We walk in and arent greeted by the staff, never once in the almost 30 minutes we were in this store did anyone ask if we needed help. I was looking for an issue and probably wouldve bought it had I been able to find it. Apparently it was more important for the two employees there to talk amongst themselves.i guess customer service only exists if you are a regular. This will guarantee we wont ever come back.

Actually enjoys this store. Would be awesome if they had more space. Nice selection. When my sons birthday was coming up they in Sept. They assisted me in getting him some pokemon cards for a decent 2nd hand price nice pulls too! 👌🏻 the owner was quick to assist me after a little confusion and urgently repaired my worries. That also made a difference with this 5 star review. Thanks guys.

Pretty diverse set of comics and games. I was pretty disappointed in my experience though only because a person working there was yelling back and forth with another person, who it sounds like she knew, throwing obscenities left and right. I am not so conservative that Im not okay with the casual curse word here or there, but there must have been 7 or so F-bombs, and other words dropped in the matter of 30 seconds. I was really hoping to be able to bring my son here to get comics, but Im not comfortable with that kind of environment. It was super awkward because they were being so loud. When I left I overheard some guys leaving say that the employee does that all the time. Kind of odd.

The folks here are generally helpful and informative as well as being friendly. I prefer TBS over price busters or any other card shop. It may be helpful to note mostly in Magic the gathering. Only downside when it comes to TBS is selection of single cards. Price busters has more, but you are also gonna pay more. If you are looking for comics definitely swing by TBS.

I switched to this shop last year on Free Comic Book Day. Im still very glad I did it.This is as good as a comic book shop gets. Super friendly. They communicate openly with customers who have subscription lists with them.Its a well organized shop with lots of stock from the current running titles. They have a large game section.I give them lots of business and theyve never let me down. Kudos.

The selection of comics was somewhat diverse and as was the selection of card game supplies and toys. They had incredible 1$ selection, but as I was checking out the service was not preferable, the lady who was managing the cash register bent multiple of my comics, a collectors worst nightmare. The supply was amazing unlike the customer service, therefore 3 stars.

Ive been going here over four years, when I visit family. Had a pull-list for about 8mnths. Really nothing special. Standard fair, though back-issues are limited to that month, generally. And ordering a recent comic can take a month or more (covid, sure, even though they get accurate weekly shipments) And wargaming stuff is not competitive in price, compared to any number of online vendors. Standard patrons, shy and anti-social and generally pretentious. Loud when they speak of something they feel they know about, especially if a stranger is in earshot. Sub-par service from the obese proprietor, has zero interest in being social beyond the canned or practiced response required by his leisurely job. Entirely unhelpful unless queried about his personal focus, he indicated was comics... and, still largely unhelpful.Considering the slim geek pickings in Pensacola, TBS is sufficient if you want to game with friends or have a pull-list... but, not an enjoyable place in comparison to (cheaper) online merchants, or even nearby competing stores in Foley. Better selection than Pensacola Pop Comics, but the atmosphere and proprietors make Pop Comics the better weekly store.

Walked around the store on 2 different occasions.I had to ask random people at a table if they worked at the store. I came in on new comic book day twice and was able to get NO new comics, plenty of old stock though.It’s a big store but no personal service or interaction, things that are needed at a comic book store.

Great store and love all the varieties of comics but you guys need a new card reader because I know my credit card works perfectly fine with no issues anywhere until I got to TBS. The dude probably was pressing a wrong button or swiping it wrong. Madly disappointed with this issue please fix it soon.

Great venue for any card game or board game you might be interested in playing! Nice stock of Magic the Gathering cards and singles, board games, Pen and Paper RPGs, and miniature war games like Warhammer/War Machine/X-Wing. Lots of comics to thumb through. They even have a lot of D&D terrain and painting supplies. Great public venue to meet friends.

I go to this place almost every week and every time i go it gets better and better. The staff will help you look for stuff and they are really nice people to talk to about comics and games. Ive wanted to work at TBS for a bit but i cant do to my age, but hopefully itll be soon.Btw i forgot to mention they have a really good selection and if you want to buy stuff but not now they can put it in a bag with your name (plus number) and keep it there till you buy it. Defenetly a good place to lose all your money. And trust me it happens to me several times.

Whether you are looking for a specific item, a gaming group, a quick browse, or a place to come hang with friends...chances are, youll find what youre looking for at TBS Comics. It was my home away from home for 3 years. Its been 2 years now since I moved away, and I still havent found anything that came close. Dont believe me? Go find out for yourself. Ive been going to TBS for several years now and while from time to rare time there has been a few things thatll come up here and there thats not to do with the customers.One such thing I believe they deserve accolade is recognition for the trust theyve built over the years in their product. Speaking to the TCG market specifically and more specifically the Pokémon TCG, TBS does not currently sell sealed product purchased off the secondary market; a market right now that is flooded with scalpers and tampered product. Sealed product from TBS that Ive purchased came with an assurance that they came from the distributor. While purchase limits do exist because supply of the new product is extremely low, I believe this is another measure that fights against easy scalping.I put my trust in products from TBS comics.

Aside from the fact that its a local staple. And the headquarters for all magic HeroClix and role-playing strategy group games. The comic book selection is always fresh. You can get a subscription there I have one thats weekly. I pick up seven different titles. I have a discount it comes with that. The staff is always really friendly and eager to help. They turned me on to titles I wouldnt have text regularly. And they have some seriously limited edition figurines.

Ive always wanted to go inside to see what TBS had to offer, but the store moved to the current location. Let me assure everyone who may read this, but this IS the one stop place for your gaming needs! They have games from A to Z, and everything else in between too. The staff has been super great! If one goes in and tells them what they are looking for the find it, or can order it. The other thing is they ship from the other store, and in my case I was told it may be the next day, but no later than Monday. I stopped in on Friday, and by Saturday night my request was already there, but I wasnt expecting it until Monday! Im not sure if they set up times for game players to play, like rent tables, but every time Ive gone in, there has been at least 2 or 3 tables with games going on. One time they had a competition going on, and I was invited to come and watch! I always thought I was the only one in our area who liked to play card games, miniature games, and board games, but there are lots of folks who play. My choice is Star Trek Attack Wing, and TBS will always have my business long after this game stops making material for it. I just cant express how much of a Great Experience it has been going in to see everything, the players, and the staff. Please stop by, and take it all in, and you, the reader, will not be disappointed.

I love TBS, they have a wide selection of comics, games, and collectibles. Theyre always fun to visit and its a very laid back environment. I like that they make cards accessible to sort through and sometimes I can get deals on some things. My only complaint is how disorganized their 10 cent MTG cards are but thats understandable.

Staff are so friendly and knowledgeable, this store has a crazy good assortment of everything from comic books, D&D items, actuon figures, star wars stuff. Its a fun store.Bathroom is very nasty though and smelled so badly like pee.

Undoubtedly, the best comic and gaming place in the area. The staff is always awesome, helpful and friendly. Their selection is pretty extensive and they have encyclopedic knowledge about almost everything they carry (the computer system helps this out a little). All in all, one of the greatest hangouts in town.

I want to preface this review by stating I only go one night a week. I mainly play boardgames, but have made some purchases as well. The staff is totally friendly and the pieces reasonable. During busier times, tables can be hard to find, and it can get noisier. But neither of these are problems, but inherent with a popular place.

I have been meaning to write a review for a long time. But I have been too busy enjoying my time at TBS in Pensacola. It is hard to explain, but TBS, to me, is more than just a store. That word does not do it justice. Yes, you can buy anything you want and need at TBS, and they have a ton, but TBS is an experience. Anyone who has never been there is really missing out. If you are a gamer of any sort, whether its cards, board games, clix, deck builders, living card games, miniatures, etc., you will have a blast. There is a ridiculous amount of space to game. The new location is amazing!! Everyone is a friend. The acceptance amongst fellow gamers and collectors is unlike anything you will experience anywhere else. I know first-hand. None of the other places can compare to TBS. Its not close. Its not a debate. TBS is Hulk and the rest are a little boy who uses finger paints to color himself green. To make a long review short, TBS is a destination. It is a place where you want to shop, hang out, game, meet people, and just be accepted. I cant recommend it enough. Just go. Drop the controller. Grab your keys. Go. Have fun.

I have been using TBS comics for over 2 decades, and now I have introduced my son to the store. Back in the day as a teenager we were chasing books for AD&D 2nd edition. When you walked in the store, the employees talked to you like you were a long lost friend. Today, TBS has the EXACT same feel. Great people, great clean environment, and many different options in games and comics. If you were that kid that used to play D&D, you owe it to your children, or your adult friends to dust off the books, invite people for a character build or card game night. When you do, use TBS comics for your supplies. Just the fact that this store is still open is a testament to how wonderful it is. Speaking for the old D&D dorks, it has and always will be, a second home to us. Spread the word. If your kids are playing card games or D&D, at least you know where they are and what they are doing. One of the better comic shops around. I always find good stuff here but they dont really have a lot of things most comic shops should have like Image+ magazine or more obscure selections. I like this place but I like Pop Comics better because that one is more of a comic shop instead of a mixture of comics, games, figures, etc.

This store is one of the most wonderful places Ive ever been to, they have friendly workers, great prices, and a great place to relax and hang with other people, they also host competitions and tournaments allowing everyone to play the games they buy even if they dont have any friends in the area.This store sales board games that you cannot find anywhere else in town as well as card games, not to mention the abundant amount of comics, figures, and and game accessories you can buy as well.Also the workers are especially nice people, I dont think Ive ever been in a shop so welcoming until I came to this one and I now make sure to come to this shop as much as possible when Im in the area. TBS is the Cheers of the comic/gaming stores in Pensacola! Ive been going there for a little over 7 years now and every time I walk in Im greeted with a nickname Im been given from the players and owners of the store. There are other game places in Pensacola that are very nice as well and very friendly, but I wouldnt leave TBS to go play or purchased primarily anywhere else for anything. Ed the owner is awesome and friendly and loves the things he sells as much as you do. Its hard to find a place that cares enough to learn your name when you come around because they truly want to know you and treat you like a family. I found one in TBS. Come in and ask for Ironbrow and ill sing these praises in person. I look forward to seeing you and maybe playing you in a game or two!
