Went to Five Star after experiencing car trouble while traveling from out of town. Todd looked at the issue with very minimum wait time and was able to fix it. We had no additional issues after the repairs and was very pleased with the service, attitude, and customer service of Todd and Dixie!

Great place to take your vehicle for any repairs. Staff is great, honest people. Mike is a great person. Very honest and affordable in his pricing. Got my radiator fixed by him. Tire changed too. This is the only mechanic shop Ill be coming to if needed. I highly recommend!!!

A young gentleman called me for a tow. He purchased a Ford SUV from this shop and barely had it a month and it needed a whole new engine. Poor young man had saved for a year to purchase this vehicle and the fact that they had no type of remorse or help is truly sad. There cars sit there for years and this poor young man wasnt aware.... Definitely not a good company to do business with

This place sold me at total lemon for my first car. It only lasted me a month and then broke down. Turns out the car needs a whole new engine put in it. They act nice and friendly but it’s all fake don’t trust them. I don’t recommend doing any type of business with them.

We bought a vehicle here recently and it only ran for a month. It was his first car and saved up for it for so long and it all went to the drain. So pls be ware. Cars here sit for a really long time, so don’t waste your time, money and energy. BAD BUSINESS. I hope I can give no start or -100 stars. They work with you! The clutch on my truck was sticking to the floor. I was nursing a blown lower back, so doing the work myself was out of the question for a couple of months. I had the parts and they replaced them without any hassle. I knew they would not warranty the parts and only the labor. That was the arrangement I expected, so I had no issue letting them do the work.Mike and his crew did a great job. The trucks clutch has been performing flawlessly.Thanks guys!

I just had my grand caravan worked on at five star automotive last week. They out in a new A/C compressor. Five star always do a fantastic job. They always back up all of their work. I have had a lot of work done they, and I have always been satisfied. This time was no different. I will not take my vehicles anywhere else.

Avoid this place at all costs. I paid for an alignment only to find out it was not done. I had to go all over town just to get a refund from the owner. Im not saying they cannot do the work, just a crooked way of running the business. Who makes their customers go get an alignment from someone else first before issuing a refund on work that was not completed by them to begin with? Please pay attention to the negative reviews and go elsewhere.

Everytime I go by 5 start automotive they ALWAYS help me out!!! I hurt my arm and needed a tire put on my rim. Not only did they do that for me but they even put my spare away and got rid of the bad tire with a very good price!! Definitely reccomend them!!

Mike fit me in last minute and understood my situation. They gave me a ride home and after only 2 hours diagnosed the problem and replaced my front brakes (which I knew needed to be done). No over charge or anything unneccessary. Thanks Mike, we will be back.

5 star gets 5 stars from me. The staff here are honest people. I lost my wallet in one of their vehicles. When I called to inquire, Mike went and checked the car immediately and reported he found it. I have also serviced my vehicle here and was very pleased. When its time to buy a used car, I will definitely be going to 5 star for the best value in town.

Great service! Mike is honest, reasonably priced, and transparent. Hes worked on every one of our cars in our family. We are fortunate to have found a auto shop we can depend on during our time here in Pensacola.

Mike sold me a car with a promise that if there were any issues he would take it in and make repairs for free or at a steep discount. We had test driven it for a total of about 20 minutes and everything seemed good. After I purchased it and drove it off the lot, it lasted 30 minutes before overheating. I immediately took it back and he offered to take a look at it. After a day or two with it, he said he didnt see anything wrong with it and that we should be good. It overheated on the way home, again. I took it back again, and it was the same story.Im in the military and had to leave soon on orders. Since there was no way that this car would make the trip, I was forced to ask Mike to buy it back. He used pressure tactics, saying that you dont have time to find something else to do with it, to get me to take his low offer. He gave me less that half what I gave to him.Im not sure if he then resold it to another unsuspecting customer but I would be wary of doing business with Five Star Auto.

Finally got the chance to come online and review Five Star. I typically dont do reviews but if a place impresses me I will.I have a very busy work schedule full of deadlines so calling in because of car problems is not the option. I knew something was going on with our work truck, my guess was the alternator so I called to get an estimate. I spoke with Mike and the first thing he says is lets do a diagnostic on it to rule out the battery.It ended up being the alternator but I appreciated that Mike was honest, upfront, personable and tried to go with the cheaper option of a fix first.But the best part is that, he gave a quote for the alternator and said they could change it right away and right away they did....we were back on our job site without losing even half a day.So from first impression, customer service, pricing, to the gentleman that actually changed out the alternator...I was impressed and will be back for any other issues or repairs

I was charged for a new air compressor that does not work til this day.took it to honda they told me the mechanic at five star cut my ground wire in half and hotwired the compressor to ignitionSo it ran all the time.Mike response:that has nothing to do w.him. what an answerIf you dont like Florida small claims ct system stay away from this site.

This place is very inefficient and unprofessional. Stay away! I had a weird noise coming from the engine, and I wanted somebody to pop the hood and listen to the noise and tell me what it might be. They put my car on the lift and lifted it about 2ft off the ground. They spent like 15 minutes writing down the VIN number, license plate number, and testing every single thing on my car. And I told them, Hurry up! I dont have all day. I need to be at work in a few minutes. But they just took their time. They tested brake, the turn signal and the headlights and everything you can imagine. Finally they told me what the problem was. I had a bad fuel injector. But this is something they could have diagnosed in under 3 minutes. They also put my car on the lift, which was totally unnecessary, and they positioned the lift incorrectly, so they damaged the body of my car while lifting it. They almost cut the fuel lines in half. I was very disappointed, and I dont know what to say. This is not what youd expect from a mechanic shop!

Great atmosphere and good service. Decided to buy a vehicle from them, and was out the door with the vehicle for much less than first advertised on the sticker. I would recommend them to anyone who needs a good, solid vehicle. They do stand behind what they sell.

I bought a set of barely used tires from these people. Not even 2 weeks later and one of the tires has broken a belt inside, and once all their protective gloss that they put on it wore off, I started noticing that the tires are dry rotted! I had another tire shop inspect the tires, because these people wouldnt answer the phone, I found out that the tires are 7 years old! Those tires should have never been sold to me, and now I have to spend more money to replace them!

They did great work! If you ever have electricial issues, they are the place to go to. The figured out my issues when other repair shops couldnt. I will definitely use them again. My alternator was failing and normal tests failed to detect that at other places. They replaced my alternator, and replaced one of my battery connectors.

Mother has multiple sclerosis and owner sold her a car that doesnt have AC when this was the major selling point. Head gasket blew and they gave her another car. Engine blew a few weeks later. Please visit if youd love a junkyard unit sold at a premium price higher than kbb thatll blow a few weeks in, or just fantasize about blowing money on scams. Thanks for making my mothers life miserable, wasting nearly five grand promising a decent vehicle to someone with a medical condition, and leaving her with no money for transportation for investing in garbage.

Very professional and good service.but after i got my brand new tires started having problems with them and called the owner said he would not warranty them and they aint even a month old and aint got 50000 miles like what the receipt says but he looks like Im going to half to get a lawyer and have this matter fixed.

I literally had been stranded on the side of the road today. I was going to have my car towed to the shop for repaur,but the owner Mike said to hang tight and hed send someone to me. What??? That is unheard of. The mechanic william came to my location, replaced my alternator and battery connectors and my truck is running awsome. If that aint customer service than I dont know what is. Thank you guys so very much for your kind efforts, and I will definitely be using them for all of my mechanical needs.

Alternator broke down on my car. I had a four hour drama process going back n forth btwn car places telling me it was battery vs alternator, finally to arrive at yes its alternator. Most people quoted me at 600 bucks the cheapest I found was 430 after a few hours of searching, until this guy said give me a chance to find you a good quote... Mike wants long term customers, which who doesnt love that about a company. He quotes me at much less and helped me get to work that day. Honestly I am very thankful for this company and recommend them to anyone looking for car repairs! And I have had quite my fill of car issues i wish I would have found them sooner ha. Worst place I have ever been to did a motor for me at a good price. Got the car back and it had to go back to the shop so took it back to them and got it back out said it was great now. So drive it home and then took it to another shop cause it was not fixed. Parts where on wrong some wiring was wrong mass air flow sensor put on backwards just all kinds of things that was wrong with the car never take my car to these people for any car work

I thought that I had found a garage I could trust, and then I was proven wrong. I had taken my Mitsubishi Montero Sport in for several small things through the course of a month or so including an oil change and a replacement battery. The replacement battery was defective and so they replaced it; this was about two weeks after having an oil change. When I went to pick up my vehicle at the end of the day I was asked When was the last time you had an oil change?, ummm, here about two weeks ago. The representative behind the counter said that I had an oil leak somewhere and that they put several quarts of oil into it. They charged me for the oil, even though no one from the garage had called to talk to me about what they had found or to get my permission to do extra work on the truck. Finally as I was leaving the representative said Oh, just keep an eye on it. Like the mysterious oil leak shouldnt be an issue.Maybe its just me, but this is what I would expect from a garage I could trust in this situation. First, that they know that I had my oil changed there in the last two weeks. Second, that if they discovered that I had a leak and they had to replace oil that they contact me to let me know what they had found prior to me picking it up and the end of the day. Because, I would have said yes, please replace the oil and please see if you can find the leak and let me know what needs to be repaired. I dont think is too much to ask.

Use extreme caution and follow your gut everything seemed to good to be true, I didnt understand why I kept seeing Mike on reviews, I took my vehicle that was having problems that I knew where complex but the engine still sounded good thought they where just going to hook it to machine, came back to pick up engine was smoking and seemed to be overheated, but its my vehicle my problem they really didnt help at all, but they proved to me not to let them do any work for me.......
