I found Extra Space online and received a follow-up call moments after booking my reservation. Curious to see the actual space, I asked the rep if I could visit the site before committing. Kim was amazing! When I arrived, she offered to drive me to the unit via her golf cart. We headed back to the office to get set up which was smooth as she explained the rate/monthly charge for service. A few clicks later, I had my gate access code and was headed out the door. Great looking facility and even better service. Thanks, Kim. I look forward to moving a few things in.

I love that it offers climate controlled units and has elevator access and they provide carts to make moving your things easier. All the employees are extremely helpful at answering questions and getting you situated with your unit as well as making move out a breeze. Lou was so nice on the phone. I am relocating post graduation and she was able to get me all sign up, checked in and ready over the phone. I anticipate a quick easy relocation of my belongings into this facility. I chose the drive up location for ease of access and the price is extremely reasonable.

The front desk worker, Kim, has had nothing but attitude towards me both times Ive been in. When I went in the first time she had acted like I was making her job difficult because I needed the gate code to get into the storage unit. Since it wasnt under my name but my moms, she couldnt give it to me. She didnt need to give me attitude but I understood that she couldnt give me the information.Then I had called my mom and told her that I would like to put my name on the account so I can pay for it. Based on what my mom was told, there was paper work that needed to be filled out in order to change the card and account number. By the way this information was texted to my mother, not through a professional email or through a phone call to go over the process in detail. So based off the text message my mom got, which Ive also attached as proof, I went in and said hello and told her that I believe I have some paper work to fill out. With an attitude and again like I was making her life difficult, she had claimed she spoke to my mom in detail that she needed to fill out forms and and that my mother needed to tell her if she wanted to go forward with it. She spoke to me as if I was a child who couldnt understand. I made sure I understood and confirmed that it was my mom who needed to fill out forms before i could, and i walked out.. I had called my mom right after and left her a voicemail that she had to fill out forms before I could.I then left to fix the storage unit lock, and I had my husband with me, and told him how she spoke to me with attitude both times i went in. So I asked him to go in and get her name. So he went in asked for her name and told her he was my husband, he made it clear he didnt need to have an explanation of what was going on, just a name. And of course she gave him attitude and reluctantly told him her name.A few hours pass and I get a missed call from extra space and I call back. Kim says that she spoke to my mom and explained it to her what she needed to do.I waited for my mom to call back and asked her if Kim had called her and, my mom has been working all day and didnt receive a call from her. And my mom ended up texting her because of the voicemail that I had left her after the incident, and she texted her to please send her the documents for her to sign. (Pictured in screen shot.)I work in customer service, and I understand that sometimes working with people isnt easy, but if you cant communicate to a client with respect regardless of your feelings, then dont be in a business where you have to communicate with people. The second I get a chance, I will be speaking to the owner of this location.

I would say that the customer service is superb... however they make it more personal than feeling like a customer... It’s like going to cheers where the ladies always know your name... and your families names...In a time where most are impersonal... this is the perfect place to store your personal belongings within a welcoming and safe environment.

I would like to share my recent experience with this company. Staff are great, no changes with that. However, the cost of my unit has increased from the initial start date of $31.00, to $41.00 and now the cost is $53.00. Why?There is no reason why I can see that this should change the storage fee. Has my storage unit grown in size? I will be removing all of my belongings to cut this cost from my budget.The proper thing to do is inform your customers what will take place before you actually do it. Then give the the option to agree or disagree.So now instead of this company getting a guaranteed amount of profit each month from me. They will be downsized to nothing from this unit. Be prepared to place an “empty storage lock” in my absence; for you will not be getting another dime. This is a great example of how greedy business is done.I would like to thank you though. Because of your shady dealings I will be able to cut my budget by $53 a month.Thanks,

This is my second time with them.Had 10x10 rental space for a few years and the service and experience overall was great.This go ‘round is for RV Storage space. This was done all digitally and via phone. Was very easy and she stayed in the phone with me while I went through the emailed contact.Very much appreciate the hospitality and individual attention they have given me.

I reserved online and within less in a minute I received a phone call. The ladies were clear what info to bring and said: bring the lawn trailer 6*12 to be sure it ill fit instead doubting. Arrived and check the space 10*20.Is slightly tight space but once you get the hang of it you can go easily. The awesomeness now no more grabbing paper and pen. Everything was done through your personal phone & email. We were done in less 20 min. The ladies are so friendly keep it up :). I am glad I found this space everything what I need is super close by a gas station and home improvement retail store.

I am currently in the process of moving and dropped off my Uhaul rental to Extra Space Storage rather than the correct UHaul location (behind Extra Space Storage). After realizing my mistake I called Extra Space Storage and had the pleasure of chatting with Vivki who was not only understanding but went above and beyond to turn the UHaul key in for me to the correct location. Vicki was extremely professional, polite and comforting as I had returned to San Antonio to wrap up a few things and was worried about the error I made in the return. Vicki and Lou have great customer service and are very professional. I have been a customer for almost 3 yrs. I originally planned to only rent for 1yr but life happens. When it came to moving from a bigger unit to a smaller unit or when I lost the key to our lock (had to use a saw). Both of them were very helpful and very pleasant(thank you!!). This facility is near to our home, the grounds are secured with cameras and properly lite and they have different types of storage units with or without size A/C. Theses are some of the reasons why I gave Extra Space Storage FIVE STARs!

I HAD THIS STORAGE FOR TWO YEARS AND THATS MY FAULT I MOVED MOST OF THE ITEMS FROM A BIGGER STORAGE UNIT ON MAIN STREET IN HOUSTON THIS UNIT WAS SO MUCH CHEAPER I WAS PAYING THROUGH AUTO PAY THE FIRST YEAR THEN I STARTED RECEIVING POST CARDS FROM THEM SAYING THEY WERE GOING UP ON THE PRICE THE SECOND YEAR I HAD THE STORAGE THE PRICE WENT FROM 89.00 UP TO 134. ?SO THAT MOTIVATED ME TO CANCEL MY STORAGE WITH THEM . I DID I TALK TO THE PERSON IN THE OFFICE AND SHE SAID OK AND THAT SHE WOULD TAKE ME OFF OF AUTO PAY. WELL MY BANK CARD ALERTED ME THAT SHE DIDNTABOUT 6 DAYS BEFORE THE DUE DATE AND 3 DAYS AFTER THE STORAGE WAS CLEAN AND EMPTY SO I CALLED AND MONEY WAS RETURNED TO MY CARD WITH AN APOLOGY BUT OTHER THAN THAT IT IS A GREAT STORAGE SPACE VERY COURTEOUS AND CLEAN NICE PROFESSIONAL PEOPLE I WOULD USE THEM AGAIN IF NEEDED

My husband and I have stored items at this location since 2005. The location has been convenient, safe and clean. The changes to our storage needs have always been handled in the most professional and courteous manner. Especially when Vicky and Lou started working there. As we have made changes for storage space or rented a truck, they have asked the appropriate questions to assess our particular situation to recommend what is most cost effective.Unbeknown to Vicky & Lou; our situations at times, have been sensitive in nature such as a daughter fleeing from an unsafe living environment and needing to temporarily store her items to us having to split as a family so I could move to McAllen, Texas & provide care to my aging parents. Our related storage needs; that were often at a last minute notice, were always handled in the most courteous and efficient manner by Vicky and Lou.One could almost feel they knew our situation (but didnt) because they made the move and storage process go smooth...no problems. Their style and manner is genuine and caring. They truly make us feel supported. JUST LIKE FAMILY!So thank you Vicky & Lou. I have a storage unit at Extra Space. I went there yesterday to pick up some documents. I picked up documents and thought that I put them in my car. I got home and realized that I didnt have them. I couldnt imagine what I had done with the documents. Very shortly after getting home I got a call from the staff at Extra storage who told me that I had actually left the documents outside. They had retrieved the documents and held them until the next day when I was able to pick them up. I am very appreciative for the care attention to detail and the reminder call to me. The documents are very important and I would be in great distress if I had lost them. Thanks to the kind work of the staff at extra storage.

I highly recommend this location. The employees are friendly and the units are great. Everything is very clean and secure. The customer service here is excellent! My boyfriend was out of town working and he got a call from Lou. His card wasn’t going through but she helped him use another form of payment.
