I definitely would not recommend this place to anyone. I took my truck in to have my air conditioning fixed they charged me 600 bucks hasnt been six months and it went out again. I should of known better from the reviews I had read. I will never go here again.
Good service and very courteous staff, took my work truck for an oil change and got picked up to run errands, auto diagnostic center called me and told me there was additional filters that needed to be changed and I approved it, I was very grateful that they called and didn’t just do the work with out an approval. It was a bit pricey for an oil change but I guess that’s what you get when you have a diesel pick up. Lol
I will definitely come back very good service.
My car was leaking water from the water pump and oil from oil cooler. The car had to be taken back several times because the water pump and oil cooler kept leaking after the repair. Two months after the repairs the car is still leaking from the water pump. I came to the Pharr location because the San Juan location said they could not do the all the repairs at their location. I DO NOT RECOMMEND PHARR TEXAS LOCATION.
The owners are superb people. So courteous and very helpful. The guys in the shop are excellent technicians. Class A operation. Double thumbs up... ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR FOR STATE INSPECTION!!!! This business is a rip off!!!! They will hold your car registration and they are NOT legally allowed to do!!! They said they will find something and will NOT tell you in advance for your approval!! You will be stuck if you just hand them your car. They will keep your paperwork until you pay. This is NOT HOW IT IS DONE!!!!! They are to simply tell you the vehicle passed or failed and tell you what needs fixing. DO NOT GO HERE!!!! THIS IS A HORRIBLE BUSINESS!!!!!!
I was able to get my car safety inspection quickly completed. I was very pleased by the service provided.
Great service, very friendly, great prices, cant recommend them enough.
Great shop. Inspection and data entry perfect!! They are really nice here
Always feel welcomed and was handled promptly and for a fair price.
Warning ⚠️ Do not take your vehicle here, we went in for an oil change and filter as soon as we left our car started messing up . Do not trust these people with your car . We normally always go to Walmart but it was closed due to covid. It’s also really expensive. We made the biggest mistake taking our car here . Now it doesn’t turn on .
Quick place to get inspection sticker, however, I only carry debit with me and there was a minimum charge of $15 when the inspection costs $7. I was obligated to pay $15. I understand business owners may place a minimum on credit cards however, I used my debit card. The action is illegal and a offense under federal law. The cashier could have easily given me $8 back. Aside from this, the place is great and I hope they change thier methods when charging patrons.
Seems to be a family business which is great. They always have provided quick and friendly service. I usually only come for state inspections but today they were real life savers when they reattached a part of my car that came lose after hitting a pot hole.
I hardly ever review a business but I felt I needed to leave a review here for others. Please do not go here the owner will seem really nice and try to explain what he will do to your vehicle but in reality he does not know what he is doing he will leave your vehicle in worse shape and charge you more than he should. Please people take your vehicle to a real mechanic you will waste your money here and owner will find away to take your money
Quick to do an annual inspection. Mechanic seems knowledgeable when he finds a problem.
I’ve been going to this place for regular/synthetic oil changes for about 4 years. The oil changes are completed in about 10-15 minutes if no car is ahead of you. This was the situation on my last visit in July. I went in for a synthetic oil change on a 2012 Mustang. The employees recommended to me a new oil filter since mine was already wearing out. I agreed to the oil filter so employee proceeded with oil change. I paid for my services and went home. The following week I am driving and realize the front of my hood was making a kind of ticking noise. After driving for about five minutes the check engine oil light came on. I was able to make it to a Stripes, but right before I did the check engine light came on as well. This happened on a Friday at around 5. I was worried the shop was already closed so I googled the location and thankfully they were open until 6. I was about five minutes away from the shop so I drove and was worried the whole way there that the car was going to stop working and leave me stranded on the road. I get to the shop and the employees automatically accuse me of hitting a bump/rock on the road because the car was leaking oil. I told them I had not done so and that the car was fine just yesterday. They took the car into one of the bays and began to check the car. Then about 10 minutes later they come and advise me the OIL FILTER THEY RECOMMENDED WAS DEFECTIVE. Now I am sitting there worried about the other parts in the car that might be damaged. They ran some tests to make sure all parts were up and running. According to them the car was fine, they replaced the oil filter and put the new oil in. Throughout all of this there was no manager onsite to apologize for the situation. Being a woman taking a car into a shop and being wrongfully accused of damaging my car is horrible.
Never take your car there they over charge and act like they know what there doing but they dont
Made the problem worse. Misdiagnose cost me $360I took my Chevy Cruze in for a faulty fuel gauge. The mechanic (Not the owner) quoted me $523 to repair it. Stated it was the fuel pump, and it needed to be replaced. Iwas weary of this but thought, “Well, these guys are the experts”. $315, part + $208,labor = $523. As I stared at the estimate, the mechanic offered me a second option. I could bring in my own part and just pay for the labor. He charged me $45 for the diagnosis and said that these $45 would be waived if I did the repair with them. Regardless of where I got the part from. So I took them a brand new GM OEM part (paid half the cost of ADC’s price). When I returned days later to have the repair done, the owner reluctantly agreed to honor what his mechanic proposed about just paying for labor. However, he told me he could not waive the $45 for the diagnosis, that this charge was separate. After his mechanic said they would and as other mechanic shops do. When I picked up my car, the gauge was worse. Now it wouldnt even notify me with a low fuel message. Long story short, I ran out of gas on my way to school. When I took my car back to Octavio, the owner, he was delighted that I was having problems with what he thought was the part I took in. Turns out there was nothing ever wrong with the original fuel pump in the first place. I found this out because I ended up having to pay a legitimate mechanic to properly daignose the problem (which I should have done in the first place). A broken fuel gauge cluster. A fraction of the cost of the labor for a fuel pump replacement. I could have played the part-replacement-guessing-game myself. Really disappointed in this place and in Octavio, cause some time back this was the go to place for good honest work. Not so anymore. Auto diagnostic Center has 3 locations, Pharr (Cage and Sam Houston), San Juan (Corner of Veterans and Sam Houston), and the third in McAllen. I wouldn’t recommend taking your vehicle here.
Took my girlfriends car to check a noise it was making, and they quoted me 1200 dollars to fix it. We went to another mechanic and he laughed when I told him what they said the car needed. Came out to 145 dollars with him. Sad
Friendly place, has the basics your vehicle needs, looks like immediate fam runs the place. My suggestion is to update a disclaimer for the advertised 15 minute oil change. I was there over an hour, there was about 2-3 cars ahead had me wait longer only for me to ask why, only to learn didnt have my filter in stock. I was very patient but after the hour passed I became a little unnerved as I expressed a third time when I had to leave the 2nd time around Id asked for a status. Would like to give this place another chance sometime.
Quick. Efficient. Knowledgeable.
It was a fast oil change but it was pricey they charged me extra for the filter supposedly because it was a Honda never heard of such nonsense. I dont think Ill be going back
Very disappointed... I always get my inspection/ oil changes here never had an issue. For some reason this year they give me a hard time about my tint. They didnt have an issue before and now I had to have them remove my tint just so they can pass my inspection. I get it, they need to follow code. So what you havent followed code for 3 years?? 2nd the inspection is $7 and they try to charge me $15. Nice try...Never giving these people my business again.
Service was great. I was in and out.
7 years going and always have liked the service and the mechanics are really helpful.
Good shop
Worst shop ever went for an oil change they told me the tension pully so I got the part they supposedly fix it. Well they certainly did not fix it they ended messing up my ac when I had it fix less than 2 months ago, I had no problem with my ac till they put worked on my car not only was the manager rude but kept hanging up the phone I had to go back to the ship to ask for an explanation and yet he was still rude not wanting to cooperate kept saying my ac had old parts when I myself bought the parts from auto zone before fixing my ac..WORST PLACE EVER DO NOT TAKE UR CAR THERE THEY WILL JUST MAKE U WASTE ALOT OF MONEY JUST TO DO A CRAPPY JOB OR MESS UP UR CAR
Great customer service!
BEWARE: Theyre more interested in getting your money than fixing the problem.I went to the Auto Diagnostic Center to FIX A GAS GUZZLING PROBLEM of getting only 11 miles/gallon when I should have been getting 20 miles/gallon. The diagnosis was that a full tune-up was needed: the tune-up was completed and I left with happy expectations. However, THE GAS GUZZLING PROBLEM WAS NOT FIXED.So I went to AutoZone for a free auto diagnosis of my car. The computer diagnosis indicated;1. Fuel pressure or MAF (Mass Air Flow) sensor is defective2.Oxygen sensor is defective3. Ignition misfire4. Fuel injector problem.Altho I paid over $340 for repair, the Auto Diagnogistic Center didnt perform a simple computer analysis to confirm the GAS GUZZLING PROBLEM had been fixed. For that reason they earned this Google commentary.
They have fast friendly service.
