Got my open water certification here. My Instructors (Dean and Billy) were amazing — super friendly and patient. Everyone in my group had a great time. Highly recommend this place.

Chartered a trip through them and rented their nitrox package for four divers including myself. Dave was responsive and helpful setting everything up. The dropped off the rental equipment with the boat. We had a great experience.

Group of 5 divers just finished using MBT for nitrox training and equipment. They also scheduled a dive charter for us with Emerald Ocean. These guys are 1st Class. Very helpful and professional. Highly recommend.

I booked a dive for my daughter and I while on vacation in Pensacola and the staff was super accommodating when we needed to reschedule our trip. They were kind enough to bring an additional diver (a Master Diver) on to accompany my daughter as it was her 1st openwater dive. That level of care and service truly is uncommon! The staff was fun, laid back, and extremely knowledgeable about the area and history, which was both interesting and comforting. They took phenomenal care of my little girl the entire time and I couldn’t have been more grateful. I’d dive with these guys again in a heartbeat and would HIGHLY recommend them if you have a junior diver as well! Great staff!

Awesome time diving with MBT Divers this Friday. 2 tank Nitrox dive in the Tug and then the barges. Steve is an excellent guide and Dive Master who is super relaxed and happy do take you anywhere you’d like to go. Felt safe the entire time and the briefing was excellent. Highly recommend diving with these guys if you’re on the fence about going or wanting a great experience!

Highly recommend MBT Divers. The ladies in my group wanted to have their own day so I needed something to do on Tuesday. I found MBT online and got set up with a spot on H2O Below for a few dives on the Oriskany. I gave Dave a call to set up the trip and rental gear. Super easy and quick process. Great prices and superb operation.

Completed my open water dive certification the weekend of 6/5/21. My instructors, Brad and Austin, provided high quality training from start to finish. The entire MBT team made me feel so comfortable and confident in their ability to answer questions, provide equipment recommendations and ensure that my dive certification was successful! I will continue to further my dive certifications through MBT. :)

Absolutely top flight dive operation! I had heard really good things about this company for years and had wanted to get my certification for quite a while. My wife bought me the OW course for my birthday, and the whole team was an active part in getting me sorted out.From the moment I showed up Billy bent over backward to get me scheduled ASAP. The best they said they could do was 6 weeks out.....bummer. BUT Billy said he would put me on the backup list. As it turned out, 5 days later, Aidyn gave me a call and, I am sitting in a class that night with Brad for academics. Day two, Brad and Austin took care of confined water skills with a group of students that couldn’t have been more diverse. From adults ranging from upper 20s to 40s to even a few young diver applicants (10-13 yr olds) the two instructors handled the tasks admirably. Day 3 was a true adventure...three dives working on qualification skills and saw turtles, cow nosed rays, an octopus, and other sea life. Last day was focused on surface and underwater nav with a dive in far more limited vis but excellent for the location (Park West). We all said hello to Henry Ford (ask Brad...he will explain). Wife was able to tag along on all my open water dives and we both added NITROX certs to our qualifications.I was so impressed with the instructor team, service techs, sales team, and management I decided to purchase some of my own gear. ANYONE knows that you can find better “deals” for sporting goods on line......BUT you couldn’t beat this team in any respect. They not only gave me EXCELLENT prices on my TOP SHELF gear, they took the time to let me ask any question I wanted, and piece my kit together just as I wanted. No pushing or any irritating sales tactics that you often find in similar type establishments. When I wanted to know about a type of gear, they asked what I was hoping to do and then gave me options of good, better, best - or more accurately this is most applicable for what you wanna do, this is a good all around option, and this option would work but is designed with other goals in mind. Taylor is extremely well versed in all their gear, as is Micah and Billy. Aidyn was extremely attentive to all customers ...I never saw a single customer wait for more than a minute before being addressed. Even if they had to pause and say, “Hello, I am working with this customer but please look around and I will be right with you” and then they were right with them. The charter boat captains I met were friendly and seemed to mesh well with the shop team. Overall, Steve has done an AMAZINGLY impressive job training, educating, and leading his team while at the same time providing an extremely well run, frictionless, fun, and enjoyable operation. When you are involved with a sport that requires this much gear, instruction, and support, you really need a team you can count on today, tomorrow, and years from now. MBT is my team! You will not be disappointed

MBT divers highly recommend!!Superb service from start to finish. I went in to gain information about Scuba diving and each staff member I dealt with was professional, friendly, and well knowledgeable.For the Open water certification the instructor was Dean Smith. He was courteous and beyond patient with everyone. He transpired the information clear and concise; making sure we understood completely . Throughout the class he made each event enjoyable. We definitely couldnt of asked for a better instructor.

I had a GREAT experience learning to dive from this shop. Nicole, Joe, and Cathy were all excellent instructors and more than willing to answer any question you may have about diving. They are patient and kind. I was nervous about learning to dive and they made it easy! The shop people are also so helpful and kind. I had a great experience being fitted for my mask, fins and boots. I felt confident they would work well for me. In addition, they give discounts when you buy your gear in conjunction with your class! I am one satisfied customer.

Just completed my certification course with instructors Bradley & Joe. We had what I considered a fairly large group of people but were broken down into 2 groups. Im fortunate to have been paired with Joe who was patient after my hiccup with the full mask removal and gave me time to have a moment and pull it together. Meant the world to me, for I was truly disappointed and had mentally blocked myself, but he kept in high spirits and I did it. I really do love the fact that they were firm, yet laid back, answered every and all questions and also know how to joke and laugh which made us all comfortable, at least me. I defiantly recommend this shop.. and if you were like myself and nervous about it, well...just do it

Awesome service and great prices

Good dive shop, but air fill turnaround time is unacceptable in the busy summer season. I have to drive all the way across town to drop a tank for a fill and often need to wait a few days to get it back. Otherwise service is pretty good.

Booked 3 divers on a trip. Rented 6 tanks. Got to boat and only 1 diver on trip and no tanks.Went to discuss with the shop and get a refund on the tanks. Employee blamed the boat for the mistake with no apologies.Asked to speak to the owner Fritz who was too busy to discuss the problem.I would not recommend to count on this shop. First and last experience with them.

This is a mandatory stop whenever I come home to Pensacola!!! Steve, Fitz, and the rest of the shop are great, but lets be honest...Nine keeps everyone in check and on the right track!! Seriously though, let these folks take care of you while youre on the Gulf! Gear, training, and awesome customer service....MBT does it all!!!

Everyone their was very helpful and polite

Capt David and Dick (divemaster) were very approachable and kind folks. Im unfamiliar with Gulf Coast diving, but the prices seemed slightly high. Also, the dive briefing focused on boat-oriented emergencies and had very little information about the actual dive sites, conditions, or communication. Aside from that, the diving seemed decent - 30ft visibility, 72° temp, moderate to strong current, and limited marine life. Our dive trip was in mid-June.

What a super friendly staff! They have all the gear youll need, all the expertise available, and provide a very nice family of divers. Ill be finished with my open water certification tomorrow and will continue to train with MBT.

I just got open water certified with these guys. Great experience. Bradley and Steve are great.

I give it no star.I brought a regulator for servicing. A guy told me it will take 3 weeks. (I called another diving store to check and they said it takes them 3-5 days). But since I was (and will not be) associated with MBT divers, I said.... ok.3 weeks later I hear no call see no nothing. I come by asking about my regulator. A guy says its not done. I ask how much longer? A week? He responded maybe?Time passes by, I get busy, finally I say... time to see MBT for my regulator. It passed 7 weeks when I finally got to the store. The guy up front tells me that my regulator is to be right next to be fixed.SEVEN WEEKS! AND NOTHING DONE!CONGRATS GUYS! KEEP UP GREAT WORK. I take it elsewhere.I took it back and brought to another diving shop.

I had a great time with Instuctors Bradley and Austin! They answered all of my questions, made sure I knew what I was doing, and just were all around great! Bradley even took time to go over different masks and snorkels with me and never tried to persuade me to buy more expensive items, just the items that fit my personal preference!

Do not purchase anything from this dive shop! They charge a 15% restocking fee regardless of what item you are returning. I returned an alternate reg 2 days after purchase still in the original box. Initially the staff on hand said they could not take the item back because the manager was not there and told me I could come back 5 days later. After several minutes I convinced them to call the manager and take the item back. Charged me $20 literally because they had to put it back in the glass display case. I can understand the restocking fee if they set up a whole scuba system and had to take it apart etc but all they did was take the item I bought still with brand new tags back in the glass display case. I even had to calculate the 15% for them. Poor business practices here, go elsewhere.

Major props to this local business as they are a role model to be replicated by other dive shops! They have the lowest certification prices around, they are military friendly, and the staff is outstanding! Our instructor Joe was very knowledgeable and professional. Will return to continue developing my scuba skills!

I just LOVE this dive shop!! I use to live in Pensacola for 11yrs. and they were my dive shop!! They are friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable!!I cant say enough how wonderful they are. From buying new gear to servicing the gear you have.....they still help me out even though Ive moved to S.Florida!!! No shop here comes close to their professionalism and service...!!!!!!!!!!!

My wife and I had an amazing experience with MBT. Thirty seconds within walking through the door and identifying ourselves as new divers, one of the experienced employees (Billy) took us around and explained about all the dive sites in the area and which ones were best for us. He also gave us lots of instruction and advice that we needed as well as explaining the local color and other things we could do in the area on our honeymoon. Great customer service experience! Another employee (Jason) was very helpful getting us outfitted with rental gear, and whenever I had trouble on our first dive and we had to call it off they were very flexible and let us hang on to the gear a little longer to give us another opportunity to try and dive. Overall both me and my wife were very pleased with everything, and if ever we are back in the area we will be sure to come here!!

I started out my Dive qualifications with this dive shop and am well past Advanced now...There customer service is 5 stars and the ownership is the most caring in the area. Top of the line equipment for rental and for sale. If you show a sincere interest in Diving I assure you the staff at MBT will go well beyond the norm in getting you where you want to be, several good dive charters to choose from ranging from exploring wrecks, to spear fishing. Full shop to repair and inspect equipment, Chuck is the man! Can fix anything!...I love this shop and do ALL my diving from it. If you have an issue of dissatisfaction all you have to do is ask for Fritz and I assure you he will fix whatever your dive issue is. This is a full dive shop with everything that you need for a great day of diving, from beginner to the most advanced.

My son just completed his open water dive here. The staff answered all our questions, gave us time lines on what to expect, cost to enter the parks, and seemed patient with the students. I was allowed to be present for the whole class (as much as I wanted)given that he was a minor.

Having been to many dive shops I was impressed by the thoroughness of their selection which was well stocked and organized.Their staff was extremely knowledgeable about Rec-Tec and were able to answer questions better than the manufacture due to their first-hand experience with the gear they sell.There are a lot of great dive shops....these guys belong at the top.

I just completed my open water certification course and had a wonderful experience. Billy was my instructor and he remained patient with me the entire time!

I dropped 4 tanks off to be hydrod. It took nearly 3 months. I called repeatedly to inquire as to the status of my tanks. No one could tell me what was going on. I had to visit the shop 3 times to finally collect my tanks. Everyone I dealt with was nice and honestly trying to help, but the business process of getting tanks done, and of communicating with the customer sucks. I give 5 stars to the Reg Tech (I forget his name), and no stars to the shop manager.

Booked a charter and drove 3 1/2 hours to the shop the day before the dive trip only to find out my trip had been canceled by the charter operator. I was told everyone should have received a call...I had not received any call from the shop or the operator. After looking closer at their calendar, they found my reservation. Oops...was all they had for me! I will never use this operation again!

Huge shout out to MBT Divers, Pensacola. We dove the USS Oriskany yesterday but had trailer issues when we arrived in Pensacola. MBT Divers went above and beyond helping us get our trailer fixed so we could do our dives. Professionals all the way, I highly recommend this shop to any divers headed to dive the Pensacola area.

This shop was one that my roommate always went to for diving since he was in the marine archaeological program at UWF. I checked them out and they had a great rate for open water certification. Their instructors were great, had some great insight on gear and tips, plus trained us in some pretty fun dives off the coast. They are so great I signed up for the advanced class. I really didnt need this certification since I have dove for years on a hookah rig, bur thought this would be good for life.The staff worked with me to find the right products I was wanting and needed to complete my gear set to dive. Highly recommend for dives on and offshore, great gear, or someone to talk dive sites with. If not them then a regular to the shop can give you some tips.On top of great service they have expansive experience professionally and recreationally on anything from snorkeling to technical/dive master down to 300 feet. These guys are awesome!

Poor customer service but they do slightly make up for that fact up by offering a large number of training oportunities including quite a few tech diving certifications like advanced nitrox, deco procedures, and trimix. Id still suggest dive pros for every other diving need

What was the Premier Dive Shop has gone from 1st to Worsest. Very poor in house communication .1/2 the reqested maintenance and service was not done. Service tag said done. What was done is still unknown.If you get Joe for an instructor turn and run. He yelled at me for wanting to use my own equipment. Night of pool he had a lady almost ready to quit.I have used MBT Exclusive since 2001. I will never walk in their door again.

I went in to ask about local Charters and was ignored the whole time I was in there. When I asked someone about Charters, they told me none were going out tomorrow and walked off. No suggestions or any thing. Very rude.

The service tech and shop owner treat anyone who is not in the Scuba industry, like idiots. The are against anyone who is not certified to repair scuba equipment, which all dive shops should be as it is dangerous. However, the service tech and the shop owner consider even the smallest adjustments to your own equipment to be servicing. Example: removing your dump valve on your BC to wash out the inside. I was given the Your going to Die leacture. However, I contacted my BC manufacturer who told me that MBT Divers tried a cheap money grab on me as the shop will unscrew your dump valve for only $20.From my experiences with MBT Divers, they will disapprove of anything scuba products that their shop does not sell. I use a Hogarthian Harness which I threaded myself and everytime I see an employee of MBT Divers, they always have to say that I am just going to get my self killed. Again the manufacturers tell me that is also not true.
