Big Horn BBQ is super unique! I absolutely love this place. They have an awesome atmosphere with Texan culture and amazing food! The service is great and the food is even better! The facility is also very clean. I would recommend this place to my closest friends and family. The only thing that I would suggest to management is to keep the brisket warm/hot before putting onto the loaded baked potato. My brisket was cold.

Decent food. The pulled pork nachos are great and the loaded baked potato is good, too. Would love to see rolls over bread slices, and the soft drinks are frequently flat. The prices are too high for the food quality they provide.On occasion, many tables are not cleaned and dirty dishes are left sitting there. Food service employees are attentive and friendly. Please keep your soft drinks up and running properly!August 2021 - I’ve noticed that this restaurant is on the decline with dirty tables, flat drinks, and unclean restrooms! It’s hard to believe they are so busy, but there are few food options in the immediate area. Hopefully they can move beyond mediocrity in the near future. Always delicious barbecue. We have gotten take out here dozens of times over the last few years. Love the three me plate with pork ribs jalapeno sausage and brisket. Their cheesecake is worthy of the cheesecake factory. Price is fair for high quality BBQ. Order ahead and save time.

This is review is for the location at 20211 hwy 6 Manvel, TX.Sunday afternoon husband and I decided to have BBQ, our usual BBQ place had just closed so husband decided to drive to hwy 6. BIG MISTAKE. He ordered one sliced beef sandwich and one baked potato with meat. The total was $23.26. OUTRAGEOUS for what we got. I have attached pictures. The sandwich had barely enough meat on it and was fatty. Once fat was removed there was barely enough meat to cover the bottom bun, so basically I had bread, sauce and a morsel of meat. The potato had a slight amount of meat on it with lots of fat mixed in, the rest was potato. Needless to say because the food was picked up and brought home to eat the option of returning it for a refund wasnt an option. I dont know if the food was like this because of the location or what. What I do know is we will not be returning to this location again. As for the taste of the food, it was hard to tell on the sandwich due to the fact that it was mostly bread and sauce. The potato had very dry brisket ( very small amount) and the potato tasted old. We will stick to our usual BBQ place from now on.

The combination dinner with 2 meats and 2 sides for less than $20 was a good deal. I had the pork ribs and brisket with a double portion of green beans. The ribs and brisket were nicely smoked and delicious. The staff was very good. The dining area was clean and spacious. Parking was very convenient. They also have a nice store where we purchased some tasty treats for the road.

This location is easy to find, right off of Highway 6. The food was so tasty, full of flavor, hot and fresh. The customer service was also great. Would definitely come back again.

Found a neat BBQ place in Manvel, Texas. Restaurant was up to date and clean, staff was friendly and helpful, and the food was outstanding!

First time eating here and let me tell you this place has some really delicious bbq brisket and ribs. The mash and pinto beans were delicious too..Was not expecting a 5 star place to eat and its my top 5 for sure. I would definitely go out of my way to eat here. Go get u some BIG HORN BBQ!! You wont be disappointed!!

It is super convenient but the food is just ok, not great. Portions are great. I think 3.5 stars is more appropriate.

The staff is not very friendly but the food is delicious. I had the brisket, sausage, and the pinto beans and it was all delicious. Its a spacious place and the decor is very nice

First time visiting this restaurant and I would give it 5 stars but our food was cold both the meats and the sides. I drove down from Humble because of the great reviews and I was in the area. The meats (brisket, sausage, and ribs) were very well seasoned and cooked. The staff was nice and friendly and the restaurant was really clean. I liked the decor and the space between all the tables. They had a lot of different options for food and desserts. Would definitely give them another try if the opportunity presented itself. We really loved the way the food tasted. Please do better at keeping the food warm.

Really enjoy their burgers. Theyre half pound and have a great smoky flavor. Fries arent always crisp but have a nice seasoning on them. Onion rings are my favorite.

Gas station BBQ sounds gross, eh?Not at this place! I know of 2 locations, and beside being a well stocked gas station, the Q is excellent, the restaurant is clean and the desserts are good, too.

I go there almost every week. I absolutely love their breakfast sandwich. Egg is cooked well and the bacon has a good taste. The croissant is delicious!! Haven’t had anything else on the menu to be honest.

We tried the Manvel location for the first time ever tonight. We paid over $9 each for 3 chopped beef sandwiches. They barely had ANY meat at all on them & what little it did have was pieces of fat!... It was all bun...We also ordered some brisket...It was lacking in flavor & really dry ... We wont be ordering again because we spent a lot of money & were very disappointed.

This is my last time coming to this restaurant. The young lady with the dark hair ( I believe Hispanic) working the drive thru is rude, short and always seem annoyed. I try to be respectful and say yes ma’am and thank you. Have a good day. Etc. No response. We are in the middle of a pandemic! You all are handling food with no masks on. Workers in the back too! I’m not putting another cent into a business who has poor customer service. You don’t want my money that’s fine with me!P.S The service is way better on the inside!

Great place! Ive had the sliced turkey, sliced brisket (both lean and fatty cut), pulled pork and the ribs so far. All excellent! Tender enough to cut with a fork. The fried okra and sweet potatoes are amazing! All the sides Ive tried are really good too and the sweet tea is awesome. Ive had the pleasure of dealing with Amy just about every time I go and shes great. Oh, I almost forgot about their breakfast burritos. Those are just down right tasty. Both the brisket and the bacon with egg, bean and cheese. Just cant go wrong with this place!

Came here with the team for lunch. Ambience is great. Good selection of food to pick from. I chose the Chicken Fried Steak. It was good but not the best; it was dry. The others I were with enjoyed their meat selections. Sides are also good. The portion size is on the high side; works better if you go in really hungry ;-)Parking was not an issue. They have adequate seating for a lot of people but I imagine the place would be crowded in the weekends.

Although the food is typically always great, ordering over the phone for pick up, the prices of everything are much more than the menu online. Disappointed. Menu should be updated or prices shown should be honored.

My experience at this location is definitely better than the location on 288 Northbound (Pearland). The line was not long at all yet the quality of food want just as good. I was able to call in my order. And pick it up with no problems or dramatic waits. Although i picked up my food from the inside, I noticed that the drive through line was not long either. If you ever visit this location try their barista area where make fresh milkshakes, and frozen coffee drinks too. its really nice. Staff was very friendly with great Southern Hospitality... What made my visit was when I called back to add 2 items to my order. They immediately recognized my voice and addressed me by name. Its always a good service etiquette when customers are remembered and called by their name. Big Horn Manvel ..... I will be back!!!

I love their BBQ. Could use a little more variety in the vegetable sides but it’s consistent and yummy. Also, this location is WAY less busy than the other one. Worth driving south from mid pearland.

Big Horn BBQ is the best gas station on Route 6. I’ve never ate at the restaurant part so I can’t make an opinion on that yet but the gas station part was very spacious and had a lot of merchandise to offer. (Snacks, to go foods, candy, coffee, pop, lottery, cigarettes, etc).The beer & wine booth was impressive and even their coffee was fresh & decent which is rare for most gas stations. Also the staff were very friendly and helpful. The only down side is that they aren’t open 24hrs. Keep up the great job guys :-)

I give two stars due to sweet tea being good and the fried okra being the best side out of 6 I had. Now for the bad... this was the driest brisket I have ever had. The Mac n cheese was bland, the broccoli salad was good but there was so much liquid you needed a spoon, the green beans tasted like a can, the coleslaw had no flavor. The worst part is an extra side is $3.75 and my entire meal (for 2) was $41.

Let me start by saying, the food is good. No issue there. However, I want to highlight the customer service by one of the employees at the Manvel location: Chris was amazing. There was a misunderstanding regarding a transaction discrepancy, and it seems after he noticed the situation escalating with the manager, Chris jumped in and attempted to resolve the situation out of his own pocket. He definitely did not have to do that but he did out of the kindness of his heart. Once the restaurant canceled the transaction a few moments later, I went back up and paid it right back to him. Even though I do wish the situation could have been handled more gracefully from both ends, I wanted to publicly commend Chris on his customer service. He deserves a promotion!

Love BBQ it was good...I got the pulled pork nachos, they need some work, plate over loaded with chips which is fine but, no where near the amount of cheese needed and very skimpy on the pulled pork, the cheese sauce needs some help with the flavor! Small condiment plates are necessary! Maybe a few different versions of the BBQ sauce! The sauce was overly sweet and spicy, theyre new so Id expect that it gets better!

Tried this place as were in the area. Was really looking forward to trying something new but was disappointed. The servers were inexperienced and were having trouble cutting meat and serving. I ordered the 3 meat plate at 18.00 and got chicken, brisket and ribs. The chicken was good but the PC was small. The brisket was all fat and super salty. The ribs were OK but the texture was a little off. My wife ordered a brisket sandwich but couldnt eat it because it was so salty. My daughter ordered the pulled pork sandwich and seemed to like it. I ordered half a lb of sausage on the side and it was $11 which is way too much. All this could be overlooked but there were flies buzzing around the serving area and all over the dining room. We didnt finish our food because everytime you looked at your food there was a knat or a fly crawling on it. Not a good way to spend ~65.00 and would not come back.

2 meat plate. Brisket, chicken, slaw, yams. Sauce is way too strong, over powers the meat. Chicken has good flavor but very dry. Brisket is good, no complaints. Could get better slaw at kfc. Yams were alright, bit too much cinnamon for me. Would not pay 18 dollars for this meal again.

We picked up burgers, chopped beef sandwiches and pork ribs from the drive thru, all fantastic. I tried the green beans, that wont ever happen again, the flavor was less than appealing to me. Good thing we go for the BBQ. Potato salad was delicious.

At 6pm, a bit disappointed this visit.. no ham, no baked potatoes... didnt seem very busy. Hot sides were not hot, barely warm.

Went through the drive-thru to pickup a few items. The staff member was patient while my wife had to call her mother to confirm her order. Thankfully, there was nobody behind us waiting. The gentleman took our order and we drove up. It only took a few minutes to get our order together and we headed home. My mother-in-law had the rib sandwich meal that came with fries and she really enjoyed it. My wife had the kids chicken nuggets meal with fries and an extra side of fried okra. The kids meal was far from it because it was more of an adult portion with 3 chicken tenders and a bunch of fries. The fried okra was great. Although I didnt order anything, I ended up finishing my wifes fries and okra. She definitely wasnt expecting such a large portion for a kids meal. Overall, everything was great. Although we have a closer location, this has been our go to location. Their food preparation and service has been consistent on every visit.

The brisket on my sandwich was very tender and flavorful but one would think, when you see large bun, the meat would at least fill it up. Their onion rings are wonderful and the fries were pretty good too!

Ribs were fall off the bone juicy. Sauce not needed but was a good compliment. Potato salad and coleslaw both fresh and tasty. Highly recommended and will return soon.

Went to Big Horn today, me and my husband love going here as often as we can, which isnt very often but we drive about 30 to 45 minutes away just to eat here lmfao. But today was an awesome experience, as we drove by the gas pumps they had multiple employees out at the gas pumps cleaning everything :) Im so so happy to see that these generous people care for others like they do :)God Bless yall#BigHorn

When the Manvel store first opened it quickly became our go to burger option. The bun was a very tasty brioche-like bun and the meat was delicious. Now we supposedly get the option of standard bun or sourdough bun and the meat is not as flavorful as it once was.The last two times we have ordered we requested the sourdough bun, but the standard bun is what comes on the order. Can the lady taking the order not properly indicate the type of bun requested on the order? Does the short-order cook not know how to read an order? Worse still, do they not care?I give this review two stars because the sides are always good.

First time going here and there food is great so far. Havent tried everything on the menu but will definitely go back for more. They got my order wrong which was not a big deal, were all human :) and when I went back they happily corrected it and also gave me a free banana pudding! The pudding is also amazing, definitely get that! Little or big gem in Manvel!

Bbq is Bland no flavor but the people themselves are welcoming, Old Bucs BBQ is good which .05 of a mile east of Big Horn ...But other than that great atmosphere and comfortable place.

Food is flavorful but a little pricey. There is no consistency in the amount you get especially on the bake potatoes with beef. The amount of chopped beef placed in bake potatoes and potatoe size is where inconsistencies are. Of course you can not have exact potatoe size but you sure can weigh out amount of chopped beef. Tea is good and not over sweetened. Overall it is average and no show stopper

I have never posted a review much less a negative review however I have been in the drive thru line for over 30 minutes. I understand it is Saturday night and things are busy however this is ridiculous. It was daylight when I got in line. It is 8 PM and I am still in line.

We stopped in for dinner. A little leary about a BBQ place attached to a gas station, but we were very happy with Big Horn BBQ. We split a 3 meat plate with Ribs, Brisket and Chicken all were delicious. We will make this a frequent stop when coming down highway 6 to Alvin.

Good bbq pulled pork...bit on the high$$ but good taste to the good

Last time i came this direction my boyfriend and i stopped by the gas station connected with this bbq place and bought a quick brisket sandwich didnt realise until the second trip this way we stopped and went in the actual restaraunt sat down and had a plate and wow! This place has amazing bbq and sides this has got to be one of my new favorite places to get a bbq fix! Highly recommend to anyone wanting some good bbq!
