We’ve been going to Bagelheads since its early days. The downtown location has a beautiful view of the bay and the bay bridge. Our to-go bagel order this past time was incomplete and I couldn’t get hold of customer service via email, but still give 5 stars because this is the first time they’ve gotten it wrong. It’s still our favorite bagel shop!We recommend the Asiago a Go Go and the everything bagels to go.
Good breakfast place. We tried the bagelzones and they were different. Something we have not had before but a little dry with no sauce. I would be back to try the bagels as they looked very fresh. The house mocha coffee was delicious though! There is a wait as they are shortstaffed as with all places right now.
This little place packs great flavor into amazing bagels. I got the cheddar jalapeño bagel with turkey and provolone. I will say its a game changer. Turkey amazing, bagel was the softest and most fresh ever. I will try coffee next time. Skip the chain breakfast places and get a great breakfast here. I love it and we will now be regulars. I suppory small businesses and thank you!
The staff is friendly. The wait is well worth it! The homemade bagels are delicious. Over 15 different types to choose from. If you are looking for great local coffee this is the place to stop.
You will not find a more disorganized or poorly managed place. Underwhelming and inconsistent quality, with an embarrassingly inefficient staff. We gave it a lot of chances and it only gets worse.
Awesome food and atmosphere! I recommend getting a bagel sandwich and putting it on one of the sugary bagels (weird, right?). But seriously, the combination of the sweet and salty is the best. Im only sad that I didnt start ordering it sooner.
3 stars for the food but the way the handle things could be done differently and more efficiently. When you have someone coming in for to go orders and you dont have to prep the food, you should just bag their items and send them on their way. If someone has a prep item and a muffin on the side, give them their muffin right then and there. This way you know what items you have and wont have. Instead of making people wait for their simple bag and go to go orders behind people youre making items for.
Bagelheads never disappoints. The chicken cordon bleu is perfect every time.
Ive visited a couple of times..... the drive thru is for pickup of online or phone orders only🤯🤯🤯 and they only offer lite (fat free) cream cheese..... which has added sugar😡😡😡.... wont be back.Update 10/9/21: after receiving a response from the Owner, I feel that I may have been a little hasty with my previous review.... fat free cream cheese may not be as unacceptable as I had thought. I will be glad to visit this establishment again.
Tastes great! Awesome coffee, excellent bagels, scrumptious breakfast sandwiches and other menu items, too many to list! Including pastries. Excellent service, everybody that works there is kind and helpful. Nice local vibe, with indoor and outdoor seating. Excellent food sometimes takes a little longer, especially during the pandemic, when many local businesses are having trouble hiring new employees. As customers, we should try to have some patience. Support your local businesses! Very large parking lot, easily accessed from 14th street, entering via the back parking lot. Enjoy!
The food and coffee is great with lots of options and the staff is friendly and helpful. Great place. It’s worth the wait. I ordered online then came in and paid and my order was ready in no time.
One of my favorite lunch spots in town! My coworkers and I have this spot on our list of places we crave during the week. I recommend the Asiago-A-Go-Go and the South of the Border bagel sandwiches. Also they have the best chai latte in town because its so creamy and delicious.
Love the variety of bagels and sandwhiches plus their beverage options are great too, Smothies/Coffees. Its in a Beautiful location too. Just go and try it.
I’m sure they make nice enough food, but these are just bagel shaped loaves of bread not bagels in any way at all.
Delicious food and wonderful service. Smooth cold brew
We had egg and cheese bagels and a blueberry muffin. Taste was decent but I wish the eggs would be as fresh as the bagels. Wait was reasonable given the number of guests and the challenge these days of having enough workers. Self-serve coffee is a lifesaver during busy service times.
I was notified of a fraudulent charge on my debit card for $1565.36 from this restaurant and I wouldn’t have shared this if it was handled better but, when I notified management the next day I was completely blown off and told there was no way that was possible. I then confirmed with my bank that my card number had been manually entered 3 hours after I left. When I brought this fact to management’s attention I was completely dismissed again and she showed no concern whatsoever that somehow there was an attempt to fraudulently charge my card at this location. Having owned a retail store in the past my first move would’ve been to contact my merchant services to get to the bottom of it, she chose a different route telling me it wasn’t possible and my bank must have made a mistake. Maybe when this happens next time she’ll show a little more interest. The food is really good I just recommend using cash. That’s an interesting response to potential credit card fraud that could still be ongoing in your restaurant. To be clear Wells Fargo confirmed my full 16 digit credit card number was manually entered at your restaurant and the fact you’re more concerned with an internet review than possible fraudulent charges at your restaurant pretty much tells me everything I need to know. Judging by your response I’m guessing you still haven’t contacted your merchant services provider leaving you open to more attempts of fraudulent charges in the future. I hope mine was the last and only time this happens however you’ve made it clear that a customer being subject to a $1500+ fraudulent credit card charge doesn’t even warrant a phone call to your merchant services, an interesting choice considering the volume of credit card transactions you probably process on a daily basis. Again the food was great but the fraudulent charge that now leaves me without a card for all of next week and your abhorrent response in store and online is making me feel like a 1 star rating is right on the money.
Prices for a bagel with meat are ridiculous, there is hardly any meat. Service is slow, extremely slow. The people making your bagel seem distracted or they get into a conversation. There sure are a lot of employees moving around who arent doing anything.
Incredible quality coffee. The owner is a micro roaster who uses a different process then almost all other Roasters which gives the coffee a very smooth rich taste. Cant describe it, but one taste and youll be sold! Pick up some extra bags while youre there if youre not a local. he recently began taking online orders for shipping, as well. The bagels are made fresh there with extensive choice of custom sandwiches and toppings available. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Dont be scared of the long line it moves very fast. Enjoy the vibe!
I went there twice over a weeks time in late April. The food was good, but I have to agree with the other comments about the slow service. The first day visited was a Saturday at about 11:00am and the place was very busy, so I can understand why it was slow. Was it slower than other similar food establishements would be at that time on a Saturday morning, I would have to say yes. I didnt keep track of the time waiting in line, and the time spent waiting for the order, but it was a very long time. The next visit was a Wednesday around 11:15am. It wasnt busy on this visit and I was the second person in line. When I reached the cashier to place my order, I asked if there were any of the bagel dogs available (not sure if that is correct name). The lady operating the till walked over to the case where the bagel dogs are stored and came back and said yes. I proceeded to pay for the order and then waited 10-15 minutes to get my order. All she had to do was grab a bag, put the bagel dogs in the bag, and I wouldve been out of there after I paid for my order. That wouldve added, maybe, 30 seconds to the entire transaction? BTW, there was only 1 other person that was in line after myself, and then no one else came in after that. In summary, its a nice place, with good food, but very slow service.
Incredibly disappointing!!!! We have been here many times and enjoyed our food. Today we got a to go order of several bagels with cream cheese etc. our bagels had what is termed “barely there” cream cheese. Literally when you opened the bagel you saw a faint white film of cream cheese. Cmon guys you are better than this!!’ Waste of money and a very unemployable eating experience. Cut costs elsewhere if needed but don’t rip off paying customers!!!!
Im very disappointed. With how many good reviews, and how busy the store was, I figured Bagelheads would be good. Unfortunately, this is the first and last time we will be coming here. Some of these other reviews were correct, the service was absolutely awful. No matter how polite we were, and despite us having never been there before, all we got was a rushed, spiteful attitude from staff. Being busy is no excuse for terrible customer service, and Im familiar with that, I process far more people at my work than that and I dont get an attitude with people. On top of that, even though the order was repeated back to us, the coffee order on the ticket was wrong. Which then, obviously, became our fault. Even though we were not the ones to put in the order, and verbally, it was double checked and agreed upon heavy cream was to be used, not whole milk. Upon calmly asking about it, all we received was an awful attitude. We were not blaming anyone, just asking about getting the correct drink, having seen the ticket was incorrect (again, despite the verbal confirmation) but the staff were just not having it. Instead, we got snapped at that the drink was made correctly per the ticket even though we just said the ticket was put in wrong, and then when they did remake the drink, they did so spitefully, filling it until it was spilling out of the cup, and clearly made bad on purpose.I just cant believe this place is as popular as it is when they treat their customers so terribly. And I would understand a bit better if we actually were being rude and difficult, but I swear we really werent. If anything, just kind of confused since so much was going on and it was our very first time there. Im just incredibly disappointed by the whole experience. The muffin was pretty good and the frozen coffee drink too, but otherwise, not worth it to go back.
I am 100% not kidding when I say these are the BEST BAGELS IVE EVER HAD. I literally dread leaving pensacola when i go back home because i don’t wanna leave bagelheads lol. No but actually sometimes i literally dream about them. Alright all jokes aside the best bagels and really good frozen coffees
I’m sure this place would’ve been great if I had ever gotten the single, not warmed up, blueberry muffin that I paid for. They were extremely busy and everyone was working very hard, I was told it would be a 25 min wait for a muffin to go, I was not asked for my name. 25 mins later I asked if I could give my name to put on the ticket (I did not ask about getting my order, JUST to give my name) and the nice gentleman who took my order was pretty rude and didn’t do anything about it and after 45 mins of waiting with my two year old I left with no flipping muffin. Everyone else that got food seemed genuinely satisfied though.
Average muffin...$3.95Expresso...$4.15Long wait... pricelessThis place could use more than one person on steamer duty during peak times. My first visit and doubt Ill be back to wait 20 minutes for a coffee. Only plus is this is a local place (which Id rather support than chains like Star$) but local doesnt get a pass on my time spent and dollars paid for basically average coffee and fairly slow service.
Unfortunately, the wait outweighs the taste. Please switch to a more efficient way to manage orders. 25 min for a single bagel is pretty terrible. I just left. You should go somewhere else.
It sure was interesting! The location is great downtown with indoor and outdoor seating. Seating in both locations offers a beautiful view of the water. They have a great selection of bagels which they also offer as sandwiches. They have daily soup selections which is where it got interesting. They has lasagna soup. Yes, lasagna! I decided to try it. It was actually pretty good. The lasagna broth was a tomatoy base with Italian spices. It was filled with cut up wavy lasagna noodles and ground beef (see picture). Fair warning: the soup portions are very generous! The bowl was big and I would say it was twice the size of a large chili at Wendys or double the size of a normal size soup at Panera Bread. I had that with a half sandwich (chicken salad on a sesame bagel). If I had known how big the soup was I probably wouldnt have ordered the half sandwich. I ordered chips and coleslaw too. The coleslaw was absolutely delicious with sesame seeds and almond slices on top. I strongly recommend it. They also serve coffee with everything you can find at Starbucks. I had their house special: a white chocolate mocha with cinnamon. It was wonderful. Prices are comparable to Starbucks and Panera. Bagel selection is excellent. GFriendly staff, nice atmosphere, good food, and great views.
Bagels here are just amazing. You can taste the difference between these and store bought
Always enjoy coming here. The bagels plates are great and the coffee is great. The view to the Bay is awesome and the layout is fun. Very good service.
Egg sandwich, bread was burnt in side, hidden under the egg, oatmeal abundant amount of cinnamon. Smoothie and hot tea was good. Bagels bought home were good.
Okay, so this place is absolutely amazing!!!!! Something happened with my order, and the owner and MOD personally fixed it for me and went ABOVE AND BEYOND giving me excellent customer service!!!! I’ve worked in the food industry for over 10+ years, and I was VERY impressed by the service. I will definitely be coming back multiple times. THANK YOU SO MUCH
This place had gone down hill for a while now.. I agree with the other reviews about the borderline abhorrent service. Not even a smile and I’m always probably too polite. My breakfast sandwich was very clearly microwaved and the quality was completely sacrificed. Half of the bread was harder than my head and the hash browns were pretty swampy. Also haven’t had the cream cheese for the desert bagels which my kids used to love. I’m from here and grew up loving this food but it hardly makes sense to risk this experience that I’ve had several times.
Delicious food and coffee! Definitely be coming back!
There was only one person ahead of me and it still took 20 mins to get my order of 2 bagels. I also ask for them to be toasted and they werent. There was more cream cheese on the wrapper than on the actual bagel. I will not be back and I definitely wouldnt recommend this place for a bagel. The iced coffee was good but not great so I cant even recommend it for that.
Delicious and fresh! A great selection of different bagels, pastries and drinks
Its a little pricey but you definitely get what you pay for. I had a reuben on an asiago bagel, it was delicious. Will definitely go back.
Fresh and tasty baked goods.
Polite friendly staff and great food !
So happy this town gem has kept their doors open!! It has been a standing tradition for about 18 years to get bagels for Christmas morning breakfast and todays trip was very pleasant. We were in and out and staff was wonderful! Merry Christmas Eve!!
Absolute best bagels in Pensacola! Coffee is solid and their sandwiches are so good. I always get their hummus - some of my favorite hummus. I call ahead some mornings to pick up at the window before work.
Waited 45 mins in drive thru line only to see a sign at the window that says call in orders only. Lady said call in orders would take another 45 mins so we left. Very disappointed as we were SO looking forward to some great bagels.
Great spot. Laid back, huge bagel selection with some fun flavors (try the blueberry cobbler!), and six or seven drip coffee options too. Plus a big menu of other breakfast and lunch stuff. Lots of indoor space and they also have a few picnic tables out front, helpful if you are trying to meet up with people outside!
Really disappointing experience. Spent 15 minutes in line waiting to place order. I was charged more than the prices posted on line and on the wall for a Dozen Bagels. When I questioned the cashier. All she said, was sorry but this is the price. It then took them over 15 minutes to put 13 bagels and an 8oz tub of cream cheese that I paid $6.95 for in a bag and give them to me. Took over 30 minutes to get 13 mediocre bagels and cream cheese that I paid over $23 for. Keep driving and go to Einstiens where they use fresh blueberries and have much better service.
Polite staff and clean facility, but took more than 30 minutes to receive my order and it was partially wrong. I dont break the cardinal rule when it comes to ordered food, so I delt. Bagels were good though. And it was a little crowded, but for the amount of workers they seemed to have in back it should not have taken that long for a few toasted bagels with butter.
Super busy but staff was efficient and the bagels and coffee are amazing!
Food was ok, everything was cold. Also, having to wait 20 minutes for 4 bagels with plain cream cheese was quite annoying. Cant say I would recommend
I’ve been dining at Bagel Heads since they opened their doors. Like NYC in Pensacola. Really the best in the region.
First time here. I wish the menu would have been more visible while waiting, but I got a quick look in one place in line. I ordered the Chicken, Bacon, Ranch on Asiago to-go + the house latte. Waited about 20 minutes. When I got home, there was no ranch. A little pricey to be forgetting a key ingredient. The coffee was good though, and I enjoyed the sandwich after adding my own ranch to it.I will add that there was no social distancing inside. All tables were occupied instead of having some blocked off. I opted to take it to go, but still had to wait inside to hear my name. Most people who weren’t eating did have masks on.
Best bagels in town by far. Its not even close. No knock to the chains but if you want a real treat this is the place to get a bagel or breakfast sandwich. They have unlimited refills on coffee and an amazing view to enjoy! Worth the drive if you are staying on the beach. Come pick up an assortment of large bagels and wide variety of cream cheese spreads to enjoy on your vacation!
Huge selection of bagels and coffees. Cool place on the water.
I went there for the first time this morning. I have always heard good reviews about this place but I honestly didn’t have a good experience. I didn’t realize there was a online pick up window and that it wasn’t a drive thru, when the lady realized that I didn’t order online she was instantly rude. she wasn’t very helpful for it being my first time their. they also messed up my iced coffee and when we went inside to let them know it was suppose to be vanilla coffee they were once again rude as if it was our fault. very upset with the rude workers
Bagelheads is a great local spot with excellent food. Enjoy a water view in a relaxed atmosphere.
Bagels were fine but called to place order ahead of time about 20 minutes that it would take me to get there. bagels were ready once i arrived but had to wait an additional 20 min for a small frozen drink. then eventually told the girl i would take my money back if it still wasnt ready so she came out and told me heres your money back because its about a 20 min wait. they need to learn how to tell people its going to be 45 minutes for a small coffee or learn how to manage a busy bagel shop. ive worked in restaurants for three years and never brought someone their money back bc we simply couldnt provide their food fast enough.
Busy little place. Its lunch time and folks are getting their loaded bagels with the fillings they desire. Bagels are large and dense and chewy. Mmmmm.
Bagels, sandwiches & coffee you cant go wrong here.
A absolutely wonderful experience.Wonderful help, great attitudes and atmosphere. Best coffee in town.
This place is like no other around. The various bagel and toppings are phenomenal. Not to mention the coffee bar inside. If youve never been there, I highly recommend it.
How tf is a bagel sandwich 15 dollars. Lady was maaaaaaaaad rude at the window too. Maybe she needs some thc or something idfk. I could lowkey make 10 bagel sandwiches for that price lmao. Peace, George out (boi)
Totally over rated. Eggs frozen heated up in microwave. Not real eggs, the mcdonalds type that taste like nothing. I go to McDonalds if I want that. Bacon heated up in microwave. Over priced for what you get. I feel cheated. Cream cheese has no flavor. Cheddard cheese is bland. Eggs taste like water. I paid 30 dollars for 4 bagels that taste worst than dunking donuts. The coffee was good. We will not come back. Took 40 mins to get 4 bagels. No masks inside. No social distancing. I am afraid for my health now on top of everything else. I will definitely not come back. I should have turned around and go to dunking donuts.
Hands down the best coffee in Pensacola
This was very good. Their wasabi lox is vary tasty. Their coffee is really, really good. The only reason I give them 4/5 stars is because staff were a bit of mess. They seemed somewhat disorganized, they dont ask your name for a coffee order (I grabbed the iced coffee I found on the counter assuming it was mine, but who knows if it was someone elses earlier order). My friend ordered a cappuccino and they gave her a cappuccino muffin - who on Earth assumes muffin and not coffee when they hear cappuccino??? Other than the sub-par staff, the food was quite good.
My nephew referred me. I bought one dozen of sweet bagels..variety of flavors..and 2 different flavors of cream cheese...was charged over $30!! I feel too spendy. I will never go back.
Best bagels I have ever had! Their coffee is good too!
Been going here for years. Incredible, what more could you want from a local bagel place.Love yall
Awesome food, even better prices!
Was good and service was good even though the place was busy
I come to visit family a couple of times a year in Pensacola. I always try to make it here when I make my way to the beach in the mornings. Best bagels in the state of Florida!
Good breakfast, great coffee, location overlooking the water
Nice, place. Well lit, nice vibe inside and bagels come out relatively fast and hot!
I just visited this place today for the first time and I will never return. I ordered a simple blueberry muffin and bagel and was waiting 20 minutes until I finally asked someone where my order was. Shelly went to check and came back out to tell me that they ran out of blueberry muffins and pushed my order to the side!! What kind of business does that without telling the customer who had been waiting that long and would have waited longer if I didn’t take the time to ask😖 If I could give a negative rating, I would. I was offered a free muffin and bagel the next time I came, but, that will never happen!! Get your act together!! This is terrible service for a place that had been recommended!!!
The best bagels in town very friendly staff and very clean dining area inside or outside
The food quality has really gone downhill. Ordered a Bacon, Egg, cheese sandwich on an everything bagel. It was cooked so long in the microwave that the cheese turned to an inedible crust. And there was hardly any cheese on it so that made it even worse. Bacon was terribly cheap. Reminded me of something you would get at a high school cafeteria or McDonalds. The eggs were also very cheap and microwaved. For $7, I expect good quality bacon and at least one full slice of cheese. We also ordered a sausage and pepper jack cheese bagel stick. Hardly had any cheese in it either and was also overcooked in the microwave. Had a similar experience last two visits in the past few months where the food quality has gone really down. Extremely disappointed. Doubt I will ever be back. The prices definitely dont reflect the quality. This was on the McDonalds level for sure.
This is one of the best delis/bagel shops that I have been to in a LONG time. They have a huge selection of foods and all of them are very good. My favorites are the ham and cheese pockets. The only drawback is this place is BUSY! Expect a wait. However, it is worth the wait!
Every kind of bagel topped with Boars Head meats!
Delicious bagels with a serene view of the water. A favorite local spot :)
Great service, great food!
Stopped in for a few sandwiches. A bacon ranch chicken and two chicken salad sandwiches. We all liked them, they were awesome. The Banana-Strawberry smoothie and the Moca Blast were great too. The bagels and variety of muffins looked so yummy too. I look forward to trying them. Thanks, Skylar, for suggesting we come down and try them out today.
Awesome bagels...a must try!!! Assorted flavored coffees and great customer service.
This spot near the water has seriously the best bagels I have ever eaten!! The dough is so soft with just the right amount of chew factor. Their house mocha was also divine. Go. Eat.
Good foods and awsome beach side location!
Its always great always good service always with a smile or you can tell its a smile and a need their masks with the crinkle of their eye flight attentive the food is amazing Rob the owner is always willing to talk to his customers and always happy
