician, commented on how well it was serviced. Was very glad that I spent the money to have it serviced before it sold.
I placed an online order almost 20 days ago, I have yet to receive my order, but the funds have been taken from my account. I have emailed them twice to get a status update and have had no response. When Ive called the person I spoke to said it was in hold but couldnt tell me why. Said they fixed the problem and I should have my order in the next week. Still nothing. Now I just want my money back and will find another music store to do business with.
Do not give your debit card number to these people. They take what you give them permission and then try to take 150. Then 200. Then another 100. Costs 200. In overdraft fees.
In the past, this location of Music and Arts has been awful - no service, no knowledge and low inventory. However, yesterday I stopped in to pick up some reeds. WOW - totally remodeled, inventory was well stocked and best of all - staff was courteous and knowledgeable. The new manager, Nelson, had turned this store into a top notch music store.
Nice and friendly. Very helpful . Me and my girlfriend went in to buy a flute music book, we was very pleased with the gentleman who helped us.
They charged us for saxophone lessons during the holidays, when we said we wouldn’t be there. They refused to give us credit or money back. This store never has a manager to speak to and there is no communication when it comes to music lessons.
The store employees are always helpful and welcoming when you come into the store. The remodeling also brightens up the atmosphere. If you are looking to buy an instrument, music, a guitar or want to take lessons, just ask for the store manager John and he will fix you right up.
Horrible service. Took my sons instrument in for two pads to be replaced. Took an entire week to get a quote. Was then given a $300 quote of all this work that needed to be done. Spent the next 2 weeks asking about the status of my repair, not understanding why replacing 2 pads was taking almost 3 weeks. They dont call back when they say they will and I wouldnt trust them with your instrument. We had to speak to the regional manager to get our instrument back. They were also suppose to compensate us for our inconvenience and yeah that never happened.
Jakarb (is that how you spell it?) Does a fantastic job with customer service, and is very friendly. He was helpful when I needed things and also encouraging when I played any of the instruments. He did a great job managing everything on his own.
We love this store. The staff is always knowledgeable and helpful. They have found us some great deals on trumpets and helped us with repairs.
Had a project to do for class and Patrick was great in helping me find the right recording and studio equipment
We went in the store yesterday and the employee kicked me out of the store because I have a legitimate medical condition that prevents me from wearing a mask. Lost out on my business.
Unfortunately I cannot recommend any parent to rent an instrument from music and arts. I returned the instrument, there was no outstanding balance.I continued to receive collection phone calls for music and arts. I provided them with the final receipt stating at zero balance. Three calls to their Corporate Center in Virginia and it is yet to be resolved. Their overall attitude is dismissive and customer service is not a priority. Please save yourself the headache and utilize a different music rental company for your students band needs.
Not a fan of this place. Over the years I have had many bad experiences here.1. Dropped off my daughter’s saxophone to be sent off to be repaired. I showed up two weeks later expecting to pick it up only to find that it had never been sent off. Seriously?2. Several years later, I went in and paid off my daughter’s saxophone. My wife’s credit card was still charged for a year beyond the payoff because the store employee didn’t code it correctly. I had to go through a lot of hoopla to get this corrected.3. Most recently I dropped my other daughter’s clarinet off with a single specified repair to be done. The store employee could not give me an estimate. I was told I would receive an email with an estimate - it didn’t happen. When I finally called, I got an estimate for a lot of other “repairs” I didn’t ask for.Unfortunately, there isn’t a lot of choice in this area.
I’m not a musician so I needed the staff of this store for all my questions. Jukabiea (he asked me to call him JKB) had all the patience in the world and was very kind and helpful with me. I will definitely return.
Came in to buy a trumpet. Joanna went out of her way to make sure I got the best one of the brand I wanted available. I couldnt have asked for better service
Signed up for lessons here, and was guaranteed a free guitar after the first month of lessons. After my first month, I was denied the instrument and excuse after excuse was made to justify their decision to not follow through with their word. Don’t shop here unless you like being lied to.
It was not easy to work with them to accomplish what I wanted. As a musician for 20 years, I was looking for a place to get some music equipment. Though the staff were friendly, their policies were not.I was miffed when they could not get the item I wanted, then they said I would not be able to turn in the gift card for cash. This was disappointing to me. It does not speak well of customer service or helpfulness toward the customers goals. If youre looking for solutions regarding stringed instruments, I would recommend a local violin shop around the Atlanta area instead of the chain approach here. Or try to find what you want online.
Patrick was a great help in finding the perfect reed case
Very knowledgeable and are there to help.
Looked great for a right handed player... but lefties shouldnt even waste their time unless you want a $100 starter...
I bought a Piccolo at an academy in November, but I had a problem with my bag, so I visited him on November 15 and asked the company again, the staff told me. However, the company did not call back after a month, but the answer was not from the company. So I applied again. But now the year has changed and they still cant reach me. Im really angry when I have to wait.
If I could give zero stars I would. Staff are incompetent and dishonest. We set up lessons, called to confirm an hour before our first lesson, arrived early and was told sorry, we dont have you set up. Was told they will fix it and call back that evening. Never called back, I called several times, more lies and was jerked around for two weeks. Eventually returned the rental instrument and was treated rudely.
Love this store, and for brass and woodwind instruments and accessories.
I wouldnt say its the most amazing selection, but the staff are quite nice and the prices arent terrible. Descent local music shop
Needed a new book for my band class and went down here with my mom very neat and organized place!
Helpful and courteous staff
